Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Good evening everyone.

Just a quick drop in. Had an exciting day Wednesday. Mikey ate part of a christmas bulb. My daughter took him to the hospital and there was no damage but that boy will drive me crazy.

Had the surgery on my knee yesterday and the tear was as bad as expected. Pain pills are my friends right now. I have been sleeping a lot but it really is feeling a little better today. My girls worked it out so that I have another full week off from the kids so I should be in good shape. Jim has been waiting on my every need which has been really nice.

My bank investigated the card theft and I actually received the debit card monies back in my account today. :yay:

Well I am off to take my meds and get some more sleep. Have a great weekend all.

Where is everyone?

Everyone ready for Christmas?

Not even close:sad2:

Hi guys! I'm here - sorta. Finishing up the semester AND prepping for our WDW/IOA trip, AND getting ready for Xmas... I'm exhausted! :faint: But it's all coming together.

Hope everyone's having a nice holiday season!

Hi V :wave2:

+++++++++++++++++++++++

Hey all  It was book fair week for us. I was off from work, but at school everyday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, and then from 6:30 to 8:30 Wednesday Night and 6:00 - 8:00 THursday Night. I'm tired :faint: The fair was a HUGE success though. We raised enough that each got a $75 allotment for books for their classrooms and the library got over $1200:banana::banana::banana:. '

In the middle of all of that I worked the second job on MOnday night and tonight.

Tomorrow we have a Scout Trip to the National Liberty MuseumNational Liberty Museum and then Jim is taking his siter shopping after that. While he is gone, JImmy and I are going to start our wrapping and get some laundry done.

Hope you all are having a great week/weekend. Chat soon:goodvibes

Hey, everyone! Remember me? :lmao:

I only read the last page - have of course been keeping track of a few people on FB, but... If I'm missing something big, clue me in!

Janet, congrats on the book fair success, and second job?

V, sorry about the mentor issues. Grr.

Rosie, nice pix!

Jo, I'm glad you had a nice trip to NYC. :) Is your sister still moving?

Taz, sounds like you've had some problems - sorry about that! Yikes.

***************************************************
So, yeah. It's been a crazy month. The trip to St. Thomas was really nice - it rained a lot, messing up our snorkeling, but it was warm and we had some good days in there, too.

I got back and dove right into our book fair - 60 hours at school that week, but we, too had a very successful fair (the best I've been involved with yet...) and then the next week was Thanksgiving.

Our niece came up for the Thanksgiving weekend from Boston, where she's in grad school. Then I had about 3 days, and my aunt from Utah/SoCal came in for a week. :faint: That's a little long - she's fairly annoying after a few days. Sigh.

During that time, I was finally approved, fingerprinted, and filled out paperwork for the subbing in the school district! :cool1: I said I was available starting on this past Thursday and got a call on Friday - with a choice of 4 positions. Looks like I might be able to work quite a bit before Christmas, particularly since we have school through the 23rd :faint: (the 24th is the first day off. :( )

So...

I've missed you all, but I feel like it's just been nuts. D is out starting today until late Tuesday. I cannot sub on Wed. or Friday this week, because I've committed to volunteering, but hope I can get a couple of days in, plus the volunteering isn't all day, so hopefully I can also get some other stuff done. D has a "family gift idea" that he's not sharing with me, as it would be for me, too, but hasn't decided if he can buy it or not. But, until he makes that decision, I'm kind of stuck with what I should/need to get for the kids. I have a few things bought for them, and most of the "away" gifts are gone. I still need something for Dr. Belle. I have nothing for my parents, but they'll be coming in here after Christmas, so I have time on them.

Sigh.

We had a holiday party with D's work friends last night, and that was fun.

Hopefully I can stay caught up now. Hope you all have a great end to the weekend! :grouphug:

Hi Fockers!

CE and JANET have been busy with jobs and Christmas. Good Luck in both cases.

KAT is in New Orleans until tomorrow. I hope she had a good time.

JO is in New York until Tue. Good thing you aren't coming back through the Midwest.

TAZ did fine with her knee surgery. She is taking it easy for a couple of weeks. You deserve a couple of weeks anyway. Plus her purse was snagged from her car. I'm glad that you got everything under control quickly. I hope they get those thieves.

ROSIE got some photos posted above this post.

V has a mentor at school that's not much of a mentor. I'd be a bit p'd off.

