Team Focker Watch, Part 12. Have we jumped the shark yet?

Because Jo's rubbing off on you? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Must be... ;)

Ugh, I feel your pain! I used to be in charge of the petty cash box here at the office - which wasn't so petty because it contained about $3K. And from time to time it wouldn't balance and it would drive me nuts! I was so happy to be relieved of THAT duty!

I think it will turn out all right, but it's just making me curious as to what it could possibly be...

That's just ridiculous! I can't believe they won't change that for you. I hope you like the new phone though!

********************************************************
So, yeah, it happened again, and truly over an hour on the chat wound up with just another "signal" being sent, and an "I don't know why it happened again, I can't see anything wrong from this end." Swell. :headache:

D just called and his "back by dinner" plan changed to "back by midnight." On the one hand, dinner just got easier :rotfl:, on the other...

I told him my cable frustrations and he's worried that it's something to do with having the cable box run through the surround sound receiver rather than straight into the TV - though, why this would suddenly be an issue, I don't know, as it has been this way for years. Unless the receiver and these "new" cable boxes aren't compatible for some reason. :confused: But the "newest" one that I got today is the same model as the one I had before the "new" one that got returned today, so I definitely don't get it.

My head hurts, and I'm cranky. Really cranky. :lmao:

I remember now....my doc has done that before too---if my allergies stay bad for more than 3 days--it goes to my sinuses---something about bacteria sitting around in there....anyway, he may need to fill it if he feels bad.

That's what she said. I told him to get the script filled just in case!

ok---I wanted a new cell phone---but stupid Sprint made my 12 year old line as primary so SHE gets the upgrade and not me. :mad: I told them I would give her the bill to pay and see how that works out. They didn't care.

I can't believe they won't change it:sad2:

::yes:: Numbers should add up! It's their nature! :rotfl:

What's the big deal if I am off by a $100 or so, it's ALWAYS to our good:rotfl2:

The one I am in now (Pre-Health) is one year and is the pre-req to get into Nursing. After successful completion of this first year you can move on to the 4-year Registered Nurse program or the 2-year Practical Nurse program.

Are you going to do the 2 year or the 4 year?

I am not worried though as I have a 97% average which is a 4.0 GPA.[/COLOR][/QUUOTE]

You go girl:woohoo:

Have mercy! The school just changed the calendar and now my kids have all of next week! Dangnabbit! I so could have planned a WDW Thanksgiving! GRRRR!!

Toodles! :flower3:

OMG, I would be so annoyed. I would be scrambling for daycare:scared1:

There are taller girls in her class :eek: And I'm sure I'm shrinking

How old is she Jo?

Well my jaw is OK, it's a slipping ligament and with rest (yeah right :rotfl2: ) and heat it should get better. Apparently it can be triggered by stress, it started about about July time :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I wasout of the loop, you need to email me about your stress...unless it you already emailed me:confused:

Still, a day off is good! Sorry about the personnel problem I read about. I had to supervise someone at one point, and I HATED it! Put me in a room with my computer and papers and I'm happy (I don't always even answer my phone- just leave me a message :rotfl2:)

That's my theory too. That's why voicemail was created:thumbsup2

IS this comcast!:mad:

HAve a glass of wine..you will be less cranky

---------------------

Getting ready to head home for the day. HAve the Home and School meeting tonight, so I probably won't see you all until tomorrow. Have a good night all.:goodvibes

I hope your stress does go down soon :hug: and that Jess is OK! :hug:
Thanks :hug:

:scared1: Chiseled off? That's sounds awful!
It was, they went down the ear canal, cut it and then literally chiselled off the extra bone growth :eek: This was in July and he had his check up today and it worked :thumbsup2

My head hurts, and I'm cranky. Really cranky. :lmao:
This does sound silly, will someone come to your house? Why did you need a new one in the first place? Can you put the old one back? :rotfl2:

How old is she Jo?
She was 13 in July and there were emails flying around last week, you were on them weren't you?

