Hi guys!
Too lazy to multi-quote, but here goes...

V: I am going to miss you and Leo, but I understand. Do you have my cell number in case you get time?

JO: The cakes are cute. Can't wait to see your article. Don't forget to link us. I leave my doors and windows open all the time. Drives Bob batty!

Jen:  for you, Jon and Meeska. Wow, bummer of a day!

CE: Dental Floss Killer! Glad you are having a good day. No tennis today?

Dawn: Please come organize my house too. I'm a wreck.

************
Got new undies for Gus, two new bras for me, (yay!!), a new book for the flights, and went to the therapist.
She advised me to take a "stress vacation" from anyone or thing that is stressing me out. So, no phone calls from my family! :lmao: Seriously, my mom's life stresses me out to no end. So, I'm going to be avoiding her for a while. She probably won't even notice! :rotfl2:

I feel good when I see the therapist. Like I'm taking an active roll in feeling better, IYKWIM? Things are turning around. I feel it.

I have a few hours at home and then I'm off to get SD and Gus and go to see SD's dr. Then drive thru dinner and P.T. Conferences for SD. I am glad they have them tonight so that I'll have a better idea what he'll be missing on our trip. I regret planning this trip to take him out of school, but he'll be ok. This might be the last time I try it though. It's too hard to catch up in HS.

I'm going to do some laundry so we can start packing! Temps for FL next week are in the high 70's!!!! YAY!!!!

MEL:goodvibes

Hi Fockers, just driving by soo busy with the rest of year end, will be happy when it's February.

Hope all is well ( saw that about jen and Jon:hug: )

Carrie- I've been doing the same thing. I did get the unwanted gift in a box yesterday, but I don't have tape. :sad2: I'm hoping to get it out this week, though.
Okay..I`ll get my stuff together. its not crap. I hope they like it. ;)

And we are home from the hospital.

Jon got the stomach flu and we were in the ER all night long as he couldn't keep down his meds. :guilty: They gave him 2 bags of fluid along with his meds, and wanted to keep us into the afternoon but he was hysterical about staying. :guilty:

He had pretty much stopped his vomiting by about 5 this morning. They kept him and made sure he could hold down some water and let us go home.

Now he's sleeping behind me on my bed.

Oh...and also send good thoughts to Meeska. She is having surgery today to blast some more of her kidney stones.

Oh no Jen! poor Jon. and I`ll be sending good thoughts to Tera.

Now I feel like the dental floss killer. ;)

Can you actually kill dental floss? I was at the dentist last week. I should`ve ask her. :confused3

I love these!!! now I`m thinking of a Mom and Sam trip for his 16th birthday at the end of June....:hyper:

Hi Mo!! hows Namath? :guilty:

Once again a drive by as I am tired and have been at the emergency room since about 6:30.
:grouphug:
I know the student teaching is hard right now, but you will be so glad when it is over and it will be worth it. I'm sorry it is so hard on Bug.
Hope your family will feel better soon.
I've lost a little tonnage since starting the low carb thing.
:cheer2: That's great!
Yep we're staying at GF from 12th to 22nd December :yay: And yep it's for legal reasons!
A winter trip! I wonder if you'll be able to go to the waterparks then? Oh yeah, every time I think it is cold, I see English people in shorts who think it is warm.
I had that weird sleeping thing last night. I woke up at 3 am, for no reason and just couldn't go back to sleep! It must be anxiety related, as I haven't had the issue at all since Bob came home and then as soon as he left it came back....:confused3
I did the same thing night before last.

I had oodles to say, but I've forgotten. I must need my second cup of coffee. I can tell you this...for all the winter storm carp yesterday, I saw about 37 snow flakes. That's it. #3 was heartbroken. He was crying and asked me if he'd ever see snow.
Awww! I know how you feel. My kids are always asking me for snow - like I can magically produce it. They are always so disappointed.
Kate - I didn't realize you are in Charleston. Several of my old high school friends are there now. My sis lived there and loved it, but she is in Columbia now.

Aw, poor guy. You can come visit anytime - we have 2 guest rooms and an air mattress. :goodvibes Of course, it's 11 with a wind chill of 3 right now, so...
Yikes. We actually were at 8 a couple mornings ago. I wouldn't even walk ds out to the bus stop. Thankfully it is right in front of our house. We looked out the window and when I heard it, I told him to run out there. I stood in the garage and watched him get on the bus.

Hmmm. I never slept well WITH my husband home, lol! :rotfl: Think that was prophetic?!
:rotfl2:

Gramma and I are fighting over the thermostat. Life as usual!
This sounds like dh and me.

