I just woke up from my nap... ;) I got up at 3:15, showered, and headed to Kohls. We got everything we needed and got out of there at 4:40. We headed to the outlet mall to returen shoes and hit up the McD's that was open. Then we went back to Target and waited for 40 mins in the drizzle for it to open. We got everything we needed there too. :thumbsup2
Then we went to Gamestop to get stuff and headed home for a nap by 7:45.
OMG not another one :faint:Glad you got everything :goodvibes

No school for the kids today? I'm a horrid momma and I'm making mine work. When I was asked why, I kindly reminded them of the week we took off in August to go to Disney, and the week we took off in October to go to Disney. I haven't heard a complaint since. :thumbsup2
:rotfl2:

I don't know how Angela's DH makes them .. But I use leftover Mashed Potatoes, add in some flour and seasoning... and fry them in a skillet till they are lightly brown on both sides.
We call them potato cakes :thumbsup2

DAVID...I'm shocked, just shocked:eek:

:rotfl2:
Really? :rotfl2:

Jo... just so ya know... IT's NOT USUALLY A GOOD DAY.. when your "KNOCKERS" Fall off :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I know :rotfl2:

It could be worse; it could have been her knockers and her knickers! :rotfl2:
True :rotfl2:

WTH is tetrazzinni????

Turkey Tetrazzini

Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles, spaghetti, linguini or other pasta
  • 12 ounces mushrooms, sliced (about 4-5 cups)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry, vermouth, or dry white wine
  • 3 cups coarsely chopped cooked turkey
  • 1 cup cooked peas
  • 2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1/3 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/3 cup fine fresh bread crumbs
  • Salt and Pepper
Method

1 Cook the pasta according to the package directions, al dente; drain well and set aside. After you've started with the pasta, proceed to the next steps.
2 Preheat oven to 375°F.
3 Cook the mushrooms in 3 Tbsp of the butter over moderate heat, stirring, until all of the liquid they give off has evaporated, about 10 minutes. Set aside.
4 In a large, heavy saucepan, melt 1/4 cup of butter. Stir in the flour, and cook the mixture over low heat, stirring, for 3 minutes.
5 Gradually stir in the milk, cream, broth, and the wine or sherry. Bring to a simmer and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes.
6 In a large bowl combine well the pasta, the sauce, the mushrooms, the turkey, the peas, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir in 1/3 cup of the Parmesan and the 1/3 cup of Swiss cheese, and transfer the mixture to a buttered shallow 3-quart casserole.
7 In a small bowl combine well the remaining 1/3 cup Parmesan, the bread crumbs, and salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle the mixture evenly over the Tetrazzini, and dot the top with the remaining 1 tablespoon butter, cut into bits.
8 Bake the Tetrazzini in the middle rack of the oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until it is bubbling and the top is golden.
Serves 4 to 6.

This just opened up here it is an art museum, it is ugly :crazy2: (YUCK) and does not fit in down town architecture. It's like aliens built this, and ploped it down town.

I had not heard. THAT IS AWFUL. 2 years ago.. we had a Brawl at our Best Buy... it made the national News. One guy was Pummeling another guy as shoppers were ALL crashing through the doors . And security guards were doing NOTHING.

Thanks to S'late... and Mr S'late  Just Kidding
for fixing up these lists

NOW NO PEEKING S'late at DH's Lists :rotfl2:

It PLAYED OUT A LITTLE LIKE THIS......

And it was heard to say as it leaped to it's freedom.... "Noooooo
No more 1 step meals... I'm bored... my circuits have no meaning... good bye cruel world... "

Or maybe the story played out a little more like ... "A Christmas Story"
Janet was in the next room and she heard this horrific crash coming from the kitchen. As she rushed into the room Jim was there.. holding the broken crock pot...

"I don't know what happened.. I was getting something out of the Freezer.. and somehow... I Broke your Crock Pot" said Jim in a over dramatic sad tone.

Janet Snaps... "You did this on Purpose.. You are sick and tired of Crockpot meals...You know how much I loved this Crock Pot.. It must be fixable... where is the Crazy Glue and Electrical Tape ?"

We are all out... Said Jim apologetically

"YOU USED IT ALL UP ON PURPOSE... NOT A FINGER !!!....exclamined Janet as she left for the local hardware store

After a failed attempt to put her beloved Crock Pot back together.. she lovingly caressed it one more time... and Buried it in the back yard.. next to the cookbook that was given as a wedding present.. hidden so that NO MORTAL MAN would ever find.
A neighbor.. reported that she thought she heard Taps being gently played.. at about the same time as all of this took place.

After Janet had completed the sad task of saying goodbye to her beloved friend... she came in the house ... added a Crock Pot to her Black Friday.. shopping list and proclaimed..

"All Right.. let's all go out to eat

OMG Janet! I'm so sorry! No wonder you were trying to text me! Where oh where was I in your moment of grief! :guilty:
We should erect a crock pot memorial in memory of your beloved crockpot..........don't we have a monument builder somewhere??/ Who is that???

Hello Fockers!

Turkey day was a BUST. we ate off paper plates (i almost took a picture just to prove it) and ate barely any food. I came home hungry. all we did was watch kc fix all the broken computers, hear his mom complain about cooking and listen to his parents argue. his dad being out of work is wearing them both down. KC's brother showed up (he hadn't seen the parents in years) only because his girlfriend is sick and there was no food there! Even KC left feeling like we need a do over!

So I am heading to the grocery store today for some things to make a small turkey day do over tomorrow! Needless to say we are officially done with the holidays as far as his parents are concerned. it was madness. we offered to help and she just complianed, plus we paid them for the food since "times are hard". whatever.

Christmas is either them saying yes to our invitation to come with to Long Island or us never asking again. We both give up. I will not do this to myself again!

So it's off to the store for me (no real shopping) and then KC is off to see an ex friend (who was a problem for us early in our relationship) to see if things will be different. Who knows. But I should be around!

Hope you all had better turkey days than me!

Thanks, you really are the queen of recipes :thumbsup2

Wooohoooo you did it :goodvibes

I've been searching for Sunday School ideas, even though it's for the Sunday I'm in WDW I stupidly said I'd still plan it :sad2: So anyone know of any easy peasy Christmas ideas for 3-6 year olds that I can put together with no trouble? :rotfl2: I've already got an angel that you cut out and make it stand up, an empty ornament for them to write what they want or what to give Jesus for Christmas and a colour in box to go on the tree!

It's an Eyesore. We actually do have some things of value here.. bad as I hate to say it.. Locomotives... that actually COULD be a tourism draw. But
we got some rich people that ponied up Millions so this THING could be Built.

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great Turkey day!

Kat:

Jo:  for your loss and Congrats on being an Auntie. :cloud9:

Hey, S'late - what were the rules on Secret Santa/Ornament exchange? I can't remember if there even were any.

Sorry, I literally read just this page - I'm sooo tired.

Janet was right - DUDES, Walmart was SKERRRRRRY! The people were like wild beasts! Rude, pushy, and demanding! I'll never to that again.

We befriended a lady in line with her 6 month old baby - I was afraid to let her meander the aisles with that itty bitty baby and those nutsy people. Her "man" sent her to Walmart in search of an XBox, whilst he slept at home with the other kids. Nice.

Baby, it's cold outside!!! I'd guess 60's at least. :cold:

Have a good day, everyone! :flower3:
