Thanks and yay for 2 weeks :goodvibes

Today I will be leaving at 3pm to take Jimmy to his OT appointment. TOmorrow is Jimmy's awards assembly, so I will take a couple hours vacation in the morning so I can go to that. Then Friday I am off for the last day of school. We are having a water ice party for the kids and then after school I am going to take Jimmy to see Toy Story 3.
Sounds fun :goodvibes

Ellie was an absolute star, she was so good with the blood test even though they took about 6 bottles  They did use that U word twice again  Urgent

Oh and I have a very grumpy Jess as I won't spend £90 (about $150) on a new phone for her :rotfl2:

Tomorrow I'm off to the coast to play golf, it's the one we practised on last week so fingers crossed we'll win :thumbsup2

Glad you didn't have to coach:thumbsup2 and that the kids had fun. I'm glad it is the last week of school:thumbsup2

I still can't decide about school, but... ;)

2 WEEKS!!! In just 2 weeks, I will be on vacation!

Woohooty!

Nice quiet week:rolleyes1

Right. Oh, and oops, I forgot that I had a rabies shot appointment for the dog this morning. Have to go now after school. :rotfl:

:cool1:

Poor Leo's still low on energy. That flu-thing really must've knocked him out. But he's having fun with camp, so that's good. I've got lots to wrap up at home and work. Nothing else exciting to report.

I'm sure camp is probably tiring him out too ::yes:: Lots of gatorade and hugs:hug:

Hey all. This morning was the awards assembly at Jimmy's school. He go a participation award and an enthusiastic reader award!:woohoo: GOt here to work around 10:45 and I really don't want to be here. I was so tempted to go right home afterwards, but I was a good girl:littleangel:

I have tons of stuff to do to get ready for the Water Ice Party on Friday and the Block Party on Saturday but I really need to conserve some of the vacation time, just in case.

Not much else happening here. Since I am work, I guess I should go do some work so I will chat with you all later:hug:

*****************************************************
Hello!

Very quiet morning, then I showered and got ready to go help take down the art show at the school. They did the art show last week, with 3-4 pieces from every kid, so it's around 1000 pieces. But, I guess she had two other volunteers this morning, so they had finished just before I came in.

It wasn't wasted, though, as I was able to leave a note for the secretary I wanted to talk to.

I then talked to Dr. Belle for over an hour :rolleyes1 and then spent the afternoon doing up my resume and doing the online application for the school district again. I'd have to turn in a new one for subbing, anyway, and there may be some new part time aide positions coming open for preschool and kindergarten. I'm thinking they'd be only the mornings, and that would be nice. :thumbsup2 We'll see - there's nothing "posted" right now, but the rumors are flying that these are coming, so...

The boys and I went to karate and picked up Subway for dinner, and now we need to go to showers and so forth. They are still having homework (though no spelling test this week) and so we have to do math facts, too. ;)

Nothing really happening. I knew the "no tennis" wouldn't last :rotfl: - I'm playing a friendly game tomorrow morning - but there's just not a lot going down for me right now. :confused3 I'm not unhappy - it will be nice to have a quiet week before the summer starts. :thumbsup2

Sounds like a nice day over all though! How long is Ds trip for?

-----------------------------
Jim ran out to the neighbor kids graduation dinner. We were all invited, but it didn't start until 6:30pm and with it being a school night I just new bed time would be ugly so I opted to stay home with Jimmy. We told them ahead of time that only one of us would be going.

Jimmy is watching Hunchback and I am looking up his summer reading books on Amazon. I found all 4 of them (used, but in good condition) on AMazon for a total of $5.61:thumbsup2 The problem is shipping is ging to be $15:eek: Going to check a few other places and see what I can find.

Have ag ood night all!

Good evening everyone.

I have read all the posts since I was last on but there are way to many to reply to.

Jo - hope you get good news about Ells. Congrats on winning the match.

Janet - good for Jimmy

Sorul - 19 oin a cruise sounds like fun. We are driving to Disney next year with 14 people, 8 will be kids. :scared1:

It's been busy here. First I bought as new computer last week. My other laptop was freezing and running so slow I threatened to use it as a Frisbee. This one is much better with alot more memory and best of all it isn't Windows Vista. I tried to get it to work with my router and screwed everything up so my son had to fix it for me.

