Merry Christmas my Fockers!

Ditto :goodvibes Love it TE thanks for reposting

Well evidently you needed the rest. I just hope you can sleep tonight.
No worries there I just fell asleep watching a film :rotfl2:

"Formal" living room and dining room are completely crossed off. D has returned with a working DVD player for something like $35. :thumbsup2 Kids are joining Kristel with Star Wars. :rotfl: I need to do the family room next, though, so they'll be ticked when I turn the vacuum on.
:thumbsup2

Well we've just watched our traditional Christmas Eve film - Polar Express and I'm now logging off. My Australian friend just posted on FB that Father Christmas has already visited her house so we'd better go to sleep :goodvibes

Hope you all have a fabulous Christmas :grouphug:

=================

Manicotti are cooking, meatballs are heating along with the gravy, Crab legs are also cooking. Jim is in the shpwer and when he is done he will cook the scallops, flounder and lobster tails. Jimmy will be getting a very special phone call at 5:00pm:santa: and he has been tracking Santa all day on NORAD.

BBL:flower3:

The party was a huge success. The kids loved playing Christmas Bingo! They ate lots of junk food and now we are home and it is the home stretch for getting ready for Santa Claus;) Jimmy just asked to go the Transformers site, so I am logging out for a bit. Cya all later:goodvibes

See, all that hard work was worth it! :thumbsup2

On the retiring thing: 2 days ago Doug said he'd like to retire somewhere a little warmer. OK, first I have heard this one. Honestly, here we are fixing this place up to suit us and he is thinking of moving again. I do believe my husband is under the delusion of me picking money off a tree somewhere in the back yard. I indulged him a bit and said, "Where, the Carolinas?" He replied, "Yeah I really like it there." Yep, so does everybody else which is why it is a gold mine for the realtors in that area.:sad2:

Ha ha! My husband would love to retire somewhere warmer, me not so much (unless it was Orlando ;). We went to Savannah a couple of years back and fell in love with it. We talk about retiring there all the time, but the heat and the BIG BUGS kind of scare me off!

My trip to Rockefeller Center

Kat, thanks for sharing those photos - I love NYC at Christmastime, but haven't been in years. You two look so nice dressed up for the party!

Jo's Home!!
;);)
....just figured that out! Guess she's asleep now...or maybe not...not sure which way the time thing would mess with you.

Jo??!! Are you awake Jo???

we'll see....let's call her and ask if she's still awake!

:rotfl::rotfl:

FYI, cookie dough on top of Chinese food is not necessarily a good idea. :scared1: :rotfl:

Oohh, sorry about that!

Is it wrong to start drinking as I clean? :upsidedow

Umm, no, it makes is easier (as you don't realize you went so fast you didn't do a good job - but you don't care) :rotfl::rotfl:

...

I feel the need to repost my Christmas poem from last year cause I like traditions and I think it's pretty cool we are all still chatting and have become close friends. Many times during a stressful day, it helps to be able to connect with you all!

That is awesome!

Manicotti are cooking, meatballs are heating along with the gravy, Crab legs are also cooking. Jim is in the shpwer and when he is done he will cook the scallops, flounder and lobster tails.

That sounds SO good Janet!

Jimmy will be getting a very special phone call at 5:00pm:santa: and he has been tracking Santa all day on NORAD.

BBL:flower3:

Awww - I bet he'll be so excited!

---------------------
I've finally had a minute to sit down - today I made the turkey for tomorrow, the mashed potatoes, and pumpkin & pecan pies. For tonight, I made eggnog, shrimp cocktail, buffalo chicken dip, cocktail meatballs and a cheese platter. We're just waiting for everyone to get here now. I also made the rounds to the neighbors to drop off goodies and cards and visit for a bit - that took a while and I really thought I was behind the eightball, but I think we're good now. Hope I don't drink too much eggnog tonight, because I still have to help Santa put the presents under the tree!

Just wanted to pop in to say I wish you all the very merriest of Christmases!!

