Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Loving the trip report Mo! Was this ABD trip or something you booked on your own?

V- Hope Leo is feeling better:hug:

++++++++++++++++++++++

Morning:sad2: Yeah, nothing good about it. The Fleyrs lost:sad2: We were all cranky and tired this morning and no one wanted to get ready. It's gonna be a long dayOn top of that Jimmy has appointment this afternoon that I thought was NEXT monday. ACK. Can i just go back to bed and start over.:confused3

Oh well, not much else happening here. Hope you all have a great Monday:hug:

Mo I love how you describe the dump shops :rotfl2: Did you throw a penny into the trevi fountain and make a wish? Remember my wish from there came true :rotfl2:

V I hope Leo fully recovers soon

Mitch and I had a nice time of doing not much which was exactly what he needed. His leaving was terrible, but I'm ok now. My family seems to be acting extra nice to me. :thumbsup2 The baby is still scheduled for Thursday.

Morning:sad2: Yeah, nothing good about it. The Fleyrs lost:sad2:
Sorry............ :rotfl2: BTW what game is that?

Took my friend to the range this morning, she has decided to learn golf as her hubbie and both sons play and she figures she needs to too if she's ever going to see them :rotfl2: Anyway she thought David was wonderful as he got her hitting it nicely and the silly woman went and bought us a chocolate gift basket to say thanks! I told her off but they are yummy :rotfl2:

I then had to take Jess to the hospital re her knee and it was a total waste of time, he just told us what he said last time so what was the point? Plus we waited for an hour to be seen :sad2: 20 minutes was because we were early but!!!!

Tomorrow the golf course is closed so no golf for me :faint: I know what will I do? Tuesday is always golf day :rotfl: But I am playing on Wednesday, it's a course about an hour and a quarter away, not far from Dover (the white cliffs you may see on English programmes) so it's not all bad :goodvibes

After leaving the Basilica we walked through St Peter’s square to wait for it, wait for it...

The Vatican’s version of the dump shop.
:rotfl2:

LOVing the pics Mo! :thumbsup2

V, for Leo.
Thanks!

Well, Leo went to school, and no one called me to come get him so I assume it went okay. He'd done nothing more than rest on the couch for 4 days, so I was afraid a full day of school might be too much. :guilty:

I've got something exciting going on tomorrow. I don't know whether it'll be good or just okay, but it can't really be bad. Still, good thoughts will be appreciated, and I promise to tell all at a later date! :thumbsup2

Crazy busy at work. Have t oleave here and run to the grocery store, since neither of us wanted to go yesterday;) Luckily I don't need much and hopefully it won't be that crowded. Other than that it is just going to be a nice relaxing evening ::yes::

Enjoy:goodvibes:grouphug:

happy birthday t!!!!!!!
Thanks Mo! Great pics, too!
T, I hope you had a wonderful birthday. princess: I'm sorry but Norman is just funny. :rotfl:

*******************************************************

Good afternoon! So, I thought I'd be able to relax now that the parties and work are over...sadly I was wrong. Busy morning... Andy and I hit the trails this morning to get back to our training schedule. It hurt today to run, but I did it anyway and now I feel good. Then it was a grocery run. I'm finally able to sit for a few, but have to start homework and dinner soon.

I had a nice birthday. We lazed in the morning, then I went to Target and Old Navy all alone! That was heavenly! We decided to go to the movies and see The Prince of Persia. Sooo good! We all loved it! I love that type of adventure flick... kind of like Indiana Jones meets Clash of the Titans, but with enough silliness to keep the kids entertained. A little bloody, but we live in LA, so they're prepared. :lmao: Ordered some take out for dinner and watched the Lakers get beat by the stupid Celtics. Oh man, that game was killing me. Those refs must have money on Boston. 'Nuff said.

Hope everyone is doing well!

:hippie:

Hello Fockers!!!

ANGELA gave her new meds the ultimate test the other day. Everything went well with Mitch being home. She said they were all very nice.

I’m glad you did OK. Big Hug!

V says Leo starts summer camp this Thursday. However he was sick on Thursday again. Looks like he had the flu but he is better now.

I hope he is all better for summer camp. Good luck for you on whatever it is!

JO says that Ellie has some skin problems on her knuckles. She said you can’t golf without golf shoes. There was a bad shooting over there, 12 dead plus the shooter. She is ready to ship 2 certain girls over here to America if anyone will take them. Her golf team is in the next round of the playoffs.

