I wanted to give you the news for Doug.

He will be starting an intravenous drug therapy called Avastin. We are awaiting approval from his insurance. Here is a description of the drug:
That sounds great :hug: and too funny about the dishwasher :rotfl2:

AK was so crowded today! What's the deal? We rode Everest twice and left. It seemed like we went backwards much longer than before or have I just not ridden it in awhile? :confused3 I like it though. :goodvibes
It depends where you sit, if you ever get the chance ride it in the dark, it's amazing and such a different ride :thumbsup2

Seriously? Like if you look at your Jan calendar, the Monday is first?
Huh??? :rotfl2:

so, do you pay for each person or are the kids free if with me?
I'm not sure, if there's a person there they normally allow kids in free. We never went in any though as we always made sure to go when we were in a restaurant etc!

that helps. What about capris? They're my summer wear of choice. Jeans ok for the teens? They're wondering what to wear--probably hard to be fashionable---I just wanna be comfortable and not stick out. Still confused about the tennis shoes--I thought they walked a lot??
TE we went about April time and wore jeans and sneakers, honestly anything is fine for touring, plus we never used the metro, we did get passes for the boat but other than that we walked EVERYWHERE and OMG the Champs Elysees is soooooo long the Arc de Triomphe never seemed to get any closer :rotfl2: It's also a good idea to have a plan for some of the museums, eg the Louvre is ginormous so know what you want to see and do them :thumbsup2

Thanks guys! I'm clicking on the Rick Steves site. I HAVE to have a good guide book--
I got the Rick Steves Paris book and just ripped out the walking tour pages each time we took a walk. I love that he gives lots of things off the beaten path!
Ab wants a knock out pill for the plane--she wants to try to sleep so she will be up. I'll prob be kinda nervous so may need one or three too. Ideas?
I totally slept from here to there; Gramma woke me up saying "What do you want for breakfast?" I like Xanax for a little help relaxing without being knocked out.

It's also a good idea to have a plan for some of the museums, eg the Louvre is ginormous so know what you want to see and do them :thumbsup2
YES! ITA.

Thanks guys! I'm clicking on the Rick Steves site. I HAVE to have a good guide book--I still carry a new Passporter each time to WDW (even though some of my own tips are in it!)

I wound up buying the Frommer's guide, and like I said, I highly recommend it. I didn't feel it led to tourist traps, but gave enough info for the things that tourists, frankly, want to see! :goodvibes It also had walking tours. :thumbsup2

I need help from other focker watch people. A few years back I think 2007 we all ordered these lime green lanyards. Now I ordered three and now what do you know DS came along and now he he needs one and wont settle for a generic one. So can anyone help me how to order more or anyone have a spare I can buy?

Very nice, can't quite make out the colour from the photo. Is it black or dark blue/brown?

It's black. I'm really happy with it.

Hello Friends!

I'll be back later with a Focker update.

I wanted to give you the news for Doug.

Def still sending some loving thoughts your way! I have a dishwasher, his name is KC. Thats what he always says. It's his one job in the house.

What book are you reading?

I am choosing between a few at the moment of what to read next...

Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot
or
The Scent of Shadows by Vicki Petterson
or A Quick Bite by Lyndsay Sands.

