Good Mornng All! Thanx for the update Kristel!!!:)Today is my 30 day count Yahoooey:banana::banana:
Nothing to exciting going on as yet !! ;)Have to get to the bank before work so tonite I can book with SWA for our Sept trip !! Prices look pretty good for 6 of us $1675.20 Roundtrip and Non Stop which is a must as DD suffers with her ears badly :scared1:and the altitude climbing needs to be a minimum!!I :thumbsup2Icould get it cheaper with stops but for her that is not an option PLUS it gets us to Disney quicker and gives us most of Day 1 !!!:banana::banana:

They had one of those here today too:thumbsup2 I knew there was a reason we got along so well;)
Do you mean besides our mutual love of Disney and funnel cakes? ROFL

I haven't moved yet. Although I will be once school is out. San Antonio it is!

Missed y'all. :hug:
Nice to see you again. Sorry to hear that Jon's having problems. Wow! Big moving news! Good luck!

Anyone else going to be there? I mean its not tennis or anything, but its still an exercise.
Hi Sam! Good girl, going to class. I am not going to the DL thing. Running is NOT my exercise of choice! I like the bike. Exercising AND sitting!!!!

Hi Fockers !! I have been super busy today and put in a 16 hour day between boh jobs so I am TIRED !!!! :scared1:Hope I didn't miss too much :confused3May be Kristel can catch me up!!!:cool1:
Had an interesting evening 1 consume swore at another ,can't say what she saidot it would lok like this ****** **** *****etc !! Anyway the one she swore at got a little upset and threw her supper plate down the table, stomped into her room and started hurling stuff at her TV !! :scared1:I calmly told her it was her TV and if she broke it she wouldn't be able to watch TV ( Natural Consequences ) She stopped and the rest of the evening was pretty calm we watched Scorpion King
Rosie, they should give you extra pay for hazardous duty! Perhaps a more calm movie than Scorpion King? Say, Sound of Music or something!? LOL

::yes:: We're 60 for tomorrow and 70 for Friday!

Sorry about Gus, hope he's feeling better. :hug:
Yay! Horray for gorgeous weather!
Sadly, he's not. He's tucked up on the sofa with me right now. I was just emailing his teacher because today is the testing for Advanced math placement for middle school and he'll be missing it!

Yucky subject, sort of, but I just found out that one of my college friends has a brother who's a reporter in the Denver area. He's going to be on Oprah Monday because he's written a really comprehensive take on Columbine (he's covered it since the beginning.) He's getting really good reviews, and hey, I know two of his sisters. :confused3 Just a little plug... it's neat for him and his family that he's getting success - and from all the reviews, no one thinks he's being sensationalistic or greedy over the tragedy, if that makes sense? The reviews are coming in that it's really insightful and possibly helpful, not just cashing in.

One of his sisters was a flight instructor when D was a student, and then the youngest sibling is about 2 years younger than me and was part of the whole group we hung out with - she was at our wedding, we still do Christmas cards, and she's a friend on FB, etc.
I have always followed any information that's come out of the Columbine tragedy. As the parent of a teenager (and a boy) I have always felt like the failure in that situation was the parents. What kind of parent allows their child UNLIMITED, UNSUPERVISED internet access, guns and a padlock on their bedroom door????
I'll be watching it. Thanks.

I need advice! HELP ME! :confused: my ex fiance accepted my friend request a few weeks ago on FB. but we havent had any contact yet. he was the love of my life. my best friend. but I was 20 and what did I know. :confused3 I will always love him and have a special place for him. I've been married for 20 years. and hes married now. (from his FB profile) he lives in Idaho now. a life flight paramedic. I was with him during paramedic school and the Police Acadamy. I want to send an e-mail saying hi. but I have no idea how to start it. what do you say to someone you left behind in Florida 21 years ago? :guilty: 21 years this week actually. I dont know what to do. :sad1: what I wouldnt do for those long walks on the beach again or spending hours sitting in his car just chatting. :sad1:

Girl, I may be WAY outta line but I have to say it. This is dangerous territory. I speak from experience. Don't do anything you'll regret. He's married. You're married.
Sorry if I stepped over the line. I LY and don't want you to do something silly. :hug:

I'm so tired. I'm going to bed. Good night!!!
Good idea. Sleeping is good.

We told the kids we would go camping next weekend since it just didn't work out for this week but it looks like we lied to them again. We just realized it is race weekend (We live 30 minutes from Talladega) and all of the campgrounds are booked a year in advanced for that weekend. Since i am unfamiliar with mom's rv I dont want to drive it too far our first time. I hate telling my kids something then not being able to do it. :sad2:

Rock City was postponed again too so looks like we will be doing that and Ruby falls tomorrow (in chattanooga).

Did anyone notice my tickers??
Saw the tickers! Whoo Hoo!
I love Nascar! Lucky you living near Talladega! Sorry you had to change plans but kids are resilient. :o)

:hug: I know this wasnt any help to you, but i was just drawing the similarities and I can't even imagine being where you are right now. I hope im not just a silly 20 year old as you said you were.:hug:
Boy it seems like everyone needs some hugs tonight!:grouphug:
Sam, you're young. This is when you're supposed to be silly.

hi , every 1
I am new , nice to meet you
I am melody , i am work in Shanghai now .where are you from j

hello , everyone
I am busy finding my dress now , I see the UBrides have amazing style , they are really pretty , and most of the price is around $200 , is that reasonable price ? my mon told me that is very cheap price ,what do you think of ?
Um, a $200 wedding dress is pretty cheap.

Anyway. off to sleep. If anyone is looking for a way to kill time or just wants something funny to watch, check out the fail toy videos on youtube. the guy from jeepers media is wierd and reminds me of my BIL. He has reviews of toys and what were they thinking, etc. watch out though because there are some pretty naughty ones. ironically, most of them are disney....:rolleyes1
Sorry you don't feel good!
My kids LOVE the fail blog. Crazy stuff!

That's about it for me. Gotta run Linds up to school. Hope y'all have a good day!
You too, Lori!

Hugs to everyone who needs them! I need to go ride herd on the kids and get them out of here. Then, I need to quickly make up the guest bed and head for tennis, then the airport, then I'll have to drag MIL to the grocery store on the way home. ;)
Wow! Busy girl! Have fun at "fun tennis" and enjoy your visiting!

My friend will be so jealous! She has just decided she likes Nascar. DH watches Indy and F1 so no idea where Nascar came from. :rotfl:
Nascar rules. Period.

Good morning everyone! Poor little Gus is sick. His stomach hurts and he has a headache. He's going to hang out with me at home today. Sadly, that means I won't get to the gym. I have to take SD to get his retainers this afternoon. He got to enjoy having no braces AND no retainers for a couple of days. Free ride's over.

Bob's coming home tonight! I'm so happy. We haven't had a chance to sit down and talk since the pay cut BOMB! I want to have a family meeting and tell the boys too. It does affect them, though not too much.

I'm going to catch up on my laundry since I'll be here all day. Hope you guys are having a great day!
MEL:banana:

Aaaaannnd..... my quotes went POOF! :headache:

Here's what I remember...

Jo - glad David's okay. I suffer with migraines and have experienced that facial numbness, too. Almost feels like I think a stroke would - like I can't quite make my face move right and almost seem to slur my words. :hug:

Jen-Jen- welcome back baby! :hug: I'm sorry things have been rough. We're always here for you!

T2- you need simpler fish. ;) I bought Leo two fish for $0.99 - it was a BOGO :rotfl: - almost 5 years ago. One finally bit the dust, the other keeps plowing right along, despite my refusal to do anything more than change the filter every 4ish months and add a snail when it gets too green and icky in there.

That's all I've got. Sorry to those I'm missing! :grouphug:

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'm off in a bit to get my hair done. By a pro this time. I love what I've got going, but need one more layer of much lighter highlights to finish. And I don't do bleach. Be back later with the results! :yay:

Morning all!

I was planning to go to the gym this morning, but DD5 decided to sleep in, so that plan was out the window. Instead, I'm catching up here before heading to the chiro at 11. Then, we're meeting friends at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. They're having a special fundraiser day for the Komen Race for the Cure.

Speaking of which, I'm doing the Race on Saturday! I figured that with the year I've had with breast cancer, I need to do something. In the packet with my t-shirt and other stuff about the race, they included two bright pink pieces of paper. One of them said, "I race in memory of" and the other one said, "I race in celebration of". I am so glad I don't have to wear the first one. But let me tell you, I was so happy to write three names very large on the second one! Both of my friends and my cousin's wife are finished with their treatments and awaiting their final reconstructive surgeries. My cousin will be having her "build-a-b00b" surgery on May 1st and my friend Jenny's is in July. My friend Amy hasn't decided when/if she'll do reconstruction. I think she just wants to enjoy not having to think about surgery for right now.