You couldn’t pay me to take to teen girls.
Sorry about that shooting. It is very sad. I don’t get it either.
Congrats to the team, good luck with the next round.
To answer your question: The pastor just wanted to see how Doug was doing, say a prayer and tell him to be strong, so on and so on. He probably thanked him once again for the money we donated to help fix the church too.

SLATE is evidently having step-mommy issues.

HUG!

JANET was busy at work and glad the Flyers won. Her weekend was busy too: baseball, birthday party, camping, Blockbuster.

I’m glad the party was a hit. I hope the camping went well. Sounds like you are back at it today though.

MO posted her trip installments are at post #1370, #1396, #1398

Gorgeous stuff!!!! The room did look very clean and very American. The buildings are so beautiful.

CE wants to go to HI with her hubster. Can’t make it happen though. They will do a trip in November. She ended up at the going away party but there was wine! Her parents celebrated 43 years this past weekend.

Congratulations to your parents. That is awesome.
I’m glad you found wine.

TAZ is sick of one group of parents at the T-ball. Only one game left. Or maybe 2.

Take a deep breath and exhale slowly.

T is done with the census stuff. Waldo is 75 and they are having a ……..Taco party!
Let’s hope they get those last few questionnaires done without you! We don’t have a Taco guy, but I just found out that Columbus, Oh. has a pancake guy!

Happy Birthday! How’s it feel to be 25? (Wink, wink!)

I can't get any of the smilies or extras to work. Probably need to reboot.

The graduation was very nice. They lost a fellow graduate in a car accident about 6 months ago. There was a special grant given in his name. His parents accepted his diploma on his behalf. Plus they lost their principal to a heart attack just recently. Parts of the ceremony were very sad. It lasted about an hour. Doug and I sat in a disability area since he couldn't do the steps. (He twisted his weak ankle on Thursday.) I was able to get video of Rockie's daughter walking across the stage. But I was too far to get any good pictures.

I helped Rockie set up the food for the reception on Sunday. Then I helped keep it stalked. However, I had to leave for Indiana at 1PM. I wish I could have stayed to help her clean everything up.

It was beautiful here today so I got up early and mowed most of the yard. It felt good to be in the sunshine. I'm puttin' a little brown on.

Tomorrow is a full day of running around town - physical therapy, groceries, ordering boards for our deck and last but not least, picking up my MIL's dog. We get to watch him the next 3 days - JOY!. The first thing I do is give him a bath. She can't do it because he is too much for her. I put him in the doggie pool and scrub him down. Hey Mo! He's a pug. A big pug. I'll be sleeping in the basement because he snorts so much it keeps me awake. Max loves him, Nero hates him. It's beautiful when he's here at my house.

Have a good day!

Please pray for Judy she is in the hospital with a possible bleeding ulcer !! I was in Lake George and she didn't let me know how sick she was and waited till her friend was able to take her !! I feel awful that she had to suffer but she is soooooo stubborn !!! I will be MIA probably a bit until she is better !!

Good morning, everyone! :goodvibes

I don't remember when I posted last, but I have been reading along.

Angela, glad your family is being nice.

Rosie, many good thoughts heading Judy's way.

Mo, lovely pictures once again! :thumbsup2

V, glad Leo made it through yesterday. And good thoughts for whatever is going on.

Jo, sorry about no golf today.

T, I'm so glad your birthday was good!

Janet, glad you had a nice "alone" night on Saturday.

Kristel, congrats to Rockie's daughter, and hope things are going well.

**************************************************
We had a really nice visit with my parents. Saturday was baseball day and then we were under tornado watch, which was really odd for here (we're all used to it as midwesterners, but...) so we didn't go to the lake. Then, of course, it never even rained a drop. I guess a tornado did touch down north of us, though, so it's probably good. We got our pizza and watched a movie here.

Sunday was super rainy. We had a quiet morning, then went bowling and out to dinner.

Yesterday, D had to leave really early in the morning, then my parents and I got the kids on the bus and then went to the gardening center and spent my two years' worth of gift certificates, plus plenty more. They helped me clear my flower bed, move some plants, etc. and I have a lovely garden! We did get a lot of perennials, which I like as I don't have to do much. :thumbsup2

We picked the boys up from school and raced to the airport. They usually fly in and out of Indianapolis (closer and easier traffic than Chicago) but they actually had to go THROUGH Chicago on the flight yesterday, and got really delayed there. It's too bad their car was in Indy, because they truthfully could have driven home from Chicago and been home for about 3 hours before they even left for Indy.

