Anyone wanna do a quick catch up for me???:flower3:

I did see it's snowing for Salty and Rachel is staying at the POLY!!! :cool1: I love, love, love the Poly.

Our computer went out and I was without it for a day. I did have my phone, so was able to keep up with email, but DISing on a 2 inch screen is not fun. :headache:

Hope all is well with everyone and guess what....

WALDO IS RETURNING TO WDW WITH US IN AUGUST!!!:scared:
Yup, he done drank the Kool-Aid!!! :lmao:

Nothing else going on - have my 6 mo. check up at the dentist tomorrow and then our Girl Scout meeting. Waldo is having an endoscopy on Thursday. They're not happy with his liver and want to rule out any trouble before taking out his gall bladder.

I've decided to give in and try breakfast for dinner. Making some oatmeal/blueberry pancakes and turkey sausage patties - yummy! :teeth:

Have a good night all! :wave2:

Hi T!

Nana said she was watching in one of her classes and a kid spoke up during the poem and said someone needed to throw a shoe at that lady. I was student teaching today and did not get to watch much of the anything. We did not set the preschoolers down to watch it.

Hi T! Guess what??? I'm leaving for DLR in less than 30 hours!!!!!! And of course, I have a list three miles long to get done before then, including contacting you about meeting up on Thursday or Friday. I'm going to email you my cell phone number, okay??

~~~~~~~~~
So, this is a quick drive by because I have Bible study in the morning and haven't even opened the book yet. I'm supposed to have up to page 27 done! So, I'm headed to hit the books.
I'll probably check in tomorrow afternoon. I've got Bible Study and then need to run an errand or two before picking DD4 up from school at 1pm and going to the Y for my workout. Then, I'll be home until Brownies at 6pm. Tomorrow is our cookie deadline so I need to be there to pick up everyone's forms. My mom is coming down at some point tomorrow and then we wake up at 4:00 am to leave for DLR on Thursday!!!!!!:cheer2:
Have a great night everyone!
Golf was good, I played OK a few over my handicap but fine!
I can't access the US WDW site I don't suppose one of you could price up the GF for 12th December for 5 nights for me please :flower3:
ooooohhhhhhh gf!!! i would love to stay there someday!!
love the pics slate!
Anyone notice my new siggie :sad2:
when did they make you do that??
Back from the dr. with Gus. He has an ear infection! So, antibiotics for him. I am glad I had it checked before we flew out on Sunday. Now, I just have to hope that the other one doesn't end up with anything.
I am going to put my pjs on ladies! It's cold and I'm uncomfortable.
MEL
he should be fine by the time you leave. good thing you got it checked.
Hi
THis place is crazy one day 2 pages and them all of a sudden WHOP--50 pages. Im never going to be able to keep up.
it's hard for me to keep up sometimes too!!
Good afternoon everyone!
Rachel- Have a great stay at the Poly! :woohoo: We absolutely love it. I'm already feeling bad about canceling our stay there this summer in favor of a longer stay at SSR.
it seems lovely !! i can't wait!
Hi, all!
Lost my tennis match. :crazy2: But, it was still fun. We lost so badly it only took an hour, so I got the kids with no time issues at all. :lmao:
having fun is what matters and i bet it burns a ton of calories!
Homemade in the sense that I did more than just open the can...LOL. I am making cheddar cheese soup thinned out with chicken stock and adding some veggies leftover from the stir fry last night.
that's homemade in my book!!!
WALDO IS RETURNING TO WDW WITH US IN AUGUST!!!:scared:
Hi T! Guess what??? I'm leaving for DLR in less than 30 hours!!!!!!
Have a great night everyone!
wooo whoooo!!!!!
Once again a drive by as I am tired and have been at the emergency room since about 6:30. I am quite ticked with the medical in this area. Nana injured her knee last spring and I had such a hard time with the doctors giving a referral to a specialist and then it took forever to get in at the specialist and then I needed xrays and a new appointment since dd's doctor never ordered them. We finally got the xray and then there were other test and Nana ended up on crutches and a wheel chair well into the summer. She even ended up in one at WDW because she just couldn't walk it all. There was never a followup after the physical therapy but she said it felt fine.
Well today I get a call that she fell walking home from school and fell hard. It hurt to breath her shoulders and arms hurt, one wrist, right ankle swollen and tender, and yes the left knee is what she landed on first. I take her to the ER after work because the breathing was not any better and I am now thinking she could have re injured the knee.
A medical student comes in and pokes and prods were it hurts. He said it seemed nothing was broke but felt the ankle was a bad sprain and the knee seems sloppy and could be re-injured. He wants xrays since the specialist will want them. He wants to wrap the knee and ankle and keep her of of them. The ankle for a couple of days and the knee until the specialist looks at it. I think this sucks we leave for WDW next month and tennis starts in March. I am thinking he will recommend her to the specialist and this will speed things up not going threw her doctor.
