My friend will be so jealous! She has just decided she likes Nascar. DH watches Indy and F1 so no idea where Nascar came from. :rotfl:
I am not a race fan but Omicron is. I hate race weekends here. Imagine 30,000 rednecks all congregated at your local wal-mart !!
Today is my 30 day count
:cool1: and great news on the airfare!
Saw the tickers! Whoo Hoo!
I love Nascar! Lucky you living near Talladega! Sorry you had to change plans but kids are resilient. :o)
Nascar rules. Period.

Bob's coming home tonight! I'm so happy. We haven't had a chance to sit down and talk since the pay cut BOMB! I want to have a family meeting and tell the boys too. It does affect them, though not too much.
We have family meetings ALL the time!! Good luck with yours.
I'm off in a bit to get my hair done. By a pro this time. I love what I've got going, but need one more layer of much lighter highlights to finish. And I don't do bleach. Be back later with the results! :yay:
Love the hair color!! And that reminds me... I still have the same bottle of dye since last time we had this conversation
I was so happy to write three names very large on the second one!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Debra! It looks like we'll be in WDW at the same time! That is, if I get to go. I haven't talked to Eric to get the final approval yet, but I want to go solo in October to meet up with some friends for the second year in a row. If I go, we'll have to set up a meet!
:cool1: on writing the names
I would LOVE to meet up with you Jodi. But are you sure? Did you not see that we have 5 kids??
:rotfl2: And love the hug thing!!!
I think TE was reading the shopoholic books????? Oh I'm at WDW 24th to 28th September for the EE 5K
Honestly nothing exciting see reply to Janet nosey :rotfl2: Sorry about your camp and I did see your tickers :thumbsup2
Thanks! My dh and I will be at Universal those dates in September. And :lmao:
509.jpg
I would like to see that in a Black and White???
today is the day I met Steve 21 years ago! I wasw home from Florida for only a week, when friends of mine and Bruce`s invited me over to a get together at their house. Steve was a coworker of the husband. :rolleyes:
As the others have said... Be careful!
I need advice on where to stay:
Not a fan of the values myself but will do it if that is all I had. I would vote on finding a roomie and doing a mod or delux and keeping the points.
but when he told them he was only 20 they rode him off and everything he had build up to and showed them was thrown away.
That's awful!
Debra?: did you find your $75 work ring?
Hi CE, Janet, Lessa, Kat, Kristel, Lori, TE, T2, Kate, Rosie, T, JenM, Jen, Dawn! And everyone else who I forgot! :wave:
I'm going on a Disney cruise!
Nope. and :cool1:
she's going to be beating me in a few years :rotfl: We went and did 7 holes,
It's probably because you gave her your old clubs and bought yourself new ones :lmao:
She thinks because she has an insulin pump she can do what she wants.
This sounds a lot like my mom. I love her but I don't understand the behavior at all. She to eats tons of sugar yet she constantly talks about her diabetes. :confused:
And I'll show you some before and after pics.
popcorn::
Night All!!
night!
May 31-June 4 :) I think I'm just barely missing Lessa by a few weeks/days?:confused:
Night All!
That's not far at all :laundy:
Night
We had a great time today in Chattanooga. I am exhausted though. My MIL bought me a stroller for Tau specifically for this trip and we brought it. However there were a lot of stairs and narrow passageways on the Rock City tour and he wound up walking or being carried the entire way and we still had to fold up and carry the stroller too. About half way back to the entrance I decided to take a look at the map and saw that there was a designated Wheelchair/stroller route that we missed entirely :headache:
At Ruby falls a hotdog was $4!!! :mad:
Next time i will be better prepared. :idea:
Good night everyone. I am exhausted. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
Good morning!
Just a quick hi, I'll be back later. Not sure if Gus will make it to school today. Poor kid.
Happy Birthday Z!!!!
MEL
We hit IKEA today, ate and spent another $100. Yeesh. We are all but one square of the unit finished. We had some drama with there not being another of the baskets that I wanted and they wouldn't sell me the display! So I have one basket and one empty spot- which will drive me nuts, I like symmetry!
That would drive me crazy as well!
:scared1: Im number 7!! well...i grew up about 30 min from there and my friends all go to school there, so i guess thats close enough.
I know...I live an hour from #3. They said Pittsburgh was the second most polluted city so that is why it is so harsh on your hair.
I am not a race fan but Omicron is. I hate race weekends here. Imagine 30,000 rednecks all congregated at your local wal-mart !!
:lmao: I have to laugh at this. It reminds me of when we have Jamboree in the Hills in our area. A weekend of country music. Walmart is crowded 24/7 at this time and no one even ventures out that way.
Glad you had a good day. Sorry about missing the stroller route. There really is a lot of stairs/walking there.
Good morning!
:wave: Hi Mel! Sorry Gus is still feeling under the weather. Hope he gets better soon! :hug:
Morning Fockers!
Both kids have school today. I have some laundry and dishes to catch up on. Linds has make-up T-ball practice this evening. They are holding it on the elementary playground. Should be interesting if one of the kids fall. At least DR will have fun playing on the playground. He's been dying to try out the tire swings. :laughing:
Gotta run Linds up to school! Hope y'all have a great Friday!
Happy Birthday Zed
Well Maddie found enough change and bills hanging around to buy her game. Who knew we had that much change in our sofa's???? :lmao:
Wow I'm checking your sofas when I visit :rotfl2: So what game did she get?
It's a short cruise, but it's a Disney Cruise nonetheless and I'm so excited! :hyper:
Fantastic!!!
Put a good word in for me next year;)
Will do, not sure you'd really want it though :sad2:
Well I knew it wouldn't last. That new person who tried to take over the office is on her way out. She is a diabetic. I guess she had a bad spell this past weekend and now has a drs excuse for not being able to do the job.
Sorry for her but hey good for you :thumbsup2
Awwwww :goodvibes
Tonight and tomorrow I will finish this up and we will rehang all our pictures and things and spackle and paint over the holes. Then we can finally enjoy our darn home again! And I'll show you some before and after pics.
It'll all be done soon :thumbsup2
It's probably because you gave her your old clubs and bought yourself new ones :lmao:
Yep that will serve me right :rotfl2:
About half way back to the entrance I decided to take a look at the map and saw that there was a designated Wheelchair/stroller route that we missed entirely :headache:
What a pain!!!
Sorry im proud of my AK hotdog grilling skills:thumbsup2
:rotfl2:
Another rainy day so not much going on, I've printed out my free golf tickets and answered some questions but that's it :sad2:
Happy Birthday ZED !!:wizard::love::banana::cool1::yay::dance3::):banana:
Sorry Jo I stole your line !! But I' m a Brit tooo !!:lmao:
Seriously Z have a great Birthday!!!
Another quick stop in, with no quoting...
Janet & Jo - she's only here until Sunday morning.
Z - great news on the cruise!
Jo, why wouldn't Janet want your good word? :hug: Don't be silly.
Hi, everyone!
*******************************************************
Baseball practice was fun - got a couple of friends on the team, which is always nice - but it was getting chilly by the end and it went just a little too late. Next week he wants to start at 6:00, which will be better. :thumbsup2
We fed the boys before the practice, but MIL and I didn't eat, and D wasn't home yet. He stopped on the way back and got a rotisserie chicken, but then we didn't eat until nearly 9:00. I was up too late without even realizing it - didn't head up to bed until midnight. :sad2:
Then I didn't get to sleep quickly because D is starting to freak out over buying the boat. He does a lot of second guessing (thankfully, not when he's flying, but on big money decisions ;) ) and so he was stressed and not sleeping well. (I think he'll be fine once it's done.)
I am still volunteering this morning, then we'll go out to eat lunch. We've decided to turn down the playdate/dinner request. D's mom can get upset when she has to "share" the boys, and since she's here such a short time, D doesn't know when he will be back, our deck isn't fixed, so grilling's not an option... Just seems too bad, because it's going to be a lovely day and the kids would be happy, but I don't want to cook if we can't grill, and it's probably the nice thing to do for MIL. :confused3
So, we'll do our regular pizza/movie night. :thumbsup2
OK, off to shower. I'll try to read again later!
OK I hate my DD Jess, she's getting too good at golf and I can see she's going to be beating me in a few years :rotfl: We went and did 7 holes, Ellie pushed my trolley and D caddied for Jess and other than a few silly shots she did brilliantly :thumbsup2
That's awesome - WTG Jess!! :thumbsup2
Wooo hooo!!!! :woohoo:
Well, so much for finding time today to stop by and visit. :confused3 I hope everyone has a great week.:goodvibes and :hug::hug::hug:
Hi Kate - bye Kate... see you real soon! :banana:
Well Maddie found enough change and bills hanging around to buy her game. Who knew we had that much change in our sofa's???? :lmao:
:rotfl2:
I like the cut and color.:thumbsup2 What's Leo think?
Thanks! Leo likes it, too, which surprise me; before yesterday's lightening I was about the same color as him and he really liked that. :goodvibes
Here's a pic for ya though of my little cutie. He went golfing with his Pappy and Uncle Geoff this afternoon. His first time and he took his own set of clubs with him. He's had them since he was 1. :laughing:
That's so cool! I'd hoped to get Leo interested in golf, but it hasn't happened. Yet. ;)
Oh and V...I have AOL and on the main screen an article popped up about the 13 worst hair cities to live in and it made me think of you. LOL
Here are the top 13 worst cities:
1) Corpus Christi, Texas
2) Olympia, Washington
3) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
4) Las Vegas, Nevada
5) Phoenix, Arizona
6) Pensacola, Florida
7) Fresno, California
8) Houston, Texas
9) Tucson, Arizona
10) New Orleans, Louisiana
11) Cincinnati, Ohio
12) Albuquerque, New Mexico
13) Eugene, OR
:rotfl2:
But wait... is this the worst places to try doing hair, or the places with the worst hairstyles? If the former, I'm SHOCKED no FL cities made it - humidity is teh devil! :rotfl:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's see, what's new and exciting.... not much. Except that we can't wait to see our SC friends Sunday!!! :yay::banana::woohoo:
:yay: :yay: Our counter offer was accepted this morning! :yay: :yay:
They did ask for our new dining table. Kirt was slightly annoyed since we haven't paid for it yet (It was only $800), but I say they can have it! It's gorgeous, but it's been quite a chore to deal with. It's glass with microsuede chairs. We've had to steam clean the chairs constantly. So I'll pay it off when we close and get something that's not so much trouble! ;)
Here's a picture of the table, for the curious...
Housepics041.jpg
Anyway, I'm going to shower and head to Austin to buy a house. I have 5 great houses and 2 not-in-the-area-I wanted-but-gorgeous houses to look at today. :thumbsup2
I'll check in when we get home. :hug:
Good morning, all!
Happy Birthday Z!!!!!!
Just a quick drive-by post to tell you all that I booked my flights today for the October trip!!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana:
I'm also going to be calling Member Services this afternoon to reserve a studio at OKW. I can always cancel later if I find someone to room with. If not, I'll stay at OKW and not have to shell out any money.
Off to school and lunch with a friend. Be back later! Have a great day everyone!
Yep, I was all hopeful that you were going to be on my cruise. We are sailing May 23rd-30th.
That stinks! You are going to miss each other by one freaking day:sad2:
Janet - That is great news about Jimmy!
Coming along slowly but surely!:thumbsup2
He is such a cutie:goodvibes
Admittedly I skimmed so Hi to everyone and Hugs to those who need it, I'll catch up with all of your lives asap. Now It's back to work for a bit then to SLEEP!
Hi Kat! Can't wait to see the finished product!:thumbsup2
Wow I'm checking your sofas when I visit
Really, if we all go to T's we can finance our Disney trips:lmao:
Another rainy day so not much going on, I've printed out my free golf tickets and answered some questions but that's it
It's finally beautiful here today. GOing up to 73 and it's going to be 77 tomorrow:cool1:
Jo, why wouldn't Janet want your good word? Don't be silly.
I missed somthing I think:confused:
Baseball practice was fun - got a couple of friends on the team, which is always nice - but it was getting chilly by the end and it went just a little too late. Next week he wants to start at 6:00, which will be better.
Jimmy would have been a bear to get into bed at that point:sad2:
Then I didn't get to sleep quickly because D is starting to freak out over buying the boat. He does a lot of second guessing (thankfully, not when he's flying, but on big money decisions ) and so he was stressed and not sleeping well. (I think he'll be fine once it's done.)
Glad he doens't do this while flying;) Hope he unstresses soon:goodvibes
Awesome news Dawn. COngratulations!:yay::cheer2:
Look at it this way, it's one less thing you have to pack to move:thumbsup2
Good luck!
========================================================
Morning everyone. Just a quick drop in
Parachute-3.gif
.
I have a meeting in about 15 mintues. Who schedules a meeting on a beautiful Friday morning:headache:
Busy weekend planned. We are going to see the Berenstain Bears at the Walnut Street Theater tomorrow, and after that we are going to the Frankilin Institute to see the narnia exhibit and then let the kids run around the museum for a while. It's a pretty cool place. They have a giant heart that you can walk through. Here's the site if anyone is interested.http://www2.fi.edu/
Sunday should be a fairly quiet day. It's supposed to rain, again:sad2:. Jim will take Jimmy over to his mothers to have her buy her patron ad for the silent auction for Jimmy's school. It costs a whole dollar, so if she gives him a hard time about it can I hurt her?
HAve a great day Fockers. I'll check back later
Hi, everyone!
...
didn't head up to bed until midnight. :sad2:
hi CE. I couldn't sleep last night either. I was up until 1. sounds like you have a great weekend.
:yay: :yay: Our counter offer was accepted this morning! :yay: :yay:
:yay::yay: for the contract on your home!! Will you post pics of the houses you are considering so we can go house shopping with you?
Good morning, all!
Just a quick drive-by post to tell you all that I booked my flights today for the October trip!!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana:
morning Jodi.
:yay::yay: for booking flight. With our crew of 7 it will always be cheaper to drive. Orlando is only 10 hour drive so not that bad but I am hoping to get some cheap flights for the no kids trip :love:
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Morning everyone. I could not sleep last night and was up until 1. this is our last day of spring break. Chi and Omicron went to their dad's last night and alpha and Delta are going to their mom's tonight. I'm exhausted and as much as I will miss them I need the break.
I have a lot of :laundy: to do today and some errands so I will be popping in and out. Have a great day everyone!!!
