Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Hey guys!

Yay, everyone is checking in:yay:

Got my first exam over with today, only one more to go and then I am done until after Christmas. I'm lucky to only have two exams, next semester I'll probably have four, fun times!

ANd I am sure you did great!:thumbsup2

Went shopping in the States over the weekend. Apparently the US border guard thought that I was in the human trafficking business as he slipped a card into my friends passport outlining ways to seek help if you are a victim of human trafficking. :lmao:

Maybe he was trying to pick you up:rolleyes1

I'm not surprised, how are you managing everything? :hug:

It's going okay so far. This week and next will be crazy because its last chance for everyone to shop before CHristmas. I work until 11:30 tonight, 12:00am on Friday night, 12:00 - 8:00pm on Saturday, 6:45 - 11:00am on SUnday, and then until Midnight on the 22nd and 23rd. I am sort of taking whatever they give me now, because I browbea them into not scheduling me the 26th or the 28th. The 26th is when we will do dinner and stuff with my brothers and all and the 28th we have tickets to see Toy Story 3 on Ice.

wooohooo on exam and too funny about the card :rotfl2: you must look a bit dodgy ;) :rotfl2: good to see you BTW :hug:[/QUOTE]

Hi all. There are too many posts for me to try and quote.

Rosie - loved the pics and thanks for the well wishes.

Jo - Hope they open the golf course for you soon

Krystle - Take your trip. It's got to be frustrating. Vent away, we all need to at times. :hug:

Janet - Glad Jimmy did well in school. That is a lot of hours but worth it for the deal on the coat.

I am doing better from the surgery. Jim waited on me for 3 days and truthfully it was getting to be a little annoying. If I took a nap he was waking me up to make sure I was OK and didn't need anything. The knee is still a little sore but I did manage to go out and gas up the car and pick up a few groceries. It got really cold out while I was staying in bed.

I don't know when I last posted the drugs were keeping me very fuzzy headed. Mikey ate a light bulb off of the Christmas tree and has survived the incident. That boy worries me at times.

I have lunch with Santa this week at church and will have to take the kids as my daughter is working double shifts so that I can have the week off. I love this event because my mom and dad are Mr and Mrs Claus. I will have to post a pic because my dad really looks like Santa. Then that night will be the traditional visit to Santa at the mall with my son and his family then we go out to dinner. I started this tradition with my kids when they were babies and it is really nice to see my son continue it. I do get mad at the Santa at the malls though because the policy is now NO outside pics. I don't see what their problem is as my DIL buys a package. One year they actually had security chase me around the mall and try and take my camera when it was allowed. I have a great lens on my camera and will try and get one from a distance for me. We may then go to see the drive through light show at a local farm. It's not the Osbourne lights but it is nice.

I have most of my shopping done and managed to find my mom's present. She wanted a Gravy Ladle. I never thought that would be the hardest gift on my list but I found her a nice one. I am going to try and finish wrapping tonight and get the last couple of things in the next day or so. Then I am going to take advantage of my time and start baking cookies. Thats hard because Jim isn't supposed to eat many sweets but I miss baking.

I have video of the thieves with my credit card from one of the stores. It completely astonished me when I saw it. There was a woman around 40ish, a younger woman in her late teens, 2 children, a man around mid 20's and another woman in her mid-20's or so. The family that steals together I guess. When I saw that I was beyond mad. It's bad enough that they broke into my car and stole from me but to do it with little kids. The one girls was about 6 and the other about 10. The other 2 stores should have the videos on disc for me tomorrow, the holiday shopping has kept them busy, and then it is off to the detectives with all of the evidence I have. I am prosecuting the thieves I just wish I could go after the stores for not even looking at the cards which is the company policy. Oh well I will update as I have newe developments.

Sorry for the long post but I haven't been on much. Hope you all have a nice night and stay warm.

hey friends!

checking in too! Thanks for the card Jo! And loved the pugs too Mo! And sorry everyone, but I haven't got that ambitious this year---but I did get my tree up yesterday!
Made it to work barely today for a few hours...in the middle of the snow storm.

Looks like the girls will be outta school all week. :mad:

Hi Lessa! Missed you! How is school?

I registered for my first class for my masters program--it's a research statistics class that does not sound fun but is required. It will probably take time away from farmville....

Janet--have fun at Toy story on ice--would like to see that!

Hola Amigas!! :wave:

Wow, it's been a long time. Nice to "see" everyone checking in. I do try to stay updated with everyone's FB updates. :goodvibes

It's crazy busy around here for me. This week is NUTSO! I've got so much to get done for the classroom Christmas parties, the Girl Scout caroling event and then Boy Scouts has their Christmas party this week as well.

I found out last week that Maddie was getting an award this week and then today I found out Evan's getting one, too! I'm a proud Momma this week. :lovestruc

Waldo's doing well. We had a few set backs, but he's doing so much better. He's lost about 25 pounds, but he still looks good. He's out and about doing his walks and rehab. I can't believe it's already been almost 2 months. :faint:

*****************************************************************
Janet - Sounds like you're busy, but I'm happy Macy's has offered you an extended stay.

