Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

we are taking Jimmy to Dave and Busters for lunch and some fun.

I love Dave and Busters. My aunt embarassed em there the 1st time I ever went. It was my birthday that week and she had them all sing to me. When my wallet was stolen 2 years ago I had a power card for there with over 3,000 pts. :sad1:

Tomorrow we are going to have his friend Matt all day (and night) so we are going to take them to a place called Smith Playground in Fairmount Park.

I love that place. I took the grandkids a couple of years ago with a group from church. Watch out for that wooden slide. Our priests 82 y/o mother went down with no problems. Me, I got my foot caught and sprained my ankle. :lmao: Seriously it was a great outing for the kids. My mom went there all the time as a little girl and was so thrilled that they restored it.

++++++++++++++=
Morning all. It's been a couple of hectic and relaxing couple of days. I had wed. off from the kids so I cleaned my house. It didin't need a lot and only the kitchen floor is left. I tore the drawers apart in the living room and threw out a lot of useless stuff. I also put my last 2 Disney albums away. They were taking up way too much room.

Yesterday was a day of weirdness. I went to Lancaster with my mom. Not a bad trip she paid for breakfast and bought my birthday present. I'm not allowed to have it until next week though. I am getting a Jim Shore "Grumpy" statue. It will go with the one I got last year. The weird part of the trip was that my mother was unusually nice. She didn't put my DD down every chance she got and she actually stopped the car for me to take pictures. I am doing the scavenger hunt on the photo board. Last week she told me that I annoy everyone with my camera. I don't care she was nice and I got a couple of shots I needed. We hen had to visit my great-aunt who is in an assisted living facility in Lancaster. She is around 93 and gets around really good or her age but she has cataracts that have left her blind in one eye. Evidently we are all going to the hot place next year when the world ends. I thought to myself that may be true. I'm going to Disney in August. :rotfl2:
It was a long day but fun.

I then got home and had to race to pick up Jay and get to my daughter's to pick up Phillies tickets and then get to the stadium for the game. Of course there was a tie-up on I-95 but we only missed a half inning. The game went to 11 innings. The second game this year that I went to that went into extra innings. The Phillies won so Jay was happy. I was happy because we had really good seats and I didn't have to pay again. I am tired today though.

Not much on the agenda today. Watching the grandkids and taking them to the pool this afternoon for a little while. Mikey was sick all week so I need to get them outside. They are going crazy being housebound or I am. :confused3:lmao: I have to pick up a gift for a baby shower on Sunday and get a few things for the shore. I want to get some hair things for Crystal and Jay needs a few things now that he is going too. Normal weekday for me. I didn't know that retiring and being a grandmom meant I would busier than when I worked and just had kids.

Have great day all.

Thanks guys! I'm gonna write all the suggestions down--I know they have a standard room...and will now have 4 in it...but Peggy spends very little time in the room---she opens and closes the parks down! They do like to swim though...and Hannah is 7 so near pool might be nice. They usually stay at All star music but they were sold out.

Well, i'm tired now---drove to Knoxville TN today (2.5 hours) for a work conference---it was good though--I learned a lot about dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) so it will be helpful.

I came home to a house with 7 teenage girls spending the nite----at least Daran went out to get pizza for them! Some day I'll miss this, right??!;)

The 70's has no pool !The sixties has the nicest pool The Hippy Hoppy one and the standard rooms wouldn't be poolside but Lakeside is good !! We were in the 60's Mowgli bldg and the elevator was right close to the poo lso a standard was great !! In the 50's it's the Bowling pin pool which is quieter but the standard room may be quite a walk !!My DD hated that location and had us moved to the Mowgli bldg !!Never stayed in the 80's but the pool is cool !!

ANd its not going to be blistering hot:thumbsup2

Standard won't get them into the 70's then and like Rosie said, Lakeside is good. Much quieter since people are in the pools all night pretty much. Less noise. Like I said ask for a corner room, they are a bit bigger and with 4 people the little bit of room will make a little bit of difference. We have stayed in the 50s and the 80s and liked them both. The walk isn't bad at all (and I am not talking Jo and let's just alk to SSR not bad;)) less than 5 minutes, and that is if you walk slow.

The 50's has the bowling pin pool and the 80's has the computer pool. The 7 year old will love the Hippy Dippy Pool. It has these Giant Flower Shaped showerheads that squirt water at you. If theyget there early in the AM, she may get asked to open the pool. You can go in at any time, but they do a little opening ceremony about 10am. Jimmy was asked, but he didn't want to do it.

Morning all. HAd a great day at Dave and busters yesterday and then we went to WalMart. Wer are looking for a small desk for Jimmy to do his homework at and he also go some of his school supplies (Should not be back to school shopping yet:sad2:). Sadly, as we were walking through the mall we passed the card store and they had CHRISTMAS ornaments out.:scared1: Rushing things much:sad2:

Today we are going to thepayground I mentioned yesterday. I have to call Matt's mom to see what time she is dropping off. We can pick up too, whihc is just as easy. Just have to get in touch with her to organize weverything.