The boys had their next-to-last baseball game last night, and it went MUCH better than last week, thankfully. Today I am playing a practice tennis with my partner in just 25 minutes (I need to go!) for the "real" match tomorrow night (my actual level team) and the boys will do karate after school. D is back tonight, but not until late.

Tomorrow is Field Day at school, so I'm there all day, then the tennis match... I'll be knackered. ;)

All right, I have to run, and scarily, I'm seeing town maintenance trucks possibly blocking my driveway (they are cutting trees near power lines), so I really need to see if I can leave. Have a great morning! I'll BBL. :grouphug:

Quick update Judy goes for the scope at 1pm to find out exactly what is causing her to throw up blood !!So hopefully will have more answers after that !!

Ugh... I hate Mondays. Well, look on the bright side... only 1 more school Monday to deal with.

Thanks goodness:eek:

Good Morning, yes this one was good:thumbsup2 Not too difficult getting everyone up and moving. NOTHING to do tonight, so JIm may take Jimmy to the library, but maybe nit. It all depends on how things are when he picks him up.

Ton of work today, but I will probably check back later. Have a great day everyone:hug:

Morning everyone. I have been reading but not posting the last couple of days. Ive been in a bit of a funky mood lately.

Mo- love the pics of Italy.

Rosie - hope the test on Judy comes back with good news:hug:

Janet - the Flyers will come back as long as they play better. That was a bad game.

Kristel - Glad you had fun at the graduation. Good luck with MIL's dog.

Jo - I hate wasting time at the hospital too. Hope you have fun on your golf free day.

+++++++++++++

Not much going on here. My daughter just found out that the one girl she works with quit. One of the other's filed a grievance and is not allowed to work until it's resolved. My DD will be getting the preferred shift back and OT. Guess who gets to work more hours with no pay and she doesn't understand why I'm not happy.

My computer is acting up so I am looking at buying a new one. I have decided to upgrade slightly. I am not buying the cheapest one out there. I am then getting this one overhauled and switching operating systems. I will then have a back-up.

T-ball is over and I can truthfully say I am happy. Down to the last game that little coven of witches was at it. You would think they would be smart enough to not say things in front of my girls. I did find out that they have a reputation for this as it has happened before. I have to face them one more time to hand out the photos and trophies and then I'm done. On a positive note my grandson is back to playing baseball and doing great. He scored the winning run when he stole home on Sunday. Since he has come back the team is winning again. I do feel bad for him though. If he had not broken his thumb he would have been on the All-Star team this weekend. I told him that the fact that the coaches were going to pick him is an honor in itself. I am so proud of that kid.

Not much else going on here. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning. Yesterday I took my grandmother to pick out some glasses for distance. She's 98 and only ever worn them for reading. I started wearing glasses in 6th grade. But anyway, she picked out Gucci and they are so sassy! White with a small vertical red stripe and a smaller blue stripe on the temples. :thumbsup2 Then we spent two hours in Target. :faint: My mother usually runs my grandmother's errands for her, so she hadn't been to Target in awhile. So we looked at everything. Guess who spent way more money than planned? :rolleyes1 Today we're planning on being in the pool and that's about it. :thumbsup2

Rosie, to Judy.

CE, your parents know how to stay an appropriate amount of time. ;)

Hi, Janet, V, and Kristel. :goodvibes

I've got something exciting going on tomorrow. I don't know whether it'll be good or just okay, but it can't really be bad. Still, good thoughts will be appreciated, and I promise to tell all at a later date! :thumbsup2
Good luck and sounds intriguing :goodvibes

Why is the course closed? Gophers? (Who gets the movie reference:lmao:)
Caddy Shack???? And no no gophers :rotfl2: It's closed as there's a competition on!

A little bloody, but we live in LA, so they're prepared. :lmao:

Good Morning, yes this one was good:thumbsup2
Yay!!!

I've spent about 4 hours tidying and cleaning, I can't believe it took that long :rotfl2: It has rained on and off so I'm pretty glad I didn't go to golf, nothing worse than getting wet!

