Pshew! I wouldn't be surprised! :lmao:

:lmao:

Heck I get more done at home and actually will be in a better place with working today.

Me too. INo 9 million phone calls to intterrupt!

I can't believe that I am actually feeling lucky that I live north of Janet and Mo! We have snow, but not like what you all have been getting.

It stinks:headache:

:lmao: I think I'm in the totally screwed area----they often forget VA extends past Roanoke cause the mountains get high and we like to keep to ourselves---but it's still snowing and school already closed...tomorrow.

Here too!

Sucks to be you! Are you close enough to Rt 81 for me to crash a night on our drive down to Disney next year?

When ya going? Where are you staying?popcorn::

When ya going? Where are you staying?popcorn::
It's a whole 'nuther year away. :guilty: And my brother with his family and probably my parents will be going so we'll have to coordinate that all. If it's moderate, we have no choice and will stay at POR, which I love. I'd love to save up and stay at the YC tho!

And you wait Janet ... we'll be driving by you when we go down to Ocean City at the end of June. We'll be on the Penna Tpk then to 95. When should we beep? :rolleyes1

My kids are off for their third day in a row and my school actually cancelled as well. I am so sick of snow!
:hug:

OK strange question but do you guys send loads of valentines to people?
Since I didn't do Christmas cards, I decided to do Valentine's. :goodvibes

Oh and my rat of a DD changed the password on her ipod touch so I couldn't play on it whilst she was at school :mad::rotfl2:
:rotfl: Why would she need a password anyway?

I was so mad, though - the phone rang at 6:45 to tell me AGAIN that the one building had no school today. I know - that's why MY ALARM WAS TURNED OFF. :headache: :rotfl:
:eek: Yea, I'd be mad too. :hug:

We are going to work on them but I think school is cancelled for the rest of the week! Oh well, he can just take them on Tuesday I guess.
I hope you have lots of games on hand to play. :thumbsup2

The TR board. Do you think we'd stillbe here if she had to moderate us:lmao:
:rotfl2:

Me too Janet, we are getting slammed!
Stay safe. :thumbsup2

Thank God I can work from home on days like this,
Mitch has been working from home since they don't want him to be in the pharmacy, which I understand since he's not in charge anymore. But he's on the big computer instead of his laptop. :rolleyes:

JMeh. It's been a crappy morning. I got into it with my brother, had to take my mother shopping and almost forgot to pick-up Evan from school. I think I'll go eat a cupcake to cheer me up. :laughing:
I know that will work. :goodvibes

They actually closed the office's campus today, never did that in 4 years I have worked there, but we still have clients that expect us to be working, I had 4 client conference calls today.
Haven't your clients looked at a map? :rolleyes:

I even told Rob that when we ever move south, it's going to have to be south Florida to escape the cold! :scared:
:thumbsup2

I've been trying to stay out of Mitch's way whilst he works. He left for a meeting and is back now off to run. I should go with him, but :rolleyes1

I emailed my mother to tell her to ask before sending out any pictures of me and haven't heard back. :rolleyes:

I'm not going back for 3 years so I have to live vicariously through everyone else!

And you wait Janet ... we'll be driving by you when we go down to Ocean City at the end of June. We'll be on the Penna Tpk then to 95. When should we beep? :rolleyes1

When you hit around exit 22;)

Since I didn't do Christmas cards, I decided to do Valentine's. :goodvibes

Mine came yesterday. Thanks:goodvibes

No, I'm just a mys, just a mys, just a mystery! Do you have my cell #? You can get it on FB! :thumbsup2 Secret love interest, even tho I am married ... hmm, it changes all the time. Has anyone seen that Casey guy on American Idol last night? :love:

Sucks to be you! Are you close enough to Rt 81 for me to crash a night on our drive down to Disney next year?

<<cough cough>> Oh, no...the 4 miles seems a lot further!

