Team Focker Watch, Part 12. Have we jumped the shark yet?

Hi everyone!! Sorry been away.....again.

The time just flies bye and before I realize 2 weeks have gone by.

Anyway just stopping by to say hi! :wave:

Where were you :confused3 We miss you. Check in more often:hug:

Ooh, that should bring some stories.

I hope not. I just want to go in. Get done what we need to and get out!

I sold D out. His mom called yesterday and mentioned that D's stepdad was in DC, and I said, "Oh, so's D!" The oldest stepsister lives in the area too, so now they're all heading out to dinner. It's not that D dislikes either one - he's very fond of them - but he's also attending some sort of class and just wasn't sure he'd have time for socializing. Oops. :rotfl:

Ooooh, you're in trouble;):lmao:

Doug’s MRI showed no improvement from the one done on Oct. 29th.

Lots of good thoughts headed your way:hug:

What's everyone up to today? Hope it's good, no matter what! :grouphug:

Work, HSA Meeting tonight, work on the science fair prioject in between. Exciting, eh?

Only 4 1/2 weeks left until Christmas break! They will pass quickly I am sure. We get nearly a month off. :woohoo:

:banana:

Things are still going well, I am very curious to see how many people continue on into next semester and then into next year as many in the class are performing poorly (which I don't understand as the material is not all that difficult).

How long of a program is it?

I'm still reading along or checking Kristel's updates I just don't have much time to post very much. Come mid-December you will be stuck with me for a month. ;)

:yay:

Hey, I'm the sweet and innocent one around here :rotfl2:

Yeah, sure you are:lmao:

: My worry is it could be something similar to what my Dad had where his jaw bone grew too much and he had to have it chiseled off :eek:

:scared1::hug: Let us know about you and Jess!

---------------

Good morning all. Work again today, but it is sort of like Thursday for me since I am not working Friday:thumbsup2 Yep, Back less than a month and I am taking a vacation day:lmao: I will be volunteering at Jimmy's school though, so I don't think that is much of a vacation.

Going up to 57 today, then the rains return tomorrow:sad2:

Not much else happening. Hope you all have a good day. Will try to check in again at lunch!

Life is pretty boring though, wake up at 6am and then I am at school usually until 5:30 then home or to work. Wake up, repeat. :rotfl:

It is starting to get really cold here, right now it is -2C so about 26F.

I'm still reading along or checking Kristel's updates I just don't have much time to post very much. Come mid-December you will be stuck with me for a month. ;)

Well, it sounds like things are going very well for you, and I for one can't wait to be stuck with you for a month. :)

Good Morning Fockers !! Don't have to go in till Noon !!!:banana:
Have done a load of laundry and have 2 to fold HMMMMM!!Dishes done so now I can Dis a little with a clear conscience :worship::rotfl2:

Good job, Rosie! :thumbsup2

Hey, I'm the sweet and innocent one around here :rotfl2:

Sure...

Huh? :confused: They don't sound nice what are they?

Little bugs that bit, kind of like fleas but more just outdoors than on animals...

I just love how much Brit you now speak :goodvibes

;)

I have a Dr appointment for Jess and I later, did I tell you that she has moaned on and off for years about her knee, Dawn you know she's in absolute agony right? :rotfl2: Well I had another look the other day and it really looks like she has 1 leg longer than the other, they probably can't do anthing but anyway..... As for me my jaw started cracking a few months ago so I thought whilst I was going with her I'd be seen too.

Hope it's all OK. :hug:

I'm sorry - are you British now?! ;)

Here's the weird thing. "Rubbish" was the first thing I thought. :confused: Then I thought about typing "crap" or "garbage" but decided to leave it for Jo's amusement. :rotfl: But I don't know why it was the first word to pop into my head... :rotfl2:

I've got... nuthin. Still sick-ish, still working on projects, still not ready for our trip. :rotfl: Look away - I'm hideous.