I posted a competition that you can all enter on FB for a trip to WDW. There is a draw every week so go for it and hopefully loads of us will win and we can have a party :cool1:

Jo - I hate wasting time at the hospital too. Hope you have fun on your golf free day.
I've cleaned all day :rotfl2:

Guess who gets to work more hours with no pay and she doesn't understand why I'm not happy.
She doesn't pay you??? And she just expects you to have them longer??? Can you say something without upsetting her?

She doesn't pay you??? And she just expects you to have them longer??? Can you say something without upsetting her?

That sounds like fun. :lmao:

When she started working they barely had enough money for food after the bills were paid. He just got a HUGE raise, nearly doubled his salary, but she still needs to work as they bought a house last year that needs work. I get $20 a week for gas, she doesn't have access to a car so I am the driver. I also get to do my laundry at her house (it really is easier for me that way). I can't really talk to her because she is the helpless, I can't do anything type. I sometimes wonder how she manages to survive. She calls me to have me yell at her kids, they don't listen to her at all. I take at least one Disney trip a year just to get away and she calls me there. It actually is amusing. My DH and I were in WDW almost 2 years ago with the oldest grandson. I got a phone call from her because one of the kids fell and cut his head. It was my other DD's son. I told her to call his mother. She called me back it's really bleeding. I finally snapped and told her I was at least 3 hours and 1200 miles away, what did she want me to do.
I know I allow her to get away with this but she does get told that she needs to remember that I could just quit at anytime and then what would she do. I just get hurt by her sometimes. That was part of the reason for my mood. This week alone I have had to watch the kids, go home and then go back to pick her up from work, this was repeated today plus add pick up and take my DGD and a friend to school and this afternoon take the kids to my mom's so my grandson can get a haircut. He has sensory issues and my mom has figured out how to get around them. We give the dog a haircut too. :rotfl2: Then I'll take the kids home to their father, and get to pick my DD up at work again. Tomorrow is my day off but I have to take my DGD to dance. Thursday is the recital rehearsal so I get to drive to Trenton about an hour away and spend the night there. Friday I have the kids and then that night my sons birthday and a graduation party at the same time. I will be going to both somehow. Saturday my DGS has baseball and I have to take him and Sunday I have DGS's baseball, church and another party to go to.

Maybe I should show this to her so she realizes what my life really is like. Sorry for the long post but this is my life. Years of therapy and I still can't figure out how to change it. I told my therapist that she is my decompression chamber. It really is helpful to pay someone to listen to you so you can let some of the pressure out. I always think of the line from Steel Magnolias when Shirley MacLaine says, "I'm not crazy I've just been in a relly bad mood for forty years."

Thank you all for giving me the space to decompress today. It really did help writing this. I think it is why the t-ball parents really bothered me so much. All I want is a thank you once in awhile.

Thanks to all for the prayers and well wishes !! I will let you know later today if we have any news !!!

::yes:: When is the boys last day?

Next Friday. Tomorrow is Field Day, and next Thursday is "Read All Day" - and the last day is a half day. So, we're really only looking at 5 days of instruction, but 7 more total. They are still having spelling tests, math timings, etc., though, so I do think they are still getting some work done. :thumbsup2

Ton of work today, but I will probably check back later. Have a great day everyone:hug:

You, too.

Morning everyone. I have been reading but not posting the last couple of days. Ive been in a bit of a funky mood lately.

And congrats to your GS for the all-star thing.

CE, your parents know how to stay an appropriate amount of time. ;)

True, but I actually was sad to see them go. If it were MILs... ;)

I'm glad you're having fun with your grandma. :goodvibes

I've spent about 4 hours tidying and cleaning, I can't believe it took that long :rotfl2: It has rained on and off so I'm pretty glad I didn't go to golf, nothing worse than getting wet!

I'm glad it worked out well! :)

Maybe I should show this to her so she realizes what my life really is like.

::yes:: It might be a good idea. Likely you're so efficient and good at it that she doesn't know how much you're doing.

Thanks to all for the prayers and well wishes !! I will let you know later today if we have any news !!!

We'll be waiting, Rosie.

Tennis was good - and very good practice. My guess is that our opponents (it's the team we always beat in the winter league, though there are a few different players) will not be as good as the two from our team that we practiced against, and we came back to win the practice match. :thumbsup2

Then I went to Target because I had an Rx to pick up, and now I'm going to enjoy the afternoon ALL ALONE! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: I'll be out all day tomorrow, then D's home the end of the week, so... I need to shower before the boys go to karate, but that's about it.
