I bought my tix to MNSSHP Tuesday, so my trip is all set. I don't have ADRs because as long as we eat scallops at Raglan, I'm a happy girl. I do kind of want to go back to the Wave. It was so good...

Love your ticker. Sadly I've got no WDW trip on the horizon. Trying to work something out for next October, but we'll see.

Just learned that an old friend, with whom I'd been out of touch for years but recently got back in touch via FB, died in his sleep last night. At age 31. Leaving behind his wife and two young daughters.

I'm at work, in a situation where I simply can't fall apart and cry the volume of tears desperately trying to escape my eyes. I'm shocked, stunned and yes - thinking over and over, "He was nearly a decade my junior - how can life be so fleeting?"

Well, that's good! Any new ideas on the SW trip? I was going to suggest that you look into the train from AZ to the Grand Canyon. I can't remember the name of the town but it's a completely restored 1800's train. It looks cool! We were going to do it with the boys.

Phsew! I WISH I was taking Mads for her Senior portraits! The girl is KILLING me! I don't know when it happened, but all of a sudden she's a crazy pre-teen drama queen. She got a wild hair up her behind to cut her hair into a pixie and got pissy when I vetoed that. She's just not ready for that, IMO. I did give her a sassy layered look - like a shorter Demi Lovato look. It's really cute. Have to post pics here or FB for you to see. Oh and don't get me started on the clothing drama. She wants to dress like a high schooler and everything is black, black and more black. WTH?

Anyway, we went to DLR last night to get our AP's renewed. We hadn't planned on it, but with the price hike, we thought we'd better.

Other than that, no much going on here. Still waiting for Waldo to see the cardiologist. His symptoms seem to be getting more intense, so I'm not sure he can wait until Sept. Ugh.

I'm getting ready to schedule senior portraits for Abby too--sigh---they are probably $$$!

BA is having a blast in WDW--they spent 14 hours at the MK yesterday---finished off with a new fireworks show and the Mainstreet Electrical parade (which was she too young when it was there before)

Today they ate at Ohana for breakfast and she was swimming in the Hippy Dippy pool at 2 (she said to tell "my DIS friends" that yes, this pool was cool!)

I've been working---and spending time with my Nana too---she has a bit of pneumonia but is on meds and actually feeling better.

One of my clerical people left for greener pastures. It is an entry level clerk position. What's scary though is it makes you realize how badly people want/need a job. I interviewed 4 different people that have college degrees. In everything from political science, to English, to finance. This is a filing job. Sad really

14 hours straight? THe "new" fireworks are actually the one's they showed at the Pirate and Princess parties. They were awesome I LOVE MSEP way more than Spectro!

Happy Friday Fockers. Not much on the agenda for this weekend. Just alot of maybe we will do this and maybe we will do that.

I do have to go to the funeral for my friends BIL but that is only a short service (1 hour) at the funeral home. He is being cremated, so no cemetary or anything.

After that we may or may not go to a place called Linvilla Orchard. Obviously it is an orchard Tomorrow is their peach festival. There are shows (costumed characters) pony rides, face painting for the kids. They have hayrides out into the orchard and you can pick your own peaches, a playground for the kids and a small petting zoo (some goats and sheep). OR we may go to my Aunt's House to see her if she is up for some company. Don't want her to think that we have forgotten about her since my uncle died. OR we may do nothing except laundry, cleaning and getting ready for our trip. Just don't know

Morning all.

Not much going on here. It's friday, I will have 4 kids all day and laundry to do. That is my pay for watching the kids - I get to do my laundry at my daughters and I supply all of my detergent and stuff which is usually gone because she uses it.

No pool today because I am still too sore on my face and scalp from the trip down the shore. I must remember that sunblock goes on the face. I am now red and peeling, a lovely sight.

I am in a feeling sorry for myself mood. It's my birthday and no one in my family has remembered except for Jim last night. At midnight he wanted to talk going out to dinner. I wanted to go to sleep. Of course he got a little upset with me and went downstairs to watch the Phillies game again.

Not much going on here this weekend. It is supposed to be really nice out so my daughter wants to go to the zoo. The hint was mom do you want to go. I have a membership and she gets in free that way.

Today I will go to the grocery store for a few things and take a walk with the boys to the park. They are going to play tennis so that SD can warm up for Varsity try-outs on Wed.

On a positive note, if you've been watching Bethanny Getting Married, last night was the finale and it was so great. Is it wrong that I feel like cheering for her?! I wanted to hug her last night when she realized in therapy that she's gotten through the bad to the good. Go Bethanny!

So, what's everyone up to this weekend?
B's going to a movie at noon, C has a sleepover swim party tonight, B has a sleepover/swim squad party tomorrow, then things get really nuts with dance meetings and B's camp all week. They practice fom 9-noon and 6-9pm every day and wrap up with a pool party. But since she's an officer this year, they are learning their dance Friday night after camp and the pool party. Whew! Thank goodness she loves it and is young! I'd be passed out.

I haven't much to say really, the only news is that KC has tonsillitis and I have a sore throat. We have been home together, sick and icky for the past 6 days. We are both on antibiotics so its getting better but it was BAD. We are hoping to be better enough to go to True Blood night at our new friends' house Sunday.

We have watched countless movies this week, which has been nice but fairly boring.

I am franticly paying our bills for the month, which I completely forgot about due to the sickness. Only one was overdue, thank god.

I have been reading a lot too, currently reading the Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews (great stuff).

Anyways, its time for another movie LOL

No, not that one. Our local one is in the "town" part of where we live. It's just up the road, but it's like Mayberry over there. Old Victorian and California bungalows. It's really pretty. They film up here all the time.

I do like the one you are talking about, though. Great for celebrity watching.

Sorry the weather sucks, T. It's warmer here. Weird.

I am packing the cooler up to go to the County park with the boys. They want to mountain bike and I'm going to walk. It's very nice out, about 80 degrees and sunny.
Went out to the farmers market this morning and got some fresh garlic and pickling cukes for pickles. I haven't made them yet, I will do that tonight. It doesn't look that hard. The farmers market in our little town has doubled in size since last year. That's pretty exciting for me, since the big one is in Pontiac (blech) and I hate going there.

That's all that's going on here in Exciting-ville. LOL

They all went to the Annual Picnic and then on a Garden Walk in Buffalo and then to a Big Dollar store !!One of the more active ones was totally zonked out on the couch when I left !! Yeah, my mom's, lake, tennis tournament... The tournament didn't exactly go well, but it was a blast.

However, I've figured out that I've had NO time to myself aside from a shower and a few minutes of "I'm going to bed now, see you soon," since at least July 2nd. Since you guys know me, you know how nuts that's making me.

D and the boys went to the lake today, apparently, with some friends. Since they're not home yet, I'm thrilled!

I'm having wine and watching Season 2 of Friends on DVD.

Also, look for my mod tag to go away... I just can't give the time for a lot of TR reading, and having not been on the DIS for more than a day in the last month, and trying to get a job... I felt like I wasn't giving it my best effort.

D goes away for an overnight on Tuesday. I'll be around, I hope. Missed you guys!
