Time to take the pumpkin pies out of the oven. Once DH gets home we'll be tackling the ceiling/floor issue...trying to decide if we should attack from above or below...(I'd rather put in a new floor than try to put up a new ceiling, but who knows what we'll find.)

Anyway, if I'm not back, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And Jo, enjoy your Thursday :rotfl2: You are all great people, and I am thankful to know each and every one of you.

I had to share though, Jimmy came home from school all excited becasue he got pick something from the teachers "prize box". When I asked him why he told me it was becasue he got up infront of the class and told everyone about his science project. Because it was not mandatory, only Jimmy and one other kid in the class did one. (It isn't mandatory K-3, but once he its 4th grade it will be mandatory!). I was so happy:yay:
That's fantastic!

Our bathroom is directly above the kitchen. Seems the shower has a cracked pipe...or something. :confused3 Looks like I'll be spending Thanksgiving tearing up my bathroom floor. :headache:
Oh no, have you cut the water off?

Last week my friend with ALS attempted suicide. I am so angry at her. And I am so sad for her.
My friend hung herself 2 years ago, I'm still cross at her :mad:

JO-any luck finding shoes for your WDW trip??
Bought some today :thumbsup2 They're skechers and comfy but a bit smarter than sneakers!

I took BabyGirl to the ENT yesterday and she is going to have to have surgery. No surprise there. They recommended last Jan to have her tonsils and adenoids removed, but we wanted to wait because she had just turned 3. Now they have to remove one of her tubes and the ENT said her tonsils look even worse. Might as well get it all done in 1 go. They called to schedule the surgery today, but I missed the call. They want to do it on Dec 4, but Mr Diz is having his hernia surgery on Dec 5. I'm going to try to get her surgery the following week.
Oh no, hope they can book it when you want :hug:

And Jo, enjoy your Thursday :rotfl2:
Thanks :rotfl2:

:worship: :worship: GO JIMMY GO JIMMY GO GO GO JIMMY!!:worship: :worship:

It's kind of weird, isn't it? A bunch of people who have come to one place out of devotion to a mouse have managed to become a really powerful support system for each other. Life is crazy, and super unpredictable, and I, for one, think it's fantastic that we can come here to share the good and the bad.
:grouphug: :grouphug:

Yeah, what Kate said! :goodvibes

So DH and I were sitting on the couch last night when I heard a strange noise in the kitchen. It was like a ticking noise. He dishwasher has been acting funky, so I got up to see what was going on. It was water dripping from the ceiling :scared1: Our bathroom is directly above the kitchen. Seems the shower has a cracked pipe...or something. :confused3 Looks like I'll be spending Thanksgiving tearing up my bathroom floor. :headache:

Oh, NO! Poor Kate! Good luck!

Mel~ I am glad your eye pressure is down. That is one fast moving Doc:eek:

Thanks Mrs. The King. He's like lightning!

Last week my friend with ALS attempted suicide. I am so angry at her. And I am so sad for her. She was texting me the night before and had mentioned it, but I did not think she was serious. She tricked a caregiver into opening her pills for her and took them when no one was looking. After 2 days in ICU and one in the regular room she came home. I feel like I have not processed it yet. I almost don't want to. Is that selfish of me? Just to put it all on the back burner?

Sorry to vent. I hope everyone has an amazing Turkey day.

Sorry to hear about your friend! That is so sad. It's not selfish of you at all. I'd say it's perfectly normal to feel that way. And we're here for you!

Mel-:hug: glad the pressure is down and the stitch is out.

Thanks! Happy Turkey Day! :goodvibes

HI Fockers, that's right 3 days in a row,;)

WHOA! GO MO!

Happy Turkey Day Fockers!!!!!!!

You too, Mo. Have a great Thanksgiving. Kiss the boys! (furry ones!)

Yikes, Mary! Poor BabyGirl. We'll be thinking happy thoughts for Mr. Diz!

Pictures and curtains should be hung to night so I will post pics after that is done!:thumbsup2

Finally! Ha, kidding, Janet! Can't wait to see it.

Ah, again, What Kate Said! I am so glad I have my Fockers!

Home from Kroger! What a Mad House! Omg! We got our cookie supplies and other assorted things. I am so glad to be done with that. It was packed. Gus is doing some homework and SD just played 3 games of cribbage with my mom. MIL is crocheting.

We are going to bake cookies (pkg dough, thanks gals!) and then we'll have dinner which is going to be chicken roll-ups (tortilla, lettuce tomato dressing) and that should be pretty easy.

Bob's going to call in an hour or two! yay!!!!!!!

Have a good day girls. (and mr. t)

MEL:banana:

:hug: Rach.
Have a good day, all. I'm off to my last day at my current company.

thanks and good luck at your new job!

:hug: :hug: :hug: for Rachel.
thanks slate
:
I know what you mean about DH being gone during the week. Mitch was working here for about 6 months while I was still in Memphis and it was awful. And I only had to worry about myself. :hug:

That will be a nice vacation before you start your new job. :goodvibes How strange that your boss wouldn't work with you. I know a lot of hospitals that have two 12 hour weekend shifts. Seems like it would be easier scheduling on their part, but who knows?
thanks! i'll get through, it will def be worth it in the end.

i think my boss just likes to be difficult.

It is tough when our Hubby's are gone.Lately if Scott leaves for even one night.. Sarabeth goes NUTS... crying.. sending sad faces to her Dad over the phone. Making and drawing things for her Daddy to greet him WHEN HE DOES GET HOME. :sad2: And she HAS TO SLEEP WITH ME... :sad2:

So how can I go away and leave her... she will totally lose it. I am TRAPPED.