:rotfl: No, you couldn't be. I'm sorry you're still not feeling 100% though.

************************************************
OK, so I just got an e-mail from the PATT treasurer. She gave me my final counts on deposits. Which is fine, but we're $39.71 off. And I don't get it, as I wrote down every deposit I made, and she says that only one of my counts to her was $1 off. I don't know if one of us is adding something twice or not at all, or what, but I'm confused. My little accounting mind doesn't like it. It's not like it's a big discrepancy, but still... I want those darn numbers to match. :rotfl:

Sigh.

Anyway, I've left a message for my co-chair, and then I don't want to submit to Scholastic until I get this figured out, just for my own sake.

I suppose I should shower and go to the cable office, so that if my co-chair calls back and wants to come today, I will be ready.

I hope not. I just want to go in. Get done what we need to and get out!

Good luck with that! ;)

Going up to 57 today, then the rains return tomorrow:sad2:

See, we're supposed to get to the 50's today, too, but it was 27 when the bus came and it's still only 31. Brr! We had frosty grass this morning.

Hey, I'm the sweet and innocent one around here :rotfl2:

?

That's good and I hope there are no more growths : And your brother is getting married already? : You said he was engaged but wow this is so quick!!!!

I just love how much Brit you now speak :goodvibes

I did yet more decorating this morning, some sanding and a first coat of paint, I had to ban Boo from the room though as she wanted to help :rotfl2: I have a Dr appointment for Jess and I later, did I tell you that she has moaned on and off for years about her knee, Dawn you know she's in absolute agony right? :rotfl2: Well I had another look the other day and it really looks like she has 1 leg longer than the other, they probably can't do anthing but anyway..... As for me my jaw started cracking a few months ago so I thought whilst I was going with her I'd be seen too. Literally it cracks so loudly D can't eat next to me at the table :rotfl2: My worry is it could be something similar to what my Dad had where his jaw bone grew too much and he had to have it chiseled off

I read that too fast---I thought Boo had one leg too long and I was about to go look at Boots!
Daran had that problem growing up---it resolved somewhat with growth but still he has to wear an insole in 1 shoe to make them even so he doesn't have a sore back. How tall is she?

Where were you :confused3 We miss you.

I told you volunteering would suck you right in! ;) Right CE??

Coming your way. :hug: I'm sorry - not having answers is sometimes worse than pure bad news - at least they know what to do if they know what it is.

:rotfl:

Hi, Lessa! How long until end of term? How are things going?

****************************************************
I'm debating how to plan out my day. A trip to the cable office is definitely in order - this box is just pure rubbish.

I also need to get hold of my co-chair to see if she wants to come over to submit our financials to Scholastic, or if she just wants me to do it. That can be done anytime in the next week, but I'd kind of like to just be done with it. However, I'm busy tomorrow morning and probably Friday morning as well. Today might be the best day, but I think she might volunteer at school on Wed. and we'll just have to see.

And it's cold - below freezing, brr! - so I want to sit and just be. :rotfl:

What's everyone up to today? Hope it's good, no matter what! :grouphug:

You tell 'em that box is just rubbish! :snooty:

Kristel--wow, sorry he is having such a time and will pray for good news.

+++++++++++++

well, I gotta get ready and go to work soon---some reason I just have not been motivated to do much lately....not sure why.....it seemed to start when I don't have to get up and get the kids ready and go to school....now I want to sleep late...get ready late....etc. Any suggestions to get my rear in gear??

Only 4 1/2 weeks left until Christmas break! They will pass quickly I am sure. We get nearly a month off. :woohoo:
Yay and wow it sounds like loads of your fellow students will give up, more one on one time for you though :thumbsup2

Oh Jo I hope everything goes well at the doctors!!!:hug:
Thanks, I'm sure it will!

I'm sorry - are you British now?! ;)
More than me huh :rotfl2:

Yeah, sure you are:lmao:
But I am :rotfl2:

I will be volunteering at Jimmy's school though, so I don't think that is much of a vacation.
No that doesn't sound much like vacation :rotfl:

Here's the weird thing. "Rubbish" was the first thing I thought. :confused: Then I thought about typing "crap" or "garbage" but decided to leave it for Jo's amusement. :rotfl: But I don't know why it was the first word to pop into my head... :rotfl2:
I really am getting to you, oh and I noticed straight away :rotfl2: Hope the book money gets sorted, it's a pain when things like that happen :hug:

Daran had that problem growing up---it resolved somewhat with growth but still he has to wear an insole in 1 shoe to make them even so he doesn't have a sore back. How tall is she?
Taller than you ;):rotfl2: She is about the same as me so almost 5ft 6 :faint:

It's only 3.45pm here yet I need to put the light on, why does it get dark so early :sad2:

Wow Jo---5 foot 6 is really tall for her age! (or any age IMO!) She's probably had a big growth spurt recently--no wonder she's hurting!
I'd like a growth spurt now please to go.....

(make that a height one....got the weight one covered! :thumbsup2)

Well, still not moving much---you all are supposed to get me going....

I've got... nuthin. Still sick-ish, still working on projects, still not ready for our trip. :rotfl: Look away - I'm hideous.

I'm sure that's not true:goodvibes You are almost back at the happy place:yay:

OMG, this would keep Jim up for days if it was our check book. Hence, why I am not allowed to touch it;):lmao:

See, we're supposed to get to the 50's today, too, but it was 27 when the bus came and it's still only 31. Brr! We had frosty grass this morning.

It was about 47 when we left for schooll this AM, but it is beautiful out now. Of course I am still stuck in that office with windows that don't open:mad:

I told you volunteering would suck you right in! ;) Right CE??

::yes::

Any suggestions to get my rear in gear??

If you come with a way, let me know;)

:rolleyes:

Zing...she got you TE:rotfl2:

It's only 3.45pm here yet I need to put the light on, why does it get dark so early :sad2:

I wish it was that time here, then it would mean that it almost time to get out of here.

I hate the winter becasue it gets dark so early:sad2:

Sorry TE. I have no energy today. I forgot to take my Iron this am and very tired tired.

I'll go try that---I finally got a shower....but my head is killing me....I have no idea what is blooming or dying now but my allergies are killing me!

How's jim doing?? (can I say Jim here--forgot--guess I just did) :flower3:

Dr. said his was allergies, but gavehim an antibiotic in case he is not feeling better in a few days:confused3

Dr. said his was allergies, but gavehim an antibiotic in case he is not feeling better in a few days:confused3
I remember now....my doc has done that before too---if my allergies stay bad for more than 3 days--it goes to my sinuses---something about bacteria sitting around in there....anyway, he may need to fill it if he feels bad.

So...I'm thinking about laundry....or work.....laundry....or work.....better check my farmville first before I make that decision! :rolleyes:

++++++

ok---I wanted a new cell phone---but stupid Sprint made my 12 year old line as primary so SHE gets the upgrade and not me. :mad: I told them I would give her the bill to pay and see how that works out. They didn't care.

So I ordered me a Sprint reclaim off ebay....it was $135 and sprint was gonna charge me $300+........hope it's ok tho...anyone ever done that?

Oh--and this is an Enviromentally friendly phone...somehow. :confused3
got the green one---guess that's it!

Nope, I'm right there with you.

I really am getting to you, oh and I noticed straight away :rotfl2: Hope the book money gets sorted, it's a pain when things like that happen :hug:

I got a message back from the treasurer, and she agrees that if she thought my deposits were right on, it's probably just a "pushed the wrong button on the calculator" kind of thing. She's going to recheck her numbers. :confused3

It's only 3.45pm here yet I need to put the light on, why does it get dark so early :sad2:

I know. Sigh.

Well, still not moving much---you all are supposed to get me going....

Sorry, I'm not motivated, either.

