Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

I woke up at 4:15 just to go, well, you know. Everything was normal. Sometime later - I had fallen asleep - there was a loud man talking very near me. Huh? It was guys on bullhorns fixing the neighbor's issue, and we had no power (the transformer for the two houses is on the pole between, and when their lines came down, the transformer was dislodged somewhat. I'm sure they turned it off to screw it back into the pole.) D woke up in a panic when he heard the sawing or whatever. We both took a while to get back to sleep, then I happened to stir and look at the clock 10 minutes before the alarm goes off, and at least the power was back on. But, it wasn't a restful night. We got the kids on the bus, then both went back to sleep for a while.

Yuck, interrupted sleep stinks!:headache:

I won the golf comp yesterday, I thought I'd done badly but obviously everyone else did worse :rotfl2:]/QUOTE]

Congrats!

Tomorrow I have the final of the winter knock out so fingers crossed!!!

Good luck:goodvibes

Ugh, I've had some tummy issues lately and I feel like crap.... hehehe, no pun intended.

Hope you are feeling better!

Don't know if you all heard, but there was a girl from San Diego who went missing last week. They found her body yesterday and all ready have a suspect in custody. He'd done it before and served time, not the maximum sentence. He should still be in prison, but since he only got 6 instead of 11 years, he was out and raped and murdered this teenaged girl. It makes me sick to think of all the monsters out there, sitting, waiting to hurt all of our kids. I'm pissed, but mostly I'm sad for that family. They're living a nightmare that I cannot even fathom. :guilty:

I heard:sad2: Now you know why people in my line of work get so frustrated:mad:

Something like that recently happened up here. It really shook the area as we have very little crime. A 26 year old woman was taken from her home and murdered. Turns out that the "suspect" was the base commander of one of our largest military bases here in Canada. :scared1: I say "suspect" as apparently he has confessed and led the police to her body. He has also been connected to the sexual assault and murder of another woman, one of his subordinates, plus a string of sexual assaults where he invaded homes and tied up women and stole their underwear as souvenirs. Who knows what other crimes he can be connected to as obviously being military he has moved around a lot. Very scary!

:scared1:

I found out I was using the wrong login. Geez I need this vacay.

That's okay, it won't be long untilyou are blacklisted:rolleyes1

Lunch was yummy and fun to just sit and chat. :thumbsup2 But that pretty much blew my day - I'd thought I'd get to Target after, but there wasn't time.

Glad you had fun!

I'm a quitter... I don't know why I started a dang PTR. I DON'T want to do a TR. :headache: It feels like writing about it afterwards and trying to write down things makes the trip less than relaxing. I'm going for a stress-free experience this year. :cloud9:

:sad2:

Oh good! I tracked them this morning and they were still being sorted. Check to "Troop 6134", please. :flower3:

Mine came too, check in the mail first thing tomorrow morning!:thumbsup2

I'm seriously going to try to plan more lunches in the room this summer... we'll have the full kitchen, so I might as well take advantage, KWIM?

I would definitely plan for this if I had a kitchen!:thumbsup2

Apparently the welcome mat was covered with something cuz I haven't seen any unwanted visitors today.....

That's cause I wasn't able to drive out there today:rolleyes1

I listen to my aunt because I am her only godchild, she never had kids and she has a house down the shore and money. I will please her. :lmao:

Smart woman. Are you going on Saturday?

++++++++++++++++++++++

Hey all. Crazy busy day and work, then I had to leave early to pick Jimmy up for his occupational therapy appointment. By the time we got home it was after 6:00 and we had to do homework and then have a quick dinner. He is watching Pokemon and then it is going to be bath and bed. I am sooo tired.

Tomorrow there are no appointments and no after school acicities. I can't wait:cloud9:

Have a good night all!

Hello Fockers!

I hope everyone is doing well. I am exhausted. I will try to post a group update tomorrow. I had to work OT last night, unexpectedly. Then I stayed over this morning for some training. I didn't get home until after 7AM.

When I woke up around 2PM, I was still not feeling very energetic. I called a friend and we met her for dinner at O'Chuck's. I didn't feel like cooking. I've promised Doug some Brats for tomorrow night though.

