OMGosh! With some clever fuzzy math & finagling, I'm able to add four days onto my March trip for only $40 more!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

I guess Southwest upped their prices for Spring Break Week, so I shifted around my days and saved $600. Then I booked the Doubletree for 4 nights and we all know the difference in 10 park days vs 6 is very little, so... :banana::banana::banana: My trip's now a 12 day trip!!!

I'm so excited! :cheer2:

Nice work! :thumbsup2

Won golf again, but it was 2 against 2 and 1 of the other team had hurt her back so just walked :confused3 So if we had of lost it would have meant we played really bad :rotfl2: Tomorrow is packing/cleaning day and I have loads to do :sad2:

Oh and because of Boo's liking of the Christmas tree we close the lounge door if we go out, well I come home after being out for about 7 hours to hear squeeking and I'd only locked her IN the lounge rather than out of it :sad2::rotfl2: Luckily she hadn't done anything and the tree was still in 1 piece but really :rotfl2:

Congrats on the golf win and awwww...poor Boo! Glad she didn't get to the tree though, maybe that will cure her of her tree obssession.

I also printed my Christmas card labels, as the cards are supposed to show up today. I need to find a good pen, though - I probably need silver or something. I might still have some scrapbooking pens that would work. Hmmm. I always feel that since I use computer labels, I should sign them (I don't judge the preprinted ones, really, it's just an "in my own head" kind of thing. :rotfl:) So, I sign them, but then with the photo cards, often a normal pen doesn't work. :confused3

I never know what to do on the cards either. This year I had our names printed out and didn't even bother to sign them. I just wanted to get them out and over and done with.

Actually he sent it to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths. It's mainly for wigs fr cancer patients. Locks of Love apparently sells some of the hair for profit and he felt better about sending it somewhere that would use it all for someone's benefit.

:thumbsup2

Hope everyone is well! I did my first training presentation at work yesterday and it went very well (whew!) I have to do one more next week, but having gotten through one I'm feeling better about it. People seemed to be interested and I got a lot of positive feedback afterward so that made me feel better (and apparently, I'm a comedian :rotfl2:)

Great news! :thumbsup2

And sorry about the loss. That is a long time to live!

Well, we now have a new kitten. My best friend works at an animal shelter and called me this afternoon saying they had gotten kittens in. She asked if we wanted one of them because she knew they would go like hot cakes. LOL So, my sitter called and got the go ahead from me and brought the kitten by today as an early present for the kids.

She is an adorable gray kitty with a smidge of white under chin and will have the prettiest blue eyes. We have named her Holly (Lindsey wanted Miseletoe) and the kids will not leave her alone.

We had an incident in which we thought we had lost her but she was curled up hiding in a warm spot trying to get away from it all. Can you blame her?:rolleyes1

Here is a link to my blog that has a pic of her and I have a few more on FB.

http://peanutbutterpatelap.blogspot.com/

The ex-h called this afternoon and let me know about Christmas. He apparently has training with the National Guard until the 20th (he's supposed to get them from 12/18-25) and will then try to get the kids for a few days after that. He said he'll have them back to me by the evening of 12/24, if not maybe a little sooner. At least I know of some sort of plan and the kiddos will be with me for my birthday on 12/20. :)

That's about it for us this evening. Hope you guys are having a good one!

Good morning Fockers:goodvibes It's a little cold here today. High of 32, but with the wind chill it is 7. Not too bad;)

Pretty quiet evening last night, which we all needed. I was actually in bed by about 9:30:thumbsup2

Tonight the boys have cub scouts soI am going to wrap Jimmy's gifts while they are gone. Tomorrow Jim is going back to his mom's to put up more Christmas decorations so I will do laundry and wrap the other presents.

Dawn - :banana: on extra days

Lori - Glad you at least have a plan for Christmas now:hug:

Denise - :wave2:

CE - Any more snow?

Jo - Sorry but :lmao:. Only becasue it's something I would have probably done too!