CE! I didn't realize you're a moderator here now. Which board? :surfweb:

The TR board. Do you think we'd stillbe here if she had to moderate us:lmao:

Yep, and nope. :rotfl: Mostly just welcoming newcomers and encouraging them. ;)

Thank God I have a 12 month contract with the landscaper, mows the lawn, does the Fall/Spring cleanup and PLOWS THE SNOW:worship:

Nice! I can't decide if I should snowblow or not. Seems like only about an inch out there, so hardly worth it - but if I don't, then it gets all cruddy as it freezes and melts, freezes and melts... Sigh.

Ugh. Sorry about your crappy game. I love that Buzz (oh jeeze, or was it Woody?) wants to make his own VD cards! :goodvibes

It's Woody. Yep, when he's not driving me insane, he can be very sweet. :rotfl:

Meh. It's been a crappy morning. I got into it with my brother, had to take my mother shopping and almost forgot to pick-up Evan from school.

:hug: I hope it's been better since.

Pitchers and catchers report in 10 days. At least the Phillies arrive in Clearwater then:thumbsup2

Oh, thank goodness. :thumbsup2

Heck I get more done at home and actually will be in a better place with working today.

That's what D always says. ;)

I can't believe that I am actually feeling lucky that I live north of Janet and Mo! We have snow, but not like what you all have been getting.

I feel the same - today's is the first snowfall of any kind in about a month, and it's still pretty much nothing.

I emailed my mother to tell her to ask before sending out any pictures of me and haven't heard back. :rolleyes:

Huh. Wonder why? :rolleyes1 :hug:

*********************************************************
Well... It never got bad, so the boys and I went to watch the college tennis. However, it was really crowded, they didn't have the curtains open in the restaurant that overlooks the courts, and it was kind of a mess. We ate, the boys were interested for about 15 minutes, and that was about that. I guess I didn't have to cook dinner, and I did manage a glass of wine with a couple of my teammates. :goodvibes

I guess it's supposed to come through in another wave, as we have "100% chance of snow" through 11:00, then it drops down until 30% around 3:00 a.m. So, we'll see about a delay in the morning. I only care because I wouldn't be able to make my tennis class at 9:00 with a 90 or 120 minute delay. :sad2:

Hello from Juno, Alaska...wait...not Juno, right Philadelphia, although right now you'dnever know the difference:rotfl: I

:rotfl2: You guys are really getting slammed. We have snow, but it is nothing like that.

No not a FB comp it was through a shoe company when we were looking for new shoes in the summer :thumbsup2 I hope you can all get back to school very soon![/QUPTE]

Cool! And me too!

Jo said:
Well I won my golf and am now in the final :thumbsup2 we played in bitter wind, snow and bright sun so everything really :rotfl2: Oh and my rat of a DD changed the password on her ipod touch so I couldn't play on it whilst she was at school :mad::rotfl2:

Congrats on the golf game and :rotfl: to Jess.

Jimmy has to fill a bag up with 100 things that was due tomorrow. I am thinking they won't have school, but I want to get it done just in case and then he can take it in whenever they go back.

Just got the call and Lindsey has hers rescheduled for next Friday. At least it gives me some more time to make up a t-shirt for her.

This picture describes my upcoming next few days:mad::rotfl:

ScrewedMap.jpg

I'm in the anyone under this bubble:scared1:

:rotfl2: Stocked up on alcohol for the Super Bowl so we were good here.

Ugh.

My neighbor just took my kids, and was very nice and gracious about it. But I played horridly, and frankly, so did my partner - we both just kept looking at each other like "I'm so sorry!" :sad2: The other team didn't beat us, we definitely just continually missed. Oh, well.

The snow is falling, but mostly it wasn't sticking. The whole drive on the interstate was fine, my main-ish road to my house was a little gloopy, but then our road is covered, and I actually skidded a bit trying to get into my neighbor's driveway. :scared:

Sorry about the game and hope you guys don't get too much snow.

Jimmy has been watching videos all day, but after this latest one (Ninja Turtles) we are going to take a break and work on his 100 Day of SChool project and start working on his valentines, just in case.

That sounds like mine and the kids' day. Looks like they'll be doing it again tomorrow as well.