We will be getting up around 5AM in the morning. Doug's MRI at IU Med. is at 7AM. We will be there all morning to see the doctor and get his 3rd infusion. That means I absolutely have to get to bed early tonight. I am fighting the urge to take a nap right now but I may have to as Ghost Hunters 2 hr. season opener is on tonight on Syfy. I love to watch Grant and Jason. They will be at Alcatraz. I can't miss it!
Hugs to all. L8R!

Thanks for the heads up about Ghost Hunters I always forget its on. Hope you get some rest and all goes well for Doug tomorrow.

Smart woman. Are you going on Saturday?
I'm no dummy . And I am positive I'm in the will based on hints my mom has dropped. I will please my aunt.
Absolutely I am really looking forward to it. I just wish they can come up with a time as I may have to babysit 2 of my grandkids later in the day.

I'm sorry, he didn't actually MURDER before. He raped and beat his 13 year old neighbor, luckily she escaped. The kicker was the court psych told them he's a danger and should get the maximum sentence and because it was his "first offense" he got the minimum sentence. :sad2:

And you're absolutely right... people need to check what the offenses are of criminals on the Megans law website. Urinating in public is a sex offense.

i just read about this and it just makes me sick. I really dont like to think about these things long because it just makes me so upset and feel scared to exist in this world sometimes.

:wave2: Actually read through, but I've got tons of studying to begin. only a week and a half left of this quarter!:scared1:

My break week is going well so far although it is not really a "break" as instead of full time class I have full-time hours at work.:laughing:

That is okay though as I am headed to Syracuse in the morning for a little shopping and of course there will be a Focker meet! Can't promise a picture though, you know how forgetful we Fockers get. ;) I'll try my best though. ;) It is Mom, Erich and I headed down so it will be an interesting day. :rolleyes1

I also found out that my dad is writing me a nice $1000 cheque when I go out and visit him this summer. :cool1: That will be nice as it takes a bit of the pressure off me to scrimp and save for my tuition. Now I won't feel so guilty buying my new purse. :cutie:

Good morning!
I'm just here to say hello. I have to get the boys on the bus still.

I do have a question though. Has anyone switched resorts midway thru a trip before? We have, but it was when we would rent a car. How do you go about this? Do they handle moving stuff?
Any help from you guys will save me calling....

Mel:banana:

Good Morning All !! I fell asleep last night still fully dressed:scared1:I was sooo beat from the busy day!!!!

I've never done it but from everything I have read here and in the UG, you can take your stuff to Bell Services and they will make sure it gets transferred. I don't what the time line would be though.

What about a cab?

Good Morning All !! I fell asleep last night still fully dressed:scared1:I was sooo beat from the busy day!!!!

You need to slow down:hug:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Morning all. It's a beautiful day and on Saturday it is going to be sunny and in the 50's! Can I get a YAHOO:yay::yay::yay:

Quiet day here, just the normal work and school stuff. We have been so happy lately. Jimmy for awhile there was really giving us a hard time getting up in the AM and then going to bed at night. It's almost like a switch went off in his little brain and for the last wek and a half no problems at either end:cool1:

Hope you all have a wonderful day:goodvibes

I was going to say the same thing as Janet. I was told you take your stuff to bell services and they'll transfer it for you. I planned on going to a park then taking the bus back to my new resort. If you're not doing a park, you could take a cab or go to DTD to shop and transfer. :thumbsup2

That's right because British people don't like savoy with sweet, right Jo?
No it's because I don't like nuts :rotfl2:

Yes. The only bummer is that other people wouldn't be able to post popcorn pics...

;) :lmao:
But, but, but I had my popcorn all ready to post :sad1:

But Jo's not British! :lmao:
:headache::rotfl2:

Say What!?! Must be because you're British....;)
:rolleyes1

My son got his 14 y/o girlfriend pregnant when he was 15. If her family had wanted he could have been charged. Thankfully they were so excited they took her out to dinner to celebrate.
14 and 15 yikes and then they took her out to dinner? :faint: Are they still together?

