DO you really want to know how I do cookie cutter cookies??? OK, get a pencil...Write this down....

Step 1 - Get in your car and drive to the grocery store.

Step 2 - Go to the refrigeratoed section and pick up 4 tubes of Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough.

Step 3 - Pay for them (This is important - DO NOT TRY TO LEAVE STORE WITHOUT PAYING, the owners frown upon this;) )

Step 4 - Take home.

Step 5 - Open container and roll out with a floured rolling pun (so the dough doesn't stick!).

Step 6 - Cut cookies

Step 7 - Read instructions on tube as to how to cook them

Step 8 - Follow the instructions.

And that my friend is how I make sugar cookies!:thumbsup2

Is there any other way?

Ti double ggerr I know they say time heals but it doesn't always !!:grouphug:

My Mom explained it to me this way... "it eases... but you will always miss them . But the wound never completely heals. "

And she was/ is right.

David... wow.. you lost your dad when you were still a Young Adult:hug:

( or as I say now... a Kid.. It's funny Kids keep getting OLDER as I do...:rotfl2:

Hey .. that's what we need a "Focker Winterfest"..Give all of our DEEP SOUTH LADIES... a chance to have some Eskimo fun

DSL in da house!

Well as a a Parent with a kid that has it... While I am on the fence as it CAUSING IT.. it cold be a Catalyst. Obviously there are some heredity issues.. ( my brother had is severely.. and when he was born...1955...they did not have a name for it yet...)But there was a change in the serums used for vaccinations... and maybe there is too much Mercury... In what I've seen.. these kids also have a lot of Mercury in their systems.. They may have the "gene" marker for Autism.. and it only manifested...after the shot.

Me too! DS11 started showing signs around age 3, but I can think of other things that go back further. He was talking then suddenly stopped around 19 months and would just grunt. I told him that if he wanted something, he would have to ask, that grunting wouldn't cut it. :guilty: He would walk up to the fridge with his cup and say, "please or thank you." That meant he wanted something to drink. He did start talking again, and was environmentally reading around 26 months and was on a 3rd grade level 2 months after entering K. At his 2nd b-day, his cousin popped a balloon right next to him and he never looked up. He received the vaccines that contained Hg.

He was diagnosed as having Asperger's ate age 7.

Nope, at least not here. Katt's got this whole big long thing that includes eggs and stuff. Way too confusing for me:confused3

Eggs and stuff? No way!

I get lost if a recipe has more than 4 ingredients and requires multi steps. I just want to put everything in a bowl, mix, pour and put it in the oven.

I have a hard time with Rice-A-Roni....I dump everything in the pan and then realize I am supposed to brown the vermacelli first. :headache:

What a long freaking day! We were at the mall getting my eyes examined and getting the kids pics done for 3.5 hours! :faint: What a pain! :headache:

Now I'm thinking of resting, but I don't know how to work these dern contacts!
I can't nap with them in, can I? Are my eyes supposed to be blurry-ish and weird? I'm wondering if I should take them out and put my glasses back on... :confused3

Has anyone who wears contacts gotten them on-line? I'm wondering what the prices are vs. EyeMasters or something. :surfweb:
I'm going to trim my fingernails and take the contacts out. My eyes are tired. :guilty:

It's not good to nap with them in, try to avoid that. I had a hard time adjusting when I first got contacts, but it gets better.
I order online from Vision Direct and am very happy.

:grouphug: T-i-double-g-err

I was just looking at that site. The problem is that I don't know what type to use. There's an abbreviation, not a full brand or type written out. Maybe I should just get one box from EyeMasters, then switch to on-line? :confused3

I got fitted for contacts a few weeks ago. I haven't worn them in 11 years. My eyes were so tired after trying about a dozen pairs.

She just gave me one pair and told me to let her know if they work for me. I haven't worn them since '92! :lmao:

Dawn - I've worn contacts since seventh grade. At first I wore semi-rigid contacts due to my astigmatism, but now I wear soft toric lenses. I take naps all the time in mine, but when I wake up, sometimes they feel "gummy" for awhile.

As for the blurry and weird feeling, I think it's probably just your eyes getting used to them. For the first week or so, you should wear them a little longer each day, but not all day yet. I think the first day shouldn't be any longer than four hours and then I would add an hour each day, until you're up to however long you want to wear them. Most days I wear mine 15 or 16 hours now.

I've purchased contacts online, but only after getting them through my eye doctor first. Then, I know exactly what brand to buy and what prescription. Sometimes they're cheaper online, but my eye doctor gets pretty good prices due to buying them in bulk. Of course, I wouldn't go buying a bunch until you're sure that the ones you've got are the right ones for you. If they still don't feel good after a week or so, I'd go see my eye doctor again. I had some problems finding some that didn't irritate my eyes in the beginning.

Mitch was asking me what the movie was, so I told him it must be good, Kat's seen it 8 times. ;)

I am not in the process of downloading a camera version of the movie, nope not me!:rolleyes1

Ok girls! I need help!

I need a GOOD cookie recipe! One for the cut-out kind of sugar cookies that you can decorate. I've tried others through the years but had NO luck with the rolling out part.

So, what do you guys have for me!?

I need it QUICK!

Mel

I usually start with a mix in the bag sugar cookie dough! I know, me of all people! But i tend to make a carpload of cookies and its much easier to roll them out when you don't have to do too much to the dough. I amke soem home made and some out of the package cookies.

I'll try to stop by later tonight, because I doubt I'll be on much tomorrow or the weekend, though I am taking the computer with me. :grouphug:

In case I miss you- HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thanks! My dad passed away about 20 years ago, and there are still moments. I'm sure it will get easier over time, but for now, I'm never quite sure what will trigger a memory or a thought that will bring on the grief.

It does make planning the June trip a little more difficult at times. My mom was with us on most of our family WDW trips.

I lost my mom just 3 years ago. Her birthday was Dec 11th, so that always makes the holidays harder. After she passed we went on a Christmas Disney trip in her honor!

What a long freaking day! We were at the mall getting my eyes examined and getting the kids pics done for 3.5 hours! :faint: What a pain! :headache:

3.5 hours? Yikes!

Hello all!

I have the crock pot coq au van in the pot today. I am trying to get all the little things around the house done today. Tomorrow I cook and KC will be gone all day. Then on the weekend I think I am going to cook a big-ish meal for us since I am not getting the turkey day i really want. And Pants usually comes over for our yearly leftover swap!

Today is my name day. It's a Greek orthodox thing. I am Greek but not religious but Pants is and usually a big deal is made. Today he forgot me. I usually get my baklava, but not even a phone call this time. He's in trouble.

Anyways off to finish up all my carp.

Hi Kat!! I am home sick and feeling sorry for myself !! Hopefully a good nights sleep and I will be fine tomorrow!!

Happy name day, Kat! :goodvibes

Ok, so how much $$ did you spend? We haven't gotten pictures in a loooooooong time, so I went overboard. $400+ I quit buying school pics because they were usually bad and to get enough for the fam, it would cost at least $50 per child; so I just stopped getting them.

Your pictures came out nice!