I emailed my mother to tell her to ask before sending out any pictures of me and haven't heard back. :rolleyes:

:hug:

**************************************************

Lindsey's school cancelled and DR's daycare is closed. I most likely will have class in the morning/afternoon and they will be home with my dad and brother. UGH! At least if they are cancelled on Friday I don't have class then and will be home with the kids.

I guess that means I can put off laundry for another day. :laughing: I was going to put a few things in the wash if they had school and their Valentine's parties tomorrow but since they don't I'll hold off until Friday.

Not much else going on so I'm off to catch up on TV and then head to bed. Night all!

Whatcha' reading these days Kat?

Right now I am reading the Signs of the Zodiac series by Vicki Petersson. I am on book 2 and I am really liking them!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Totally lazy day! I was up at 11, ate and watched some TV and KC still wasn't up yet so I went back to bed for a while and we stayed in bed until 3pm. KC made us a late lunch of omelets and then we watched TV and vegged out the rest of the day. I put ribs in the crock at some point and we had that with rice. I also made a pumpkin pie for snacking. Now he is playing on the Xbox360 and I am surfing the net until I turn on my DS and play some Kingdom Hearts (I'm addicted).
No plans for the next few days except avoid the snow and get the to-do list done.
Goodnight all!
Part One:
We had a wonderful weekend for our anniversary.
First was the night of our actual 5th anniversary, February 4th, 2010.
We met up that evening in NYC (KC had to work part of the day) and both got haircuts before heading out to dinner. KC wouldn't tell me where dinner was. He rarely surprises me, so I was really excited. He wouldn't even tell me which stop on the subway.
We took this on the corner while we were waiting for the gps of the restaurant to work.
2040561970070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
Then we got to our destination. Vincent's NYC. it's in Little Italy. It's a place I had only been to once before and always said I wanted to go back to. KC did good. :)
We were one of only a few customers in the place since it was pretty early and a cold Thursday night.
We had the waiter take our picture at some point.
Wouldn't be me if I didn't take food porn, right?
2921387860070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
I had lobster ravioli in a vodka cream sauce and KC had veal marsala. I was so glad the food was good, it lived up to my memories of it. We had a really nice meal. We even shared a canoli for dessert. We exchanged cards at dinner too and both cried at the sappy cards we bought and the sappy notes we wrote inside them.
KC also had a surprise for dessert for me. We walked to a place we loved, that used to be a mobile dessert truck. They recently got a store and we went to check it out. It was a bit of a walk but it was nice strolling along.
The food was AMAZING there. Wanna see more food porn??
2008237460070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
We shared a few things. Hot Chocolate, a pineapple macaroon, Brioche Donuts with Nutella filling and a Chocolate Bread Pudding with Bacon Sauce (I swear its good!). We relaxed and ate there and got a nice guy sitting near us to take a pic.
2216610820070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
We ended up getting home fairly early but it was a beautiful night.
The next day....
February 5th, 2010
This was the day of our Crumbs Cupcake Party. We wanted a way to invite all our friends, not just the super close ones who were coming to the vow renewal, so this was our answer. I invited a bunch of people and about 10 showed up. A lot of people never even RSVP-ed, I hate that.
We got there before everyone (naturally) and got our cupcakes first because the line was out the door (always is).
2146949260070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
We got: Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Cappuccino, White Hot Chocolate & a Half Baked. They lasted DAYS and were so yummy!
2950739500070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
A few people came and we ended up hanging around at the store for about an hour in total and then decided to take it to a warmer spot. There was a McDonalds a block away with an upstairs seating area. So we all got some coffee and took over the seating area. It turned out great, we were warm and could easily socialize.
People ended up coming who we hadn't seen in ages. One of my former closest friends came and she and I got along so well I think we may have brought back our friendship. One of KC's friends from high school even showed up, and we haven't seen him since high school. It was a really fun night. We were both really touched that the people that came did, it really meant a lot.