Anyway, after lunch at Chick-Fil-A, I'm planning to come home and clean up the playroom (again!). Not much else going on here. It's supposed to be mid-60s today and 70s tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to being able to kick the kids outside!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just made our ressies today. We are going to Orlando to Universal just hubby and I for his birthday Sep 24-27 and during fall break to disney Oct 9-16!!!!
Did anyone notice my tickers??
Debra! It looks like we'll be in WDW at the same time! That is, if I get to go. I haven't talked to Eric to get the final approval yet, but I want to go solo in October to meet up with some friends for the second year in a row. If I go, we'll have to set up a meet!
Sadly, he's not. He's tucked up on the sofa with me right now. I was just emailing his teacher because today is the testing for Advanced math placement for middle school and he'll be missing it!
Sorry Gus isn't feeling well, Mel. Hope he gets better soon!
I have always followed any information that's come out of the Columbine tragedy. As the parent of a teenager (and a boy) I have always felt like the failure in that situation was the parents. What kind of parent allows their child UNLIMITED, UNSUPERVISED internet access, guns and a padlock on their bedroom door????
I totally agree, Mel. It boggles my mind sometimes to see what parents allow thier children to do!
My kids LOVE the fail blog. Crazy stuff!
My husband loves this site as well. He's constantly sending me links to new stuff on there. Most of it is totally hilarious!
Bob's coming home tonight! I'm so happy. We haven't had a chance to sit down and talk since the pay cut BOMB! I want to have a family meeting and tell the boys too. It does affect them, though not too much.
You're right. It does affect them. I don't think it's a bad thing to explain the situation to the boys and tell them that they may not be able to have everything they want anymore. Maybe they'll surprise you and even volunteer to give up some things to help the family out. I think it's important to teach your kids that money doesn't grow on trees and that budgeting is important! You're such a good momma, Mel!
Have a great day, everyone!!!:dance3:
Hi. I'm new here. Or I'm new again, anyways. My name is G-luv/Jen.
And I miss my friends. My Focker friends
I just wanted to pop in and tell ya' I miss you guys. :hug:
You too Jen now don't be a stranger again!
Took our fish tank water in to be tested to see if its ready for the "real"fish and they said not yet ,gave me some chemicals to put in and told me to come back in a week. $42 later I was on my way home with NO FISH!!
BTW FISH ARE EXPENSIVE!!!!WHO KNEW:confused3 some of these things are $100 each WTH!!!
Wow!!!! And those chicks were adorable :rolleyes1:rotfl2:
45 cents! Someone bought a pizza for 45 cents!! :eek: Where was this example from again?
I think TE was reading the shopoholic books????? Oh I'm at WDW 24th to 28th September for the EE 5K
She stopped and the rest of the evening was pretty calm we watched Scorpion King
Be careful!
I need advice! HELP ME! :confused: my ex fiance accepted my friend request a few weeks ago on FB. but we havent had any contact yet.
Oh Carrie I'm not sure what you should do, if you made contact could it break your heart all over again?
Our offer was too low. We had just lowered the price a week ago, and the offer was $8900 less than what we were asking. They also want $3000 for closing costs. We decided to counter and we should hear back from them tomorrow or Friday some time. Obviously, though, we want out so we know we don't want to lose these people and we may have to compromise somewhat. Luckily we owe a lot less than we are asking.
Hope they come back with a better one!
I wanted to know too but didn't know if it was proper to inquire. but since it's already been asked... what she said.
Honestly nothing exciting see reply to Janet nosey :rotfl2: Sorry about your camp and I did see your tickers :thumbsup2
JO says David has some type of migraine that also causes numbness. They prescribed beta blockers which he may have to take every day for ever. OMG. I hope that's all it is. Please keep an eye on him.
Will do :goodvibes
Jo...I'm so glad David was okay. That must have been very scary. :hug:
Thanks Kate!
Morning all!
:wave2:
Good morning everyone! Poor little Gus is sick. His stomach hurts and he has a headache.
Oh no, hope he feels better soon!
Jo - glad David's okay. I suffer with migraines and have experienced that facial numbness, too. Almost feels like I think a stroke would - like I can't quite make my face move right and almost seem to slur my words. :hug:
You too?!?!? It's weird isn't it! Good luck at the hairdressers and what did Katt's email say?
Speaking of which, I'm doing the Race on Saturday!
Good luck, sounds like you have a reason to celebrate :goodvibes
Nasty rainy day again today, David chose the right days too have his holiday :rolleyes1 So we went to the mall, I think yesterday scared D a bit and he let the girls buy some stuff. Ellie got 2 books and 2 DS games and Jess got some clothes. We then ate at Pizza Hut and did the supermarket on the way home. I've been waiting for my MMC party box to arrive, all my US Mom friends got their's last week by fedex and when we got home there was a fedex slip through the door saying they'd tried to deliver. I go online and it was a delivery of tools for a Mr Stodley :confused: Not from Disney at all :headache::rotfl2:
Oh yeah another reminder that my August TR has been finished, please go and read :goodvibes
Hi jo...have fun at golf!:goodvibes
New outdoor nighttime entertainment at the Grand Floridian Resort
Apr 16, 2009