WOW, we got hit hard tonight with snow and wind. Of course I'm at work. In a little bit I'll have to go clear some of it from our warehouses. Fun, fun.

I had a blast with Leah and the gang on the weekend of the 3rd. Too much eating and wine drinking, but it was fun.

Got back on Sunday. I gave Doug a couple of jobs to do while I was gone. He did nothing which disgusted me.

Monday I let him know that I will be going to Ireland with or without him. I know he is depressed but he is not helping his situation by just sitting around. I told him even the little things to get him moving will help. He isn't doing any excersises. So his good side is getting weak too. He will not be able to get on and off the busses if he doesn't do something. I informed him that I won't be saying anything else on the issue. It's up to him.

It's so frustrating dealing with this whole issue. We are going to IU this Thursday for an Avastin infusion. Last Friday the nurse for that doctor told me that the Cancer place in our area was supposed to call me last Wednesday. So I called our facility after talking to her and left my information. No call. I hate our area when it comes to doctors. There are not enough of them to cover everyone. What makes it bad is that I have no idea if they have his insurance info. We can't start anything until it is approved by the insurance. It all just sucks.

Needless to say, I don't feel like celebrating the holidays. I'm so freakin' p'd and depressed. It all makes me sick. Plus having to work doesn't help. I've got OT next week too.

Sorry to be a downer. That's part of why I haven't been on much. That and I don't have a lot of time.

Hugs to all of you.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, and I can only imagine how hard it is. Pleas know that you can vent to us any time, as much as you need - we can take it!

Dad will be home one week from today:yay::yay:

Yep, she's coming back to the UK just after Christmas then she's moving to Switzerland in early January. BTW my Dad is somewhere near you, he's in Loon. Also I so wished your Aunt hadn't visited then you could have seen me :rotfl2:

Sorry to be a downer. That's part of why I haven't been on much. That and I don't have a lot of time.
Don't be daft that's what we're here for :hug::hug::hug:

Gotcha! Yep, your dad is right up the road - we haven't skied yet because we've not had any snow at our house :rotfl2:, but I know they got dumped on up north.

And, me too. Then, it turns out my cousin took her to NYC (from Maryland) the next weekend.

Will you get to visit her there????

Wooohoo and I got some great bargains in the NYC Macys :thumbsup2 Great news on Jimmy's reports!

You can get some great deals with sales and coupons and such. I got Jimmy a Timberland winter coat that was originally $75. It was marked down to $24.99, then I had a 25% off coupon, plus got my employee discount, and used some Macy's Money (Money we get when we get people to sign up for credit cards and other stuff). WHen all was said and done, I paid $10.97:woohoo::woohoo: It was supposed to be a Christmas present, but 3 days after I bought it his zipper on his old coat broke:headache:

The snow has near enough gone here but the golf course is still shut, it's so annoying as I have 2 matches this week and could really do with getting them played :headache:

I'm near enough ready for Christmas, we go away on Monday so all pressies are wrapped (well except the few still to come in the post) and I've even bought a chocolate yule log :thumbsup2

My food hamper that I won arrived the other day and it was pretty good, it included lots of bits including different oils, cheese straws, stollen, damson jam/jelly, tea, coffee, rissotto rice, chocolate etc etc and the basket it came in is so cute :thumbsup2

THank goodness, we haven't gotten snow yet. It is cold as anything though, the high tomorrow is going to be 25:sad2:

I still have to wrap all of Jimmy's stuff and get some gift cards. So not ready this year.

Tea? So, who are you giving that away too:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

BTW - Thank you to all who have sent us Christmas Cards. I fell like such a loser as I have just not had time to write any out this year. PLease know that I am thinking of you all even though I didn't send out any cards:hug:

And, me too. Then, it turns out my cousin took her to NYC (from Maryland) the next weekend.
Oh no :headache:

Will you get to visit her there????
Yep but she won't have a house (just an apartment) till the summer. I should be able to get very cheap flights if not it's about a 9 - 10 hours drive!

Hey guys!

Got my first exam over with today, only one more to go and then I am done until after Christmas. I'm lucky to only have two exams, next semester I'll probably have four, fun times!

Went shopping in the States over the weekend. Apparently the US border guard thought that I was in the human trafficking business as he slipped a card into my friends passport outlining ways to seek help if you are a victim of human trafficking. :lmao:

Me either, when I am not working I just want to hang out with Jim and Jimmy, sleep or clean:sad2:
I'm not surprised, how are you managing everything?
