I'm so sorry, Dawn.
Today would have been my Mom's birthday. I'm ok, just remembering her today. It does get easier.
Lindsey's dentist appointment went well and she has no cavitites. No loose teeth either. I'm hoping she'll lose some soon! I'm getting worried.
Eh, they'll come out when they come out. I think it's Mo who still has a baby tooth, right?

to everyone else
Hi, Deb! How are you?
CE played something like 17 games of tennis yesterday
5 hours...
NOpe, it just proves that Jo is chattiest!
Evening everyone, even though it seems like I am talking to myself

All of my wrapping is done
I'm sorry, but now I hate you.

Because, you know, I haven't bought anything but one present a piece yet for the kids, and still have a ton to get.
We made it back with no problems. We had a terrific time.
I'm so glad you're back safely AND that you had a great time!

Missed you!

OMG, yesterday got crazed. Woke up a little late, then D noticed he had an e-mail from amazon.com that for whatever reason, his debit card wasn't going through for something we were trying to get for Buzz. He tried again, thinking it might have just been one of those weird glitches, but then it still didn't go.
So, he called our bank whilst I checked our account. The account was fine (and had money) but the guy on the phone mentioned a $100 charge at a
Walmart in Glendale, AZ.

I did see it online, it had gone through, but there was nothing else pending or through that was not ours. The bank guy said the card was closed, but wouldn't tell us how that happened.
D finally got himself a manager, who was fine telling us that THEY had closed the account after the suspicious charge (which is good, but also a little worrisome as D uses the card all over the world...) but why the first guy wouldn't say that in the first place, I don't know. So, I had to jump online and check our credit report, too (fine) and then D had to run to the bank to get a new debit card before he goes to fly tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the kids had a birthday party that was supposed to go from 1-3, but our basketball practice after last week's fiasco was moved to 2:00. So, we had to leave the party early and arrive late for b-ball. Then I had to scramble to the grocery store to get the stuff for the dinner party last night.
Got home, felt the need to clean house a bit (I'm keeping up much better, so it was pretty easy. Yay, me!

) and made the bruschetta (so yum!) and showered, etc.
We didn't get home until about 12:30 and we've been fairly lazy this morning. D is going to take the boys skiing this afternoon. The local, close, cheap mountain has all of 6 trails open, but they have a Sunday afternoon deal for $20, so they'll leave around 1:30. I have been given permission to stay home.

I don't know what I'll do - it's possible I'll watch the Christmas episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (I say this every year, but even if you never watched the show - which lasted just the one season - you could watch this episode without feeling lost, and it's such a fantabulous episode) and if I have time, "Love, Actually." I will not go anywhere near the mall on a weekend. The birthday party yesterday was near the mall, and I was ready to explode from the traffic.
Oh, the party was a "paint your own pottery" party. I had thought about dropping the kids and heading to Trader Joe's, but it was actually a few blocks nearer to the mall, and I was too scared to go back out. A mom friend of mine - the one from baseball whom I so clicked with - was there, and she said, "Paint pottery with me!" I did, but it's not pretty.

My mom has to like it, because I'm her kid - even if I'm 37, right?

Apparently (since I had to leave early) the lady put on the receipt "the Wonderbread mug" if that gives you an idea of what it looks like.