Sorry about that Work "Crape' " Your Boss sounds So Pleasant. I would have thought Weekends most people would want to avoid :confused3

Kiddo's get home at 12:30 and 1:30 today.. so I had better get to my house stuff pretty soon.

thanks katt. :hug: does joshua have any trouble with it?? regan is very emotional, which makes it harder.

Morning. I have no idea why I'm up this early on a morning that I don't work...but I really couldn't sleep. Jon was up and down last night, hurting. Blech.

:hug: all around.

:wave: Have fun Jen!

Hope everyone has a wonderful, happy, HEALTHY, Thanksgiving Eve!

hi jen!! :hug:

Oh, Rachel. :hug: I wish I knew what to say to help because I'm struggling too. Bob is in Japan and he's going to be there for another 9 days. It doesn't really get easier, but you learn to focus on the day at hand and not think about how many are left...
I'm glad you're getting out that place. You have enough to do and worry about. And you don't have to thank us. We love you.

MEL:banana:

thank you mel! :goodvibes :hug:

i'm glad to hear bob is doing well.

Deb- :hug: :hug: :hug: I can't imagine how you are feeling right now.

Thanks for the compliments on the pics. :goodvibes
~~~~~~~~~~~~
We just got home from getting B contacts. So much drama. I finally put them in for her... :sad2: I'm going to chill now. That was stressful. :rolleyes:
Rachel good for you giving in your notice, you deserve some time off before your next one starts :hug:
thanks jo!! i think i deserve the holidays off too!!:goodvibes
it is hard!! i can't imagine how you do it over and over. :hug:
i would go insane!! happy thanksgiving!
We went to look at at house for sale this morning. 3 acres, 4 bedrooms, unfinished basement, 2 car garage, florida room, brick patio, AND A DECK... but it does not meet the bedroom sizes. :headache: It's vacant too :headache: :headache:
how small are the bedrooms??? is it a good deal??
Happy Turkey Day Fockers!!!!!!!
So I am procrastinating big time. I don't really wanna cook anything, esp. knowing KC isn't gonna be home until late tonight. Urgh. Can ya tell I dont wanna go to the inlaws???
On the plus side some of the stuff I got for KC came today! Now I have to stash it in the closet!
I'll probably be back in between cooking!
thanks katt. :hug: does Joshua have any trouble with it?? regan is very emotional, which makes it harder.
Joshua seems fine with it.But I can tell it throws off his attitude,, because there is a CHANGE.
how small are the bedrooms??? is it a good deal??
Well Yes it's a pretty good deal. Being vacant helps to motivate. Been trying to sell it since June. We LOVE to buy Vacant home for this very reason. You can usually go in and begin to re-paint and clean.. BEFORE you actually MOVE IN. :thumbsup2
Bedrooms are almost the same size for the kids and I need bigger.....
Master bedroom is a good bit smaller that what we have. Dining room is also not existent.. .
I'll see if I can upload the house link for you guys to see it.
Price is $385,000 down from their original price of $450,000
Good evening all. Waiting for Jim to bring home our traditional day before Thanksgiving dinner--cheesesteaks:lmao:
Got out of work at 2:45 and didn't get to the grocery store until 3:30:headache: . Traffic was AWFUL! GOt the 6 things I needed and did self checkout so that I wasn't too bad! PIcked Jimmy up at school and ceme home. THe dishwasher is running cleaning all the dishes and silverware for tomorrow. After Jimmy is in bed we will put the leaves on the table, etc. This buying premade dinner makes things so much easier. If it tastes good I will be doing this every year ::yes::
Rachel - if I din't send Christmas cards to my family I'd never hear the end of it:scared:
Katt - Is the house in the school district you want Sarabeth to go too?
Dawn - Hugs to B:hug: . I will never get contacts. The thought of sticking something in my eyes makes me :scared1:
Been baking and mashing all day. I am about to plop on the couch with a bowl of mac and cheese and vege out until KC comes home!
I just wanted to tell you all that you are definitely one the top of my thankful list! I really don't know what i'd do without you all! So thank you.
All of you celebrating- have a safe and happy day. May you have full tummies and lots of laughter!
Much love! :hug:
It's really cute! It has a lot of potential, I think. :goodvibes Is it in a school district that would be better for Sarabeth?
Katt - Is the house in the school district you want Sarabeth to go too?
It would be better for Sarabeth. I am ONLY looking at the two areas that I want Sara to be a Part of. It is REALLY ISOLATED. I would need SNOW EQUIPMENT in the Winter....BUT if I am going to pay THAT MUCH for a house... I am wanting the bedrooms larger... and a Formal dining Room would be preferred.
It does has potential.. structually Sound. New Roof.
The garage is really Cool.. in the fact you can pull into it from the back or the front of the house. YOU NEVER HAVE TO BACK OUT.
I think my virtual memory is too low or something like that. I couldn't get the page to load. :sad1:
Sorry There are 25 pictures on the site.
I'm going to make Aiden's birthday dinner now. :cloud9:
BYE... sorry I missed you :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:
I really like it! Nice floors and sunroom. The taxes are about 1/2 of ours and our house cost about 1/2 as much. :rolleyes:
Floors are beautiful.. and since Sarabeth has allergies... it would be a +.
The best thing I have going for me is the fact the house is Vacant... and we have a down economy. I could probably get them down more... Tax assessment on this home is Under 300,000. And they have been in the home since 1995..
