I was in my email - Yahoo - just now and an IM popped up form my step-mother. First of all, since when does Yahoo automatically set up IM's to come through?

So now I get an IM form her all of a sudden saying "Hi! It's been so long since we've talked!" Bleeaahhh. I just closed the window so I wouldn't say something truly nasty in reply.

That is bizarre... why after all this time...
and Her finding you on Yahoo like that...

Kat - are you awake???? I talked to Jim and I'm good to go for the 6th of August. If you guys are gonna definitely go let me know. Should I preregister? You can do that now on the website you gave me. I won't stay overnight, since I live for WDW the next day, but I will drive up early Saturday and come home Saturday evening. It's only about an hour and 20 minute drive for me!

I'm back! We had a fabulous time, of course! Mitch was so relaxed with no cell phones and cell service. I so wanted to book another cruise while on board, but the one we want only has dates until next Feb. and for some reason M wants to wait until next October. I have to get all my pictures organized and then I'll post some. Today I'm off for lunch with, Mel, Dawn, Jen V, and I'm not sure who else. I wish you all were going to be there too.

Not much going on here. I'm still pondering the Great Breakfast Conundrum. I don't even know why I want to book a bfast, other than having read other's dining reports and thinking it sounded fun. And it would be nice to be inside a park before opening just once...

Leo had his riding lesson last night and two interesting things happened:
1. Gramma offered to pay for his next package of 8 lessons! I just shelled out a ton of money for horse camps this summer and didn't have the money to pay for another package of lessons yet. Gramma stepped up and covered it so Leo can keep riding for the next month+.

2. Leo cantered! I wasn't there - Gramma took him because my allergies are beyond horrendous this week. She said he cantered for about half a lap around the riding ring and proclaimed it "AWESOME!"

Second, this woman was horrible to me when I was young, spoke nothing but ill about my dad's family, and I've since learned said some really awful and untrue things about me to them. I actually slept!!!! For 7 hours- IN A ROW! I feel so much more human today. I worked my butt of with the closets yesterday that today is going to be spent relaxing, for the most part. I need to sweep and start prepping the kitchen for the big overhaul tomorrow but thats it. I wanna Animal Cross till I drop! LOL.

Katt - Preregistering doesn't cost anything and there is no penalty if you wind up not attending, so it might be a good idea for you to preregister. You don't have to pay anything until they actually open up the registration.

You should be able to turn yahoo messenger off. I never turn mine on.

Have to share my interviewing experience with my Fockes !!!!!

Interviewed this "person" who had female clothes, a wig that moved during the interview, pencilledin eyebrows etc etc , kinda a husky but feminine voice ! Now there I sit across the table trying to respectfully look at "person" We are not allowed to ask many things (by law) such as race and male or female !! We left the later blank as we weren't sure !!!
I toldthe HR director she needed to add a box ....UNSURE!!!!!

PS we liked all the answers and put the application thru but that wig and the boxes we had to check were too much for us ! I don't care what they are I would just like to be able to check the right box !!

Well I guess if they get hired you'll be able to find out?

Ok, this is my last post before my trip. Really!!!

I'm packed. I tucked Gus into bed. SD will be going there shortly. I have to leave the house at 5 am. Ugh! However, that's a small price to pay for being in FL by 9:30 am!!!!

Well I wasn't online last night as Jess dropped my laptop and it wouldn't work, she was in floods of tears saying she'd buy me a new one etc etc. I tried everything and it switched on but said couldn't find operating system. I tried again this morning and still nothing. So me being me I opened up the back and noticed the hard drive had come slightly off so I pushed it back on and voila it worked that saved me about $800 for a new one And Jess will be so relieved, it's taught her a lesson though. She was using my laptop on her lap and leaned to get her drink and it fell on the floor. She said she won't be using it again!!!!

Very pretty flower and sorry about Jess and the laptop. At least you were able to get it to work again!

