So what did you do?????

We went out to dinner pretty late (8:30) and just came home by about 10:45. The kids had a good night with the sitter and we had a VERY nice dinner. I had sesame crusted tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes. D had scallops with risotto which were to die for. :thumbsup2

We've been into town today as the girls had a treasure hunt round the mall with their youth group. D and I just wandered around and we're now exhausted, why is it you get more tired doing nothing than when you have a purpose? :rotfl2:

Isn't that always the way? ;)

Anyhow, so I stopped by to post day 2 of my Turkey day trip and then I have to get back to cleaning and Xmas cards....

Looks lovely, and :rotfl: about Murph and the wine.

Quick little tr.

Very nice!

I just read this as I heard a loud "thud " Snoopy knocked over our whole tree:scared1:

Oh, no!

The tree is DONE! Feels good. Just waiting for all the kids to come. I'm doing crockpot short ribs with rice and green beans. They smell wonderful, I can't wait to eat! Hopefully, I'll get to work more on my fabric baskets tonight after they leave. Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday!

That must feel good! Enjoy your ribs!

My neighbor called at 9:00 to see if the kids wanted to go with them with their younger DS to watch the older DS's (the one who sat for us last night) basketball game. Woody did, but Buzz did not. When they came back, we headed out to cut our tree.

We found a nice farm with lots of available trees, but they seemed REALLY pricey. :confused3 Still, we got one as we wanted to cut it and the rest of the week isn't good. D's flying tomorrow and we didn't want to wait 'til next weekend.

Anyway, that was nice. We got some donuts for the kids on the way out, and then had a very late lunch at this kind of dive burrito place that was fantastic! We are barely interested in dinner, but the kids got hungry, so we're kind of feeding them random stuff. :rotfl: I am even now envisioning an egg & cheese sandwich or something.

The tree was kind of snow-filled, so I put down an old shower curtain liner under it and we think we're going to wait until tomorrow or the next to decorate. Plus, one of our strands of lights is just done - I replaced fuses and everything, but still half the strand doesn't work.

I am playing a kind of practice match tomorrow morning, then have my team drills. D is flying early. I do think they said it might snow again some tomorrow, then maybe a goodly amount on Wed. That's really all I know!

Hope you've all had a great day. I may stop back in - if not, I'll see you in the morning! :grouphug:

Both dishes sound divine!:cool1:

At least it's DONE! Sometimes that's worth spending a little more. Hope you get it decorated soon!

Really? Oh my! I don't think it's supposed to snow anymore in Philly this week (I hope!) Good luck tomorrow!

Dinner is done, Jimmy's bath is done and he is curretn;y munching some apples and watching Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure. Bed will be after that.

Work and school for everyone tomorrow, then I ma off on Tuesday. I am working the book fair (Hi CE :wave2: ;)). Then Wednesday night is family night for the book fair. In addition to the books, we are also having the secret santa shop where the kids can come in and buy gifts for parents, etc. It's pretty much junk:lmao: but the kids love it. Last year Jimmy got me a teddy bear and Jim got a mug with dad on it. Santa is going to be there and we are offering free gift wrapping:thumbsup2 Should be fun. Jim is going to bring Jimmy over so that he can pick out gifts for the grandparents, etc.;)

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I'll see you all in the AM:goodvibes

Thanks! I'm reluctant to decorate without D. I'm more into it than he is, yes, but he likes to be involved. I may get lights on today, then we can all decorate tomorrow.

Really? Oh my! I don't think it's supposed to snow anymore in Philly this week (I hope!) Good luck tomorrow!

They've backed today off to a 30% chance of flurries, but Wed. still looks a little nasty - which is too bad, as I have an away "real" tennis match (thus the practice today) and I don't need to be worried about getting home for the kids. Luckily, it's really pretty close - we play some matches over an hour away, but this should be maybe 20 minutes. :thumbsup2

Man, I'm just tired. We should have gone to bed earlier, for starters, and then D had to get up at dark:thirty, which woke me up, too. I fell back asleep, but not particularly well. I need to go to Target at some point today - the dog had food scraped literally from the bottom of the barrel, we need that replacement light string, and the kids need their fluoride supplement refilled. I'm debating going before all the tennis, or after. I'd rather go after, but would likely be more rushed, but if I'm going now, I need to go NOW and I'm not feeling it. :rotfl2:

Morning... :goodvibes

I had a sick Camryn over the weekend. She wasn't too bad off, but with Kirt working, we had a stay in our jammies day on Saturday. Sunday Camryn and I had to stay home from church since she was feverish again Saturday afternoon. :guilty: She was fever-free without meds all day Sunday, though. :yay:

I took Baylie to work on her solo yesterday. I'm happy with it so far. Competitions start at the end of January, so we have a little time to get it all together. She's been working on getting her strength back up after being off from dancing so long. She's also trying to get the team kick routine ready- jumping on her ankle wasn't something she was able to do until last week.

I decorated the house on Friday. I still need to work on it more, but it's looking so nice. I went with a lime green, red and white theme. I told Kirt I was trying to make the holiday nice since we wouldn't be seeig my family this year. Last yer both Thanksgiving and Christmas were completely ruined by them, so I'm looking forward to a nice holiday this year. :thumbsup2

I'm headed to Target too, CE. Maybe I'll se you there! :lmao: I need to get a few gifts that are on sale this week.

Janet- Hershey's Park looks fun! :cutie:

Good morning. Popping in before I have to head off for a meeting. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Not much planned here today. Work and school, and then a quiet evening at home:thumbsup2

Happy Monday all:goodvibes

Went for a nice cold, wet and windy walk this morning :rotfl2: honestly it was actually quite nice. We then did a post office run and a trip to the supermarket. I've also done my aero order as they have 20% off today plus free shipping over $100, I didn't get Em's cc details but saw they took paypal so I used that. It's still pending so fingers crossed it'll go through, I thought with paypal though that it's secure and they won't know what my address was so it should go through!

Oh and tin foil does not stop cats climbing Christmas trees :rotfl2: She is up it constantly and we have to now keep the lounge door shut with her the other side :sad2:

Good Morning, Fockers!

I've been reading along, but really haven't had time to quote.

Janet - the pics of Hershey park look great! We'd love to visit someday. ;) Except, I can't believe you went out in the snow!

Jo - Something is wrong with your cat, if it's not afraid of tin foil. :rotfl2:

I know I missed tons, I'm sorry!

Have to head out to the grocery in the stupid rain. :cold:

Have a great day! :flower3:

LOOKIE MY TICKER!!!

It is snowing again! :sad1:

I have a three hour break right now between classes so I am going to attempt to write the term paper I was supposed to write yesterday. Well needless to say I got distracted and only wrote about a page. :rotfl: It is not due until the 15th so I have lots of time but I just want to get it over with.

Janet - Great pics of Hershey! That looks like so much fun!

For some reason when I was reading this I thought you were talking about the kids going to see a hockey game at 9PM and after they got home from that you went and cut the tree. I was thinking how the heck did they find some place opened at midnight to cut a tree down?

Yeah...I think my brain is fried. Between calling Denise, Deb, and now this. :sad2:

I've been playing on www.ancestor.com this morning---in 1 hour, I have traced my ancestors back to 1590....they were named Thomas Edwards and lived in Yorkshire England! I even saw his immigration certificate where he came to the US!! So far, I haven't traced any royal blood....which is probably why they came to America! But I'm still looking! It's really neat---and I've just done one side so far.

Jo---where is Yorkshire??
