The boys miraculously stayed in bed until 7:00. ;) They opened stuff up pretty rapidly, but have been happily playing ever since.

Glad they enjoyed their day:goodvibes

Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with good memories to last a lifetime!

We've finished opening the gifts and I've put together the zhu zhu maze

Jimmy didn't even say anything that he didn't get this:thumbsup2

I gave it to him anyway. I have the receipt, so I told him we could take it back and get a different Lego set.

Was he diappointed:hug:

My fingers are full of glue from all the friggin' Lego sets I had to put together. Yes, I glued them ALL! They're a PITA to put together and Evan's too impatient to deal with it

 Jimmy would killme. He taked his apart and puts them together all the time!

I'm glad everyone's holiday was happy! :goodvibes I think Reid had 4 Christmasses with his grandparents, parents, my parents and us. Next year he won't be so lucky. :rotfl2: When we got home Mitch commented that this was the easiest Christmas to clean up from since we had no tree, etc. See, I did know what I was doing. :thumbsup2 Today we have nothing planned except Mitch is bringing his personal things home from his office. Even though there will be people working, there won't be as many as during the week which he thinks will be better. The family drama continues by my grandmother telling me that I used to be loving, thinner and still haven't reached my full potential. Yes, I'm well aware, as that's not the first, or I'm sure last, time I'll hear that.

:hug:How much longer are they there for? When is Mitch scheduled to leave:hug:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Christmas was a huge success here as well. Jimmy had so much fun and today he is excited becasue it is pajama day and that means he gets to just play with all of his new toys:thumbsup2 We will have family game day a bit later. I have to run to the grocery store to get the food for tomorrow, my brothers and their families will be coming over then.

I am thinking of hitting up Kohls and Target, just to see what they have:rolleyes1 Then again maybe not.;)

Happy Saturday everyone:goodvibes

Rosie, I think you're right on with the weather. :thumbsup2

Janet, if you go shopping, let me know if there's anything I need. :rotfl: Supposedly there are some great sales. :thumbsup2

Thanks Angela I think I'll bring a couple of pairs of shorts in case and capris and a spare pair of jeans other than the ones I will wear leaving the frigid North!!:lmao: I got an Eeyore hoodie for Chrismas and have a Disney one so along with T shirts and1 other sweatshirt I should be fine!!:cloud9:

Good Morning Fockers!
It looks like Christmas was a success for most of us.

T says our Christmas card are New Year’s cards. She has discovered the joy of repeat gifts.

ANGELA was baking and drinking.

DENISE spread her good cheer to the neighbors while getting her Christmas prep on.

ROSIE worked on Xmas eve. She did some last minute shopping.

MEL did shopping and visiting in her Pjs.

CE was crazy trying to get things ready for the dinner and found out that everyone was coming over an hour and half later than she had originally said.

DAWN went to San Antonio.

JV had a small get-together with a huge ham.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yeah, Christmas at Doug's mom's was as good as always. We need a bigger house though. I said 30 people. It was more like 40 as a few showed up that I wasn't expecting. It was like the busiest day at WDW-Elbow to elbow. Only this crowd was a lot nicer. :goodvibes

I was so stuffed I came home and vegged in front of the TV. I didn't want to move for fear I'd explode.

I got Doug a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' hoodie at WDW for his Christmas. The dogs got him a Pluto pin for his lanyard. I got some music CDs from him. Plus he gave me a very nice necklace with a pearl and diamond. He had forgotten that he got me the same thing 2 years ago.:rotfl2: He was supposed to get me a ring this year. Oh well it is pretty and a bit smaller than the other one. I told him it's not a big deal.

I thought I'd share my story of discovering my Ddad was Santa:

We always left milk and choc. chip cookies out for Santa and Rudolf on Christmas Eve. We would also leave a short note thanking him. He would always leave us a note back. Rudolf would even leave his hoof prints on the note too. We thought that was such a thrill.

When I was about 8 years old, I discovered something about the note from Santa. I guess I was becoming more aware of my surroundings. I started paying attention to details. I noticed that Santa's writing, that is the way the letters were formed, looked very familiar. :scared1:
It was my Ddad's writing!