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – There’s a lot "s'more" new fun in store at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa each evening when guests staying at the resort can roast marshmallows around a Mickey-shaped campfire, sing favorite camp tunes on the shore of Seven Seas Lagoon and see the "stars" – both on the silver screen and in the sky – as they watch a family-friendly Disney film on the moonlit beach. S’mores kits and marshmallows are available for purchase during the campfire and movie.
Sounds like it would be fun for one of those non-park days:thumbsup2
And also this...
Will you have any time to get together?
My photography class was a critique of 10-15 pictures that we have taken in the past 3 weeks. Apparently I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at. I want my photos to be pretty and colorful. Like these.
Instead of boring, to me, like these.
:hug: And yes, it's a learning process and the more you shoot, the better they'll get! You're on the right track. I'll add this: a huge part of the process is post-shoot; digital or film, it's what you do with the shot in the dark room that takes average to stellar. Keep it up! You're inspiring me to get out there and start shooting again. We should meet up one of these days and do an Orlando location!
Okay, I'm not sure if this will work, but here's my Before color:
The iPhone camera's making it look a tad more reddish than it really is, but this is pretty close. I LOVE it! :lovestruc
:hug: This hits me pretty close to home because thats me right now. i've been with marc my fiance for over 5 years. Were best friends and we dated throughout high school and shared all the same friends. we've done everything together and even though weve been long distance many times, (me in florida for 5 months, or starting college) weve always been very very close. We've now been engaged for 2 years and probably will be for a few more. Ive been with him as he went through his fire academy and several internships as a FF. Now hes started his career and im still chipping away at my school. Were both also 20.
I know this wasnt any help to you, but i was just drawing the similarities and I can't even imagine being where you are right now. I hope im not just a silly 20 year old as you said you were.:hug:
I hope everything works out alright:hug:
I didn`t realize you only 20! you seem so much more mature! I couldnt even serve you in the Liquor Store where I work. :laughing:
It sounds like you and your Fiance have something very special and rare. :lovestruc and your certainly not a silly 20 year old Sam! My advice from a 41 year old standpoint,,would be to suck up these great times. have alot of fun together. enjoy being where you are. YEARS from now all those pizza boxes around the house and roomies coming in and out will seem like heaven. :hug:
Girl, I may be WAY outta line but I have to say it. This is dangerous territory. I speak from experience. Don't do anything you'll regret. He's married. You're married.
Sorry if I stepped over the line. I LY and don't want you to do something silly. :hug:
Hi Mel,,your not outta line. :hug: thats why I asked. I feel like I NEED to do something. its like a pull I`m feeling. wierd. I also think I`m over thinking this situation. and that doesnt help. :guilty:
Carrie- I agree with Mel. Run, do not walk away from all of this stuff with the guy. That's the past and he's not part of your life now. Be careful. :guilty:
I loves you... :hug:
Thanks guys. My choices are to send an e-mail just to say hello. (I dont want to do it on FB). OR...just delete him from friends and forget it ever happened. he hasnt been on FB in a couple weeks. I think its too late for me to just delete him. I have no idea if he even thinks anything at all about all of this. he may not even give a carp. :confused3 but I`m the one that sent him the Friend request in the first place so he has to know that I was searching for him, right? :confused:
Yep!!
Oh Carrie I'm not sure what you should do, if you made contact could it break your heart all over again?
Thanks Jo. :hug: no,,I think I`ll be okay with that. We`ll see though..
Whos Mr STODLEY? :lmao:
Mel,,I think the Family meeting is a great idea! :hug: the boys are defintly old enough to understand.
I hope Gus feels better soon..how are you feeling?
Angela,,Those pictures are beautiful!!! :goodvibes
Janet, Way to go Jimmy on doing well in school!! :woohoo:
Gotta go get some laundry done. :laundy: Kids are on April vacation this week. :headache:
today is the day I met Steve 21 years ago! I wasw home from Florida for only a week, when friends of mine and Bruce`s invited me over to a get together at their house. Steve was a coworker of the husband. :rolleyes:
V, love the color! :thumbsup2 Do you have Photoshop or some type of program? I don't have one yet, but my teacher mentioned Element. Probably I should look into getting one. I'd love to take pictures some time. :goodvibes
Thank you!
I use Photoshop and it's seriously like having an actual dark room as far as what I can tweak. Elements is like PS lite - it really has everything you need to play around for a couple years, but if you really get heavily into photography you'll probably want PS at some point. The problem is that I don't think you can get PS without the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite, which includes InDesign and Illustrator; that sucker's EXPENSIVE!!! :faint: And you probably won't ever need InDeisgn or Illustrator.
I have that same picture frame that you have on the shelf behind you!:lmao:
LOL - Target?! ;)
I'm walking the 5K, but not competitively. I'm doing it with friends, so I'm hoping they'll slow down and wait for me! :thumbsup2 I'll send you an email, Janet.
Tell Steeb I say "hi!" :yay::yay::yay:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, good news. I talked to DH today and he said it's fine for me to go to WDW in October! So, now the planning starts....

First of all, I need advice on where to stay:

Option # 1 - OKW studio on points.
Pro: Free for me to use points, so no cash outlay. Can also purchase the dining plan separately.
Con: Not a good use of points. It costs 50 points for the three nights. I could rent those points out for $500 and have money leftover if I stay somewhere cheaper.

Option# 2 - POP for $354 for the three nights.
Pro: Cheapest option, especially if I find someone to share with.
Con: I really dislike the value resorts. I've been spoiled by DVC and deluxe rooms. But, how much time will I truly spend in the room???

Option # 3 - POR
Pro: It's where Tracy/Bill and Scott are staying. It would be fun to be able to hang out with them.
Con: Almost double the price of POP for the same three nights, unless I can get a discount.

Then there's the matter of the dining plan....

I've got a 5 day hopper that was given to me to use, so I don't need to purchase a ticket. I could buy the dining plan if I use points to stay at a DVC property. Otherwise, I'd have to buy a one day pass to get the dining plan, right? I guess I could keep that and use it towards an AP or some other type of ticket on a later trip, right?

Any opinions????

Speaking of which, I'm doing the Race on Saturday!
Thats great that your racing! good luck and have fun!

New outdoor nighttime entertainment at the Grand Floridian Resort

I love when they have those movie nights at the resorts. During my CP I would go to the beach club and get a sandwich from the marketplace inside, refill my mug;), and go watch the movies on the beach. It was super relaxing and could you think of a better way to end a day?

My photography class was a critique of 10-15 pictures that we have taken in the past 3 weeks. Apparently I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at. I want my photos to be pretty and colorful. Like these.
Practice makes perfect.
If you dont mind me saying...i think the major difference is that there is no basic focal point in yours. There is a subject aka sign or bridge, but not something to draw your attention like the butterfly, or building in the background that is framed in the picture. Im not sure if it helps, that was just my opinion.

I didn`t realize you only 20! you seem so much more mature! I couldnt even serve you in the Liquor Store where I work. :laughing:

me and marc both get that alot. I still have fun, i just dont see any reason to be foolish or act like a moron like many people our age. Marc actually gets it pretty bad at work. He was teaching a class during training at the station, and some guys were really interested and respected him. They talked to him for a while and were very impressed. They thought he was about 28, but when he told them he was only 20 they rode him off and everything he had build up to and showed them was thrown away.:sad2: I just dont see the point. Doesn't it show more determination and trustworthiness to have accomplished so much at a younger age rather than fart around for 4 years before you decide what you want to do. Why are we punished?

The iPhone camera's making it look a tad more reddish than it really is, but this is pretty close. I LOVE it! :lovestruc

I like the color! :woohoo:

V-like the hair
