Morning, Friends.

DD4 and I both went to bed early last night and it seemed to have helped both of us. I think DH put DD4 to bed at 7:15 last night. She fell asleep right away and slept until 7:30 this morning. She's looking a lot better today. I fell asleep a little after halftime in the football game last night. I think I woke up after it was over and turned off my light and the TV. I feel much more rested today as well.

I just realized what I forgot to do yesterday. I'm signed up to make a meal for a family in our church that just had their third baby and I was supposed to buy the food yesterday. Of course, I forgot, so I've got to run up to the grocery this morning. The problem is that they have some dietary restrictions - no gluten, no sugars, no dairy. It makes it extremely difficult to come up with something to cook. So, I think I'm going to make a roast in the crockpot with onions and celery (no carrots or potatoes allowed) and maybe through some green beans in later or make them separately.

I'm also watching a friend's kids while she goes to radiation this morning. Another friend and I do this on Tuesdays for her. It's only an hour or so. She has a different person lined up every day of the week. Luckily her kids love playdates and don't mind being dropped off at other people's houses!

And I'm finally getting my hair cut this afternoon!!!! I had an appointment for last Thursday, but then had sick kids. I need a cut soooooooo bad!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Good morning, everyone. :goodvibes I'm trying to get the kids all cuted up so I can take them to Sears for a Christmas picture. I think I'm also going to get my eyes checked- finally! It's been almost 3 years since I last did them. I'm thinking I'll go with contacts this time. I haven't had them since I was in college. I'm not sure why. :confused3

So, we should be gone almost all day. I may let the kids jump in the jumpers while we're there too. :yay: :yay:

Be good and chat a lot so I have something to read when I get home. ;)

Mel... Did you get more snow ?? I looked like we might see a "Flurry" but when I woke up this morning.... Nothing.
Hope you get to the Dr. [/COLOR]

Hey... anybody heard from Rachel Lately :guilty:

Yes!!! We got 3 more inches last night. It's heavy and wet snow so Gus is THRILLED! He wants to play in it. He finally went back to school today. They are off the rest of the week.

I'm going to the Dr. at noon today! Thanks for asking. How's Sarabeth feeling?

I will call Rachel later!

JODI: Hope I caught you before you start cooking. If the family has Gluten allergies, you need to run the utensils/pans/etc. through the dishwasher first! Just to be sure that they are sterile. If you use a knife to cut anything with gluten, you need to get a new one. No cross contamination. My Dnephew has celiac disease and that's how my Sis does it....
I can give you her number if you want!

Hey... anybody heard from Rachel Lately :guilty:

I know she has been busy geting the house ready and getting ready to move, etc.

I got a picture from F & W framed for M for Christmas, and even though I asked the girl at the store to call me and not him, she didn't. So, now he wants to know what I got framed. It's the holidays, dear, don't ask!

Doh:headache:

Yes ma'am:rolleyes:

Wow. Now I realize why I couldn't find you guys :rotfl: Hi Everyone!:goodvibes

HEy, we were wondering where you went! Sorry you couldn't find the bread crumb trail!:dance3:

=====================================================

Good morning all. Back at work today, but it should be a laid back day. A lot of people have started taking off for the holiday. We have already been told we are closing early tomorrow:banana: . 3:00, but it's better than nothing!:thumbsup2

Tonight after work I am going to the grocery store to pick up the turkeys and get all the other stuff I need for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow when I get home from work I will start working right away doing all of my prep work for Thursday. Thursday we will take Jimmy to the parade and then come home and put the turkey in the oven (Store says it takes 3 1/2 to 4 hours to re-heat) Should have plenty of time--we should be home from the parade by 11:00ish!

HAve a good day everyone, I'll check back later@!

I am such a ding dong. Did I really think you guys stopped talking for over two weeks:rotfl: I will read to catch up soon!!

MEL

Thanks, Mel. The only thing I did was throw the roast in the crock pot with some water and chopped onions. I used a clean knife, so there shouldn't be a problem. I don't know how severe their allergies are, but I know that gluten tends to make his IBS flare up. I haven't added anything to the roast except water, onions, celery and salt & pepper (all of which were on their safe list). I seriously think that if their allergies were life-threatening, they wouldn't be asking for meals from other people, right? I'm going to call Kelly later just to be sure everything is good.

Gotta run to my friend's house to babysit. Be back later!!

And Good Morning again !! Slept in after my overnight check . I m not feeling to well , chest congestion and hot and sweaty. This may be a short day of work if I don't feel better !!

My DGDs had that shot I think but I thiught it was just for cervical cancer, interesting that they omitted the part about STDs !! Jo I loved Ellie's answer :lmao: math questions are so dumb , of course you need to stop and buy a ticket maybe buy some coffee or spend a penny !! All of that needs to be factored in!!:rotfl2:
Rosie the jab was just for cervical cancer no STD's and you're right about Ellie :rotfl2:

Started going back a few posts...