Luckily it isn't going to be 700 degrees today, so it should be nice. We are going to pack a lunch to take with us. Then we may let the boys stop and get a movie at Blockbuster on the way home. Then again, maybe not. We have enough DVD's here that they should be able to pick something they want to watch ::yes::

Hope you all have a great day/weekend:goodvibes

Good afternoon all!! Working a short day today cuz I can !! Will go in soon and leave after supper !!Only got Timesheets and finalizing End of month stuff that couldn't be turned in Friday !!So an easy day for a change !!I am working Monday and taking Tuesday OFF!!!! Yeah!!!!!!

Morning! Today is Daran's birthday! :cool1: 45! We had a joint birthday party for him and his dad last night at their house. We got him canoe oars! (which one person---him--can use and therefore I do not have to paddle!) :thumbsup2

BA leaves tomorrow evening so working on packing with her. We pulled out the Disney box and had some good memories. She has some neat pins on her lanyard to take-but it's full now. Any ideas? It's heavy to wear around her neck.....

We were reading a Passporter book when she was 6....it was the first time she did the Epcot passport.......we made it through all the countries and I asked her:

"What country did you like best??"

She said "TEXAS" (we lived in TX at the time! )

Gonna miss her for 8 days....

Wow you're still on the same page as when I left :faint:

Just quickly checking in...... I'm now at Dad's and the weather isn't great :sad1: The girls have been swimming but I haven't, too cold :rotfl: Jess came 4th in the golf comp on Sunday and she had a great time, it was the first time she had played the course too :thumbsup2

Emma is here and she has huge news, she's been promoted to the board of her company and is leaving NY at Christmas to live in Switzerland indefinitely!!!! We've already said we're staying next Christmas :rotfl: The good thing is Switzerland is much much cheaper to get to than America :thumbsup2

Hey all. Busy weekend, and crazy work day today. Saturday we had Jimmy's friend Matt from about Noon, and then he slept over and left about 1:00 on Sunday. Got laundry and stuff done, but that's about it.

Today we have been interviewing for new employees all day, whihc means none of my regular work is getting done. We are done for today, but I haven't even had lunch yet and I don't feel like doing anything now.

On the plus side I work the rest of this week, Mon - Thurs next week, and then am on vacation for 10 days (including weekends):banana::banana:

We actually chatted with Denise and made some plans of things we want to do together and things we don't want to do together. She is doing some ghost tours and stuff that I wouldn't subject Jimmy too...she on the other hand has no qualms about freaking out he 6 and 7 year olds:eek:

Oh well...not my problem. Hope you all are having a good start ot the week.

Chat with you later:goodvibes

First, why does Rosie's siggie say she's a Pole Dancer Escort? Just wondering?

Janet: Sorry to hear about your uncle. Jimmy IS getting toooo big. I think that Philly's Phanatic is SKEERY. I want to visit the liberty bell someday. I'll call you and we'll have Cheesesteaks. Mmmmm.

Jo: Congrats on the win(s?). I was going to ask when you were gonna get sick of playing so often but then on page 119 you mentioned that. LOL
The weather has been crazy hot/rainy/weird here too. I love your lamp. LOL
Congrats to Jess on her golfing. And YAYYYYY! For Emma!!!!!

Lori: You can do it! (Take the kiddos alone to WDW). You just have to plan to rest when you can. If you get too tired, sick or whatever....well....then you're the only one there. I direct you to my first TR....

Rosie: Glad you aren't shaggy anymore. LOL

Angela: Have a box partially put together for Mitch. Wanted to include some things he really WANTS so was waiting to return from Boston to ask you. Anything he LOVES? Books? Mags? I want to have the boys write something for him too. Your visit to NC sounds like it was lovely. You are correct, it is more important that the young lady is happy. I'm so glad she has you in her life. :O) Tell Reid that I prefer Twix.

MO and TE: AWESOME TR's!!! I'm so jealous. Italy is so pretty and amazing. I'd want to wander off and explore ALL THE TIME and would likely end up lost somewhere. France has been my dream since I was a little girl. I want to see Versailles so badly. I read an amazing book about the Sun King (years ago, sadly don't remember the name of it) but it detailed his building of the palace. I have wanted to see the Hall of Mirrors since.
TE: The 80's building (rubiks cube) was fine for us at FF2008. Small quiet pool outside the room. Walk to buses wasn't bad when we cut through the parking lot. And yes! You will miss the house full of kids. I'm about in tears 20 hrs a day thinking of SD leaving.....
Happy Bday to Daran

Kat: How about Ina Garten's Chicken with 40 cloves? I make it all the time, though it calls for cream (I skip it because we can't have it) and it turns out lovely. Mashed taters on the side and a salad are nice with it.

