I had to share though, Jimmy came home from school all excited becasue he got pick something from the teachers "prize box". When I asked him why he told me it was becasue he got up infront of the class and told everyone about his science project. Because it was not mandatory, only Jimmy and one other kid in the class did one. (It isn't mandatory K-3, but once he its 4th grade it will be mandatory!). I was so happy

GO JIMMY GO JIMMY GO GO GO JIMMY!!
It's kind of weird, isn't it? A bunch of people who have come to one place out of devotion to a mouse have managed to become a really powerful support system for each other. Life is crazy, and super unpredictable, and I, for one, think it's fantastic that we can come here to share the good and the bad.
Yeah, what Kate said!
So DH and I were sitting on the couch last night when I heard a strange noise in the kitchen. It was like a ticking noise. He dishwasher has been acting funky, so I got up to see what was going on. It was water dripping from the ceiling

Our bathroom is directly above the kitchen. Seems the shower has a cracked pipe...or something.

Looks like I'll be spending Thanksgiving tearing up my bathroom floor.
Oh, NO! Poor Kate! Good luck!
Mel~ I am glad your eye pressure is down. That is one fast moving Doc
Thanks Mrs. The King. He's like lightning!
Last week my friend with ALS attempted suicide. I am so angry at her. And I am so sad for her. She was texting me the night before and had mentioned it, but I did not think she was serious. She tricked a caregiver into opening her pills for her and took them when no one was looking. After 2 days in ICU and one in the regular room she came home. I feel like I have not processed it yet. I almost don't want to. Is that selfish of me? Just to put it all on the back burner?
Sorry to vent. I hope everyone has an amazing Turkey day.
Sorry to hear about your friend! That is so sad. It's not selfish of you at all. I'd say it's perfectly normal to feel that way. And we're here for you!
Mel-

glad the pressure is down and the stitch is out.
Thanks! Happy Turkey Day!
HI Fockers, that's right 3 days in a row,
WHOA! GO MO!
Happy Turkey Day Fockers!!!!!!!
You too, Mo. Have a great Thanksgiving. Kiss the boys! (furry ones!)
I took BabyGirl to the ENT yesterday and she is going to have to have surgery. No surprise there. They recommended last Jan to have her tonsils and adenoids removed, but we wanted to wait because she had just turned 3. Now they have to remove one of her tubes and the ENT said her tonsils look even worse. Might as well get it all done in 1 go. They called to schedule the surgery today, but I missed the call. They want to do it on Dec 4, but Mr Diz is having his hernia surgery on Dec 5. I'm going to try to get her surgery the following week.
Yikes, Mary! Poor BabyGirl. We'll be thinking happy thoughts for Mr. Diz!
Pictures and curtains should be hung to night so I will post pics after that is done!
Finally! Ha, kidding, Janet! Can't wait to see it.
Time to take the pumpkin pies out of the oven. Once DH gets home we'll be tackling the ceiling/floor issue...trying to decide if we should attack from above or below...(I'd rather put in a new floor than try to put up a new ceiling, but who knows what we'll find.)
Anyway, if I'm not back, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. And Jo, enjoy your Thursday

You are all great people, and I am thankful to know each and every one of you.
Kate
Ah, again, What Kate Said! I am so glad I have my Fockers!

Home from Kroger! What a Mad House! Omg! We got our cookie supplies and other assorted things. I am so glad to be done with that. It was packed. Gus is doing some homework and SD just played 3 games of cribbage with my mom. MIL is crocheting.
We are going to bake cookies (pkg dough, thanks gals!) and then we'll have dinner which is going to be chicken roll-ups (tortilla, lettuce tomato dressing) and that should be pretty easy.
Bob's going to call in an hour or two! yay!!!!!!!
Have a good day girls. (and mr. t)
MEL