I've been looking into holidays for next summer, we're *gasp* having a WDW break *gasp* yeah I know we're going in 3.5 weeks so I shouldn't moan :rotfl2: Anyway the prices are ridiculous, I've looked from Greece to Cyprus, Tenerife, Italy, Malta, Egypt basically everywhere and it's so expensive. Looks like we'll be at Dad's again :rotfl2:

I'm definitely going for the 4-year RN degree. It is the best option in the long run financially and it offers more career options.

The 2-year RPN program leaves you with a salary that pretty much remains around $35,000 throughout your career.

The 4-year RN program leaves you with starting salaries in the $60,000 range and then the salary goes up the longer you are in the field and if you specialize.

So it means 4 more years of school vs. 2 but it will leave me much better off financially in the long run so it is the better option. Also RN's are in very high demand so I should be able to get a job anywhere I want in Canada or the States.

Also RN's are respected more and do less of the distasteful tasks in patient care (poop) ;) :laughing:

Baylie's about 5'6" too. :headache:

That sounds like the smartest choice. :thumbsup2

Sorry I've been Meh about posting. I'm still not feeling great. I called the dr and asked for the longer antibiotic. Those 5 day ones don't seem to work for me. I'm soothing my throat with chocolate ice cream. :rolleyes1

Sigh. :sad2:
:rotfl:

Yes. I started pricing out dish stuff, but D's pretty anti-dish due to our tree-y area. I don't know. It was fine until the first box started to go wrong. I got the second box, nothing but problems, and now this one, which is the SAME as my old reliable first one (at least it lasted 3 years) is having stupid issues. I don't know. I don't see how it could be a line or something outside when rebooting it fixes the issue - you'd think if it was a line, it would just not work at all, ever?

It's stayed on for nearly a whole hour now, though. Woohoo. :rolleyes:

And I don't have any wine - we're not drinking on weeknights anymore. Smarter for the waistline and the budget - not so much for the stress level. :rotfl:

This does sound silly, will someone come to your house? Why did you need a new one in the first place? Can you put the old one back? :rotfl2:

See above. Someone did come out a couple of weeks ago with the 2nd box, when we couldn't get audio on just one group of on-demand stuff, and couldn't figure out what was wrong, and basically just left. That issue seems solved with this box, but new issues pop up. The 2nd box, aside from the slightly annoying no audio problem, also all weekend kept "blipping" out for a couple of seconds, every 10 minutes or so. Very annoying to miss a sentence or two in every part of a show.

Come to New Hampshire! :goodvibes

Jo I'm glad that your doctor visit went okay!!!:thumbsup2 But question where is the heat coming from you're in Kent not Florida !!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hello Everyone!

Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers. You guys are the bestest!!!

LESSA is doing well in school. She says her life is boring.She says it is getting cold in the great white north.
Well your vacations are exciting.

JO found out she needs to shut-up and relax. Jess has some knee issues.
I hope your jaw gets better soon. Here is some information on chiggers. I have had them. Very, very itchy.
Chiggers

V says ‘Hello!’
:hippie:

JANET is already going to take a vacation day.
I am disgusted! ;)Have fun.

CE is suffering from accounting problems with the book fair profits. She is still having issues with the cable box. Her head hurts.
My head would hurt by now too!

TE needs to get her rear in gear. She got a new phone, post #1671.
:thumbsup2

T just found out that she could have planned a T-day Disney vacation.
Well that's a bummer!

DENISE had a great anniversary meal.

DAWN’s using chocolate ice cream for its medicinal purposes.
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

We’ve been told to watch our internet usage at work. It’s my break time and I’ll surf if I want to.

Doug has still been hunting. No results yet. I’ll get to see him tomorrow for about 30 minutes.

I forgot to mention that we are going to see ‘New Moon’ on Sunday. We are hitting the first show of the day. I’m hoping all the frenzy will be over and people will be in church.

I made a fuzzy math error yesterday. I have 6 work days left 'til WDW. 9 for the whole year! YES!

Hugs to all!

Update on the cable below, and yeah. I admit I didn't keep copies of the deposit slips to the treasurer (which I should have) but I have the cash and check amounts I think I deposited. And if the PATT treasurer thinks that my deposits were right on, I don't see how on earth we're getting different numbers! Gah!
UGH! That is the whole reason why I hate Girl Scout cookie time... counting money. :sad2: It's such a PITA. Good luck, hun!