I confronted my Ddad about it. He said he worked for Santa during Christmas and asked me not to tell my brother. I was still puzzled by the Rudolf prints. I knew he couldn't have Rudolf with him because he needed to be with Santa. My Ddad showed me how he did it. He worked in a steel foundry. He would take his dirty shoes and rub some of the black soot off of them with a thumb to make the hoof prints.

I still think to this day that my Ddad was one of the smartest dad's in the world.

Morning, all (oops, it's actually a little after noon here... :rotfl:)

Angela,

T, sounds good. The boys actually built their own Lego stuff yesterday, but they always get frustrated when the little pieces get confused or lost - it's not a horrible idea for my house, either!

Hi, Janet, Rosie, Jen & Kristel!

******************************************
Not much happening. I'm getting really stuffed up - I knew it was starting yesterday, but woke up feeling really kind of ick. :sad2:

D got up around 8:00 to be ready for the snowblower repair guy. He came relatively early and things look good there. It's been snowing a bit off and on, but it's supposed to continue to warm up during the day and basically rain all night. The kids are mostly playing all the new Wii games. I've been reading some and doing some laundry. It's been a lazy day overall, which is nice.

My parents called and have left their house, so hopefully they will arrive at some point tomorrow, barring any really bad weather. I need to get the guest room together and so forth. We did a pretty good job cleaning up after the party and yesterday's madness, so that's at least good. ;)

Last night as they were getting in bed, Woody was kind of complaining that we thought they might have had to stay home all day if the snowblower dude didn't show up early, but since this morning, all he's wanted to do is play the new games, so I don't know if we need to get them out of here or not. I don't want meltdowns and boredom (especially if it's raining all day tomorrow before my parents get here) and yet I hate to pull them away from the fun of the new stuff. Maybe I'll get D to take them out somewhere so I can nap. ;) :rotfl2:

Enjoy your day! :grouphug:

I just had a friend e-mail to say that they are going to be in Orlando and want to go to WDW for ONE day on NEW YEARS EVE! :scared1: Well my first reaction was to laugh. I then wrote him a books worth of info on where he should go, why, and in what order he should do rides. I advised him that Epcot would be the least crowded but still crowded. :rotfl: I gave him advise on the other parks as well though just in case he chooses one of them instead. I hope that he has fun despite the crowds.

Janet, if you go shopping, let me know if there's anything I need. :rotfl: Supposedly there are some great sales. :thumbsup2

Decided not to go. right now anyway;) I should run over to the mall becasue Jimmy needs a new pair of everyday sneakers (He has plain black one's for school) but I don't know if I will get him out of his jammies. I may just have Jim take him on Monday while I am work:thumbsup2

I thought I'd share my story of discovering my Ddad was Santa:

That is so awesome Kristel:hug:

Not much happening. I'm getting really stuffed up - I knew it was starting yesterday, but woke up feeling really kind of ick. :sad2:

Oh no, hope you can kick it:hug:

It's been a lazy day overall, which is nice.

Here too:thumbsup2

++++++++++++++++++++++

So I went to the grocery store and got what I needed for dinner with my family tomorrow. Didn't go shopping, but I still may depending on what the boys want to do. Right now they are building the Spongebob Lego's Jimmy got from Jim's sister. It's the Krusty Krab which leaves only Sandy's Rocket and the Chum Bucket to complete the set:thumbsup2

I have some pictures to post, so as sooon as I get them loaded into Photobucket I will do that. They are on facebook, for anyone that is over there:thumbsup2

I'm sure I will probably be back later:hug:

/
Was he diappointed:hug:
Actually, he thought it was cool. He wanted to keep the set, but I convinced him he can get another CITY set instead. :thumbsup2

 Jimmy would killme. He taked his apart and puts them together all the time!
Oh no way would Evan take apart the Police Station. I only glue the HUGE sets, like the Police Station and City Corner.

I am thinking of hitting up Kohls and Target, just to see what they have:rolleyes1 Then again maybe not.;)

Happy Saturday everyone:goodvibes
I was going to go out today, but I'm just not in the mood to deal with people today. I think I'll wait until Monday when most go back to work. Evan needs some jeans and Andy needs new shoes for WDW.