I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned today, I opened all the windows and the back door to get some air in. I then went off to the shops totally forgetting I'd opened everything up and the back door was wide open  Luckily the burglars in the area weren't fast enough and everything was fine but OMG how stupid :rotfl:
DH was mad at me yesterday morning because I left the front door unlocked all night. At least I didn't leave it open. Besides, he always checks the door - it's part of his OCD thing that he has to check everything 5 times before he goes to bed, so I say it is his fault.
I've also got my first interview, my press release went out yesterday, it's for a website about kids :thumbsup2
:cool1:

*************************************************
Jodi - Have fun on your DLR trip!

Rachel - you will love the Poly!

Tracy - I'm not surprised that Waldo will return to the world. I bet he will again proclaim that it is his last visit and it won't be.

Slate - Did the kids get to miss more than 1 day of school due to the snow?

Sunday my ds will be 8 and dd will be 4. DD is getting her tonsils and adenoids out 1 week from tomorrow. Nothing else really going on. Mr Diz is super stressed at work and exhausted all the time. I think I want to go have another sisters weekend.

Gramma and I are fighting over the thermostat.
Did you get your utility bill this month? $60.00 more than last month and I used less. :faint: Who know's what next month will be since I actually had to turn on the heat? :headache:

Yep we're staying at GF from 12th to 22nd December :yay:
I hope you'll have time for lunch or dinner. :cool1:

I've also got my first interview, my press release went out yesterday, it's for a website about kids :thumbsup2
How exciting! ::yes::

And we are home from the hospital.
:grouphug: to you all.

I feel good when I see the therapist. Like I'm taking an active roll in feeling better, IYKWIM? Things are turning around. I feel it.

That's a great attitude, Mel. :thumbsup2

I had my second photography class this morning. How did I not realize there is so much math involved? :faint: So far all he's done is talk, so I'm hoping when we get to application, I'll get it.

I'm picking up Reid from school this afternoon and after my sis told him this morning, all he was saying was Tantie and Deuce, the cat! :)

Now the question is do I want to have it at Garden Grill or Chef Mickey's? I'm thinking GG, as it will be less chaotic!
:rotfl: I think I would go for GG as you say it's less hectic, let me know if it's yummy!

JO: The cakes are cute. Can't wait to see your article. Don't forget to link us. I leave my doors and windows open all the time. Drives Bob batty!
They look even better IRL I really wanted to eat one :rotfl: I will link you and to any other things too and the house really needed to be aired :rotfl:

Woohooo on the bras :rotfl2: and good advice

I love these!!! now I`m thinking of a Mom and Sam trip for his 16th birthday at the end of June....:hyper:
Sounds good, remember he'd either get in free, get a super fastpass for 4 rides (that's the one I wouldn't get) or a gift card for about $75 to spend :thumbsup2

A winter trip! I wonder if you'll be able to go to the waterparks then? Oh yeah, every time I think it is cold, I see English people in shorts who think it is warm.
You've seen my TR photos haven't you :rotfl2:

DH was mad at me yesterday morning because I left the front door unlocked all night. At least I didn't leave it open. Besides, he always checks the door - it's part of his OCD thing that he has to check everything 5 times before he goes to bed, so I say it is his fault.
Glad I'm not the only one :rotfl2:

Did you get your utility bill this month? $60.00 more than last month and I used less. :faint: Who know's what next month will be since I actually had to turn on the heat? :headache:
Ours have gone down here :confused3 Hope yours do too!

I hope you'll have time for lunch or dinner. :cool1:
Of course :thumbsup2 Did you hear I may come for the 5K in September?

I'm picking up Reid from school this afternoon and after my sis told him this morning, all he was saying was Tantie and Deuce, the cat! :)
Awww cute :goodvibes

:rotfl2: Hey you know just as much as me but thanks :goodvibes If she has a boy those new pirate chest cakes look great, here's a photo I took! Oh there is a princess one too but I prefer the pirate one :rotfl2:

Those are very cool, and she has twins who are boy/girl, so she could have both. :thumbsup2

Sorry, I was at a breakfast meeting.!

Pshew. ;)

CE: Dental Floss Killer! Glad you are having a good day. No tennis today?

Nope, a quiet day today. Tennis tomorrow, just a class. Less stress, more workout. ::yes:: And we usually laugh a lot. :)

I feel good when I see the therapist. Like I'm taking an active roll in feeling better, IYKWIM? Things are turning around. I feel it.

Hi Fockers, just driving by soo busy with the rest of year end, will be happy when it's February.

Hiya, Mo!

Yikes. We actually were at 8 a couple mornings ago. I wouldn't even walk ds out to the bus stop. Thankfully it is right in front of our house. We looked out the window and when I heard it, I told him to run out there. I stood in the garage and watched him get on the bus.

::yes:: We can (in the winter, anyway) see the bus through the trees on the other street before it turns on to ours (and they stop at the house). So, on those really frigid mornings, I stood at the front window and watched for it; when I saw her on the other street, I sent the boys out. I'm glad we can do that.

Sunday my ds will be 8 and dd will be 4. DD is getting her tonsils and adenoids out 1 week from tomorrow. Nothing else really going on. Mr Diz is super stressed at work and exhausted all the time. I think I want to go have another sisters weekend.