How can they do that? What about working parents and so forth? Wow. Sorry. :hug:
They're doing it to save money. Usually attendance Mon-Wed is so low and (during THanksgiving week) they lose so much money, they took the 2 extra days and added them to the end of the year. Most working parents send their kids to before school care and after school care at the school anyways, so they'll be covered.
I'm just pissed b/c I so would have scheduled a Thanksgiving trip. :headache::laughing:

There are taller girls in her class :eek: And I'm sure I'm shrinking :rotfl2:

:laughing:
Well my jaw is OK, it's a slipping ligament and with rest (yeah right :rotfl2: ) and heat it should get better. Apparently it can be triggered by stress, it started about about July time :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: So in theory should disappear very soon
Right! :thumbsup2

:

:scared1: Chiseled off? That's sounds awful!
It is! I had to have some jaw bone shaved off when I had my wisdom teeth removed years ago. It was horrid!

I SO would be on the phone trying to get that WDW trip planned (or feeling mighty sorry for myself at the lost opportunity)
Tempting... but Andy's used all his vacation time for the year. But now that I know it's part of the school calendar, I'm thinking of surprising Waldo and TE with a family trip next Thanksgiving. :thumbsup2

Happy Belated Anniversary! :goodvibes

My head hurts, and I'm cranky. Really cranky. :lmao:
Oh man! I would be too, CE. :hug:
I wasout of the loop, you need to email me about your stress...unless it you already emailed me:confused:

Nothing wrong with being tall. :snooty:;)

Enjoy your ice cream!

I can't believe it's only 6pm here. I am so ready to just flop into bed!

Night all!

Woohoo! :)

UGH! That is the whole reason why I hate Girl Scout cookie time... counting money. :sad2: It's such a PITA. Good luck, hun!

Thank you. She had the list of deposits, looks like she maybe just deposited one less check than I counted one day. And - go figure - it was the day she herself counted with me at the end. :rotfl: We'll see.

I can't believe it's only 6pm here. I am so ready to just flop into bed!

Night all!

;) Sleep well!

*****************************************************
Well, I had to unplug and reboot the box twice before the boys got their before-bed show, but it's held on since about 7:00 now. :confused3

I guess that's good. :thumbsup2

I kind of wanted a bath, but now I think I've waited too long. It's also trash night, but I can usually get it out in the morning before they come. It's cold - I don't wanna go outside. :rotfl:

I think I'm going to hang it up early (for me, anyway) tonight, too. I know it sounds awful, but if I am still up when D comes home, I'll be up WAY too late, so it's probably better to be asleep before he gets here. :rotfl:

I'm definitely going for the 4-year RN degree. It is the best option in the long run financially and it offers more career options.
Smart move! :thumbsup2

Also a smart move. :thumbsup2

Yes. I started pricing out dish stuff, but D's pretty anti-dish due to our tree-y area.
We've had DirecTv for 12 years and have been quite happy.

I have been watching all the holiday things on tv and I have no desire to put up a tree or anything. My family will be here on the 23rd and I like to take the tree down on the 26th, so maybe I won't do it this year. Although I definitely won't do one next year so maybe I should. :confused3

I'm reading Ted Kennedy's autobiography and it certainly is a lesson in history. I'd definitely recommend it although it is very long. :thumbsup2

:hug: I understand.

I'm actually antsy, but I can't break my own rule about "the day after Thanksgiving" :rotfl: I think I'm very glad this year that we're not traveling, so things will actually go up that day!

Morning All!!!Thanks for the update Kristel!!! Gotta run work is calling!!!!

Hi, Rosie! Bye, Rosie!

Oops. Meant to put this at the end of the other, oh well. ;)

Busy morning, at least. I have tennis, then a haircut (likely just a trim, as I'm trying to grow it some, if not a lot, again.) Supposedly my co-chair is coming at 1:00 to enter the numbers on Scholastic's site, but I'm going to talk to her and make it contingent on getting a final answer on the deposit question. If the bank thinks her number is right, I'm actually now guessing that a check got lost somewhere, which stinks. But then I don't understand how she thought my deposits were all right on. I'm so confused. :rotfl: Neither here nor there, but until I get a "use the bank's number" or a "oh, here's the check" or a "you wrote one thing on your count sheet and another on your deposit" I'm not giving Scholastic the numbers. ;)

Anyway, I may not be around a lot until later in the afternoon. Hope you all have a good day! :hug:

She was 13 in July and there were emails flying around last week, you were on them weren't you?