OMG, this would keep Jim up for days if it was our check book. Hence, why I am not allowed to touch it;):lmao:

::yes:: Numbers should add up! It's their nature! :rotfl:

It was about 47 when we left for schooll this AM, but it is beautiful out now. Of course I am still stuck in that office with windows that don't open:mad:

See, it's just now 47 here. It's sunny, which is good, but not that warm.

ok---I wanted a new cell phone---but stupid Sprint made my 12 year old line as primary so SHE gets the upgrade and not me. :mad: I told them I would give her the bill to pay and see how that works out. They didn't care.

Looks cool!

So, I got a different box - like the first one we had. I got it set up, everything is good, the audio works for on-demand now, I'm a happy girl. Then, I had the TV on for background, and nothing but broadcast networks are appearing now. :sad2: But, they are appearing, so I don't know what's going on. You'd think if it did turn out to be the actual line, NOTHING would work. I've unplugged it and we'll see. I hope this is some "which signal to send" issue and not another ongoing problem. GRRRR. :headache::headache::headache:

How long of a program is it?

The one I am in now (Pre-Health) is one year and is the pre-req to get into Nursing. After successful completion of this first year you can move on to the 4-year Registered Nurse program or the 2-year Practical Nurse program.

Well, it sounds like things are going very well for you, and I for one can't wait to be stuck with you for a month. :)

Thanks! I am looking forward to no class for a month. The work is nor hard or even all that time0sonsuming (for me) but it is killer waking up at 6am nearly every day. The only day that I have off with no school and no work is Saturday.

Yay and wow it sounds like loads of your fellow students will give up, more one on one time for you though :thumbsup2