Wow, they have the same birthday? My best friend here has twins who were born on her older son's 5th birthday, so she has three kids, one birthday... She really thinks she should head to WDW this year, but they'd have to miss school. ;)

Sorry about Mr. Diz, and hey, take another weekend!

I had my second photography class this morning. How did I not realize there is so much math involved? :faint: So far all he's done is talk, so I'm hoping when we get to application, I'll get it.

I am sure you will. :goodvibes

***************************************************
I went out to Target, then called D and we met for lunch. :goodvibes Then I went to the grocery. It was nice. But I can't believe it's already nearly 3:00.

The boys have yoga later, so we'll be out again. I did actually run through a car wash, too - coming home from their tennis last night, I honestly couldn't see my headlights as they were too salt and grime covered. :crazy2:

I just cannot get warm today. I'm sitting here with my Mammoths on, a warm dog next to me and the laptop on me, but I'm chilled. :( And it's 23 out, so it's not horrible for January here, AND I'm in the house which should be the same temperature, anyway! :rotfl2:

Do you mean that Tr that you and Jess haven't finished:upsidedow
No the December one :rolleyes1 :rotfl: She only has 1 more day to do!!!!

Those are very cool, and she has twins who are boy/girl, so she could have both. :thumbsup2
Not sure how much they are but she could :thumbsup2

 did that warm you up at all? :rotfl2: Seriously get warm!

Hey, anyone who is over on facebook and in Pet Society go visit Focker. I haven't seen him for a couple of days. I'm sure he needs a bath!

Thanks!

Mary, the Loud kids have missed two days of school.

Does anyone have any info on Disney offering a buyout to some execs? Or layoffs?

Yes, there's something in the Wall St. Journal today, but I'm not a subscriber so I can't read it. This is all I can view: "LOS ANGELES – Walt Disney Co. is offering buyout packages to roughly 600 executives at the company's domestic parks and resorts division in an effort to reduce costs during the recession."

ETA: Here it is in the Orlando Sentinel: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news...isney-executive-layout-012109,0,3302228.story

thanks, I'm going over to read.

hmmm. There is so much more Disney could do......

I'm not sure there's a whole lot else to do beyond reduce the number of employed staff. I can't even tell you how badly tourism's taking a hit down here; numbers are way, way, WAY down. Fewer visitors = fewer people needed to serve them. It's not just Disney - Busch Gardens, the beaches, St. Petersburg - we're all taking a hit and unemployment is going up each day. :sad1:

Margie- :grouphug: :grouphug: (where did the 2 people hug go? )

Mel- I am sort of the same way with sleep..if KC is out i just can't get good sleep until he's back. Just think in only a few more days you'll have double good sleep- NotBob & Disney!

Janet- LOL. KC could care less where we stay in AC. I just HAVE to get a decent deal! I wish I could find a place with a jetted tub for cheaper, it is our anniversary getaway after all! But it's looking like Ceasar's, Bally's or Trump Plaza (since they are all centrally located)

Jen- :grouphug: for you, Jon & Meeska!!!!

:wave2: HI :wave2: To everyone else I may have missed.

""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

I feel pretty icky today. LAst nigth KC said to me "I think I'm getting sick" this after he told me his boss has walking pneumonia, the guy who sites right behind KC and coughs in his direction....he had to say all that right?? I feel like poo today. it's starting but I refuse to let it get me. Vitamin C here I come!

I'm taking it easy today so I can kick the sicks a$$. Making some grilled cheeses for dinner, something easy since I feel lazy.

So who's read the "Shopaholic" series by Sphie Kinsella?? I tried, and I just could not get into the first one. So I'm swapping it back with paperbackswap. I'm working on the first Stephani Plum book now, and I like it after 5 pages.

I'm sure i'll pop in and out today. Have a good one!

:scratchin They could return to white buns. :rotfl2:

Some blame is the economy and some Disney brought on themselves. :crazy2:

::yes:: V. Mom said they have already reduced the hours of the full time employees. They are even cutting the College Program and not bringing in as many college students this semester. Even the part-time employees are getting less hours. Mom doesn't mind, she only works 1 or 2 days a week any (she is 72 after all:rolleyes: ) and dad only really works when there is an event at Wide World of Sports (he's going to be 79 in November:goodvibes ).

She said alot of people are asking her to give them her days if she doesn't want to work so they can work more hours. On the weeks that she gets 3 - 5 daysshe will do it because that is too many for her. She won't give up the holidays though becasue she gets time and a half for that.

I wonder if they will do some of things like after 911? Didn't they close POFQ? Hey maybe they should stop sending all that stuff to Jo! Just kidding Jo!!!! LY/MI:flower3:

There should be a law against job cuts at hospitals and Disney. You can't provide healing and magic if you are worried about your job.
