Rough few days for us….
We checked in to the VGH on Sunday this past week, and on our checkout day at 2am Wednesday, our 2yr old son was throwing up every 20-30 mins. We got home and he started a fever and I went to the pediatrician, she said probably a stomach bug. Two hours later, he had a febrile seizure lasting about 10 minutes. We went to the emergency room by ambulance, the doctor said rhinovirus. An urgent care visit the next day, and still he wasn’t getting better. Yesterday, back to the ER for some horrible diarrhea and I brought in a stool sample. Today, got the call it was rotavirus and ecoli. Hes 2 and so it is very hard and I am very repetitive on not touching bars and no hands in mouth, and washing hands, but I am not perfect. Just a friendly reminder, so hopefully the next family can avoid this nightmare of a week.
