Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas.

We went to my in-laws Christmas Eve and it is the first time in 29 years I enjoyed myself. I actually felt welcome.

I went to see my parents early because my kids were all coming over to my house for dinner. I gave my mom a gravy ladle for a gift and a really pretty tea set, she loves tea and putting on airs. If you have ever seen the show Keeping up Appearances she is the perfect Hyacinth. :lmao: She was happy with the gift so I did good.

The grandkids were all happy with the gifts and Santa brought a few for my house so they have things to play with when here. I gave Jay some Axe body wash and he acted offended but was actually happy. He likes girls now. The little ones helped me open my gifts except for one. When my car was broken into they got my I-Pod and I really miss it. Jim bought me a new I-Pod Touch. My daughters whatever he is has it as we speak and is uploading my tunes into it for me. I told him not to buy me one but I love it. Then I looked at the popcorn machine I bought him. He was happy though.

As Janet said we are getting snow today. The latest projections are calling for 12 inches but it can go as high as 18 or more depending on the storm. A 10 mile twist to the west and we are getting higher amounts. I had enough snow last year, I don't want anymore. Since my other daughter's fiancee makes good money during the storms and he is out of work until the spring I am happy for them.

My daughter also gave me some good news last night. It isn't definite but we may have free airfare for our trip this summer. Her fiancee's brother has 60,000 frequent flyers miles that he will never be able to use so he is going to see if he can use it for tickets for all of us. I am hoping he can because that is a lot of money saved. Even if I have to pay for one bag coming home it saves us money.

Well enjoy whats left of your holidays.

Have been sick for 2 days !!!:scared1:Just read OUR Poem !!Loved it !! Now if only we could publish THE LIST!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas !!!

Hey all! :wave2: Glad to se that those who have checked in had a good Christmas. Rosie - hope you are feeling better.

I'm tired and bored. Got up early becasue of the weather so I could get into work. I got heer in 1/2 hour. Have to work at Mcy's until 9:30 tongiht.

I am annoyed too. Becaue fo the storm they cancelled the Eagle game (Whet football players are too delicate topplay in the snow:confused3). Anyway , becasueof that they cancelled the 7pm show of Disney on Ic e tomorrow:headache: What, are they afraid the 7 year oldsare going to tailgate:confused3 We can pick any of the performances to go to but we can't go to any of the otheres becasue that was the show that fit into our schedule:headache: Now thay have added an 11am tomorrow show. Luckily I have an understanding boss, and he letting me take extra time for lunch so I can go:thumbsup2.

Happy Monday:goodvibes

I was upset about the game being canceled too. I think it had more to do with the snowball incident a few years ago. Even the governor, who I never agree with, was upset about it.

Glad you can fit a different show into your schedule. I have tix for the wednesday night show.

Merry Belated Christmas!

Overall it was a good Christmas here. I worked like crazy and had a cold so when I finally went to bed yesterday after being awake for nearly 2 days I slept for 18 hours!

The actual Christmas part of Christmas was good. We opened presents on Christmas Eve because of my wonky work schedule and then had Christmas dinner on Christmas Day between my shifts.

Erich got Donkey Kong and Epic Mickey for the Wii, those will be fun to play and I got money to buy a new camera (they know better than the pick one out for me ;)). I ended up buying the Canon D10 which is a waterproof camera. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone, we got home safe and sound yesterday and we had a lovely holiday. It was flipping freezing though, between -3 and -8 the whole time  I'm glad I packed my scarf and hat but wish we'd taken thermals :rotfl:

We did loads of stuff from archery to pool, swimming to badminton oh and I got a bullseye in archery and David didn't :yay: he wasn't happy :rotfl: We went to David's family on the 23rd as it was his sisters Birthday, it was fine and MIL gave D 2 candlesticks that he had won in golf comps when he was little. Well OMG you should see them they're both tarnished and marked and 1 still has a ton of wax in the bottom where she's obviously used them :rotfl2: If you were going to return them wouldn't you at least polish and clean them? :rotfl:

I did read but am too lazy to quote

Kristel - I hope Doug is doing better and you had a nice Christmas

Rosie - Get better soon

Janet - OMG about the bus and don't over work yourself

T - You're too funny with gluing the legos :rotfl:

V - Keep warm!!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hey all! Saw Toy Story 3 on Ice. It was great, JImmy had a ball. THe best part..for our "inconvenience" of the show we originally supposed to got to being cancelled, they upgraded us to club box seats. Tables, chairs and waitress service:woohoo: No sitting with the common folk for us :snooty::lmao:

We had to got the 11am show, as that is the only one that we could get too with my work schedule and family plans for the rest of the week, so I went on my lunch hour and then JIm dropped me back at work afterward. Shhhhhh! Don't tell. TE THAT MEANS YOU;)

THe boys were playing Wii, bowling and golf. Jim was not happy becasue he only beat Jimmy by 2 strokes. They were both plus though, Jo:rotfl2: Now Jimmy wants Jim to take him to the driving range. :rotfl:

Jim is now watching the Eagels game and Jimmy is playing Transformers before heading up to bed. I have a load of luandry in and then I am heading to bed too.

Hope you are all having a great night:hug:

Hey, there!

Things are going well here - our supposed "blizzard" only dropped about 6 inches of snow. It WAS windier than usual here, but that's about it - and it doesn't compare to Midwest winds, so whatever. :snooty: :rotfl2:

My parents drove through to beat the storm, so they've been here for a couple of days. D took the kids skiing on Sunday, and so they were out when my parents showed up, which was good as them my parents got some sleep before the kids showed up to demand all their attention. Some of you have seen Woody's picture from that ski day - the face plant accident from heck. He told me "I look cool!" but not so much... ;)

Mom, Dad & I went shopping today - Dad had gotten Mom some stuff that she needed to return. I don't know that D & the boys did much but play around in the snow, but it all worked out.

D & I have a tennis class tomorrow, and Buzz has a playdate. Woody's in a mood tonight - just overall tiredness and let down, I think - but I hope he has some nice "alone time" with my parents tomorrow morning, then.

We have no big plans as of yet for the New Year stuff - which is fine with me. I've had a cold and wouldn't mind a quiet weekend. I think my parents will leave again on Saturday or so.

Have a good one!

Have you played yet? How is it?

I've only played it for about 30 minutes so far. It is fun but I had a hard time because I am not used to playing 3-D games where the camera angle changes all the time. Erich has no problem with it as he plays on the Wii and Playstation a lot more than I do. The concept is really neat especially for Disney fans who will pick up on the details.

It was weird here. Parts of the city got a foot or more and other parts (like where I live, got les than 8 inches:confused3

Glad your parents made is safely. Missed the pic, will have to go back and look

Us either. I am working on Saturday, though!

Cool. Will have to add it to the wish list of games:thumbsup2

Morning all! Kind of slow at work this week, which is good. I am getting a chance to clean my office and shred stuff that needs to be shredded.

Working at Macy's tonight and then tomorrow here, but we will be getting out early so I will be seeing my dad:thumbsup2

Have a great one:goodvibes

Good Morning, ladies! :goodvibes

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas! Sounds like it. :goodvibes

Been busy with the kids and their goodies. Evan's driving me batty wanting to build all the Lego stuff he got for xmas. :faint:

We are having a blast with the Kinect and Dance Party - that game is a SERIOUS work-out! I don't know how we went dancing all weekend when we were younger, but 2 dances and I'm SHOT! I guess the key word there was "younger". Maddie could dance for hours! :lmao:

No plans for NYE's really. We're going out to an early dinner and then probably come home and play games all night. Evan's determined to make it past 11pm, this year. :rotfl2:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Janet - Maddie got Epic Mickey for xmas, she loves it! It's really cool, as I guess parts of it are in Disneyland. I know IASW is in there.

CE - Oh I saw Woody's face on FB. Poor guy!

Jo - Sounds like a fun holiday. That's too funny about D's gift though. I wonder what she was thinking. :confused3

Ack! I know I'm missing tons, but I've got to run. Our washer died this week and it's replacement is due any minute and I need to move some things in the garage.

BBL! :hippie:

Christmas this year was much different than usual, but much better than I expected, and no stress! We hung out at the beach for about two hours as the weather was nicer than we expected. Then had lunch on the intercoastal. I might have even gotten a bit of a tan. :goodvibes Then the next day it was freezing.

No plans for New Year's which is fine. I'll be safely drinking at home. :thumbsup2

Janet, how long will you be working at Macy's?

Merry Belated Christmas and almost Happy New Year!

TE- I love the Christmas poem. It's a tru TFW tradition!

I've spent the last week+ in bed with the stomach flu. It's been a terrible bug, but no one else got it! :cool1:

I'm working on our WDW plans for this coming year. This year we went in early Nov. We are thinking of pushing it out a titch more... but I'm on the fence if we should be there for Thanksgiving. We were there a few years ago on Thanksgiving and then the week after and I felt that it put a big bite in my Christmas planning. I felt very rushed over the Holidays. :confused3

I hope everyone had a great Holiday and recieved a little something special from those who love them.

Let's play a show and tell!

What did {Santa} bring you this year? Post a picture, link or explain it. Come one, Come all Fockers...