Oh right. See I'm old, I forget things;)

I'm definitely going for the 4-year RN degree. It is the best option in the long run financially and it offers more career options.

Sounds good!:thumbsup2

We had this issue with them 2 years ago, but with the internet. Jim called them to complain (Finally fixed after 6 different guys came out) and they gave us a lower rate for a year and Free HBO for 6 months. Can't hurt to call...after it is working right!

Hence why I don't volunteer to chair any of the school committee things. I will be right there helping out, but don't want that responsibility.

I'm thinking of surprising Waldo and TE with a family trip next Thanksgiving. :thumbsup2

Nice:thumbsup2

Have a good day. Hope the $ situation gets straightened out.

================

Just a quick pop in to say hi before work stuff starts. The Home and School Meeting was a disaster last night. There are these 2 women who talked through the whole thing, then at 8:30 wanted to revisit itmes already discussed and voted on:mad: Um, no pay attention next time.

Today is my last day of work for the week:woohoo: Tomorrow I am volunteering at Jimmy's school. Saturday the boys are doing their Scouting for Food pick up/box up. I am going to do the grocery shopping, both for the week and for Thanksgiving. Then I am going to clean to get ready for T-Day. Sunday is the last soccer game of the year...parents play the kids (have 911 on speed dial please;)), then there is a BBQ and the kids get their trophies.

I am only working 2 days next week:woohoo:

Have a good day everyone. Will check in again at lunch

::yes:: Gramma's changed careers about 5 times and RN is the latest. You can pretty much demand anything you want, they're so in need here!

I'm still not feeling great. I called the dr and asked for the longer antibiotic.
:hug: Feel better!

And I don't have any wine - we're not drinking on weeknights anymore.
:eek: Weeknights are when I need it most, lol!

:yay::banana::woohoo: You know who'll be there, too! :teeth:

We have been looking at stuff too Jo and for what it would cost us to go to the beach, we could go to WDW for a week:sad2:
Amen to that. All totaled , my 8-night WDW trip last summer cost me $600ish for two people (that's including annual DVC costs and a % of our AP costs). It's truly the only vacation I can afford anymore.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UGH. Yesterday was pure hell between not feeling well, work BS and a major meltdown by a certain 7yo. Sadly, I'm feeling even worse today; this cough just won't let go. It's really only been a few days, but it feels like months. :sick:
Try to find the positive... try to find the positive... hey, I'm losing weight because I have no appetite and all the congestion is making me nauseous! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:
******************************************************
Well, I didn't hear from the treasurer (though I saw her drive by me on the road when I was coming home :rotfl:) and so I called the co-chair and we're giong to meet tomorrow instead. My hair looks nice - just more or less a trim, but getting more of the layering gone - and on my way to the haircut I remembered that I was supposed to call and make an appointment for the eye doctor routine check up. I'd put it off until after the book fair.
So, I called at 10:40 and she said, "Can you come at 11:40?" :rotfl: I said no. She said, "2:00?" I figured why not? especially since my financials aren't ready, so I'm going in.
Last year I complained that I think my distance vision is getting worse, and was more or less told that I was now at maybe 20/20 or 20/30, where I used to be 20/10 distance, and while we could correct it, it wouldn't be worth my money. I feel like it's still going downhill, though, so we'll see. I use reading glasses, but not as much as I should - I wore them constantly when I worked, and now mostly remember at bedtime when I read, but not now, for example. ;)
Anyway, I'll be curious to see if I now also need "driving glasses." ;)
I need to go shower - she washed my hair at my haircut, but I'm still all tennisy on my body. :rotfl2: See you later!
:rolleyes:
Amen to that. All totaled , my 8-night WDW trip last summer cost me $600ish for two people (that's including annual DVC costs and a % of our AP costs). It's truly the only vacation I can afford anymore.