I'll prob choose tonight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The super came and then all my energy went out the window. I napped. Then the UPS guy woke me up. The matchbooks I ordered for the renewal came. I tried to nap again. I did a little. Now KC is on his way home early so at least we can have dinner together.
I updated my TR yesterday BTW, and may even get to another one tonight!
All this "LOO" talk is making me want to spend a penny!!!:rotfl2:
Kristel hope everything goes well for Doug !!!:hug::hug:
Kat the dress is stunning !!!:cloud9:
I am doing an overnight check tonite !!! It's not gonna be a surprise to one of the staff as it is an effort to catch this "idiot" relief staff doing some of the crazy things I just found out about !!!
Where should I begin :- wheeling himself around the house in a wheelchair , racing around with consumers who don't belong in wheelchairs , leaving the house to buy silly string and shooting it off at the consumers scaring my sweetie to death!!!rummaging thru stuff in the basement that was none of his business !! Totally ignoring the other staff telling him to stop!! Saying he don't care he'll do what he wants !!! Now when I'm there apart from being a wiseguy constantly he has not done any of those things so my hope is to catch him !!! My Boss knows and says "you go gal"":rotfl2:
I have the BEST Staff in the Agency and no one is treating them like dirt !!!!:mad:
I never had any. Good luck!
Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot
I liked that one well enough, but the sequels started to sound all the same. ;)
Go get him, Rosie!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Good morning all. As I said above, it is crazy at work right now. Have no clue why. Oh, wait it could be the 4 day expose the newspaper did on the court system 2 weeks ago:rolleyes1 You know, the one that says none of us do our jobs and how we are overpaid, etc:mad:
Have a home and school meeting tonight.
And I though this was going to be an easy week:sad2:
Hope everyone is having a good morning. I will check back in at lunchtime, if I get get to take a kunch today:rolleyes:
I do know what you mean - you don't want to get anything started and have the guy show up in the middle of mopping or whatnot. I hope he came on time!
Hi Ce and V :wave2:
Hi!
Good morning all. As I said above, it is crazy at work right now. Have no clue why. Oh, wait it could be the 4 day expose the newspaper did on the court system 2 weeks ago:rolleyes1 You know, the one that says none of us do our jobs and how we are overpaid, etc:mad:
Ugh. :hug:
********************************************************
I got nothing... :rotfl:
Sometime today I will HAVE to do the grocery run, but that's about it. The boys finished their hats last night (I forgot to take pictures - I'll try to remember when they come back home.) They were so excited that they took them in today - a day early. Also, Woody had a good point that tomorrow is harder to carry stuff because they have ski club stuff (long underwear, warm socks) in their bags on Thursdays.
It never really stopped snowing all day yesterday, though the accumulation wasn't huge. It's just annoying, because once again there's maybe an inch of snow on the driveway, and I know it's better to get it up so that you're not compacting it as you drive over it, etc., but it's such a non-issue that I have no interest in clearing it, you know? :rolleyes:
Oh, and then MIL called last night - she and stepFIL are coming to visit, but he bought the tickets (or maybe only one ticket, but she seemed sure they were both coming) and they'll be here next Wednesday, she thinks, but isn't sure. :rotfl2: Whatever. :rolleyes: Like my own father, I like stepFIL very much, but he's a harder guest to have, as far as knowing what to do with him, so I'd be fine if it's just her. We'll see.
Jo - Did the boiler guy show up yet?
Yep at about 10am, a different one needs to come tomorrow though!
I'm sorry :hug:
Mopping???? What's that? :rotfl2:
I found this TR as a "just getting started" one - she's posting live, and her pictures are really good:
Since some of you asked... ;)
Read and posted :thumbsup2
The boiler man came but another one needs to come tomorrow, good job I don't work :sad2:
I then spent about an hour in the garden chopping things back, it's very wet though and I think I may have gone a bit crazy with one bush but never mind :rotfl2:
There are loads of Fockers missing at the moment, check in when you can, we miss you :grouphug:
I don't know. :rotfl:
I hope you find out soon :rotfl2:
Me, too!:lmao:
Did I tell you I broke the weed whacker this fall, trying to trim back decorative zebra grass? :rolleyes1 D was thrilled. :rolleyes: :rotfl2:
************************************************
I went to the grocery, so I have the whole afternoon free! Woohooty!
D's not back until late tonight. I need to get some more laundry going, but that's about it.
There are loads of Fockers missing at the moment, check in when you can, we miss you :grouphug:
Missing, like everywhere, or just here? You're scaring me Jo! :eek: ;)
I'm here. I started to update yesterday but found helping TE with Paris info. a lot more fun and exciting than anything I have going! :rotfl:
I'm in planning mode again... but wishing it was for somewhere other than WDW. I'm not exactly burned out; I just want to go somewhere else! But WDW is still cheap, cheap cheap for me, so that's it for a while. :rolleyes:
I placed my Bday cake request with Gramma: White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle from the Cheesecake Factory. I can't stop thinking about it! :love::love::love::rotfl2:
Still coughing. Not as much, so it's getting better, but I have a couple attacks a day. It's making it hard to exercise and my body is not pleased with the lack of movement.
Nothing else new; just rolling along into 2010... :car:
Just popping in to say hello. I'm a missing focker!
Not too much going on here. NotBob is leaving for
China, Japan and S Korea on Jan 29th. He's gone
until Feb 14th. My dear MIL is coming to keep mey
company while he's away. I'm really glad as it's hard
to do all the things I need to do without some relief
occasionally.
Other than that, I've had at least one kid home once
a week for the past month and a half! SD
today with a sinus infection. He's got a Z pac
so he'll be fine soon.
Hope everyone is surviving the winter!
:banana:
Hey everyone! We have been down a lot of Fockers as of late!
I am so annoyed i could scream.:mad::sad2::sad1:
I have been applying like mad wherever I can. KC keeps telling me to look more long term but I really want something to get me out of the house. I really don't want to work security again, but some secuirty places offer front desk positions in hotels, that I can do. So I applied at a few. I got 3 call backs today and was excited at the interviewing prospect, until they all tell you that they want $75 or more $$$$ to get you in. :scared1: They say it's for the background check or whatever but i have worked for a security company before and they pay for you, not the other way around. This is why I never renewed my license, because the right company will pay for that as well. 3 CALLS like this!!!! 3!!!!!!!
Anyone know of any good classified sites? It's rough out there man. Rough.
I plan to combat this with some loud show tunes and cleaning out my closet (we did KC's last week) and baking some bread. UURRGGHH.
Thanks for the vent, i needed that. :rolleyes:
CE and V--thanks--and glad I could help with the trip report diversion! ;)
Kat--I've read size 12 by Meg Cabot--it's pretty good. I need to write down the others--we usually seem to like the same books!
I've been reading Match me if you can by Susan Elizabeth Phillips--it's a good romance...nothing paranormal about it tho!
Janet--Paris trip is 6/16 to 6/25. I'm glad I grabbed the frequent flyer tix back in August cause instead of 60K each they are now 120K each.:eek: I bought one ticket out right and it was $1500....I'm hoping it will go down and I can rebook it for cheaper...but daran says to be careful or I'll end up on other flights....might not be such a bad idea! :rolleyes:
He's never flown C-o-a-c-h on international flights so he's wondering how that will go with his long legs. He says we'll never know the difference--they were made for 5 foot tall people!
