Dude, I don't know what's up with him. There was no trampoline involved or anything! :confused3:lmao:
Must have been something else.....new perfume?

T said:
Yeah, he got a get well card from a Focker and it really made his day. He calls you all "his Foakers". Yup that's not a typo - he pronounces it FOAKERS. :lmao:
OMG, this killed me. Bob's dad calls macadamia nuts, Macedonia nuts. What is it with old people!? LOL. I am afraid I'll end up like that.

The weather here is horrid, wind, rain, hail, sun then repeat :headache: I'm playing golf tomorrow in the scratch team (The best 5 ladies from my club play the best 5 from another club and we play with no handicaps so off scratch, I've just made the team and am number 5!) so the weather had better improve!!!!
Yay! Have fun!

Hi everyone - I found the focker watch many years ago and purchased a lime green lanyard that I wear to the park every year we go. We recently went to WDW and my second trip wearing my lanyard. While everyone stares at it, I have never had anyone approach me or say something about it. So I found a couple positives from this trip... a castmember asked about my landyard and told her of the DIS boards. Do you believe she had never heard of them?? :rotfl2:

I will continue on my trips to wear my landyard and I've also found a new use for it. Pin trading! Hope to one day find some of my team fockers at the parks.
:)
Welcome! Tell us all about you!

BTW does anyone even use this smilie?:dancer:
NO, because he's SKEERY!!!!!

Hey, I need some Focker opinions. I'm looking for a new suitcase. I have a Delsey 21" that I just love for my carry-on.

Welcome back to Mel and the rest. We've missed you all.
Bob has that same suitcase and he LOVES it. Really!!!

Thanks, I missed you guys too!

So my foot surgery seems all set for this Friday, I hope no more delays, since at this point it would have to be June and then I would have to go for another pre op physical. Oh and T would have push me around in a wheelchair when I am at Disneyland in May;)
Mo, I'll be thinking good thoughts for you this week! Hope you are feeling much better, really really soon!

And what, ED?

It's been there ages, just incase I say something naughty or that I say something like make sure to reuse your refillable cup or pretend your kids are under 10 when they're 15 :rotfl2:
You'd never do that, right Jo???? LOL
I'd have a hard time convincing them that SD is 10. He was 6 foot 3 inches even when he WAS 15.

Where is everyone? Was it something I said? I finally got some time to DIS and where did I find this thread? Page 2!! GASP!!

I can hear an echo...echo....echo...:confused3
Did you forget your deoderant, LL? LOL.....Dental floss killer!

Welcome home Mel can't wait for the TR!
Sorry Jo. No TR for this one....I don't think anyway. I have YET to finish my June one. So sad!

Its my first day back at school! Woohoo. Mammal conservation here I come! :drive:
Have fun Sam!

Happy informed us that he wants to get a PET:eek::scared1::scared1:
I DONT DO PETS!!!!!NOT IN MY HOUSE!!!!!
Dude, I feel ya. This is how I ended up with a rabbit living in my kitchen. ROFL. Be glad it's a fish.

David has Mondays off and as we waved goodbye to Ellie at 9am this morning we had until 4.30pm when Jess gets home to do what we wanted :thumbsup2
And you chose to WALK 5 miles. :sad2: Poor David. LMAO!!!!!!

Whew! I'm caught up! Finally. Dawn just landed! She is on her way home now.

Not too much happened here today. I went grocery shopping because the boys ate ALL our food while I was gone! LOL. Then I picked up the big kids, but Gus had the day off for some teacher thing. I made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Yum!

Tomorrow I am going back to the gym. Walking all over WDW was good exercise but the funnel cakes probably weren't too good. Bad Mel....
Bob will be working from home, so I'll shower with strangers again and then come home. That gives him more quiet time at home, so I don't mind.

Hope you are all doing well. I'm still so out of it from my trip. Hoping to get into bed at a decent time tonight!

MEL:banana:

This afternoon they went to Happisburgh (pronounced Hays brouh)

It has a gorgeous lighthouse

HappisburghLighthouse.jpg

They're learning all about sea defences and stuff!

Looks beautiful!:thumbsup2

Janet - Glad there wasn't a real fire in the building but that kind of stinks to wait around for 45 minutes for nothing.

ANd it was cold this morning!

We are going to Myrtle Beach Friday for Spring Break. It's supposed to rain a few days while we are there, but I'm just glad to be out of town and having fun. Two of my sisters will be there and one of my nephews will babysit so we can all go out dancing.

TTFN.

Have a great time if I don't see you before you leave!:goodvibes

Today was our last spring training game, :sad1:, but that means the season starts next week! The weather was wonderful, but hot with absolutely no clouds!

Happy almost Tuesday. :goodvibes

Let's go Phillies:thumbsup2

and Janet has McD's in her building. I swear McD's put some addictive substance in their food, if I can stay away from it I'm good, but once I have I find I have it a lot and it 's like giving up cigarettes.

It can get ugly!

When i make a cake I use i box cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Then i bake it and...:wizard:It's a cake!

But maybe ill try yours soon!

:thumbsup2 That's my baking philosphy too ::yes::

You are in the minority everywhere, V. Parenting is going the way of the written thank you note and men removing their hats indoors. (Both of which I insist my boys do.) Keep up the good work. As I told Dawn, your child/ren is a direct reflection of your superior parenting skills. Great parents have great kids. Great parents don't have horrible kids. It is extremely rare for it to go the other way.....

Well said Mel!

I think we can use Rachel for school nurse, Z for movie nights and TE for our school mascot caretaker (it's a goat, right?)
ROFL

Oh, good one's!:thumbsup2

All the Focker kids I have met are wonderful. (And you can ask Dawn, I really don't like other people's kids. LOL)

Thanks:lovestruc I don't like kids either:lmao:

Whew! I'm caught up! Finally. Dawn just landed! She is on her way home now.

I'm impressed:thumbsup2 Glad Dawn is home safely!

Not too much happened here today. I went grocery shopping because the boys ate ALL our food while I was gone!

Why did I think you were all going??? I didn't realize this was a solo trip:confused3

Tomorrow I am going back to the gym. Walking all over WDW was good exercise but the funnel cakes probably weren't too good.

Funnel Cakes and WDW = Perfect together:lovestruc

I'm not going to have time to upadate before the boards go down.
I hope you are all well!

The boards are going Down????:confused3

Long lost Focker checking in....

I had a very busy weekend, with the big festival at DD7's school Friday night. I got home a little after 11pm and was exhausted and worn out all day Saturday. THe only place I went is to the bank to deposit all the money we made at the festival.

I just caught up on 10+ pages of Focker updates and don't even remember enough to quote. :sad2:

I'll try to remember something tomorrow though.... :rolleyes1

Good morning everyone! I'm up and have the lunches packed. Go me! :woohoo: I'm planning on hitting the gym sometime today. Bob's working from home today so I'll see what time he would prefer that I go. If I stay home I'll want to clean. The boys kept it tidy but the floors are dirty and the bathrooms..........oh, don't ask!

Where's Dawn? I thought she'd be up bright and early!!! LOL

MEL:banana:

Just checking in....:banana:I see things are BACK TO NORMAL.... Mel is up and posting first again...

NO MORE DISNEY FOR YOU MISSY :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

Welcome home Dawn.... !!popcorn::

I'll check back in later AFTER kids get off to school. Sarabeth is still sick but she is going for at least halfa day.

Whew! I'm caught up! Finally.
MEL:banana:

If we had been even slightly chatty you could not have done it..:rotfl2:However we paced ourselves till you Dawn, Jen and Jen got back.

One kid at school ( I took her in today) and one will catch the bus in about 30 minutes.
Need to pick Scott up from the car place shortly so I guess I had better take a 2 minute shower....

Morning, everyone! I made it here before DD7 goes to school! Can you believe it?

Nothing much planned for us today. I've got to get to the gym today. I didn't go yesterday because I spent the entire day waiting for the storm door installation guy from Home Depot. They said he'd be here between 10am and noon, but he showed up at 12:40, right as I was getting ready to go pick DD5 up from preschool. So, of course, I had to come straight back home after getting her instead of going to the gym. Then, it took him so long to install the durn thing that I didn't have time to go after he left. And the kicker is...... he has to come back sometime today!!!! He had to switch around the latch and broke the lockset in the process. So, they brought out a new lockset yesterday afternoon. At some point today, either the same guy or someone different will stop by to put the new one on. Let me just say that I'm not waiting around all day for this. THey'd better give me a specific time and come. :teacher:

I've also gotta finish our taxes today.

Morning all! Not much going on here... just getting things together at work. We're on Day 4 without Leo and I miss him terribly. :sad1:

Got home yesterday and worked out, then had a nice lean dinner and watched Religulous on Pay Per View. LOVED it! :thumbsup2

Oh! And I called yesterday to change my Halloween ressie from SSR to VWL. Woo hoo! Haven't stayed there yet, and I really wanted a MK resort since we'll be at MNSSHP. I tried for BLT, but only wanted the lesser point valued Std. view and there was no availability there. So VWL, here we come!

Happy Tuesday Fockers! :grouphug:

Hi!!!!!

I was too exhausted to make it on here earlier.

Yani and I had a blast in WDW!!!! It was so nice to see Mel and meet Dawn and her adorable kids! :grouphug: I missed both Jens and Angela though. :sad1:

I'll post pics as soon as I can, which will probably be in April. :rolleyes1

I'm caught up thanks to Kristel's updates. :worship:

V: Loved Religulous too :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Janet, how fun for Jimmy to play t-ball. :thumbsup2

Did someone say my name...
I'm up. I'm up. It's so nice to sleep in my bed. :lovestruc It's dark and rainy here and I'm loving it.
Not that people have been beating down my door, but I'm hoping for no showings today.

My MIL is supposed to bring the puppy back today and I can't wait to see him. :yay: I haven't seen him since the 20th when we left for Dallas. :sad1:

I'm going to look for food. BBL.

Ok, 3 times I tried to quote and respond and 3 times I have been interrupted by stupid work:headache:

Hi V - Sorry you are missing Leo:hug: When does he come home?

Dawn - You are back:cool1: Glad you had a great time. Sorry your house didn't sell while you were gone:hug:

Mel - right back into the swing of things - Go Girl:yay:

Hi Z - Welcome back. Glad you had fun too:woohoo:

Katt - Glad Sb was feeling a bit better today:goodvibes

Rosie - Congrats on the free dining

Jo hasn't checked in so she must be playing golf or walking 17 miles;)

CE hasn't checked in either - is your mom still visiting????

=======================================================

Today shold be a fairly quiet day at work :rotfl2: so I will be checking in to see who is around. Making BBQ pulled pork sandwiches for dinner so that will be ready when we get home.

Jim's team won their first game yesterday (Did I tell you all that he is coaching his school's softball team

We started working on Jimmy's peach project. It's really simple. He has to write 5 facts about peaches and be able to talk about them to the class. This will be a good indicator of how things are going with him.

I don't think I told you all we switched Jimmy's psychologist. We just weren't happy with the other one. She wanted to talk to me and Jim and NEVER actually spoke to Jimmy. Kind of hard to diagnose something/one when you dont' talk to them isn't:confused3 We saw the new doctor yesterday and right out of the boc I liked her. She said to me, I want to talk to you today, but after this I want to talk to aJimmy alone. :thumbsup2 There are some things I don't think he tells us becasue he is afraid he will get in trouble:sad2:

Anyway, enough gloominess. Have a great day Fockers and i will checking in on you all.

Love you all:hug:

Hi, Janet. :goodvibes Sounds like a good call on the doctor thing. :thumbsup2

Well, like I said on FB, we went to tour the DVC place. I loved AKV. It was gorgeous. But, the ammenities of BLT is more along the lines of what I'm looking for- monorail, Wishes on the beach...

We wouldn't be able to become DVC owners until the house is sold, so that's what's holding us up. :confused3 The house thing isn't going well, but I still have faith at this point. Talk to me in a few weeks and it may be different. :sad2:

The trip was nice. I tried to balance relaxing with going, so it was nicer than last trip. Knowing we may be back once a year, alllowed me to slow down a bit and think of it as, "We'll do it next time" instead of we'll miss it if we don't hurry. I didn't want to come home so exhausted I didn't want to go back. The 4/3 deal was nice, but I'd have to say that it was about 2 days too long for me. We'll have to think it out better next time. I'm also so done with large sit-down meals every day. It was too much.

Now's your chance, Fockers, what say you- good or bad- for each AKV and BLT? :surfweb: Also, what are your best DVC tips? I know there's a whole board about this topic, but I trust you guys more. And, it's not like this place is hopping anyway. ;)

Missed you guys! :grouphug:

We aren't doing sit down's every day this year Dawn. It's too much for Jimmy. The good thing is that with CS there is enough variety that you don't feeli like all you are eating is burgers and dogs ::yes::

Personally I would go with AK becasue the Contemporary itself does nothing for me. Jimmy loves animals, so that's the route I would go. Go with what makes you happy.

I know, everyone is over at FB, but I can't do much on FB here at work becasue the system is soooooooooooooooooooooo slooooooooooooooooow!

Missed you guys! :grouphug:

Missed you too...why do you think I texted so much;)

Space mountain rehab...from the Orlando Slantinel!
http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/business_tourism_aviation/2009/03/disney-files-notice-that-space-mountain-rehab-is-about-to-begin.html

Well, I shared this with you on the phone but it bears repeating. When planning and counting points for various stays/length/resorts remember that to book Sun-Thurs is LOW pts. Adding in Friday will up it (the two large pt. days are Friday and Sat.) but that makes it Sun-Sat am and that's a pretty good length of a trip.

Learn about each resort, though the BLT is on a monorail and close the other DVC's have their own plusses! Like BWV and BCV are within walking distance to Epcot. And only a boat ride from DHS. That is really nice when the kids are a bit older! SSR is close to DTD and Typhoon Lagoon and it's a very relaxing resort. It's got the nicest "small" pools too, I think.

You can have your groceries delivered when you have a DVC room, since you have a fridge and stove/oven. Even if you aren't there yet, they'll store them in the fridge/freezer for you and then bring them up to your room when you arrive! I get stuff that's good for bfast and snacks/lunch. Then we have only one big meal in the park. The kids actually prefer it this way.

I'll let you know if I think of more.
