Happy Halloween!

We have had a slow trick & treat night. So far we have had 64 kids and lights are out in 10 minutes! Our norm is close to 100. It's 41* out, with that and a school night, I think that is the reason.

I just heard that a "friend" is having a party tonight. I wasn't invited. Oh well! I'm kind of over the high school cliche neighborhood. I really hope we get to move. FAR AWAY FROM HERE!

We had a slow night as well. I'm stuck with about 3/4 of a bowl of yummy chocolates. Darn.

WE had 300 and that is slow for us Usually I go through 400-500 pieces of candy, but we cut back this year.

It's cold and it was still dark when we left this morning. Winter is coming Not much on going on here today. Work and school.

Tomorrow is election day (Thank goodness, that mean they will stop running those god awful ads). Becasue of that Jim has professional development and Jimmy will go to his before/after school care for the whole day. They are taking them to Bounce U (A place with a bunch of Moon bounces, slides, etc). He has an OT appointment at 4:45 and then basketball signups at 6:30 THat's just signups, though so we shouldn't be there too long *fingers-crossed*

That stinks. I think we missed an invite also but I was very happy not to have a party to go to.

That's a LOT of candy. I gave out 4 pieces and I took them from my MNSSHP treats, stuff I won't eat - RAISINS! Yuck.

I haven't checked my grandkids stash for any good stuff yet. I love Butterfingers and Almond Joys which they aren't to fond of thankfully.

The schools are closed tomorrow? My DD never tells me anything.

Hope everyone had a good Halloween. I went out with my daughter because she can't handle the 3 kids alone. Mikey kept running ahead yelling "Look out" to everyone and then yelled "Happy Halloween". He was really funny to watch. Ella passed out on the last block. My knee is swollen and really hurting today. As much as I don't want the surgery I don't think I can avoid it.

I have been trying to get my photopass pics edited from my trip. Some of the special effects aren't showing up but when I called they assured me that they are there. I am going to get pics of Jim and I looking scared at nothing, I don't trust them.

If I can ever figure out how to make my computer upload pics I will post a few. No one ever reads my TR's so I am not doing one. Other than that not much else going on here. Have a good day all.

I'm glad you all had a great Halloween, it was fantastic here as the bulb has blown in our outside light (so it wasn't on) so we only got 2 groups of kids and 1 of those had Ellie in it

As most of you have read we had a scary night with Boo. She was foaming at the mouth, twitching, racing round, tail all puffy, weeing on the floor, looking like she was going to keel over Anyway we took her to the emergency vet and he sorted her out, they don't know what it was but think maybe she licked either a toad or toadstools but that alone cost £300 ($450) plus we have the bill from her care today Last night David said we really should buy each other Christmas presents this year, looks like our present is a well cat

You also probably saw that David had a hole in one at golf yesterday

His ME tags never came. I read somewhere that he should just go to the ME counter and check in, give them his luggage numbers. Is that right? Anyone ever done this?

Yes, Jen. Mine didn't show until the day before we left and they said we'd just need to go to the counter before the busses with our luggage tags.

Boo is home, she has a big bandage on her leg as she still has the canular (sp?) in so she's walking funny bless her but she has eaten and done her business I have to take her back tomorrow to have it removed!

Evening all I have been sooo busy and tired and Depressed !!! First the trip went well but was VERY tring , then I have sooooo much work to do with End of month and a stack of mail that never ends !!Add to that balancing 12 accounts for the consumers spending on the trip and it is Headache City !!The final straw was when I called my EX to ask if he knew when that retirement money would start !! He has n't filed cuz he is still collecting unemployment andf told me it was none of my business !! I am fuming , but there is nothing I can do !!!Last night I was soooo upset but today I am just mad and as Judy says just deal Mom just deal!!!!! Some TLC from you guys will help though !!!

We had a lovely Halloween, and more of my candy got taken than usual. Because we drink-or-treat as a pack with beer in wagons we just leave a bucket of candy on the stoop, so I don't know if we had more kids, or if a few people just took a LOT, but either way, thank goodness.

The boys had a ball.

I cleaned and cleaned on Saturday - since we're gone, and since my parents are both coming for a while, we are having someone sleep in our room rather than relegating someone to the uncomfortable sofa bed in the office, which isn't typical. My room tends to be the least maintained of the house, since usually NO ONE goes in there. The house is looking very nice, now, but I still have some work to do - particularly in the office, where I have my book fair stuff everywhere.

Then, I haven't packed (look away, T!) and I'm still trying to get a bunch of book fair stuff done this week. I just spent an hour collating and separating by classroom the "first wave" of student packets going out. But, it's done! And I went to Target and bought sunscreen, which felt good on this 40 degree day!

I have written a book of instructions for the grandmas about how to deal with the kids, the timing of mornings, evenings, karate nights, etc., etc. and keep thinking of more to add. I have to say, it reminds me of how much I actually DO, which is nice to see every once in a while.

D is gone tonight into tomorrow evening. I have a tennis drill in the morning, but then I will go to school to distribute this stuff I just did, and can work some more here.

Hope you've all had a decent start to the week! Know that I am reading and sympathizing/being interested - I just may not have time to respond!

You should be able to give them the luggage claim tickets and they will go get them.

We have Ot and basketball signups and in between those two we have to go vote. Jimmy always vots with me

Janet, we go on Friday. Mom arrives Thursday. D's mom doesn't get here until Friday after we're gone, and she's leaving the day before we come back. Oh, well.

I had tennis drills this morning, came home and did some mailing I needed to do (printer issues made that take WAY too long.) Now, I have showered and am running out to my co-chair's house to drop stuff that she needs to do NEXT week, then to vote, then to school for the things that go out tomorrow, then the gas station, then, apparently my new glasses came in really fast, then maybe the grocery store. I have a feeling the groceries are going to have to wait until karate, but who knows?

I am surprised my kids have school today - the three elementary schools in town ARE the voting places, but they did. My kids actually had a field trip, but that's only the one grade.

Got all my stuff done! I even did it all before school got out. I still have plenty to do here at home, but I did get the outside errands all run, so woohoo!

The kids had a field trip to a planetarium today. They both came home last night saying that they could take money for a gift shop. I had no cash (I run nearly solely on my debit card as a rule - I'm not charging my life away ) but they each had their own money in their wallets.

Buzz put his wallet in his backpack last night, but Woody's was in the car. I told him to get it, but I guess he didn't. Then, I wound up driving them to school anyway this morning, so he could have grabbed it easily, but he forgot. So, he's all upset because Buzz bought something and he didn't get to, plus a few other things, so he was in a horrible mood when they got home. I did feel bad for him - it's genuinely sucky, but it didn't need to be tragic. Yet, he cried for 45 minutes... Things seem to be better now, after karate and dinner, thank goodness, but it was one of those days - and after all my running around, I just didn't have the will to deal. Sigh. D is on the ground, but says he has to stay at the office and do some expenses and such before we're gone for a week, so I don't expect him in time for the kids to see him tonight.

In fact, I need to get some kid-tending done, so I'll sign off again for now. Hope you all have a good night!

I sort of ripped on someone on the TR board, and I am hoping she didn't make up a new alias name and post this bogus TR. I should believe "all DIS Members" are truthful and would never make up a TR. I thought about it all nite, and then thought this morning, dang, the writing style is so much like Leesa.

So, I thought if she would be any where, she would be posting on this thread. Good Lord, I hope it isn't her.