Morning, all (oops, it's actually a little after noon here... :rotfl:)
Still morning, here! ;)
The kids are mostly playing all the new Wii games. I've been reading some and doing some laundry. It's been a lazy day overall, which is nice.
What games did you get them? I don't know why but we only bought 1 Wii game... LEGO Batman. :confused3

Enjoy your day! :grouphug:
You, too. :goodvibes
I just had a friend e-mail to say that they are going to be in Orlando and want to go to WDW for ONE day on NEW YEARS EVE! :scared1:
:scared1: is right!
I have some pictures to post, so as sooon as I get them loaded into Photobucket I will do that. They are on facebook, for anyone that is over there:thumbsup2
Evan and I were looking at your pics last night. He said "HEY! That boy has the same Batman set I have! Can he come over?"

********************************************************
Another lazy day here. Andy had to go to into work for a few hours and then we'll be going to his sister's house to exchange gifts this evening. We had a nice quiet evening last night and a wonderful dinner. :goodvibes
The parental units are going shopping, I'm not in the mood. I KNOW! I don't know what's wrong with me.
Our trip is in 12 days and I'm no where near packed. I really need to work on that and then I just realized our 180 day window opens up on the 31st!!!! :scared1: :faint: I need to jump on the planning wagon PRONTO!

I'm sure I'll be back later! :cool2:

Oh no, hope you can kick it:hug:

Thanks, it's not getting much better, but...

What games did you get them? I don't know why but we only bought 1 Wii game... LEGO Batman. :confused3

I had MIL get the Resort Sports with the Motion plus things for all the controllers. My aunt got them the New Super Mario Brothers off their Wish List, and Santa brought Mario Party 8. Woody got Buzz the Ravin' Ragin'
Rabbids thing and they bought me the Wii Fit Plus.

We've never had the Mario Kart, and our friends last night got a Wii from Santa with that, so they're thinking to pool their money and get either that or the new Lego Indy 2 (we have Batman and they love it!). We debated getting Lego Rock Band, but since we don't have any other RB games, we'd have to try to find the instruments alone, and we were having a really hard time with that. :confused3

Our trip is in 12 days and I'm no where near packed.

I really AM getting worried about you. No shopping, no packing??? :faint:

***************************************************
I napped for a while whilst D was replacing the parts he stole off our neighbor's snowblower to use ours, now that ours is really fixed. Woody went and played with the neighbor kid, but Buzz is having a pj day and stayed in with me. :lmao:

I probably need to go tomorrow to the grocery store to get stuff for my parents, but today has been just what I needed - a lazy day! Still feeling pretty cruddy, though. :(

We have a ton of leftovers, so dinner's taken care of - and it will help clear out the fridge before my parents come. :thumbsup2 We'll likely watch a movie - the kids got, from various and assorted folks, Up, Monsters vs. Aliens, the first two Harry Potter movies, and Pink Panther 2 (the new one with Steve Martin - we saw it in the theatre.)

My parents are progressing - they just called - but still we won't have any idea when they'll get here tomorrow, except that I am sure it won't be before noon. I need to wrap up the last of my dad's presents, I'm just remembering! :rotfl:

Hi all, sounds as though you all had a very Merry Christmas :goodvibes

We had a great day, D & I woke up about 8am, OK D woke me, and the girls were still fast asleep so I woke them, jetlag actually came in handy :rotfl: We then opened all our pressies before 2 lots of friends came round for drinks etc. Once they'd gone we went for a little walk before cooking our Christmas steak :rotfl:

Today, Boxing Day, Dad arrived about lunchtime and we've eaten sweets, played games, watched a DVD etc. It's rained all day so we never ventured outside :sad2: He goes home tomorrow and then we'll just be chilling till D goes back to work Tuesday & Wednesday then he's off again until the following Tuesday :thumbsup2

Merry Xmas! Hope everyone had a good couple days. Forgive the lack of quotes; I can read pretty well on the phone but quoting's another story.

We had an interesting holiday... Leo's DS was a hit, as was the Lego Indy game for it and the same thing for the Wii. Animal Crossing was a big dud. Of course, we only learned this AFTER it was open. He loved his Playmobil pyramid and accessories. Dinner sucked royally; Honey Baked Ham was way too salty and we were all over-holidayed; should have ordered a pizza, lol!