Not much planned for me today. Both kids are in shcool and I need to seach for their library books. I just cleaned the toy room this weekend so I know they are not in the pile of books we have in there. I'm so hoping they didn't take them when they went with their dad and left in the hotel room. He's done this before so I wouldn't be surprised.

I need to figure out what classes I'm going to be taking this summer and fall. Registration is coming up for me in April and I'm excited. Plus, I need to find out about my financial aid stuff. I received a letter for Spring Quarter and what I would be awarded but won't be attending so I hope I to find out about summer here shortly. I've never had to deal with financial aid before so this is a whole new world for me.

Freaking fan-tastic - this day just keeps on getting better... I went outside for 2 minutes to get something from my car - come back and there's a voicemail form Leo's teacher saying there's been a problem and it hit a point today where it needed immediate attention. Something about making "inappropriate choices." No number to call her back - she'll call me later.

WTH? He's come home every day - EVERY day! - for 2 weeks with excellent marks on his behavior; not a single word has been said about any problems. Urrrrggghhh.

I've just had a look at the thread about it and I think it's only 08 Moms going, so far Erin, Bret, Beth and Kim. You can see their photos at www.disneyworldmoms.com I've met them all except Erin. Maybe some of my 09ers will go too though!

I don't have time for a full explanation, but Leo's got some problems with school and it seems to boil down to a class full of mean kids. I don't really think he's being bullied exactly, but he's just closing up and refusing to participate in activities to avoid them and their mean ways. Apparently the teacher has tried all she can and these kids are just nasty. With 2 months left and a new school next year, there's not a whole lot I can do. He's doing fine academically, so we'll talk tonight and hopefully help him have faith to open up to his teacher, if no one else. It's breaking my heart.

I've got you V. You know the CRAP( and I DO MEAN C R A P ) that I have been dealing with this year with Sarabeth and the girls SHE HAS BEEN TO SCHOOL WITH for 6 years. Sarabeth did some of that ... just shutting down and almost appearing snobby. You don't want to go where you are not wanted.
Sorry Leo is having this problem. I understand your frustration.. I really do.

ANGIE is back. Sounds like she had a very relaxing time. She is working on pictures to post. She is having lunch with Mel, Jen V and Dawn. Glad you are back and had a great time!

CE has a hard time prioritizing her boring menial life with her energetic, exciting one. I hope you did well in tennis!

V's Leo is quite the equestrian. His grams is so impressed she's paying for some more lessons. Her estranged/strange step mom popped up on her yahoo messenger out of the blue. Leo is having some trouble with mean kids at school.

JODI's Wii is yelling at her! She is taking the kids to the Y for swimming.

JANET said Mel has landed. She is very busy at a job she may not be able to keep. That is very frustrating.

KAT slept for 7 hours straight!!!! She feels great! I think I lost a vampin' buddy! She said she was going to play Animal Crossing 'til she dropped.

Lori is trying to figure out what classes to take this Summer/Fall. She is learning about financial aid for the first time too! Good luck with the classes and the money.

Dreamin' I'll keep the updates coming as long as I can. I'm glad to see you check in. I hope everything is OK.

I couldn't sleep today. Too much to get done. I didn't go to sleep until 7AM and was up at 10AM. I finished taking down some curtains and washing them. Then I messed around on the computer, took a short nap, then the phone rang.

The window guy called and said they'll be here at 830AM tomorrow. So I went outside and took off all the storm windows. Yep that's how old my windows are. They are aluminum so we'll turn them in to recycling for some cash. I'll have to get up at least an hour before they get here to finish taking down the curtains in the living room and my bedroom. Sounds like they will get it done in a day. I hope so.

Doug called the dealership to clarify the money on the truck/plow. Good boy! He is going tomorrow to pick it up. I forgot he had a doctor appt. today. Just his family doc for his annual. He is at the grocery store right now. I can't go shopping or anything tomorrow since I don't know when the window guys will be done. So he said he'd just get it done tonight. Double good boy!

I'm going to try to go to bed early. Since I haven't had much sleep, I'm hoping I can do it. I'll probably wake up at 3AM. Gotta watch the Ghost Hunters first!