Leave it to KC and his work friends (seated to the left) to have to do some work even at the party.
See we took over.
We got a nice pic take of us again.
2557220330070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
We took a few pics before we left. Don't mind my friend Dany. LOL.
2042248700070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
We made it an early night since we had the vow renewal in the morning and also because the stupid snow storm was coming. it didn't end up snowing until like 4 am but at least it snowed because we changed everything around for mr. snow.
Part Two:
The Vow Renewal. February 6th, 2010.
Since there was snow we had to change our original plans for doing our ceremony in Central Park. It took a while but we decided on Grand Central Station. Why? It's actually where KC originally proposed to me many moons ago. So it seemed to fit, and it's indoors.
We started off the morning meeting up with our friend's Andy (who got ordained to marry us), Kevin & Lisa. Once I took off the boots and leggings and sweatshirt I wore to get there, due to the snow, we were set to go. My heels were much nicer with the dress than the big black boots. We stopped by what we refer to as "the spot". The palce where KC proposed. it's inside the subway, near an exit in the center of this kinda sun dial compass thing. The pillar we were standing at had stupid blue ads on it , but it was nice anyway. We took a few pics there before meeting up with everyone else.
2382448140070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
On the way to meet everyone we scoped out a place for the ceremony and decided on this spot.
2572243170070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
It was blocked off above the steps due to a restaurant and so it would be easy to just stand there and keep it blocked from people. MY friends had strict instructions to knock over anyone who tried to walk in our way! So us and 8 of our closest friends went up the steps and had us a vow renewal ceremony.
We wrote our own vows, something we didn't do the first time.
2961290970070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
Funny enough our vows were so similar, we laughed about it afterwards.
2501783880070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
Everyone took pictures and video so we have yet to collect their stuff, but this was with my camera. The video is being stubborn and KC has to figure out how to play it without the actual video camera.
All of us split up into different cars and met up in downtown NYC for Brunch. We chose a small French place since we love French food. The service turned out to be horrible and the food wasn't so great either. We actually all left hungry. BUT we had a good time with each other.
2046903050070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
Since Andy got ordained so he could remarry us, we made a lot of jokes about him starting his own religion, so a chance to take a pic with his bread and wine was too funny not to pass up.
2114730240070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
Please note the orange. KC has had a thing for wanting to have worn an orange tie at our first wedding, and always picks on me about not letting him. So this time the whole thing was based on the darn orange tie. I even bought a shawl to match.
2702754380070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
Turned out it was completely burnt on the bottom and we had to send it back. The second one was decent tho. Again, the portions were too small and we all were hungry when we left.
Somehow we ended up with only couples at the brunch...
Angelo & Chrissi. Chrissi & KC grew up together and have been friends for over 10 years.
Kevin & Lisa. KC's closest friend at work.
2100974090070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
Lou & Diana. They have been to WDW with us. KC & Lou met when they both worked in the Nintendo retail store in NYC, and I became fast friends with Diana after that.
2000242850070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
Eric & Cathy. Eric and I go way back to my wrestling days, he's one of the few wrestling friends I still speak to.
2539633350070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
We all drove back to our house (minus Lou & D, who went home) to hang out and order some food! We ended up watching some old VHS tapes of my wrestling and then ordering some wings and fries from a local pub.
And of course there was gaming. LOL.
2340998900070748021S600x600Q85.jpg
We had a spectacular, wonderful, fun filled, awesome weekend. It couldn't have been better, well maybe if my BFF, Laura(who lives in Fl) was there, but she was in spirit. We really had a great time and are so incredibly happy. I am thrilled beyond beief to say that we really are ok and that happiness is the only thing I see in our future. It was a really long year but this anniversary made it all seem like a distant memory and the only way to go now is up.
The best day ever...