Saw Princess & Frog today - fantastic!!! Tried to get Lei sine jeans at Target... not a single pair of size 6's in the place.

Tomorrow we may hit TRU to use his gift card; we'll see. Good night all!

Hi everyone! I got myself a case of the Christmas strep throat and it sucks royally! I went to the tgt minute clinic and the test was positive in under 60secs. So it's ice cream and Popsicle city baby!

I'm so glad everyone had a nice Christmas.

I have a wii question for anyone who has toy story 3d. How fo you do more than 2 people and how do we play in 3d?

Ce (I think)- I bought the Lego rb during tgts buy 2 get one free, but I think I'm returning it bc I really don't want to need to spend the $ on the rb peices. Bummer, I thought my tink would really get into it!

Jo are you doing a tr?

We had a great day,

Oh, good! Hope tomorrow's nicer weather.

Good night all!

You, too! Did you see about Urban Meyer? I'm glad you had some hits on the gifts, at least. ;)

***************************************************
So, in a ridiculous move, I ordered two new books from that amazon review program I do - which I pretty much HAVE to read - in a week during which I have received, at last count, 7 books as presents. :rotfl: And my parents come tomorrow, so I may not yet be done - Mom usually buys me a book.

I feel that D's going to come downstairs now and want a movie, so both the computer and the books will have to wait - have a great night, all! :goodvibes

Hi everyone! I got myself a case of the Christmas strep throat and it sucks royally! I went to the tgt minute clinic and the test was positive in under 60secs. So it's ice cream and Popsicle city baby!

Oh, that does stink. I'm hoping I'm just dealing with a cold.

Ce (I think)- I bought the Lego rb during tgts buy 2 get one free, but I think I'm returning it bc I really don't want to need to spend the $ on the rb peices. Bummer, I thought my tink would really get into it!

I was surprised that I couldn't find a bundle - but I guess they are assuming (wrongly, in my NSHO as an advertising major) that you'd buy it after getting RB in general, where they are totally ignoring those of us in the little-kid-Lego market. :headache:

I just had a friend e-mail to say that they are going to be in Orlando and want to go to WDW for ONE day on NEW YEARS EVE! :scared1: Well my first reaction was to laugh. I then wrote him a books worth of info on where he should go, why, and in what order he should do rides. I hope that he has fun despite the crowds.

Oh my! Hope they follow your advice Lessa, or they are going to be in for a miserable time!

Actually, he thought it was cool. He wanted to keep the set, but I convinced him he can get another CITY set instead. :thumbsup2

Oh good!

Oh no way would Evan take apart the Police Station. I only glue the HUGE sets, like the Police Station and City Corner.

Jimmy would still kill me, although once he puts them together he doens't take them apart!

I'm not in the mood. I KNOW! I don't know what's wrong with me.

You are worrying me:hug:

Thanks, it's not getting much better, but..
.

I napped for a while whilst D was replacing the parts he stole off our neighbor's snowblower to use ours, now that ours is really fixed. Woody went and played with the neighbor kid, but Buzz is having a pj day and stayed in with me. :lmao:

Love PJ day:love:

We had a great day, D & I woke up about 8am, OK D woke me, and the girls were still fast asleep so I woke them, jetlag actually came in handy :rotfl: We then opened all our pressies before 2 lots of friends came round for drinks etc. Once they'd gone we went for a little walk before cooking our Christmas steak

Sounds like a great day!

What exactly is Boxing Day:confused3

We had an interesting holiday... Leo's DS was a hit, as was the Lego Indy game for it and the same thing for the Wii. Animal Crossing was a big dud. Of course, we only learned this AFTER it was open. He loved his Playmobil pyramid and accessories. Dinner sucked royally; Honey Baked Ham was way too salty and we were all over-holidayed; should have ordered a pizza, lol!

Glad Leo liked all his presents but sorry that your sinner sucked!

Saw Princess & Frog today - fantastic!!! Tried to get Lei sine jeans at Target... not a single pair of size 6's in the place.

I want to see it, and now I am mad at myself for not going on the class trip to see it:headache:

Hi everyone! I got myself a case of the Christmas strep throat and it sucks royally!

