Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

OK, tell me if I am wrong or over-reacting!

My friend's daughter is making her 1st Holy Communion on April 24th. She is having a party afterwards (which personally I don't agree with becasue I think it takes away from the occassion, that's just my person opinions - but would go because he DD. DS and Jimmy are really good friends). However on the same day and at the same time as the party is Jimmy's banquet for Cub Scouts. This is where gets his tiger badge and moves up to the Wolf Den and gets a bunch of other things that he has worked hard for throughout the year.

Anyway, when the invitation came, I responded right away that because of the Blue and Gold Banquet we would not be able to attend, but could we make plans to come over the next day (the party is in a hall) becasue we want to give DD a gift to celebrate the occasion.

Since I sent that email, she has been cancelling plans (at the last minute) that we had made to get the kids together and hasn't been responding to my other emails regarding that kind of stuff.:headache:

Sorry I just need to vent.

Taz - No, I'm probably ot going to make it tomorrow. Just a bad week $$ wise for us.

Hi! Quickie drive-by posting! :moped:

Yes, it's another one of THOSE days! :faint: I'm off to the bank, post office, Target and then I need to buy our movie tix for Alice in 3D.

Just wanted to pop my head in and say HI!

Janet - it's your friends problem, not yours. Don't let it upset you. She's probably got tons going on with the whole party and doesn't realize she's being a *&#$. :thumbsup2

BYE!!

You are The Bestest BRITISH!!!!!:rotfl2:
I love you Rosie

FWIW, my British tennis teammate says Jo's not British, either, since she doesn't like tea or Monty Python... She sounds like Jo, though, so... LY, Jo.
Hey :rotfl2:

Doug's MRI was good. The swelling has been reduced. He will need to start some therapy for his right arm/hand in the next week. He is going into town tomorrow to run some errands. He will swing by the hospital to schedule that and get a hold of the insurance to clear it. He will still need to get the infusions every 2 weeks for at least a couple of months. The doctor sees no reason to start any chemotherapy at this time.
Fantastic and the wine tour sounds fun :thumbsup2

Heck, I'm more British than Jo;)

(I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail the other night:p)
:rolleyes1 Sorry about your foot and wooohooo on WDW :goodvibes

Well, yeah. She's the BESTEST sorta British person we know... :lmao:
:p

I have a dilemma. I met a lady on a military spouse website and we have emailed a few times and she's asking if I'm on FB. I don't think I have anything too personal on there, but should I tell her I am? I talked to most of you for quite a while before we all were on FB, so I felt like I knew you better, and now I have gotten to meet most of you :goodvibes, several times. :woohoo: I know you can block info on FB but never have before. The etiquette of social networking. I would feel rude if I didn't tell her I was because she can look up my name and see that I'm there.
I have several friends lists and they all have different settings for what they can see, let me know if you want any help :thumbsup2

But you love us:hug:
Of course :rolleyes1:hug:

:rotfl2: And you know in all of this how do we know that Rosie is REALLY British?:rolleyes1
Hey don't you pick on my darling Rosie :rotfl2:

She doesn't get English humor and her grandmother was from England. I love Monty Python.
The thing is most Brits, especially those my age and younger don't like Monty Python :rotfl2: Have fun at the Church thing!

OK, tell me if I am wrong or over-reacting!
Definitely not, it's an important day for Jimmy too and she's being silly

I ended up golfing again so that's 5 days in a row :faint: I'm shattered now :rotfl2:

:faint: Enjoy the movie. Let us know how it is. The guy here on the radio gave it 2 1/2 stars out of 4, but he NEVER gives anything more than that unless it has subtitles:laughing:

You're probably right, and maybe becasue it's my "moody" time I'm probably just overreacting!

Hey don't you pick on my darling Rosie :rotfl2:

Definitely not, it's an important day for Jimmy too and she's being silly

Thanks!

Jimmy going to the Blue and Gold is just as important. My son was in one of the first Tiger Dens and I remember what a big deal it was for him.

I'll miss you tomorrow I was really looking forward to meeting you in person especially since you know my hubby.

:rotfl2:

But you love us:hug:

Hey!!!! :rotfl2:I prolly shouldn't say this BUT I Hate Monte Python and Benny Hill and I prefer Coffee !!!

Another one who isn't British:lmao:

+++++++++++++++

So after all that stuff about the party and the banquet, they changed the time of the banquet and now we can go to the party, or at least part of it. Ugh, I hate trying to make everyoe happy.

Hope you are all having a good start to the weekend!:goodvibes

Have I really not posted today? I've been reading.

Janet, I guess I'm glad your party thing worked out, but yeah, not your issue.

I had a heck of a day. I went to the cardio tennis class, where it was only me, Tara, and her DH. So, the pro only charged us for an hour, then for the last half hour of what would have been class, the 3 of us plus the pro played doubles, which was fun.

Then I had a half hour before playing friendly doubles with some of my team - we have a match on Wed.

That ended at 12:30. I was worn out and hungry, but needed to run by the grocery store. I got to the store and couldn't find my purse (since our garage is under our family room, I always just leave it in the car when I get home.) Hmmm. Didn't remember seeing it after paying for pizza at the basketball party last night. Called the pizza place, yep, it was there. :sad2: I mean, I'm glad it was found, but really? Losing my purse?

So, of course, I couldn't shop. Went to get the purse (still stinky and in sweats) then realized I really needed to run to school to see if the teachers had possibly all picked their time slots for Book Fair. Also, I needed to stop by the post office over missing birthday gifts from when the mail was held whilst we were in Maine, and still needed to go to the store.