My grandson saw the ENT yesterday about his hearing. Good news and bad news there. He passed all of the tests so he can hear but they don't know why he has a speech delay. He also has behavioral issues so now we have to see a Developmental Pediatrician. The dr. feels from his observations he may be ADHD which can cause a speech delay. More questions than answers again but we are getting somewhere. I hope we get answers soon. Today he locked me out of the house and everytime I knocked on the door he knocked back. It's funny now but it was hot outside and the baby is sick. Then the little goof locked himself in the clothes dryer. I'm searching the house and can hear him but couldn't find him. He was shaking when I finally found him. It wasn't more than a couple of minutes but he was terrified. He may drive me coompletely crazy. :rotfl2:

Hope everyone has a good night.

a few days in Oct after our cruise

I will be there 14th thru 19th!!!!!!!

8.40am on Thursday :thumbsup2

I know, I'm terrible :rotfl2:

After last week with my scare:scared1: with Judy !!Ya'll know how excited I was about my October FREE trip, well apparently that was not all my good news !! Why is that GOOD News :rotfl2:I get a nice check each month !! Not sure when it will start but hopefully before years end !! Whew I will be able to stash away Disney money and pay off some credit cards !! Now I know ya'll thinking SLOW down Rosie but I am not ready to as yet !! I really think being soooo busy keeps me Healthy and Happy!!:cloud9: I just like to whine and get POOR Rosie's !!!:rotfl2:

Had another long day !! Started at 7:30 with a call from Carol to say I was supposed to transport someone to court for a guardianship hearing :scared1:News to me !! But my wonderful staff took him and I went merrily off to the foot doctor with 2 of them !! One of them (my sweetie ) Says as we approach the FOOT Doctors door !!" I haven't been here in a while thay have GOOD FOOD!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: And you wonder why I love my job!!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao: Then this evening another started her monthly Linda Blair act!!:rotfl2: Never a dull moment !!

Good EARLY morning my Focker buds!!!!

UPDATE:

TAZ is done with T-ball. Her grandson is back to baseball and doing great!! She got locked out of her own house by her wonderful grandchild too!
Yay on both counts! Hugs to you for the extra kid care issues.

ANGELA took her gran out the other day. She must get here sass and style from her. Angela took her to Target too. That store is hard on her wallet. Kid pics at post #1431.
You’re a good Grand-daughter! Congrats on the new nephew!

ROSIE said that Judy’s lap band needed fixed and she is fine now. Rosie is going in to WDW October!!!
I ‘m so glad that Judy is OK. I think you leave just before I get there on the 19th. IP-DIP is the 23rd.

CE says it’s chilly up there. They went to a chilly pool party. This is the last week for her kids in school. She has put in her resumes for subbing. She heard there may be some new positions for aides.
The weather here has been terrible, see below. What do the kids have going this summer?? Good luck on the pre-school/kindergarten deal. That would be great for you.

JANET said Jimmy’s last day of 1st grade will be Friday. Jim’s B-day was last Sunday. Jimmy got a couple of awards for school. She is planning for some parties this weekend.
Congrats to Jim and Jimmy. Have a great weekend.

JO got to play some golf on an uppity course. She did well. She is still winning lots of goodies. Her golf team is in the quarter finals. They should know something soon about Ellie.
Congratulations to you and your team. I bet you are thrilled!!! I hope that it is nothing serious with Ells. I will be thinking of her.

V says people at work haven’t been fun. She was thinking of pursuing another position in her career but didn’t think it was a good fit. She is OK with where she is currently. She gets vacation in 2 weeks. Leo is having fun at camp. He is still a little run-down due to that flu he had.
I’m glad you are content with your job. I do hope that things keep going well in that department for you. Yay for vacation! It’s good to know that Leo is doing well at camp. I’m sure he hardly has time to slow down while he is there.

MEL had the In-laws on Monday.
UH-OH!!! I hope everything is going OK.

MO has more trip pics at #1453.
I’m so glad you met a great group to hang out with. It sounds like you had a lot of fun together!

SLATE will be cruising in 16 weeks.
YAY!!!!

Hugs to all of you and any who have not been around.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The weather in the Midwest has been horrid. It figures that the week I decide to build my deck, Indiana looks more like Louisiana. We’ve had lots of wind, tornados, flash floods and heat. Can we say swamp??? It feels like Florida in August.

We did manage to get all the holes dug on Sunday. The nephew filled half of them with concrete before he left for the day.

Monday we turned in Doug’s SS disability paperwork on the computer. That took 3 hrs. Then we headed to town to drop off the auger and get the rest of the lumber that we needed for the deck. We got some Papa Murphy pizzas and baked them in the oven. I was going to go out and finish the concrete but it started to rain again - buckets! A tornado touched down just 5 miles away from us. I was surprised we didn’t lose power. I had my hurricane lamp at the ready.

So Tuesday morning I got up super early and finished the concrete. My back yard in this area is a mud pit but I managed. We had to go back to town to get Doug’s blood work done and mail some forms for all this disability stuff. (Signed receipts!)…..Plus groceries……..therapy……….and I needed some gravel to spread out on the ground where the deck will be. There is plastic under it to keep weeds out. It’s not bad except that it all takes time and mean while it keeps raining in between tasks. I am hurting all over because my body is not use to all this abuse. (I’m going to need a vacation from my vacation.) Maybe some wine will help???!!!!

Any way, tomorrow I intend to start on the good stuff - lumber. One of Doug’s friends is coming over with his ex-wife now girlfriend (remember the “crazies”) to help me out around noon. I’m not waiting on them. They are very unreliable. Doug can help me measure and hold things - I think. I really want to get it done by Friday. It is not supposed to rain. It’s the only day it is not supposed to rain. Let’s hope they are right.

I will take pics when it is complete. However, if it does rain on Thursday and Friday I may not be able to get the steps and rails up. So I may actually have to do those items on my days off. JOY!

In other news, we bought Doug a nice cane to help him with his walking. It’s the kind with 4 prongs at the bottom. His ankle is healed but he still can’t move it around well. His knee and upper leg motion is still not good either. He has been getting on the exercise bike. He wants to walk when we get a good day. I think the cane will help.

I’m sorry about the long entry here. Usually I don’t have much going on.

I’ll be back to check in later.

Have a good hump day!!!

Afternoon everyone:goodvibes Crazy busy at work and this is the first chance I had to check in. I am taking tomorrow and Friday off to get stuff done for Friday and Saturday so I am trying to get as much cleaned off my desk as possible.

Here is my list of things to do:
-make party bags for Jimmy's Class (Thursday)
-grocery shopping for Block Party (Thursday)
-Dr. Appointment (Thursday)
-laundry (Thursday and Friday)
-clean bathrooms (Friday)
-pick up teacher gift (Thursday
-make the card/frame for teacher gift (Tonight)
-pick up water ice and pretzels for class party (Friday)
-class party (Friday)
-Toy Story 3 (Friday)
-make potato salad and macaroni salad for Block Party(Friday)
-Block Party (Saturday)
-Pass Out (SUNDAY)

I will probably check back in later today though. Hope you are all having a good one:hug:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Rosie - Good news about the $$$:thumbsup2

Kristel - Slow down, you son't want to make yourself sick:hug:

Taz - Where are you taking GS for the dev. ped?

Hi to everyone else :wave2:

Kristel - Hope the rain holds off for you so you can finish the deck. The cane sounds like a good idea for Doug. I keep one in my car for when my back and knee are ready to give out and it helps.

Janet - That is a lot to do in a couple of days. It looks like my normal schedule. I'm jealous about the block party. We had one once about 20 years ago and that was it. My neighbors are all anti-social. :rotfl2: The bl;ocks around me all have them and there are times I want to call the police on them. They block the streets so you can't get through (not their block) and have DJ's that are so loud my house shakes until after midnight. There are a couple of accidents around the street with the block party every year.

I'm taking Mikey to CHOP for the dev. ped. I hate the traffic to get there but it's a good hospital.

+++++++++++++

Afternoon all. I forgot to tell you all that I got the greatest book for free the other day. My church had a flea market last week and someone donated their books for anyone to take. There was a book in the pile that I jumped on. It was the one issued when Disney World opened. :yay: The only park was MK and EPCOT was being planned for the future. I couldn't believe that someone just got rid of it and I got it for FREE. :woohoo: It is in really good shape to, just a few scuff marks on the cover.

I have my granddaughter's last dance class until September today. :woohoo: The recital is Friday and school is out Friday. I am so excited to have 2 months of relatively free time. :yay:

Have a good day.