I think I should pop back in a little later...
:rotfl2:

Poor Jess, I hope she recovered quickly from the fainting.

The shot, I am pro-shot, I think anything that can help prevent cancer is a good thing so why not get it right? :)
She did, her arm still hurts though and I so agree :thumbsup2

My brother was in Biology class in college and they has a vial of blood or something. Anyway - he passed out in the class, in front of everyone, just at the sight of the blood.
I fainted when the teacher cut up rats at school!!!!

Jo - I would say that El is an extemely smart kid who thinks outside the box.:thumbsup2 They need to change the question. Do you let Dave win at golf on the Wii?
She is and no I don't :rotfl2:

I don't know what we'll do Saturday. I'll probably put a roast in the crockpot. My brother and SIL should be back from the Bahamas. I'll probably have a long chat with them. Exciting stuff!
Have fun :goodvibes

It's the holidays, dear, don't ask!
Exactly what I told Jess the other day when she was trying to open a parcel that came!!!!!

It's freezing here, well 43 :rotfl2: but I still played golf, once you get moving it's fine. I also bought a little bag for WDW it was meant to be £5 (can't do $'s anymore as it's not £1 to £2 so is too complicated) and it went through the till half price :yay: It's dark brown, kind of leathery look with a long strap to go across my body, it's cheap and cheerful but just what I needed :thumbsup2

Buenos dias mujeres.

Love ya'll. Have a wonderful day.

Sara's feeling better today.. she went back to school and tomorrow they get out early.

Well at least you did not get a TON of snow. .. How much snow do you guys have to get for schools to close up north... :confused3 ANY Yankee;) will do. Just curious. Here they will close school for a couple of inches.. if on the roads. What is funny.. and bad is when they close school BECAUSE IT"S COMING... .. We have gotten fooled a few times with that one.

I HAD NO IDEA that even after washing pans and utensils that they might still need another cleaning.. :scared1: to make sure there is no cross contamination. That is serious.

And this is way more important than your health:rolleyes1 :sad2: Get the surgery if you need it...Disney will always be there!

I ALWAYS.. put my kids and EVERYTHING ELSE... in front of me. I could go to my Orthopedic surgeon... have the MRI.. but UNLESS I become immobile.. It's not gonna happen.
Yes Disney WILL be there... but my kids are only my kids NOW... I want them to have a happier childhood than I did.

I am such a ding dong. Did I really think you guys stopped talking for over two weeks:rotfl: I will read to catch up soon!!

Good luck catching up.. and a couple of nights... a few ladies that are on Probation.... :rolleyes1 decided to have some kind of Drunken Spanish Fest.. and racked up 10 pages alone 1 night.. and another 7 on a second night.

I am DONE shopping for Christmas and for Thanksgiving. I was pretty much done with both already... today was the last ingredients for Turkey day... and the last small present for Sarabeth for Christmas.

Gonna try an new recipe for desert. It's called "Tres Leches Cake" aka Milk Cake as it has 2-3 different creams /milks in it.
Oh MAN... is this thing GOOD... There is a restaurant that serves it here.. and I could eat 2 pieces of that and not look up.

It is rich, and soooo moist because after you make a simple dense white cake... and let it cool... you pierce it.. and pour this Milky Creamy Mixtures over it.. letting it get in side the cake and just saturate it with LOVE:lovestruc . Then add a Whipped cream base frosting. to the top of it... and 2 pots of coffee and you wake up 2 weeks later.. from your diabetic coma... but you have a smile on your lips.

.....OOOOOOOHHHH......Anybody got a cigarette......:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have not made it before... and it really takes a day to make.. if you count cooling the cake and refrigerating the cake after you pour the Milk into it.

Ok girls! I need help!

I need a GOOD cookie recipe! One for the cut-out kind of sugar cookies that you can decorate. I've tried others through the years but had NO luck with the rolling out part.

So, what do you guys have for me!?

I need it QUICK!

In Philly they don't close the schools unless the bus company decides that the buses can't run. Usually 6 - 8 inches before they will shut down.

DO you really want to know how I do cookie cutter cookies??? OK, get a pencil...Write this down....

Step 1 - Get in your car and drive to the grocery store.

Step 2 - Go to the refrigeratoed section and pick up 4 tubes of Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough.

Step 3 - Pay for them (This is important - DO NOT TRY TO LEAVE STORE WITHOUT PAYING, the owners frown upon this;) )

Step 4 - Take home.

Step 5 - Open container and roll out with a floured rolling pun (so the dough doesn't stick!).

Step 6 - Cut cookies

Step 7 - Read instructions on tube as to how to cook them

Step 8 - Follow the instructions.

And that my friend is how I make sugar cookies!:thumbsup2
