Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

GOOD NEWS!!! Judy is much better !! She had emergency surgery to correct the prolapsed lap band and unwrap it from her stomach and may be home tomorrow !! She sounde GREAT this evening !! Doctor called and said she did very well and may come home tomorrow of course Judy insists she IS!!!!

If that wasn't enuff good news .... I got the Free Disney trip I will be going in October !!! Anyone else be there then!!!

I'm glad she's doing well, and congrats on the Disney trip! :goodvibes

*****************************************************
Off to Field Day in a few... Because D & Dad put the A/C in on Saturday, it is now 50 out. :rotfl2: I'm not sure how to dress for the day. It's cold now, only supposed to hit 70, but 70 and sunny always feels hot on the field. I guess I'm going shorts and the volunteer T-shirt, but with a jacket, and tennies rather than flip-flops. :confused3

I hope you all have a great day! With the match tonight, too, I don't know that I'll be around anymore until at least tonight. Enjoy your Hump Day! ;)

Great news. Hope she gets home soon.

I'm going to Disney in October. Ill be there the 21st to the 26th.

That sounds like the weather here. I did decide on jeans though because I will be inside most of the day. Enjoy field day.

+++++++++++++
Morning all. Not a whole lot going on today. I'm going to take it easy as much as possible. I am such a klutz that I fell out of my car yesterday. :lmao: I buckled the kids into their seats and hit an uneven patch of sidewalk. I wish I could have had a video because it must have been funny to watch. Who falls out of a car?

The weather here is supposed to be wet and cool compared to last week but the heat is coming back. The Flyers are on tonight so I will be watching the game. Go Flyers.

Have a good day all.

She called me back it's really bleeding. I finally snapped and told her I was at least 3 hours and 1200 miles away, what did she want me to do.

Is she related to my MIL:lmao:

I
Maybe I should show this to her so she realizes what my life really is like.

::yes::

Thank you all for giving me the space to decompress today. It really did help writing this. .

That's why we are here:goodvibes

Next Friday. Tomorrow is Field Day, and next Thursday is "Read All Day" - and the last day is a half day. So, we're really only looking at 5 days of instruction, but 7 more total. They are still having spelling tests, math timings, etc., though, so I do think they are still getting some work done. :thumbsup2

That's Jimmy's last day too, but they have full-days all the way through. They aren't doing anything though which worries me, becasue Jimmy is NOT good when there is no structure:eek:

Good moning Fockers:goodvibes As Taz said the weather is rainy and carppy.

As I mentioned above they aren't doing much in school (next Friday is the last day) and I am concerned about Jimmy making it through becasue he does not do well without structure. He is also very anxious about 1st grade ending. Poor kiddo. So that is something we have been working on with him.

He has an OT appointment at 4:45, so I will be leaving work early to pick him up and take him to that.

Not much else happeing. Hope you all have a great day:hug:

:hug: FWIW, remember that Leo always struggled with a need for structure too - but he's doing surprisingly well with the lack of it these past couple weeks! I think age has a little to do with it, so hang in there!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL, LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!! :woohoo:
Thanks for your thoughts yesterday; I'm not in a position to say much yet, but my "thing" went fine! :thumbsup2
The rain has arrived. Thankfully I don't have much to do today. I'm going to watch the Flyers and start on Day 2 of my TR. If any of you have been reading leave a comment. I know people are reading by the count but no one leaves comments. If I ever figure out how to post a link in my signature I will.
I do have to make a quick run to my brothers house. He is my IT person and I just bought a new computer. :woohoo: The one I have now has been driving me crazy and I think the hard-drive may need to be replaced so I got a new one with tons more space and Windows 7. I can't wait til he gets the back-up discs done so I can use it.
I am soo excited about Disney in October !!:banana:Anybody be there 14th - 19th!!!!
Maybe I should show this to her so she realizes what my life really is like. Sorry for the long post but this is my life.
Pleasedon't think I'm being harsh but it really sounds as though she needs to stand on her own 2 feet more, plus your children have grown up and you should be enjoying time for you :hug:
Sadly not but wooohoooo
Had a great day at golf today, my partner Val and I went to Royal Cinque Ports which is right on the coast, so much so we could see France. It is a very snooty club and normally costs £110 to play (about $170) but we got on free as it was a practise :thumbsup2 I loved the course, it's a links and was pretty sand duney (not a word but you get what I mean :rotfl2:) and so different to my own course. I played well too which helped!
I also got my solar garden lights today and they're nice :thumbsup2
Oh here's another comp, they choose one US and one English winner and the hamper is full of English shortbread and stuff. The answer is - heaps of marzipan and sugar icing http://www.walkersshortbread.com/competition
Thanks, it was fun. And though I've never fallen out of a car, it totally sounds like something I would do. :rotfl2:
Field Day was great - the weather did indeed hover around 72 and with the sun, it was perfect. Not too hot, not too cold. :thumbsup2
Now a few hours down time before the babysitter comes too early, and I play tennis. :rolleyes: It's clouding up, and though I'm supposed to play inside later, the 6:00 games are outside, so I hope it stays OK. Someone got some inside courts signed up, but I think they canceled them this morning to avoid a no-show fee, and now it looks iffier again. Oh, well.
I think the kids just got home, so I'd better run again. Have a good evening! :goodvibes
Wow, it's so quiet around here!
Not that I have anything good to contribute. :surfweb:
Leo went to summer camp this morning... in a mood. Oh goody. :rolleyes:
People at work are also in "moods." Oh joy. :rolleyes:
Apparently I need to tune everyone out and make my own fun?! :rotfl:
Good morning, V! I hope everyone's moods improve! :goodvibes
Went for a walk with Tara this morning, then sat and chatted. I've got some laundry going. Woohoo! ;)
Moody is so much fun. :rolleyes:
My nephew weighed 9lbs 14.5ozs. :eek: He's having a little difficulty taking deep breaths, so they are keeping an eye on his lungs, but my sister doesn't think it's anything to worry with.
The godchildren with Reid. Aren't they just adorable too? :lovestruc
I told Kylee I was going to take her picture and this is what she does! :rotfl:Too bad she hates getting her picture taken.
V - Sorry everyone is PMSing around you:hug: Hope Leo's mood got better throughout the day and he had a fun 1st day of camp.
Angela - They are adorable. Pictures of the new baby? Her name?
CE - SOunds like a good day;):thumbsup2
Crazy busy at work. Prison overcrowding means they are letting tons out, which means tons of work for me. Today is the last day of 1st grade homework:yay:
I did speak with the counselor at Jimmy's school and she is going to work with him for the enxt couple of days before school ends to help him with the transition so that should help:thumbsup2
Flyers lost:sad2: BUT...since I was saying they should have lost the last game of the season so they would miss the playoffs and get a decent draft pick, I can't complain. They went much further than anyone thought they would.
Chat with you al later:grouphug:
Congratulations Auntie Angela :goodvibes Hope the baby is fine and as Janet said details please :)
I've been in a grump today, remember ages ago I had a garden swinging chair delivered and it was faulty as it wouldn't fit together properly. Well 4 phone calls and 3 emails later (over the last 4 weeks) I still haven't actually spoken to someone from the company, just their messaging service :mad: I've contacted my cc company to put in a claim and went to citizens advice today only to find out it's been shut and they now do weekly appointments so I need to call :sad2: So hopefully they'll help, it's just so annoying!!!!!
Yesterday I had my solar garden lights delivered and the fairy ones are so cute, they're solar powered too, not sure where I'll put them though. Anyway today I took delivery of the football survival kit and OMG it's funny. It's a giant inflatable chair which looks like a soccer ball, a big bowl which looks like half a ball, a beer cooler and a really annoying trumpet/blower thing. The girls love it, hopefully we can take the ball to Dad's and leave by his pool though :thumbsup2
Tomorrow I'm meant to be playing golf with a friend from another club but it's meant to rain so fingers crossed the weather forecasters get it wrong!
Good morning! Got the kids on the bus, then, since it was cloudy, went back to sleep for a bit. I've been up now for a while and trying to figure out my day. We are talking about a "dinner cruise" on the boat later, but it's really not going to be that warm (go figure - D's home, we have the A/C in, no company, etc. and yesterday's high was 58 and today's is supposed to be 73 :rolleyes:) So, we can't decide. But tomorrow is full of baseball and then D leaves Sunday (and we have an end-of-baseball party, too.) I do have an appointment for eyebrow waxing around noon and I need to go to the grocery store. D's doing more drywall and says he may need my help, too.
I was going to go for my C25K thing, but my iPhone's dead - I forgot to charge it last night. I know that sounds excuse-ish, but I need it to be working to do the app. :rotfl:
Maybe I'll go run on the treadmill before my appointment. It's too nice of a day to do that, but it works out. :thumbsup2
Anyway... I am leading an exciting life. :rotfl2:
I hope you're all having a wonderful Friday! :grouphug:
Just wanted to pop in and say hi. :wave2:
Things are fine here. The inlaws cone Monday (calm blue ocean) but not too much else going on. I've been reading along, so :hug: for everybody.
Gotta get something done around here so off I go...
Hey all. QUick check in from work. It's still crazy busy, which is good...it doesn make the day go by more quickly ::yes::
Tomorrow is baseball and cleaning. At some pint Jimmy and I have to get out to get Jim his birthday gift (His birthday is Sunday). New coffee pot (his died in the middle of making a pot on Wednesday:headache:) but I need to fugure out something else to get him. Then next week is father's day, so I have to think of something for that too.
That's it from me...back to work. BBL:hug:
For V, that is winter
Exactly! :rotfl:
Morning all! :wave:
I can now safely report on my "thing" earlier this week... I had applied for an interviewed for a position with another agency. The interview was the "thing" and it went well... but I decided not to pursue it further. Without going into too much detail, the work the agency does goes against my personal beliefs in many, many ways and I just couldn't justify it in any way. It';s a shame, because the people there are terrific. Good news is that I feel a lot better about where I'm at (assuming our current proposed budget holds and I still have a job next year...) and have a better handle on where I'd want to head if I ever leave. :thumbsup2