Did they call you yet?
No, and when I took the dog/trash out at around 8:15, it had more or less stopped - we got maybe an inch. I shoveled the walk but am not going to bother with the drive - it's black paved, so if it's sunny (which it's supposed to be) I think it will melt right off.
So, that's good for me. Today won't count as a "snow day" because the whole rest of the town was in school. :thumbsup2
And I'm sorry about your house - that's, um, a lot.
I guess that means I can put off laundry for another day. :laughing: I was going to put a few things in the wash if they had school and their Valentine's parties tomorrow but since they don't I'll hold off until Friday.
Well, there's the bright side! ;)
Kat - the weekend looks and sounds lovely. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
****************************************************
Took the trash up - I had wheeled the actual trash cans up last week Wed. night, but had planned to get the recycling out in the morning. But I was feeding the kids when the truck came by - usually they don't come until about 10:00, but not last week. So, I had two weeks worth of recycling tonight (and we recycle EVERYTHING possible) and I wound up driving it up. :rotfl: It would have taken 3-4 trips, and I didn't want to deal with that in the snow. :rotfl2:
Then I played some Lego Indy 2 and had a bath. The book I'm reading finally got a little exciting - it's an author I usually love, but this one has been rather boring. :sad2: :rotfl:
I should go to bed, now that it certainly seems like we'll be in school on time in the morning. Sleep well! :goodvibes
Last and first... ;)
I am feeling oddly reluctant to go to fun tennis - I'm nearly late. I am having my eyebrows waxed, then I have to go get those darn Valentines for school. Hoping for a relatively quiet afternoon/evening, but I'll have to ride herd on the kids to get the cards done.
Hope you all have a terrific morning! (or, Jo, that you've had one! I forgot to say congrats on the golf yesterday! :) )
I guess it's supposed to come through in another wave, as we have "100% chance of snow" through 11:00, then it drops down until 30% around 3:00 a.m. So, we'll see about a delay in the morning. I only care because I wouldn't be able to make my tennis class at 9:00 with a 90 or 120 minute delay. :sad2:
I think we're fine on the snow part right now - dusting to 2 inches. No biggie. And now that I finally have a garage door opener, I'm loving going out a bit more!
SNOWMAGEDDON 2010
Holy crapazoid batman! This is just all unbelieable.
I am having my eyebrows waxed, then I have to go get those darn Valentines for school. Hoping for a relatively quiet afternoon/evening, but I'll have to ride herd on the kids to get the cards done.
You wax your eyebrows? I don't think I have enough for that. I just have those stupid strays but mostly I have to actually put eyebrow pencil on!
*****************************************************
I feels good to be back here. I probably won't be on that much as I have a job now and then there's that FB addiction. :rolleyes: I was missing the chat though and hope I can keep up.
Kat - your renewal ceremony and all the happenings looked wonderful! :cloud9:
So, off I go to work. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
I guess it's supposed to come through in another wave, as we have "100% chance of snow" through 11:00, then it drops down until 30% around 3:00 a.m.
Ugg.
:rotfl2: Stocked up on alcohol for the Super Bowl so we were good here.
Smart! :thumbsup2
We had a wonderful weekend for our anniversary.
I'm so glad. :goodvibes Crumbs is a sponsor on Howard Stern and they are always talking about how good their cupcakes are. :thumbsup2
Love the orange! :thumbsup2
Mitch and I went to breakfast and then he's off to Tally for a meeting. The pool people are to be here this morning to fix the leak and then this afternoon to start putting the finish on. :thumbsup2
:rotfl: Why would she need a password anyway?
It automatically did it, I suppose to prevent people stealing it :confused3
as we have "100% chance of snow" through 11:00,
100% wow!!!!
SNOWMAGEDDON 2010
So you've just had a little Janet :eek:
The Vow Renewal. February 6th, 2010.
Awww glad you had a lovely day :goodvibes
Kat I don't suppose you know how we can put a regular DVD onto the ipod touch do you? Do we need any special programs or anything?
Hope you all have a terrific morning! (or, Jo, that you've had one! I forgot to say congrats on the golf yesterday! :) )
Thanks :goodvibes
I probably won't be on that much as I have a job now and then there's that FB addiction. :rolleyes:
What's your new job?
It is bitter outside so I'm staying in :rotfl2: about 20 minutes down the road they've had tons of snow and 200 schools are shut :eek: it didn't reach here though!
I've just hooked the Wii up to the internet, anything I need to know or must do? How about the games you can buy are any any good?