Dinner is over:banana:. The IL's are getting ready to leave and then it will be time to put out milk and cookies for Santa and bedtime:thumbsup2

I hope you all have a Magical Christmas:santa::santa:

Merry Christmas, Fockers. (And a Happy Hannukah to the Kerven's)

Angela: I did some of that "self-medication" today too. My family isn't even visiting. You are definitely allowed. This reminds me that I want to call you this weekend, since I've been absent from TFW for a while and I want to know how Mitch is feeling and about his deployment. *I'll text first to make sure it's a good time, though*

TE: That poem got me again.

Janet: You cooked ALOT today. I officially hand over my crown of twisty-ties, apron strings and old plastic wrap. LOL

JO: So glad you're home! Excited to see photos. :thumbsup2

Z: Merry Xmas to my Miami Girls!!! Glad you got your shopping done and YOUR CARD IS GORGEOUS!!!!!

*******

We had a nice day today. NotBob and I finished our wrapping, went out to find the post office closed 12 minutes before we got there, had a nice lunch date and then back home again. We watched G-Force with Gus tonight. Eh, don't bother. It was sort of lame. :confused3

Visited my friend, Peggy, for a bit tonight to see her gorgeous grandbaby. He's adorable. Had a glass of wine with her and visited.
Then I stopped at the corner market (in my pjs, which I was wearing when I went to see Peggy) to buy red wine. LOL Dawn will make fun of me, but I pretty much go everywhere in my pjs. :rotfl:

One kid is in bed, one on the way. We don't have to worry about *secrets* IYKWIM, since we're older, and let me tell you....I thought I'd be sad. I'm NOT!!!! :sad2: I am relieved to not have to do the freakin' crazy run aroundhidesecretpaper/tags...blahblahblah. You'll see when you get here.....::yes::

Already made the baked blueberry french toast and put in fridge for tomorrow to bake. Coffee pot is all set too. Whew. Can I sleep now?

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
LY Fockers!!!

Lights out little Fockers---Santa's coming soon!

Post some Christmas pics when we get them in!!!:goodvibes

Merry Christmas, everyone! :goodvibes

Thanks for understanding my need for self-medicating - I just had one beer whilst I cleaned, not so bad. ;)

Total miscommunication - I thought that people would come 5-5:30, but no one wanted to bug me, so everyone called my neighbor, who swore I said 6:30 (I would have never ever said such a thing; unlike Mel, we need the secrets, need kids in bed, hide paper/tags/whatever so earlier is better.) Oh, well. So at 4:15 we felt that there was NO way we'd be ready - I was still cleaning, D was fighting with the computer over his mom's gift (donation to charity), neither of us had showered, it was scary. :scared1: :lmao: Totally pulled it together and were ready at 5:00, only to find out no one was coming for another hour and a half. :rotfl2: Oh, well.

The chicken and noodles (all y'all have the recipe) was the huge hit of the night, but we had great food all around, and plenty of wine. :thumbsup2 Everyone left around 11:30, and D & I have finished wrapping not only the secret stuff, but also the gifts that arrived today from my BIL. ;) And, hey, it's not quite even 1:00! :thumbsup2

Saddish news, though - the mom, who just moved here, of our holiday friends has wound up in the hospital, so our plans tomorrow are a little up in the air, and of course we just feel so bad for her. :( We may plan on a trip to see her, regardless, and if we do end up at our friends' house, fine, but if not, we'll be OK, too.

Anyway - hope you all have a fantastic day tomorrow (well, today, my time) and that everyone gets what they want from the big guy. :grouphug:

Hello??? Anyone here? I didn't think so.;)

Whew, what a tiring day. I'm seriously thinking of taking a vacation next year during Christmas. Mexican families are soooooooo DRAMA!

My SIL seriously need to communicate about Christmas gifts. They gave Evan the same thing that Santa was going to give him. Darn it! And then they bought Maddie the same AG PJ set for her doll that I bought. Grrrr!

Anyway... I'm just waiting for the kids to knock out so I can bring in the Santa gifts and fill the stockings. Hope everyone had a wonderful evening. CE, sorry to hear about your friends Mom. I hope it's nothing too serious.

Merry Christmas to you all! (I've got another hour! :goodvibes)

This is our first year without the jolly man and I have really, really enjoyed it. You are totally right when you say you'll understand when you get there.

And, it's not so much the pjs or the wine, it's the getting wine in your pjs that cracks me up!!! :lmao:

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

We opened all our gifts last night. Today we're just slowly gettingup and will get ready to go to San Antonio for the day. I'm enjoying my drama-free Christmas. :cloud9:

Time to make some breakfast. Have a great day Fockers!