Jo - Safe travels and thank you for the card. I knew it was from you when I saw it was from Mark & Spencers. :lmao:

Lessa - Good luck on your next exam. Not that you'll need it, you're a smart cookie. :thumbsup2

Krystal: I'm so sorry you're going through all this. :hug: It's hard not to harp, but you can only do so much. We're here anytime you need to vent.

CE - Congrats on the sub position! Glad you and D had a fun trip, even with the weather. It's nice to be alone and reconnect.

Rosie - Love your pics, you little vixen! :lmao:

Evening all !!Boy it was like old times 3 pages to read !!

Kristel vent away !!:hug::hug::hug:

Jo so now you will be vacationing oops holidays in Switzerland !!!:woohoo::woohoo:

I may be getting my part time hours cut or gone !! I have voiced an oppinion so we will see how it goes .. but I think it will be temporary!!I cna use the money but a little more free time is nice too !!

I never have been one to resist peer pressure... I guess I'll check-in too... :lmao:

It's good to see everyone milling around. :goodvibes

We've been busy with life and dance, like normal. The girls are doing so well this year. They have both come a long way in their technique and are constantly being praised by the director. I'm so glad, because B's trying out for line officer and C's trying out for officer on her team in May too. :banana:
We went to a dance convention this weekend and got to meet and take classes from Mark from SYTYCD season 4. He was so intense. It was great for the girls to be challenged. C made it to the top 18 girls in the 6-10 age group (out of 100ish) for a scholarship. They only gave 6 and she didn't get one this year, but I'm so incredibly proud! :lovestruc B did really well, too, but didn't make finals.

Miss everyone chatting all the time... :surfweb:

Hi all! Crazy busy at work. Actually just normal stuff, but trying to do twice as much today becasue tomorrow is our in-house office Christmas Party,so not much will get done then:rolleyes1

Not working tonight, but I have to make potato salad and death by chocolate for tomorrow. Luckily Jim boiled the potatoes and the eggs for me last night, so that will make things so much easier tonight. Have to bake 2 chocolate cakes for the death by chocolate, but once that is done, it doesn't take much time.

Off from Macy's until Friday, then I work unti 12:15am :faint:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

T - Congrats to Maddie and Evan, and so glad to hear that Waldo is doing well.

Dawn - Congrats to B and C. :yay::yay:

TE - Saw the pics of the tree on FB:thumbsup2 And don't feel bad, I'm not sending cards this year either.

Taz - Glad you got the videos. Ugh, about the kids:headache:

Rosie - Are your hours being cut becasue of the budget or ecasue you had the guts to speak up?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Have a great night everyone:goodvibes

I am doing better from the surgery.
:thumbsup2 and enjoy lunch with Santa :goodvibes

Oh no :rotfl2: Good luck, what's your masters in? Is it online?

I found out last week that Maddie was getting an award this week and then today I found out Evan's getting one, too! I'm a proud Momma this week. :lovestruc

It's closer than NYC too :thumbsup2 Are you happy about the cuts? Hope you're OK!

Miss everyone chatting all the time... :surfweb:$
Me too :hug: Well done to your girls, sounds like they're doing great!

Yikes, I really don't understand how you get everything done, take care :hug:

Been a pretty lazy day here.... finished writing my cards.... posted my cards.... walked to neighbours and posted more cards.... got invited in for hot chocolate and a chat and persuaded neighbour to look after animals next week :rotfl2: Cancelled my golf for tomorrow and booked a hair appointment instead, ummmm entered comps, tidied up ummmm that was about it yet I can't remember not having anything to do :confused3 :rotfl2:

I miss it too! Strange thing is that this site is more personal than Facebook even though it's really more public.....does that make sense??

Congrats on the dance success!!

++++++++++++++++++++++++

We had our first cheer competition on Sat, but they came in 6th---I think they would have placed fourth if they hadn't did a level 4 stunt move when they are only a level 2 team.....which the coach really should have caught. :mad: (see---I didn't post that on facebook, did I??!) ;)
But I was proud of the girls none the less and told them that we were a darn good level 4 team too! :thumbsup2

And....did I tell you all about Abby's blood clot in her leg? (fast forward if I have)----she got a DVT after giving blood at school whilst I was on my cruise. She had to be given shots 2 times a day for a week and is now on Coumadin for 3 months which has made me a nervous wreck. Plus for the rest of her life she is at high risk during long flights, etc. The doctor said she gave blood and then came home and laid down too long. :confused3

And it's cold and snowy....but we did get out just now to see Harry Potter again!

++++++++++++++++++++++

:thumbsup2 and enjoy lunch with Santa :goodvibes

yes, it's online through the Univ of Alabama . Masters in Nutrition . something I've been meaning to do for a while. Started it when Ab was a baby but quickly stopped it! I'm just taking a course at a time for time.

Made it to work barely today for a few hours...in the middle of the snow storm.

