Good morning all. Well my day just started out "great". Took Jimmy to school and actually got here before 9:00am. Get into the elevator to go to the 10th floor when the elevator promptly brings me back to the 1st floor becasue there is a freaking fire in the McDonald's in our building :faint: So I stood outside for 45 minutes before they realized there wasn't a fire, but that thier sensor wasn't working properly before they let us back in the building. Happy Monday!

Kristel - Luggage looks very nice! And I agree with others. There must a choling warning on all pictures:lmao::rotfl2:

I see LL checked in :wave2:

Rosie - I can't believe they played that kind of a trick. I'd be :rotfl2:

V - Jury duty? So sorry:hug:. If you don't want to do it, on the questionairre tell them you know someone in law enforcement (me :wave2:) and you believe evrything the cops say and nothing would change you mind. No defense attorney in his right mind would want you ::yes::

You have McDonalds in your buildling??? Like just an elevator ride away???

:faint:

I love McD's. And staying away would be impossible. :teeth:

And I'm glad you clarified the 10 year old rule----I was pretty sure my 15 year old still acted like a 10 year old sometimes! ;)
:rotfl2:

Her bunion surgery last year was a double failure---podiatrist broke the bones in her toes by mistake.
Yikes  And sounds like you have a busy weekend coming up!

It's been a carzy day. people in and out all day picking up our selling items! So far $60 has been made! I freecycled my kitchen stuff as it's pretty old, to a very happy girl. We still have 2 more people coming through and a potential $70 more for the day! New TV here we come!
Fantastic :thumbsup2

It was a WONDERFUL trip. I enjoyed seeing Angela again. I met JenGluv and her son, Jon. Yani and Z made an appearance, and that was SO fun! I just think they are tons of fun. We enjoyed Illuminations together and Bfast at Crystal Palace.
Welcome home Mel can't wait for the TR!

This is what I ordered last night after much discount searching. It is a Delsey Helium Fusion expandable 25" trolley. I couldn't pass up the price on it. Shoebuy.com had 20% off for yesterday only with free shipping. This bag's price ranged for $95 to $109 on most the sites I checked out. With the discount It only cost me $76.76. I know my Delsey 21" carry-on cost me more than that. It is a little heavier but since I will mainly be packing t's and shorts, I'm not too worried. I guess time will tell if I made a good choice.
Great buy :thumbsup2

Where is everyone? Was it something I said? I finally got some time to DIS and where did I find this thread? Page 2!! GASP!!

I can hear an echo...echo....echo...:confused3
Hi sweetie  It's been very quiet here lately!

What a great start!!! Glad there wasn't really a fire though!

Well as lots of you have seen David and I went on a 5 mile walk today, it took us all through the countryside, over 2 golf courses, through a farm, past 2 railway stations and up huge hills. 1 hill we had to climb 145 steps which were huge, I don't think Ellie would have managed to get up them they were so high :rotfl2: Talking of Ellie we waved her off on the coach this morning, she's gone on her school trip till Friday and was so excited she was literally bouncing :rotfl:

We then went out for lunch, we got seated at a restaurant but after 15 minutes no one had come to take our order so we walked out and bought paninis from a little shop instead, we drove to a little park to eat them :rotfl2: Then we did the supermarket shop and I've just made a cake and OMG the sponge is so light it's one of the best I've made, I did put the buttercream in a little early though when the cake was still warm so it's a bit melted :rotfl2:

AWW Katt, thanks:goodvibes

I am still around, just super busy as usual. I think I need a life organizer:rotfl2::rotfl2:Too much to do with these kids schedules. Its making me nuts. I am also trying to get things together for our WDW trip. We leave this weekend. They are coming for our baggage tomorrow:eek:

I had a sinus infection last week that knocked me out for 2 days. I cant remember EVER being sick like that. I could hardly move and my head/face just hurt and pounded. OUCH!!
BUT all better ...
Happy informed us that he wants to get a PET:eek::scared1::scared1:
I DONT DO PETS!!!!!NOT IN MY HOUSE!!!!!
He really wants a dog but is allergic (thank god). The ONLY dog I would ever even consider is a golden retriever or lab and we just cant do that with our allergies. NOTHING else would EVER make it in my doors!!!!!YUCK!!(sorry pet lovers))
SOOOO
He says he wants a snake!!!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1:
NO WAY!!!!!!EVER!!!!
next up SHARKS!!!WTH is with this kid!!!!
P agreed to that.YUK again!!!
So P and the kids went to the aquarium store and got a huge(to me) 55 gallon tank for Happys bedroom. That right not in my house(general living space) will a fishtank be displayed.:rotfl:
They came and set it up this weekend and after school today we go get the"test" fish. Those are this fish that test out the tank to make sure its ok. After I think 2-4 weeks if the "test" fish make it we can get his sharks and what not.OH joy!!!
They boys are so happy and there arent even any fish in there yet. Makes my heart melt:love:

I miss you all and hopefully I can check in a bit more .
:hug::hug:to everyone

It's bad. Sometimes if I don't feel like going anywhere else that's where I will get lunch :sad2:

Afternoon... :headache:

Sarabeth is home sick... again... :headache::headache:some kids of stomach thing I guess.

Oh and I HATE FREE DINING... especially when I will be there while it is going on... but not doing it.

While I hate the scheduling for ADR's.. Free is Good

Hey Katt - Sorry SB isn't feeling well:hug:

No drunken SPanish tonight http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=31085453#post31085453

Darn.. I was thinking I might try that  except I would probably need German, French or maybe Itailan.. at least I can keep up :)

What is UP WITH TFW ??:confused3 Are we too busy to hang out or too busy on FB...
Poor Kristel really does not have much to re-cap.

Ya know something Janet... a McDonalds in my Building.. or even across the street would not phase me.. except for an Iced Tea... Got to say I NEVER CRAVE McDonalds... if I am eating it.. it's because it's there and we are traveling and I know the kids will eat it... or at least WOULD... Sarabeth is on a diet. This time she actually is.. she has lost at last count about 10 pounds (+ or - 1) The Wii Fit along with Dance classes motivated her. She's still "chubby" but you can tell she is smaller.

Maybe I'll motivate me butt and the rest of me with it and get back on the program, and the Wii fit.

Gotta do some homework and hopefully some talent show practice... show is Friday... and we are NOT ready. Song she is singing is "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. Then the All County Choir is Monday.

TTFN:tigger:

I have seen some tumbleweeds roll by in there this past few days!

Back to work Monday. I've got a lot to do today and tomorrow... in preparation for Jury Duty on April 1. Some joke!

Hope it's the start of a great week all around! :grouphug:

KC got pinched for Jury Duty on April 14th! And apparently his mom got called too for later in the month!

Computer problems fixed...for now. LOL I soooooooooo need to look into getting a new computer because while I like that I can use my phone to check e-mail and Facebook there is not much else I can do.

If you need an pc advice, just let me know - KC can find what u need cheaper than you'd normally pay!

Hello to the few who are here!!! :wave2:

I need a lot more of this -->:coffee:

I'm just really really tired. Not much going on otherwise. I am making nice easy chili for dinner with a cornbread topper. I feel like baking and am searching for some kind of cranberry raisin bread type recipe.

I also need to re-list the last few items left from the spring cleaning sale since we had a few flake outs on sales.

Happy Monday all...I'm off to brew some more crack...er..I mean coffee. ;)

OMG Your cake sounds amazing! :worship: Why arent my cakes that good!
Thanks :goodvibes Not sure how you (Americans) make theirs but I use 8 ounces (I know you don't do oz's but you could Goggle it) of butter and sugar (caster) creamed together then add 4 eggs and 8 ounces flour (self raising not sure what you call it) a bit at a time until all mixed and voila a tasty cake, well you have to bake it :goodvibes

This afternoon they went to Happisburgh (pronounced Hays brouh)

Oh no

Sounds as though she's doing great :thumbsup2

5 Miles!! :faint:
Yep it took us just over 2 hours even though the walk info said 3 hours :thumbsup2

Janet - Glad there wasn't a real fire in the building but that kind of stinks to wait around for 45 minutes for nothing.

Jo - 5 miles! You sounds like a busy girl. How do you fit it all in?

T2 - Good to see you around. A shark! Take pics when you get them.

Rosie - Yay on the free dining!

Kat - I love McD's Sweet Tea as well. And I love Taylor Swift and the song 'Love Story.'

Katt - Thanks for the PC help. I'll have to remember that next time it goes down.

 Hi to all I missed! I gotta get ready and take Linds to t-ball practice. Be back later.

Hi everyone! Nothing new going on here. I've been trying to stay busy b/c I've been a little stir crazy lately with the weather and not getting out much. I need some sunshine.

We are going to Myrtle Beach Friday for Spring Break. It's supposed to rain a few days while we are there, but I'm just glad to be out of town and having fun. Two of my sisters will be there and one of my nephews will babysit so we can all go out dancing.

TTFN.

Today was our last spring training game, :sad1:, but that means the season starts next week! The weather was wonderful, but hot with absolutely no clouds!

Happy almost Tuesday. :goodvibes

Ok, so I saw something about Jaws being a Focker:scared1: Hi T2

and Janet has McD's in her building. I swear McD's put some addictive substance in their food, if I can stay away from it I'm good, but once I have I find I have it a lot and it 's like giving up cigarettes.

V- jury duty, yeah I'm not jealous, at least you are away from the drama at work, no?

LL - how the heck are you?

T - how's Waldo, did he have the surgery yet?

Kristel - nice bag, my mom (Murph) has a Delsey and it has held up great.

Hi to everyone else!

Hi all. Back from Jimmy's Doctor's appointment. He informed me today he wants to play T-Ball..so hopefully this is a step in the right direction.:thumbsup2

We also have to do a research on peaches:confused3 HELP! Who is in Gerogia. Get me a picture of a peach orchard. How about a picture of a Welcome to Georgia sign that says WElcome to the Peach State?

Thanks :goodvibes Not sure how you (Americans) make theirs but I use 8 ounces (I know you don't do oz's but you could Goggle it) of butter and sugar (caster) creamed together then add 4 eggs and 8 ounces flour (self raising not sure what you call it) a bit at a time until all mixed and voila a tasty cake, well you have to bake it :goodvibes

When i make a cake I use i box cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Then i bake it and...:wizard:It's a cake!

But maybe ill try yours soon!

okay, rant over!! i'm sorry, i just had to vent! these people just literally suck the life and compassion out of you. what makes me the angriest , is that it takes away from the people who really need to be in the er. i have to spend wasted time on the stupid stuff, when i could be helping someone who truly needs it!

am i just being mean??
You are not being mean. I'd say the people wasting your time are the mean ones. My sister works as a CNA in a hospital. She has been sworn at, punched, spit on, called horrible names etc. It's a darn good thing she loves her job. I would have quit the first day. There isn't enough money in the world for me to do that job. I admire you.

Morning. Nothing good about it. :sad2:

Leo and I had a long talk last night and the situation is far worse than I'd imagined.
I am really hoping that things get easier for Leo. School shouldn't be so hard for such small ones!

On a much lighter note... remember my bizarre-o night out two weekends ago? VIP seating and Italian Guy?! Finally got pictures:

I think the look on my face says it all! :rotfl2:
Freakin' Hilarious. OMG.

I think they'll be done by 4PM. I gave them some chocolate pie I made to go with their lunch. :thumbsup2

Chat later!
You are too sweet, Kristel. The windows look great!

I can answer that... No and no. Really, the parenting I've seen around town - in stores, parks, beach, etc. - is truly appalling. I fear I'm in teh minority where we live. :sad2:
You are in the minority everywhere, V. Parenting is going the way of the written thank you note and men removing their hats indoors. (Both of which I insist my boys do.) Keep up the good work. As I told Dawn, your child/ren is a direct reflection of your superior parenting skills. Great parents have great kids. Great parents don't have horrible kids. It is extremely rare for it to go the other way.....

They also sent a small coloring book, so i walked to the store, bought some crayons, and colored a picture to mail to my grandma. your never too old for fridge art. hopefully it improves though!
I love this. My Gramma was my world and she loved me to make pictures for her. I did it into my adult years too.

Love the new decor! Great job cleaning! It's sparkly!

Wow with Mel not here it's just WEIRD that I am posting so early. The kitty woke me up making loud noises doing his business so I am dropping by before I get ready to hit IKEA and get some breakfast!
I'm here now but I'm all messed up....

[font]AND.... She was selected to sing the National Anthem SOLO:yay:. Yes Momma is PROUD...
Great job, Sarabeth!!!

Mel and Kat can teach cooking (it's a necessity:thumbsup2) and be in charge of a hot lunch program:thumbsup2

What else do we need. It hink we should propose the idea to Disney, maybe they will give us the funding to start:rolleyes1
Um, I think we can use Rachel for school nurse, Z for movie nights and TE for our school mascot caretaker (it's a goat, right?)
ROFL

Hi guys! 'Member me?? I am the original disappearing FOCKER! :lmao:

Waldo's doing ok. Preparing for a second surgery in the next week or so. He's ok with it, just wanting all this to be done already and get his quality of life back, KWIM?
I remember you! You like weiner salad, right???? LOL

Glad that Waldo is ok. I'm going to be keeping him in my thoughts.

I think parenting in general is very lax these days, at least around here. I feel fortunate to have met all of you who obviously are doing lots of things right and have correct ideas about teaching kids respect and politeness. I have a few friends with kids and half the time I feel like I want to jump in and parent for them, and they aren't even my kids! My friend L is one of my fav moms ever- she has a great relationship with her 10 year old and it impresses me. You are doing the right thing even if everyone else isn't.
All the Focker kids I have met are wonderful. (And you can ask Dawn, I really don't like other people's kids. LOL)

So you see why this cracked me up, and we had to try it!

I have NEVER made it out of IKEA without cinnamon rolls. It's so sad. :sad2:
Loved your mini-Tr on the Trip to IKEA. LOL