I leave to take Bug to Grandma while they do the xray. I get back and a new guy is in with Nana. He is the PA and he said the xray was fine and nothing is broke so she did not re-injure the knee. He doesn't want anything wrapped she can bear weight is off PE for 3 days and doesn't need to see anyone about the knee. I feel the xray doesn't tell the whole story with knee injuries and I feel we are going to just end up going round and round with her doctor like last time. She will end up missing tennis this year if something is wrong and they do not fix it soon. How can they go from one extreme to another so quickly. Add on top of this her stomach is still giving her fits and Bug had another barf fest just last Sunday. Is it that hard to look into things further and really figure it out. I know we can't have unnecessary medical things done all the time but they are kids and should not have to be in pain or puking all the darn time.
And also Bug who doesn't want to be in afternoon school because he wants to be home with me like he always has been was put on the bus this afternoon kicking and screaming and crying for me. I just want to quit school and stay home with him. Yes I know he is 4 and can be away from me but he never has had to and doesn't understand me having to student teach where he can't be with me.
I am tired and going to bed. Can someone please post a recap of the day or let me know what is going on, besides snow in NC :rotfl2:, that would be great as I can not read back to much in detail.
Hi Jodster! this trip seemed to have sneaked up fast! I think a Bible study class would be interesting. I`m catholic, but we dont go. I want to get into a good family based church with youth groups and things like that. I just havent found one yet. :angel: I feel bad, because our church is right on our street. I live on Church Street. he he...and when we drive by and a Mass is going on the kids ask why are there so many cars there. :rolleyes: Catholic church is just so boring and pointless..I want something more. :angel:
Hi CE!! :goodvibes
Small catch-up:
Kat - Having some back pain and fixed up some sammies for din-din.
Mel - Missing Bob. She will see him at WDW.
Jo - Golfing in soggy, 40 degree weather and planning a Dec. trip.
Jodi - Leaving for DLR on Thursday. Have fun!!!
CE - Lost at Tennis. Crazy schedule but makes it work. Have you managed any 'Me' time yet?
Ed - Closet Catholic
Rachel - Booked at the POLY!
Me - I've lost a little tonnage since starting the low carb thing. Tending to a dog that couldn't walk a week ago and now won't sit still.
Tig - Says Hi.
drugs-1-1.jpg
Jo-still golfing??:confused3 Do you golf year round or do your clubs close. Our clubs close here for Jan and Feb.
Unless it's under water or frozen the course is open, last year I think it only shut for 2 days, this year it's been very wet!!!!
Mental crutch note- Made it to the top of p. 60. I'll be back later. I've got to head out and pick up the girls.
Wow David you are the King of quoting!!!
Lost my tennis match. :crazy2: But, it was still fun. We lost so badly it only took an hour, so I got the kids with no time issues at all. :lmao:
Well I suppose there's always an upside :rotfl2:
Y'all planning another trip cross the puddle? It would be a good time for the rest of your crew to see the world decked out for the holidays!
Yup. Went straight to the small print. It's one of those persnickety attorney traits. :rolleyes:
Yep we're staying at GF from 12th to 22nd December :yay: And yep it's for legal reasons!
WALDO IS RETURNING TO WDW WITH US IN AUGUST!!!:scared:
Yup, he done drank the Kool-Aid!!! :lmao:
We knew he would :rotfl2:
when did they make you do that??
Yesterday!
Once again a drive by as I am tired and have been at the emergency room since about 6:30.
I'm so sorry, hope you get it all sorted, Nana isn't in too much pain and that it heals quick!
On TFW or Mom's Panel?????Now Jo you weregetting inudated by us are you sure you want us to start again!!:rotfl2: Are yougoing in December for your family trip as a Mom????
On the MP Rosie :thumbsup2 And yep 12th to 22nd December at the GF :yay:
I need to do some serious cleaning today, my house looks like a pig sty :rotfl:
Morning girls, and Mr. T!
Margie: I have :hug: for you. You have alot on your plate right now. First, a deep breath! Then, I say, focus on WHY you're student teaching. It's sad for Bug but he'll adapt. Kids are reslilient. You're doing this so that things are better down the line. Nana will be ok. You know if it was broken, or seriously sprained they would have dealt with it. And, you can always go back if it acts up. I hope this helped. It's too hard to be the momma already without beating ourselves up! :hug:
JO: I'm so excited for you. December at the GF is gorgeous. We stayed during Xmas two years ago. The gingerbread house is so pretty and they make the best cookies!
T: Yay! Another Waldo adventure! Hope his testing comes out ok.
Kristel: That cartoon is the best one yet! ROFL! Hope Max is better and better each day!