That stinks:hug:!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hey all. Well I ran out again. I forgot to pick up wine for tomorrow, so I stopped at the State store to do that. Then I dropped Jimmy's winter coat off at the dry cleaners to get a new zipper. $22, I could have gotten him a new coat at Kohls' for $25:headache: oh well, it is a warm coat and he likes it and I may get next winter out of it too.

Since Kohls is in the same shopping center I thought I'd just check out what they had.......NOTHING. Or at least nothing that caought my eye. I think it was more that I jsut wasn't in the moos to be there:sad2:

I came home and we played some of Jimmy's new games, had dinner, played some more and then Jimmy went up for bath and bed. Oh, I also did a couple of laods of laundry:laundy:

Tomorrow my brothers invade for the day, so I am cooking - again:rolleyes: Making Baked Ziti. Meatballs and Sausages (Hot and Mild). Normally I do ravioli or something, but I just don't feel like it!

Have a good night all:goodvibes

Hi everyone! I got myself a case of the Christmas strep throat and it sucks royally! I went to the tgt minute clinic and the test was positive in under 60secs. So it's ice cream and Popsicle city baby!
Oh no! Feel better soon!

I have a wii question for anyone who has toy story 3d. How fo you do more than 2 people and how do we play in 3d?
I don't know about how to play more than 2 people, but to play in 3D, you have to unlock the 3D games. Keep playing! ;)

Ce (I think)- I bought the Lego rb during tgts buy 2 get one free, but I think I'm returning it bc I really don't want to need to spend the $ on the rb peices. Bummer, I thought my tink would really get into it!
Yup. Lego RB is the only RB game not sold in a bundle. Maddie bought the RB2bundle and Lego RB together

Sounds good! We have Lego Indy 2 on the DSi's, but not for the Wii. I think we need some new games. :teeth: RB instuments are EXTREMELY difficult to find. Good luck!

I really AM getting worried about you. No shopping, no packing??? :faint:
I know, I'm having serious Mommy-guilt about the trip. Evan gave me his compass last night "so I can find my way home to him" :guilty:
Hi all, sounds as though you all had a very Merry Christmas :goodvibes
Hi Jo! Lucky you, got to sleep in! ;) I saw about Jess' phone on FB. Is it working??

We had an interesting holiday... Leo's DS was a hit, as was the Lego Indy game for it and the same thing for the Wii. Animal Crossing was a big dud. Of course, we only learned this AFTER it was open.
Oh darn! Andy says if you have a GameStop near you, take it back and you'll get some money back or credit toward something else.
Saw Princess & Frog today - fantastic!!!
Oh good! We're heading out tomorrow to catch an early showing. :thumbsup2
I was surprised that I couldn't find a bundle - but I guess they are assuming (wrongly, in my NSHO as an advertising major) that you'd buy it after getting RB in general, where they are totally ignoring those of us in the little-kid-Lego market. :headache:
I think the reason being is LEGO RB doesn't have a huge music library to justify a system, IYKWIM. Also you it doesn't have downloadable songs as the other RB's do. But I still think a LEGO base and guitar would be sweet! :thumbsup2

Jimmy would still kill me, although once he puts them together he doens't take them apart!
:thumbsup2 There's a story on why I do it. I built the friggin' 1 million piece LEGO police station. It was a PITA, but a piece of art! Evan was walking up the stairs with it and dropped it. 1 million pieces flew everywhere. I had to the that friggin' thing together AGAIN. That's when I decided. GLUE. :rotfl2: Besides, I'm a much meaner momma that you are Janet. ;)

**********************************************************
We just got back from Andy's sister's house. Man, it's cold outside! 48 degrees, yickes!

V, you'll love this... Maddie got a Royal Lipizzaner horse for her AG doll! She loves it, it's really pretty.

I'm ready to hit the sack.... Night All! :cloud9:

Can't sleep again.

Not much happening. I'm getting really stuffed up - I knew it was starting yesterday, but woke up feeling really kind of ick.

Maybe I'll get D to take them out somewhere so I can nap. ;) :rotfl2:

Enjoy your day!
I had a relapse of my head cold. My throat is still a bit sore on one side. I hope you are getting better now that the parents will be there.