Hi to everyone I missed :wave: Happy Friday!:goodvibes

My trip's now a 12 day trip!!!
Fantastic :thumbsup2

It was funny :rotfl2:

Well I'm almost packed, except after nagging the girls for days to put the clothes they want to take in the spare bedroom I find Ellie has given me 10 bottoms (shorts, capris etc) but only 1 top :confused::rotfl2: Whereas Jess has given me 12 tops for 10 days stay when I said I would be doing laundry :headache: So there stuff isn't packed :rotfl2: I must say the suitcases are bulging :eek:

:wave2: Morning Janet! (Well, it's afternoon by now)

The only bad thing now with this plan is I don't have the kids a Christmas outfit or Christmas PJ's thinking they would be with their dad. I'll be able to pull something together though and might run up to the consignment shop we have in town and see if I can find anything. I found Lindsey's dress that she wore last year there and a really cute new with tag pair of black dress shoes as well. I paid $5 for the whole outfit and it matched what DR was wearing and I picked his up at JC Penney's.

Thanks Jo. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: Sounds like something my kids would do if I let them get things ready themselves. Well, Lindsey would. DR's would be filled with toys.

Good Afternoon Fockers!

Things are crazy around our house with the new kitten. I have to keep reminding DR every 2 seconds to put the cat down and let her walk on her own. She's napping right now...thank goodness!

Things were so much easier when we got our first cat. My ex and I got her when we lived in VA in a one bedroom apartment. There wasn't much she could get into or go. We now have a whole house this kitten could get lost in and I worry about the doggie door we have and her figuring how to get out of that. It's going to be a long few weeks!

Other than that not much is going on. I still have laundry to finish up and put away. Lindsey has a dentist appointment after school. DR went last Friday and had no cavities. I'm hoping the same for Lindsey! Although all of hers are still baby teeth. She's only lost two bottom ones and it doesn't look like anymore are coming out anytime soon.

Hope y'all have a good Friday!

You can do it:thumbsup2

Bored, bored, bored. I am tired and bored and that is a deadly combo! ::yes::

It is driving me crazy sitting here thinking I could be at home wrapping, but I don't want to use any of my vacation time that I have left.:rolleyes1

We have some sad news... :guilty:

Camryn's teacher, Ms. Greene died today.

Camryn is very sad. I knew she had to have more chemo and they ended up getting her a long term sub last month. Then I got an e-mail yesterday that she was in ICU. In her grade, they have a homeroom teacher and another teacher that splits classes with them. Ms. Greene taught LA and Science to Camryn, while her homeroom teacher taught Social Studies and Math to her.

Anyway, Camryn's homeroom teacher was very close to Ms. Greene also and he was out yesterday and today, so I knew things weren't good. She passed this morning. The school called and told us they'd be telling the kids today at 2 if we wanted to come get the kids and tell them ourselves. So, I did.

Camryn was close to Ms. Greene. She prayed for her every night. She told Ms. Greene she was praying for her and we sent reading material and a book or prayers for her when she went for treatments. We just got a lovely note in the mail a week or two ago from Ms. Greene thanking Camryn and asking her to keep praying. It's nice to know that Camryn touched her life in such a short time. Camryn's a special girl, and Ms. Greene was a special teacher.

Thats some serious fuzzy skill!

Well, we now have a new kitten.

She's so cute!!! We really have been talking about how its time for a new kitty.

We have some sad news... :guilty:

So sorry Dawn!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well we are playing hookey from the world today. Last night we went to Target and Pathmark, spent over a hundred bucks and didn't get home until midnight. I am so tired today, and sore from the walking and standing. Tomorrow is our 7 year anniversary so we are gonna relax today and stay away from the freezing cold and just go out tomorrow.
Today would have been my Mom's birthday. I'm ok, just remembering her today. It does get easier.
Anyways it's time for some early dinner I think.
It is driving me crazy sitting here thinking I could be at home wrapping, but I don't want to use any of my vacation time that I have left.:rolleyes1
How much time do you have left? Do you lose them at the end of the year and start over or do they roll over?
OMG that's what I have to say to the girls and they're much older than your guys :rotfl2:
:thumbsup2 I like it too!
************************************************
One kid is sleeping, the other is watching TV and the kitten is sleeping. They have finally left it alone long enough to get some rest. :yay:
Lindsey's dentist appointment went well and she has no cavitites. No loose teeth either. I'm hoping she'll lose some soon! I'm getting worried. :confused3
I gotta go start dinner now so hopefully I can be back later tonight.
ETA: Scratch that...I have 2 sleeping kids and a sleeping kitten. Life is good right now. :thumbsup2
Hey Fokkers!