I got it all done, but it was 2:30 before I got home and got to eat.

We had planned on karate this evening, then picking up pizza and doing our movie, but once the boys got home, they were just done and want to do the Sat. morning class instead. I really wanted to avoid having to be anywhere in the morning, but...

Then, Woody played with the neighbor all evening, and they wound up watching a movie together at his house. Buzz didn't want to go. We had started Kung Fu Panda - which Buzz always wants, but Woody never agrees to - before getting the call from the neighbor, and aside from not being as friendly with the kid next door, I think he really wanted that movie.

Woody came back home about 8:45 and they went to bed, but it seems like it's been a really long day and yet I can't believe it's already 11:00. I should go to bed soon, now, too, since we are trying to hit karate in the morning.

Hope you've all had a good day!

I saw Alice in Wonderland in 3-D last night, it was great!

I can't believe I've been gone all day 3 days in a row! I have a life. :rotfl: This morning the Science Center is having a Festival of Chocolate, so since Reid likes chocolate, we're going. Really hate that! ;) Yesterday we went to the Braves game and I got a little sunburn! :goodvibes I feel so much better with some sun. Although the poor vendors under the stadium were wearing gloves they were so cold. :cold:

The good news is Mitch got his orders and we can get on Tricare and join the YMCA. The bad news is Mitch got his orders and will be gone for 400 days starting the end of April. :sad2: At least now it's definite when he's leaving and when he's coming home.

Awesome! I'm hoping the boys will want to see it. I'm talking up that Jack Sparrow/Willa Wonka is in it... ;) But we'll have to do a regular movie, I think. I actually can't deal with 3-D movies. I have one eye that's worse than the other, and for whatever reason, I can't see the 3-D right because of it and it gives me a horrible headache. :headache:

I guess it's good to know, but . You know we're here for you.

Hi all!

CE - about the purse. At least you got it back:thumbsup2

Angela - Have fun. Chocolate = Good ::yes::. :hug:for you and Mitch!

Been a sort of quiet morning. I took Jimmy to the eye doctor. He needs to glasses, but we have to go back. The glass maker guy was waiting on a shipment of all new kids frames, so he is going to call us when they come in.

Jim took Tink to get her nails cut and pick up some dog food and then he is going to stop and get some hoagies for lunch on the way home.

I have laundry to do and some straightening to do, but otherwise it should be a quiet day.

Have a good one all!

Just think of the coming home bit :hug::hug:

Wow it's quiet here, I wanted to do a load of gardening today but it came over all cloudy and cold so I stayed indoors instead :rotfl2: I've also been entering competitions like crazy since Jess won her ipod touch, hopefully I'll win something soon too :rotfl2:

Lots of my Mom friends are in WDW for the Princess 1/2 marathon they're absolutely mad :rotfl2:

::yes:: I just feel like an idiot.

I have laundry to do and some straightening to do, but otherwise it should be a quiet day.

That's nice! I'm having one, too.

Sorry about the weather. It's sunny and 50ish here - beautiful! The kids are out without coats... My daffodils are coming up, too! :cloud9: (I'm scared, it's likely too early, but the 10-day looks OK.)

And yeah, a 5K is about all I want to do to run. ;)
***************************************************
Took the boys to karate and got them registered for baseball. They've been outside most of the rest of the late morning/afternoon - after eating lunch, thankfully. I've been splitting time between some basic cleaning and working on Book Fair - one month and two days away now.

I am really looking forward to seeing you guys next week. And, when Mitch goes, you know we're here. Call anytime!

Me too! The difference in eyes is what does it! AH-HA! I've always wondered. :confused3

Sounds like a weekend here too...
What a good husband you have, doing the doggie errands AND bringing home dinner!

:I've also been entering competitions like crazy since Jess won her ipod touch, hopefully I'll win something soon too :rotfl2:
Is this one of the competitions on FB? I see them all the time! Should I be doing this too?

My crockus bulbs are coming out too. We still have TONS of snow in piles though. It's in the 40s today, but hey, for up here that's a HEATWAVE! :)

*****************************
Been writing up care instructions for the neighbor girl to watch the bunnies. I have all my clothes figured out for packing, just haven't actually put them in the bag yet. Decided to NOT buy a new suit, and suffer with the smallish/old one for this trip. I hate to spend $100 for a suit, when I won't be wearing it again until JULY!
NB has taken the kids out to Best Buy to purchase a new Xbox 360 game and then to the computer center to browse. I don't know WHAT they're browsing for though.
I'm home. Laundry needs doing, bunny review with the neighbor and then making chicken soup for dinner. Just a lazy day here. I'm planning on having the boys clean the whole downstairs tomorrow (not that I told them that...:rolleyes1) so that it's done before we leave.

So, T-minus 8 days and I'm there. Thank Goodness!

Me too! The difference in eyes is what does it! AH-HA! I've always wondered. :confused3

I'm fairly sure that's it for me. I still haven't got glasses for distance (just reading) but this year I could correct myself from what I read with my right eye when I read with the left instead. To be fair, I'm not sure about the "non-color" 3-D glasses, but the red/green or red/blue, then, I see much more out of the left eye and I think that's what does it. I can't really see the right colors on the screen, and it's all wonky. :lmao:

I'm both feeling very "spring-y" and happy, and very nervous that my heart will be broken in 2 weeks. You know, when (and I have no indication of this, really, but it's my luck) we'll get 3 feet of snow and then the temps will drop to 10. :rotfl2:

So, T-minus 8 days and I'm there. Thank Goodness!

Woohoo! :goodvibes