We are still with The Jolly Ol'Man as kyle still believes ! But you ar right I am looking forward to having help put gifts under the tree other than Judy and me !!We were u at 5am !!!! Thanks Kyle !!!:lmao: Now theynare playing with their toys,Ipods etc !!!

Yikes! What did you do?

CE, sorry to hear about your friends Mom. I hope it's nothing too serious.

Thanks. I talked to her about an hour ago, and her mom's not feeling much better yet this morning. I got a little more info - they did find "something" on an x-ray, but can't tell if it's a pneumonia spot or something worse, and of course the lab's backed up for the holiday. :(

We're still going - Deb says her mom's worst fear is that she'll "ruin Christmas" by being in the hospital, so things are proceeding. Later than normal, however.

Thanks, Janet. You, too! :goodvibes

****************************************************
The boys miraculously stayed in bed until 7:00. ;) They opened stuff up pretty rapidly, but have been happily playing ever since. We're starting to get the phone calls from the family now - of course just as D's mom called my cell, his dad called the house, so we said we'd call MIL back on the computer phone, but then D's brother appears to have called from HIS new MIL's... :rotfl: We're popular! :rotfl2:

We're not leaving now until about 3:00 probably - later if Deb's mom isn't up for a visit from us around 3:30.

I still need to throw together the green bean casserole, but the cranberries and potatoes were done yesterday. And I really want a nap! :lmao:

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with good memories to last a lifetime!

We've finished opening the gifts and I've put together the zhu zhu maze and dh is heading out to snow blow another 6 or so inches (we got 9 yesterday) and it's still coming down! I'm sending the kids outside to play, so I can clean up the mess. I just got our 20 lb ham in the oven... Yes 20 lbs for 5 people! Next time I'm going out to pick out the ham - dh went way over board.

Well this is a Christmas with new traditions. There is no big family get togethers for us, just our 4 and my "birth father" coming for dinner. It's kind of sad, yet relaxing too.

I'm happy to report that my new iPhone 3gs rocks! It is way, way easier to post here and I'm not even on the eticket app. Yea!!!!

T- we've had that same gift issue with my Dh's sister. Darn them!

Yikes! What did you do?
I gave it to him anyway. I have the receipt, so I told him we could take it back and get a different Lego set.

Oh poor thing!

The boys miraculously stayed in bed until 7:00. ;)
Mine woke up at 7:15am! I've always had to wake THEM on Christmas morning!
Hope you all have a fantastic day!
You, too!
Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with good memories to last a lifetime!
Oh, it was filled with memories, that's for sure!

That's my kind of holiday, Jen! :goodvibes

*********************************************************

All the gifts have been plowed through and the sounds of quiet children and a snoring Waldo are in the background. I'm getting ready to start our dinner soon, but I'm lazy. It's been that kind of day. My fingers are full of glue from all the friggin' Lego sets I had to put together. Yes, I glued them ALL! They're a PITA to put together and Evan's too impatient to deal with it. :lmao: Maddie is a happy camper playing with all her AG stuff.

Tomorrow we hit the stores early for those after Christmas sales! :cheer2:

I'm glad everyone's holiday was happy! :goodvibes I think Reid had 4 Christmasses with his grandparents, parents, my parents and us. Next year he won't be so lucky. :rotfl2: When we got home Mitch commented that this was the easiest Christmas to clean up from since we had no tree, etc. See, I did know what I was doing. :thumbsup2 Today we have nothing planned except Mitch is bringing his personal things home from his office. Even though there will be people working, there won't be as many as during the week which he thinks will be better. The family drama continues by my grandmother telling me that I used to be loving, thinner and still haven't reached my full potential. Yes, I'm well aware, as that's not the first, or I'm sure last, time I'll hear that.

Happy Boxng Day to all!!! Just home from my annual 50% off shopping ! I lan to clea my room,as it has become the dumping ground for the girls and it needs a god dusting ay way !!!

Yesterday I did start my Disney packing:banana: Angela I need your help what should I expct in the way of temps ???:confused3 Last time it was capris during the day and a sweatshirt in the evening !!!
