Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Man, my head hurts. Ouch! Don't know why but I've had a terrible headache off and on for two weeks. It's starting to get annoying.

Feel better.

CE: When I have that problem, I usually bring something small like a cute dish for the holiday (easter? st. pattys?) and put a bag of peanut M&Ms in it. They sell cute dishes at all the dollar stores, and my grocery. Target too, though they're a bit more. Who doesn't like peanut M&Ms????? :confused3

Not a bad idea! I'm thinking that the only store anywhere close to between our houses is a cute little small-town market. But yeah, even something that she can use later, not just for lunch is ideal. Thanks! :thumbsup2

OK, Mel - get on it! :rotfl:

**********************************************************
Oh, man.

I woke up at 4:15 just to go, well, you know. Everything was normal. Sometime later - I had fallen asleep - there was a loud man talking very near me. Huh? It was guys on bullhorns fixing the neighbor's issue, and we had no power (the transformer for the two houses is on the pole between, and when their lines came down, the transformer was dislodged somewhat. I'm sure they turned it off to screw it back into the pole.) D woke up in a panic when he heard the sawing or whatever. We both took a while to get back to sleep, then I happened to stir and look at the clock 10 minutes before the alarm goes off, and at least the power was back on. But, it wasn't a restful night. We got the kids on the bus, then both went back to sleep for a while.

D is packing up to head out, and I need to get moving myself for my lunch. I showered last night, so I just need to dress and do makeup stuff, but I should do that if I'm going to stop and get a hostess thing.

I'll be back later! Have a good start to Hump Day! ;)

I love cheese straws, but after looking at the picture, they are not what I'm used to. They still look good though.
Those were shortcrust pastry, you can also make them as puff pastry :thumbsup2

Those look yummy! ::yes::
Well they were just ones I found on photobucket but Jessica's ones were very yummy too :rotfl2:

:tiptoe: Just popping in to see what's new - hope everyone's hanging in there! :grouphug:
Hi V :wave2:

cute plate! and the food looks yummy too.
The photo is just one from photobucket, I was too lazy to take a real photo :rotfl2: Yikes on the dental work

Well I realized my 180 days is coming up and I just don't want to call.

I am no longer into the uber planning, I want to be able to go with the flow. (yes it's really me, no one highjacked my account)
All I've got is  :rotfl2:

She's flying Jo in, so why not. :confused3 ;)
You know I still haven't got my ticket :rolleyes1

Well, I think she should fly me in too then. My airfare is alot cheaper than Jo's ::yes::
Hey she needs all her money for my flight, don't be so greedy :rotfl2:

I bought SD 3 pairs of Gap khakis, 2 pairs of American Eagle shorts, a pair of Levi's shorts (madras) and a pair of Vans shorts, 2 Gap dress shirts, a Brooks Brothers shirt and one button down JCrew shirt.
FORTY DOLLARS! Total! All brand new!!!! Not a thing wrong with them! GO me!!!!!!
Wow :thumbsup2

Did I tell you guys....Jimmy is up 320 books on the 100 book challenge (he's a bit of an over achiever:rolleyes1) so now his teacher is now sending home chapter books for him to read :thumbsup2 He is leading the entire 1st grade apparently (About 60 kids - 3 classrooms)
Fantastic :thumbsup2

Add them to the I miss list!!!!!
They're very very easy to make Rosie :thumbsup2

Jo, hope Boo's feeling better - letting her sleep was probably a good idea. And the cheese straws look delicious! Sounds like you had a crazy day.
She is fine today thanks and the cheese straws have almost gone, although the ones in the photo were just from photobucket :rotfl2:

At what time? Yikes!!!!

I won the golf comp yesterday, I thought I'd done badly but obviously everyone else did worse :rotfl2:

We were old softies last night and didn't shut Boo in the kitchen so I found her on my feet at about 2am, normally I wouldn't take any notice but I didn't want to do anything to her incision :rotfl2: She is back to her normal self today and doesn't seem to be in any pain or licking the wound, which is incredibly clean and neat :thumbsup2

I played 9 holes today and then nipped into the tiny town near me, so tiny infact that a bus and lorry (truck) were stuck on one of it's roads. They were literally stuck for over 30 minutes trying to get past each other  I went home the other way :rotfl2:

Tomorrow I have the final of the winter knock out so fingers crossed!!!

Quickie drive-by post!! :moped:

Let's see what I can remember.....:scratchin:

Jo - Glad to hear Boo is feeling better. Can I ask why you lock her up in the kitchen at night? Our old cat would have gone nuts if he couldn't roam our house.