I just had a friend e-mail to say that they are going to be in Orlando and want to go to WDW for ONE day on NEW YEARS EVE! :scared1: Well my first reaction was to laugh. I then wrote him a books worth of info on where he should go, why, and in what order he should do rides. :lmao: People will never learn.

The pics are awesome, post 2456 for those of you who want to see them. Jim and his bro look alike.

Another lazy day here. Andy had to go to into work for a few hours and then we'll be going to his sister's house to exchange gifts this evening. We had a nice quiet evening last night and a wonderful dinner.

I'm sure I'll be back later! :cool2:
I shopped on-line yesterday. I spent $200 just sittin' on my bum. Speakin' of which, get your bum in gear, lady!

Sounds like you had fun anyway. It's been snowing here. Not a huge amount but I really don't feel like getting out.

Merry Xmas! Hope everyone had a good couple days. Forgive the lack of quotes; I can read pretty well on the phone but quoting's another story.

Doug and I will be headed into town today to spend some money. We need some staples for the fridge. I want to go to Sam's for some snacks and wine to take to Rockie's for New Year's. We also will be meeting my bro and his wife at Hunter's Pub for mid afternoon grub. I don't know why he picked 2pm to meet. I told him I didn't care if they wanted to bring the kids along but I think they are with their dad until 5 or so. Whatever. Then we will chill at home the rest of the evening.

Basement project:
The money I spent yesterday is for accessories for the computer/castle room. It is 95% complete now.
I have been trying to get the ceiling mud done for the 'man cave'. It's very close. Just a little more sanding then primer and paint. Doug said he would like to get the floor done in there before he goes back to work. We'll see. We go to Indianapolis on Tue and Ohio on Wed. Not much time for working on the house.

:hug:to all!!!

I just had a friend e-mail to say that they are going to be in Orlando and want to go to WDW for ONE day on NEW YEARS EVE! :scared1:
I have heard that if you stay until midnight, the ride home could take quite a long time. :rolleyes1

Our trip is in 12 days and I'm no where near packed.
It's supposed to be 77 Thursday, 59 Saturday and 69 on the 5th. Hope that helps. ;)

Hi everyone! I got myself a case of the Christmas strep throat and it sucks royally! I went to the tgt minute clinic and the test was positive in under 60secs. So it's ice cream and Popsicle city baby!
Oh, no!

So, in a ridiculous move, I ordered two new books from that amazon review program I do - which I pretty much HAVE to read - in a week during which I have received, at last count, 7 books as presents. :rotfl: And my parents come tomorrow, so I may not yet be done - Mom usually buys me a book.
I got several books too. :thumbsup2 Let me know if you recommend any of them.

Jim, Jimmy, His Brother Brian and Nephew Andrew

:rotfl2: They are such boys with their pose.

I shopped on-line yesterday. I spent $200 just sittin' on my bum.
My favourite kind of shopping. :thumbsup2

The only thing on the agenda for today is football. Hopefully that will mean a stress free day. ;)

Have fun :rotfl2:

What exactly is Boxing Day:confused3
It's a bit like your Black Friday I suppose, traditionally it was when the rich gave money/presents in a box to their employees or something like that, now it's when the shops start their sales and it's just an extension to Christmas, visiting family etc :thumbsup2

Hi Jo! Lucky you, got to sleep in! ;) I saw about Jess' phone on FB. Is it working??

Have fun and hey are you trying to take over my role as TFW handy woman? ;):rotfl2: Sounds like you're doing great with your decorating!

Enjoy :goodvibes

Well Jess is in her room in a huff all over a piece of chocolate, Dad has just gone home, Ellie is MSNing her friends and David is lying on the sofa watching sport battling a nasty cough so all is back to normal :rotfl2: We were intending on getting some air but it's raining again, it has however washed all the snow away so the roads are safe again :thumbsup2

Ellie ended up sleeping with me all last night, David had her top bunk :rotfl2: She had watched the film The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas which she had asked for. It's set in the war and is very sad and she couldn't stop thinking about it :sad2: We had this when she was at a friends and saw some of the film It. But we just pulled her pullout sofa mattress from her room to the end of our bed and she slept there. This time however Jess was on that as Dad was in Jessica's bed!!!!