It will be very interesting to see what the class looks like when we resume in January. I know lots have already arranged to switch programs or have dropped out. We do have a wait list of people wanting in so they will get the vacated spots. Then of course you have to apply to continue on into the 4-year program and if you don't have the minimum average B+ (which many don't) then you can't even apply. Even if you have the min average you are not guaranteed a seat. The next year only has 60 seats available so you are ranked based on your GPA and you are also competing with outsiders who are applying. I am not worried though as I have a 97% average which is a 4.0 GPA.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jo - Hope the doctors visit goes well for both you and Jess
CE - That cable box problem would have me so frustrated as would the difference in counts with the book fair. I'm like you and it would drive me nuts until I figured out what the problem was.
Good Morning, girls! :wave:
I've been crazy busy with Girl Scouts and now I'm trying to get Thanksgiving planning going.
I read, but no time to chat - I've got to get laundry going and then head out.
Kristel - Sending good vibes to you and Doug. :hug:
Have mercy! The school just changed the calendar and now my kids have all of next week! Dangnabbit! I so could have planned a WDW Thanksgiving! GRRRR!!
Toodles! :flower3:
Update on the cable below, and yeah. I admit I didn't keep copies of the deposit slips to the treasurer (which I should have) but I have the cash and check amounts I think I deposited. And if the PATT treasurer thinks that my deposits were right on, I don't see how on earth we're getting different numbers! Gah!
Have mercy! The school just changed the calendar and now my kids have all of next week! Dangnabbit! I so could have planned a WDW Thanksgiving! GRRRR!!
How can they do that? What about working parents and so forth? Wow. Sorry. :hug:
********************************************************
Well, I got on the online chat and they "sent a signal" and supposedly I'm "not to worry" anymore. Yeah, well. We'll see. I can be a little hopeful without really believing it. :rolleyes:
CE--I was PTA treasurer for 2 years (with a 100,000 budget)
We required 2 folks to count any money and both sign, then I verified the deposit. We were insured against any problems, but you want to have a lot of paper tracking for IRS and internal audit.
I remember going to bank by myself with $20,000 deposits after our fundraisers--kinda scary. Wish these schools had that kind of disposable money tho...sigh...
Fantastic and what type of nurse do you want to be?
That's rather late notice :sad2:
Well my jaw is OK, it's a slipping ligament and with rest (yeah right :rotfl2: ) and heat it should get better. Apparently it can be triggered by stress, it started about about July time :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: So in theory should disappear very soon :thumbsup2 He also looked at Jessica's knee and measured her legs which are the same :thumbsup2 she must have just been standing oddly, he can't see much wrong but as it's happened lots wants to send her for an x ray which is good so we're going after school tomorrow :thumbsup2
Yeah, I had to have someone count and sign the money with me, too. I have all that. I just don't have the actual copies of the (not bank, but PATT) deposit slips I then filled out. I have the money we pulled and the checks and all that on my "daily count" sheets, so I have the info. And the treasurer said when she counted my deposits I was spot on. I still think she must have hit something wrong on the calculator. She picked up the deposits every night, and maybe she just totaled them wrong, since they weren't all one "big" deposit, especially as I keep getting the same number.
Aggghhhh why is nothing ever easy???
I don't know. :sad2:
That's all. I'd like to wrap up my TR before the next trip, and I've got a bunch of deadlines at work. High-ho, high-ho, it's off to work I go...
Is that so you can do a Thanksgiving TR (hint, hint)? popcorn::
To continue….
Doug’s MRI showed no improvement from the one done on Oct. 29th.
The good thing is that he is not suffering any seizures or pain or numbness. He has had some small headaches. He rates them a 2 on a scale of 1-10. Nothing else.
I'm so sorry - it must be so frustrating. I'm glad he isn't feeling too bad.
As for me my jaw started cracking a few months ago so I thought whilst I was going with her I'd be seen too. Literally it cracks so loudly D can't eat next to me at the table :rotfl2: My worry is it could be something similar to what my Dad had where his jaw bone grew too much and he had to have it chiseled off :eek:
:scared1: Chiseled off? That's sounds awful!
Good morning all. Work again today, but it is sort of like Thursday for me since I am not working Friday:thumbsup2 Yep, Back less than a month and I am taking a vacation day:lmao: I will be volunteering at Jimmy's school though, so I don't think that is much of a vacation.
Still, a day off is good! Sorry about the personnel problem I read about. I had to supervise someone at one point, and I HATED it! Put me in a room with my computer and papers and I'm happy (I don't always even answer my phone- just leave me a message :rotfl2:)
Here's the weird thing. "Rubbish" was the first thing I thought. :confused: Then I thought about typing "crap" or "garbage" but decided to leave it for Jo's amusement. :rotfl: But I don't know why it was the first word to pop into my head... :rotfl2:
Ugh, I feel your pain! I used to be in charge of the petty cash box here at the office - which wasn't so petty because it contained about $3K. And from time to time it wouldn't balance and it would drive me nuts! I was so happy to be relieved of THAT duty!
ok---I wanted a new cell phone---but stupid Sprint made my 12 year old line as primary so SHE gets the upgrade and not me. :mad: I told them I would give her the bill to pay and see how that works out. They didn't care.
That's just ridiculous! I can't believe they won't change that for you. I hope you like the new phone though!
Are you planning to continue with the 4-year or the 2-year? And congrats on that GPA - that's awesome!
Have mercy! The school just changed the calendar and now my kids have all of next week! Dangnabbit! I so could have planned a WDW Thanksgiving! GRRRR!!
How can they just do that? I bet there are some awfully angry parents! I SO would be on the phone trying to get that WDW trip planned (or feeling mighty sorry for myself at the lost opportunity) :rotfl2::rotfl2:
----------------------
Thanks for all the Happy Anniversary wishes! We had a wonderful meal - Baci is now my current favorite restaurant. Everything we had was divine and the atmosphere was very nice. Can't wait to go back!
Happy Wednesday everyone!
Upgrade her phone and get them to switch numbers. Sprint has a buy one Blackberry for $50 (after $100 rebate) get one free. So, that would even work. That's what I'm doing for B for Christmas. :thumbsup2 I already have one, so I'm going to sell the red one on eBay.