Sam - That stinks about the dental work. I've learned preventative treatment is much cheaper than corrective treatment. I've got 6K of work in my mouth right now. UGH! Good luck! Your dress is lovely! :bride:

CE - Have fun at your lunch! Can you believe that's all I remembered?

V - Yay! You're back! :goodvibes

Hola! Mel, Dawn, Angela and Rosie! Geeze, I hope I didn't forget anyone!

************************************************************
Ugh, I've had some tummy issues lately and I feel like crap.... hehehe, no pun intended.

Not much going on today... I really need to go shopping for a gift for my mother. Her 74th birthday is Saturday. :cake: She's been wanting a new Vera Bradley bag, so I'll probably just get her a GC for that. She's super difficult to buy for. :sad2:

Anyway, I've got some cleaning to do and then jump in the shower. It's freakin' frigid here....62's going to be the high.

Don't know if you all heard, but there was a girl from San Diego who went missing last week. They found her body yesterday and all ready have a suspect in custody. He'd done it before and served time, not the maximum sentence. He should still be in prison, but since he only got 6 instead of 11 years, he was out and raped and murdered this teenaged girl. It makes me sick to think of all the monsters out there, sitting, waiting to hurt all of our kids. I'm pissed, but mostly I'm sad for that family. They're living a nightmare that I cannot even fathom. :guilty:

Something like that recently happened up here. It really shook the area as we have very little crime. A 26 year old woman was taken from her home and murdered. Turns out that the "suspect" was the base commander of one of our largest military bases here in Canada. :scared1: I say "suspect" as apparently he has confessed and led the police to her body. He has also been connected to the sexual assault and murder of another woman, one of his subordinates, plus a string of sexual assaults where he invaded homes and tied up women and stole their underwear as souvenirs. Who knows what other crimes he can be connected to as obviously being military he has moved around a lot. Very scary!

So she doesn't come and nibble my toes in the night :rotfl2:

That's terrible, my friend lives in San Diego, her DD used to be in Ellie's class so she's 12

I did read about the girl. That's horrible. I feel so bad for her family. I am taking criminal justice classes and while doing research for my paper I came upon the Megan's Law website. I have a convicted offender living about 5 houses from me. Thankfully I don't have any little ones now but it is scary.

Have had an easy day so far. Wednesday is my day off from the kids. I only have to pick up mt granddaughter and take her to dance. Heading out for a haircut and dance and then I have a free evening. I just wish I knew when my hubby will get home. He never comes home at the same time so it wreaks some havoc on my schedule. Have a good day all.

This from the woman who is vacationing with the drink smuggler;)

Uh oh, they added you to the Blacklist becasue they found out you are here:lmao:
I cannot control that woman, Janet! You know that!!! :lmao:
I found out I was using the wrong login. Geez I need this vacay.

Hey she needs all her money for my flight, don't be so greedy :rotfl2:
:rotfl:

Hope it gets better and I don't like peanut M&Ms :rotfl:
That's right because British people don't like savoy with sweet, right Jo?

She is fine today thanks

Oh, good. ;)

At what time? Yikes!!!!

Turns out it was about 5:15. It was 6:30 when I woke up and they'd gone. I'm still just tired. :lmao:

I won the golf comp yesterday, I thought I'd done badly but obviously everyone else did worse :rotfl2:

Congratulations! :worship:

Probably smart... :rotfl:

Tomorrow I have the final of the winter knock out so fingers crossed!!!

Thank you, I did. And my cookies are here! :thumbsup2 Check to you or the troop?

Ah, yes, so cold... :rotfl2: Seriously, it was 48 here yesterday which was not bad. Only 37 now, but again, for March, I'll take it. Most of the snow's gone from our yard, too! :cool1:

Have fun! New haircut or a trim? :)

********************************************************
Lunch was yummy and fun to just sit and chat. :thumbsup2 But that pretty much blew my day - I'd thought I'd get to Target after, but there wasn't time.

I'm still just beat. It probably isn't helping that it's really grey - it snowed earlier (didn't stick) and that's stopped, but it's a blah looking day, too. :confused3

I'm a quitter... I don't know why I started a dang PTR. I DON'T want to do a TR. :headache: It feels like writing about it afterwards and trying to write down things makes the trip less than relaxing. I'm going for a stress-free experience this year. :cloud9:

The girl that was killed, Chelsea King was 17. :guilty:

You know I checked that website and found an offender living towards the entrance of our neighborhood... right smack in front of where a lot of kids walk home from school.
That's right because British people don't like savoy with sweet, right Jo?