Jodi: Omgosh! It's so soon! You guys are going to have so much fun! Give T a hug from us!
Carrie: I hear you on the church thing. I made my decisions on it based on other factors but it's hard to explain to the kids sometimes... Have you tried a Congregational Church? (Just a guess as that's the one most of my "formerly Catholic" friends attend here....)
************
I'm sure I've forgotten someone, sorry. I had that weird sleeping thing last night. I woke up at 3 am, for no reason and just couldn't go back to sleep! It must be anxiety related, as I haven't had the issue at all since Bob came home and then as soon as he left it came back....:confused3
I don't know. I'm going to be glad to get on vacation though. :lmao:
Today I have an appt. with my therapist, have to buy some new under-things, then have to take SD to his therapist and finally drop them off at home and go to parent teacher conferences at the H.S. Whew! I'm thinking it's going to be drive-thru for dinner for the kids.
I told Bob I haven't had TIME to miss him yet!
Tomorrow and Friday they are predicting a heat wave for us. 32 degrees! Whoo Hoo!
Have a great day!
MEL
Good morning all !
Margie:grouphug:
Ed You'l find what you're looking for in a church!!:thumbsup2
Sorul Did you als have a little snow:rotfl2:
Jo kep on glfin':thumbsup2
Morning, all! :goodvibes I read through, but didn't quote.
Margie, I'm so sorry. :hug:
T, I'm glad Waldo's heading back, and I hope his testing works out fine. :)
Morning, Kristel! Good update! I did get a "me" day on Friday. :thumbsup2
Kat, that soup sounds GOOD.
Mel, busy day - take care! :hug:
Jodi, have a great day - and I'm excited for your trip so soon!
Good afternoon, Jo! Are you having a good day?
Hi, Carrie! :wave2:
David, T2, Rosie, Rachel, S'late, anyone else my brain is too fuzzy to remember being on since last night, good morning! :grouphug:
*************************************************
D & I watched our movie last night, then went to bed early (for us, anyway - it was just after 11:00.) He's not feeling great, though, and neither of us slept very well. I want to go back to sleep. ;)
I'm sore this morning, too. :upsidedow Apparently an hour and a half of practice followed by a total drubbing is hard on a body... :rotfl2:
I'm needing a grocery run at some point, but I'm anticipating a fairly easy day. :cheer2:
I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! :grouphug:
Kate- I hear you on the whole snowfall shutdown. It happens here in Atlanta when the snow sticks. We've had an occasionally flurry last night and today, but that was about it for precipitation. However, it's absolutely frigid for GA at the moment. :cold:
Looks like I'll be heading up to your neck of the woods in a few weeks. DS6's cub scout troop is doing a trip to Charleston Presidents' day weekend. Not sure of the overall plan, but we're arriving Friday, leaving Monday, and spending Sunday and overnight on the USS Yorktown. It should be a blast; DS6 is really looking forward to an overnight on an aircraft carrier.
You guys are going to love this! One tip....the Yorktown is cold. Bring some extra blankets. Let me know if I can be of help. Oh! You should take the kids to see the Hunley.
Mel, I think you just solved your problem. I NEVER sleep well when DH isn't home. Now you can tell Bob that he's not allowed to leave anymore :p
***********************
I had oodles to say, but I've forgotten. I must need my second cup of coffee. I can tell you this...for all the winter storm carp yesterday, I saw about 37 snow flakes. That's it. #3 was heartbroken. He was crying and asked me if he'd ever see snow.
Ah, to be a kid and think it's magical. pixiedust:
I hope everyone has a great day. I'll be in and out... I have to take #1 to Lego this afternoon, and I'm still searching for cacti.
:goodvibes
Aw, poor guy. You can come visit anytime - we have 2 guest rooms and an air mattress. :goodvibes Of course, it's 11 with a wind chill of 3 right now, so... :rolleyes:
Once again a drive by as I am tired and have been at the emergency room since about 6:30.
What an ordeal! :hug: Hang in there!
Yep we're staying at GF from 12th to 22nd December :yay:
AHEM.
Will David kill you if you were to, say, plan a little lunch, or Test Tracking or some other activity with your imaginary friends V and Leo, who just so happen to be booked during that time?! :yay:
I'm going to be glad to get on vacation though. :lmao:
Mell, it looks like I won't be able to get over to WDW while you're there. :guilty: I'm sorry!
I NEVER sleep well when DH isn't home.
Hmmm. I never slept well WITH my husband home, lol! :rotfl: Think that was prophetic?!
I can tell you this...for all the winter storm carp yesterday, I saw about 37 snow flakes. That's it. #3 was heartbroken. He was crying and asked me if he'd ever see snow.
Want me to take him to Buffalo? He'll never want to see snow again! :rotfl2:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Not much going on here. I'm caught up on work, Leo had a riding lesson last night and Gramma and I are fighting over the thermostat. Life as usual! :rolleyes:
Who messed with the smilies?!?!?! :mad:
