Hey!
Jo, yeah, it's turning out not so funny.

D nearly had to go to Portugal last night to pick up a crew and passenger that they allowed to go to Venice for some reason. They would have had to leave the plane there. But, I guess they got out before Italy closed up. My friend with whom we went to the benefit last night has a brother who was supposed to be going to London and Paris for the April break. Now, not so much... Massachusett's (where they are) spring break is this week, where ours is next week.
Janet, glad you're feeling better! Rosie, good luck to the girls.

So...
We had a really good time last night, but having not eaten lunch nor dinner, then going to a party at a bar... They had a few hot appetizers, but nothing much, and I ate some cheese and crackers, but I was celebrating the end of book fair, and... Well, I had fun.

My friend assures me I wasn't embarrassing, so that's good.
They had a silent auction, and D also having had some drinks, had us bid on several things, which we won.

I got a Kenneth Cole watch for $40, and we got a cheese board/knife made of glass that one of my tennis teammates had made, plus some theatre tickets with a steak house gift cert. It was all for a good cause, but it was not a cheap night.

I do think we got deals, though, so it's fine.
We've been very lazy today. D can't figure out what to do next for the bathroom, and he's leaving tomorrow for a whole week. Woody played outside for bit with our neighbor, but he had been complaining of being cold all morning, and he finally came in and said, "Mommy, I feel hot." He had an ear temp of 103.6.
Because D's not home again until 2 days before their birthday, he took Buzz out to Toys R Us to get some ideas, which I'll have to do this week. The week, which I haven't been thinking about with my book fair stress going on, is going to be insane, yet again. I have a tennis match on Tuesday and kind of forgot that D's mom is coming in from Thursday to Sunday.

D won't be here at all whilst she's here, which stinks, and, of course, we have just the one working bathroom and my house is a total disaster, since I was at school all week.
D's picking up pizza and sandwiches, and we'll do a movie. Poor Woody is trying to say he doesn't feel bad, but he's pretty much been on the couch with a blanket since he came in.
And, he just pulled in, so I'd best get our coffee table cleared so the boys can eat and see the movie. Have a great night, everyone!