CE: I hope your Gramma is doing alright. I understand about the tube removal. It's so hard to see our grandparents suffer when it's not really INCREASING their quality of life. The rental house sounds nice. Our two in Gloucester were nice, and we've never had to bring linens but sometimes I want to. :o) Congrats on making the step up in tennis and the comp. in RI. Hope the match goes well!

V: Gatorland=Skeery. Seriously. I was so freaked out by those dang things. YOWZA. However, I can put in a good word for visiting for one reason. They have a pet parrot ( a real one! ) that sits in the entry with the lady taking $. He's very entertaining.
Leo is adorable. He gets cuter every year! Watch out momma!

T: Sorry to hear about Waldo. Please hug him tight for us.
I hate the ocean, sharks and sand too. Scary stuff. They spotted Great Whites off the coast of Gloucester while we were there. Terrifying. I only went in up to my knees.
Happy Belated Bday to Mr Evan. Your cupcakes came out AWESOME!

Couldn't quote. It was 25 pages!!!! Yikes!
So, we're officially home from our 2 week vacation to Gloucester, MA. I loved being back in New England. The food is so good (seafood mainly) and the weather was gorgeous. Got to see friends and family, had SO MUCH fun with the kiddos and the beach was so lovely. Glad to be home though. I will post pics tomorrow. Still trying to get them off the camera....

Things are fine here otherwise. SD has his OFFICIAL license now. He took the car to tennis alone today and I was actually fairly relaxed about it. :thumbsup2 So far so good. He's busy with Senior portraits and tennis. Gus is doing great. Turns out he had Mono last year and he kept having recurrent episodes. He's feeling much better now though. :lovestruc He is doing an Algebra camp this summer because he's going to do Algebra 1 (he tested out of 7th AND 8th grade math!!!) in 7th grade this year.

NotBob is going to be travelling around working. The new "position" is taxing and stressfull. He doesn't love it, but he's hanging with it. I'm proud that he took a two week vacation and didn't check voicemail or email! Good boy!

I'm fine. My eyes are not. :headache: Seeing Dr. Evil next monday to find out what torture he's got lined up for me next. The last two surgeries aren't working and neither are the drops. I'm trying to be optomistic but it's hard.

In good news, I am going to WDW to see Dawn, Yani and Zee and hopefully Angela!!! I'll be there 9/29 to 10/2. I have a studio at SSR booked but would like to rent the points (44) and use the cash to book at Pop. So, anyone interested? PM me.....
If not, I'll stay at SSR. Not really a stress, that.... ;)

Miss you all. How is everyone?
And, SOMEONE-ANYONE, please explain the Rosie thing to me.....

Hey all  Another crazy day. GOt a phone call at 7:30 this morning from my friend Denise that her BIL (49 years old) died this morning. They think heart attack, but 100% sure yet. Her kids are a mess (Jimmy's friends Matt and Rose), he was their buddy.:sad2:

Plus at work I have been working on this huge grant application that is due before I leave on vacation next week. It's almost done, so that is good.

Jim took JImmy to the eye doctor this morning to have his one pair of glasses repaired (Needs new lenses because he dropped them on the cememnt) and to have the back up pair straightened out. Now they are at the playground. They are going to stop at Blockbuster on the way home and get Diary of a Wimpy kid...Jimmy is soooo excited. He loved the books.:thumbsup2

Not much else happening here. Will chat later:goodvibes

wow---you must be a good manager to be able to intervene like that--too much confrontation for me! Is she F-I-R-E-D??

+++++++++++++++

BA left for Disney last night.....yes, I miss her....and yes, I might be a little jealous as she's texting me pics of the castle right now!
She is in the 60s building at Pop---she said it was fine--room's a little small for 4 but they won't hang out there much!

She said the flight was great---they flew Allegiant (19.99 each way :thumbsup2)---my little world traveler was expecting a tiny cramped airplane :snooty:, and she got leather seats with more legroom than our Europe flight!:confused3 The flight was early--only 1 hour 17 minutes. She sat beside Hannah (7) cause Hannah was afraid--but she had downloaded ICarly episodes on her Itouch and that helped her! :goodvibes

She said Magical express was really easy and they were at Pop pretty fast---got keys to the world and they were off to the food court! (I love a play by play of her trip!):thumbsup2

So of course, I got a PIN in the mail yesterday....but it's for the free dining so not sure that's really a big deal.:confused3

No we can't FIRE consumers although some times I would like to!!The staff didn't do anything wrong , they do tend to target/ obsess about certain staff!! The Target ain't good but sometimes the obsess can be good and sometimes NOT!!

Interviews again today...so of course none of my other work is getting done:headache:

Not much planned for the rest of this week either. I really need to start packing for our trip, so I will probably start that this weekend.

Hope you are all having a great day:flower3:
