I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas.
We went to my in-laws Christmas Eve and it is the first time in 29 years I enjoyed myself. I actually felt welcome.
I went to see my parents early because my kids were all coming over to my house for dinner. I gave my mom a gravy ladle for a gift and a really pretty tea set, she loves tea and putting on airs. If you have ever seen the show Keeping up Appearances she is the perfect Hyacinth.
She was happy with the gift so I did good.
The grandkids were all happy with the gifts and Santa brought a few for my house so they have things to play with when here. I gave Jay some Axe body wash and he acted offended but was actually happy. He likes girls now. The little ones helped me open my gifts except for one. When my car was broken into they got my I-Pod and I really miss it. Jim bought me a new I-Pod Touch. My daughters whatever he is has it as we speak and is uploading my tunes into it for me. I told him not to buy me one but I love it. Then I looked at the popcorn machine I bought him. He was happy though.
As Janet said we are getting snow today. The latest projections are calling for 12 inches but it can go as high as 18 or more depending on the storm. A 10 mile twist to the west and we are getting higher amounts. I had enough snow last year, I don't want anymore. Since my other daughter's fiancee makes good money during the storms and he is out of work until the spring I am happy for them.
My daughter also gave me some good news last night. It isn't definite but we may have free airfare for our trip this summer. Her fiancee's brother has 60,000 frequent flyers miles that he will never be able to use so he is going to see if he can use it for tickets for all of us. I am hoping he can because that is a lot of money saved. Even if I have to pay for one bag coming home it saves us money.
Well enjoy whats left of your holidays.