We have yet to have anything but flurries... Looks like a repeat of last year... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I registered for my first class for my masters program--it's a research statistics class that does not sound fun but is required. It will probably take time away from farmville....

Good luck!

I thought of you immediately the other night. The pilot who threw the holiday party on Saturday from D's work had moved up about 1 1/2 years ago from the DC 'burbs, and he announced that his son got accepted to VT on Saturday. ;)

He's really cute (and the house is NICE) - Ab going there? :lmao:

Wow, it's been a long time. Nice to "see" everyone checking in. I do try to stay updated with everyone's FB updates. :goodvibes

That's good! I picked up my cards today - not thrilled with the photo quality, but... :rolleyes:

*************************************************
Got the call at 6:15 this morning to go be a preschool aide - turned up, and I was actually the "lead teacher" but in that room, with three aides in the a.m. and 2 in the p.m., I still didn't do much. :rotfl: It was fun - 3 and 4 year olds are cute when they're not yours. ;)

D's home from Ireland tonight, but has training all day tomorrow. The boys have their chorus holiday concert tomorrow night, and I'm volunteering at the school in the afternoon, so I won't be working. Also, likely the phone won't ring at 6:15... :banana: :rotfl2:

But, Woody informed me tonight that he needed food for a project for Thursday, so with the concert and so forth happening tomorrow, I had to quickly bake (and we know how I love to do that) cornbread after dinner. Sigh. :rotfl2:

Hope you all have a great night!

Hours may be cut as they hired someone to replace a gal who has been out for almost 3 months and said her Doctor wouldn't clear her now she may come back and I am sure my hours will be eliminated to accomadate her comimg back!!That is not to say I wont get hours at another house but prolly not regular schedule which is a bummer !!I should know by the weekend !!

Morning! I've had the best intentions of coming over here and taking time to really respond, but that time just isn't coming to me. :guilty: I'm happy to report that all is well, if crazed at the moment; my semester is wrapping up, we're off to Central FL in a few days, and the lottery drawing for the charter school I want Leo to attend is today - wish us luck! :wizard:

ETA: Never mind; he didn't get in. :(

Other than that, it's business as usual. Oh, and we're frozen down here. Floridiansicles everywhere.

Morning Fockers!:goodvibes Today is our in house Christmas Party so it will be a pretty laid back day.

Speaking of kids telling us things at the last minute (CE), Jimmy informed me at 9pm last night that he needed a brown bag lunch for their little trip today.:headache: The 5th police district every year hosts a holiday party for local schools and this year Jimmy's school and class were selected to attend:thumbsup2 He should have a good time, and it should also be a laid back day for him.

Hope you all have a great day.:goodvibes Check back later

We had an amazing time!!!! It is such a great place! We didn't wanna come home! KC loved it as much as I did. We tried Absinthe, did a few walking tours, saw Anne Rice's House & Marie Lavaeu's grave. It was great.

Back to the reality that stinks now. I am off till tomorrow and trying to get everything done today but im so exhausted from the vacation I can barely move. Needless to say I'm cranky today. LOL.

Not too much else going on really, trying to get my act together for Christmas cards and gift buying- here's hopin' I get it all done!

Hope everyone is great!!!

Morning all:goodvibes It's cold, my hands are a mess from being so cold and dry:headache: Back at work, and after the luncheon yesterday I guess I have to do actual work today:confused3

Jimmy had a great time at his trip/party yesterday. Here is an article from the local paper about it. Holly Jolly Christmas Party. It sounds like it was really nice and Jimmy couldn't stop talking about it. Each child got toy presents and a bag of candy and they provided lunch for everyone. Really cool:goodvibes

Today I got here at 7:30 so I can leave early to meet Jm and Jimmy. We have a therapist appointment at 5:00 and then we are going to run to Best Buy to get his dad's Christmas Gift. Probably do take out on the way home, so we are home at a decent time.

Hope everyone has a great day.:goodvibes Chat later

Strange thing is that this site is more personal than Facebook even though it's really more public.....does that make sense??

It's cold, my hands are a mess from being so cold and dry:headache: Back at work, and after the luncheon yesterday I guess I have to do actual work today:confused3
Stay warm and use lots of hand cream :hug:

Another day of nothing here, well I did the supermarket shop (why do people go so mad buying food :eek:) chatted with a friend, ironed and dusted but I need to get out on the golf course :rotfl2: We've cancelled our match for tomorrow but D has just said they're 1 short for his works Christmas golf comp tomorrow so I'm playing in that instead. We're due more snow so we'll see but at least I'll get out as I've run out of things to do well except cleaning the oven, tidying cupboards etc etc :rotfl2:

Afternoon.

Here's the trip pics if anyone's interested!

New Orleans Pictures

I am seriously behind on my shopping/christmas stuff in general. There has just been no time. I really need to set up a plan for the next weeks to get it together. The trip was great but at a bad time in terms of planning.

Anywho, I need to make today count since I have work/things going on for the next like week!

TTFN!