We will be getting up around 5AM in the morning. Doug's MRI at IU Med. is at 7AM. We will be there all morning to see the doctor and get his 3rd infusion.
Hope it goes well Kristel and don't worry about an update take care of you and Doug

As the others said just take your luggage to bell services and they'll transfer it for you :thumbsup2

Good Morning All !! I fell asleep last night still fully dressed:scared1:I was sooo beat from the busy day!!!!
Be sure to rest Rosie

Well I lost :sad2::sad1: It was a very very tight match, literally nothing in it and she beat me on the last hole and that was only because I lost a ball on the 16th, we still can't believe we didn't find it, very odd :sad2: Oh well :sad1:

I also found out that my dad is writing me a nice $1000 cheque when I go out and visit him this summer. :cool1: That will be nice as it takes a bit of the pressure off me to scrimp and save for my tuition. Now I won't feel so guilty buying my new purse. :cutie:

Mel:banana:

Never done it, but I'm 100% sure they move it for you, from everything I've read. ;)

It's almost like a switch went off in his little brain and for the last wek and a half no problems at either end:cool1:

That's great!

********************************************************
So... I read too late last night, then didn't much want to move this morning again. I need to get on a good school sleep schedule, I guess.

Then, the teammate who'd had us over for lunch yesterday came in for her lesson after ours, but her daughter had locked herself out of their house, so she thought she had to go home. I volunteered (now that I know where she lives :rotfl:) to just take keys over so she could stay, so I did that, then went to the bank to get more checks. They switched providers, so I couldn't order refills online like I usually do. :headache:

Now I'm home. I think the boys will go to karate tonight from 4:15-5:00, then we will have their rec b-ball team's "end of season" pizza party at 6:00 (no idea why the coach picked a Thursday for that, but whatever.) Then we can go to karate tomorrow, too - and not on Saturday morning, which will make me happy! :rotfl2:

And that's really all I've got. Hope everyone's having a good day! Jo, hope you're playing well! :goodvibes

I'm a control freak, so rather than having Bell Services switch my luggage, I took a cab from Pop to the Dolphin-the $12 was worth my piece of mind.

Well I lost :sad2::sad1: It was a very very tight match, literally nothing in it and she beat me on the last hole and that was only because I lost a ball on the 16th, we still can't believe we didn't find it, very odd :sad2: Oh well :sad1:

Well, dang. I just posted my good luck message!

14 and 15 yikes and then they took her out to dinner? :faint: Are they still together?

No they aren't thankfully. He wanted to marry her because I raised him to take responsibility for his actions. They broke up by the time my grandson was 3 months old. He has always remained active in his son's life and it was hard at times. His ex was at his wedding last year because they have finally grown up as people. I didn't celebrate. I cried for 3 months. My grandson is my best buddy and I wouldn't change things now but it was tough.

+++++++++++++=
Hi all. Had a good morning after seeing the weather is going to be sunny and in the 50's over the weekend. I am so sick of cold and snow.
Took my grandson to the drs. office and I think my little bit of South Philly on them worked. They had all the forms and prescriptions I needed ready. The dr. noted that my grandson has a speech delay and will do anything we need to get him the help he needs. The staff even bent over backwards being nice to me. I really hate having to get in people's faces to have them do their jobs. Of course Mikey will be 4 and talks on the level of an 18 to 24 month old. Thankfully he's small so people assume he's younger than he is.

I keep telling myself less than 2 months and I'll be in Disney and can escape all this.

Mel:banana:

We had to do this in January. I asked conceirge and they told me to take my stuff to bell services and they would transfer it over... AFTER 3pm! I wasn't down for that, so we grabbed a cab after breakfast and headed over to SSR and checked in. Luckily our room was ready, so we dumped our stuff off and hit the parks. :) HTH.

We have always taken a cab when we split stayed, I think it's just easier and quicker and I know where my stuff is.

Hello from sick land!

I had what I think was food poisoning yesterday. I was a MESS. Luckily KC stayed home from work and was here with me to hold my hair back. LOL. It really was horrible. I spent about 7 hours in and out of the bathroom.

I haven't really eaten much since yesterday either. I just now had some eggs, mostly yesterday I had toast and a bagel that I picked at. I am kinda hungry but i'm a bit scared to eat. I feel weak as can be tho so I am taking it easy.

The bad thing about it all is we had to change our appointment with the exterminator until next week because I can't see myself being forced out of the house for 4-6 hours today when I wanna lay in bed. So another week of living out of garbage bags. It's worth it to be bug free in the end.

Hope everyone is doing well, I'm off to play some games with KC for a while.