But Jo's not British! :lmao:
Thank you, I did. And my cookies are here! :thumbsup2 Check to you or the troop?
Oh good! I tracked them this morning and they were still being sorted. Check to "Troop 6134", please. :flower3:

Ya, I know. But for March in CA? I should be at least low to mid 70's. :teeth:

Another one bites the dust! :lmao:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And... I've got nothing. Sorry. :confused3

Oh yes! Have you all perused the menu's over at allearsnet lately? Dang, the kid meals have really gone up! The Mouse is really trying to stick it to ya! I'm seriously going to try to plan more lunches in the room this summer... we'll have the full kitchen, so I might as well take advantage, KWIM?

Hope it gets better and I don't like peanut M&Ms :rotfl:
Thanks, it's marginally better but still there.
Say What!?! Must be because you're British....;)

Omgosh! Silly lorry drivers!

Tomorrow I have the final of the winter knock out so fingers crossed!!!
Of course! Good luck!

I did hear. Those stories tear my heart out. Especially as my child has gotten to the age of driving and being out alone. It's terrifying to me that the young lady, Chelsea, never ran alone and then the ONE time she did, he got her. The scariest thing to me is that those people SIT and WAIT for a child to come along and then grab them. How can we ever be safe?

Who knows what other crimes he can be connected to as obviously being military he has moved around a lot. Very scary!
So scary! :scared1:

Right! ::yes::

Thanks for answering this. I was about to mail mine out and then realized I didn't know who to make it out to either!

Seriously! I noticed that not only did the kid's meals go up, but the regular menus have changed slightly. Narcoossee's for example. :headache:
I am so paranoid now that I am checking ALL the places I want to eat!

*****************
Checking off more stuff on my "TO DO BEFORE DISNEY" list....
Got both boys haircuts
Grabbed some stuff at CVS
Printed all the assorted do-dads I needed for Disney.
Washed SD's new duds

Now, tonight we'll hit the sammie shop for dinner because NotBob is still gone (how sad is it that I'm not entirely sure WHEN he comes home? :sad2:) and I am tired!
The stupid headache is still hanging around.
Hope you all are having a nice day. Apparently the welcome mat was covered with something cuz I haven't seen any unwanted visitors today.....

ROFL

MEL:banana:

How awful about the Little girl in San Diego!!! They let criminals out early alot of times due to overcrowding !!! I find it hard to believe that if he MURDERED before he only got 6 years !!! On the sex offender you discovered thru Megans Law !! Before any of you panic try to find out what their sex crime was !!! An awful lot got a really raw deal and labelled sex offender when they really weren\'t In no way am I defending the genuine sickees but just saying do research before you panic !!!

I'm sorry, he didn't actually MURDER before. He raped and beat his 13 year old neighbor, luckily she escaped. The kicker was the court psych told them he's a danger and should get the maximum sentence and because it was his "first offense" he got the minimum sentence. :sad2:

And you're absolutely right... people need to check what the offenses are of criminals on the Megans law website. Urinating in public is a sex offense.

See what I mean about what is considered a sex offender !!!! How many out theren have "Peed where they shouldn't:lmao: I would guess most little boys would be up for that title !!!:lmao:

I totally agree about checking further when you check the website. My hubby is a sheriff and my son's a correctional officer so they can check these things out. My neighbor was indecent contact not with a child.
I have always said that the website can be a dangerous tool. My son got his 14 y/o girlfriend pregnant when he was 15. If her family had wanted he could have been charged. Thankfully they were so excited they took her out to dinner to celebrate. :scared1: It wasn't a fun time but he's a good dad and my grandson is an amazing kid. He likes to remind his dad that he'll be a teenager before my son is 30. :lmao:

My haircut was technically a trim. I had short spiky hair last year. My aunt told me it looked stupid so I have let it grow out a little. That just means more frequent trips to the hairdresser to shape it up. I listen to my aunt because I am her only godchild, she never had kids and she has a house down the shore and money. I will please her. :lmao:

:rotfl: Ah, very wise. ;)

I'm letting my hair grow, just because it wasn't working at all for my tennis playing (nor very well for our boat in the summer...)

Hello Fockers!

I hope everyone is doing well. I am exhausted. I will try to post a group update tomorrow. I had to work OT last night, unexpectedly. Then I stayed over this morning for some training. I didn't get home until after 7AM.

When I woke up around 2PM, I was still not feeling very energetic. I called a friend and we met her for dinner at O'Chuck's. I didn't feel like cooking. I've promised Doug some Brats for tomorrow night though.

We will be getting up around 5AM in the morning. Doug's MRI at IU Med. is at 7AM. We will be there all morning to see the doctor and get his 3rd infusion. That means I absolutely have to get to bed early tonight. I am fighting the urge to take a nap right now but I may have to as Ghost Hunters 2 hr. season opener is on tonight on Syfy. I love to watch Grant and Jason. They will be at Alcatraz. I can't miss it!

Hugs to all. L8R!
