I think I'm back in action, Fockers. How's it going? I was able to catch a few tidbits:

I'm glad you're feeling better - great update as always.

So we called the other roofing co. This is the guy that knows/related to my DH. We told him we wanted windows too. Got everything figured and written up. For the roof repair and the windows I am paying under $6000. That is half of what I've seen from others. I have 12 windows. Only 5 are the same size.

Oh, that's awesome! We need windows, too - ours are just awful, seal wise and are original to the house - 70's crappy! :rotfl:

We had a great time the other night. We ended up not bowling. But the place we went does do bowling, but you can also just hang out at the bar/lounge area and it was ladies night so we got free champagne! :thumbsup2 Afterwards we went to a bar nearby for some Karaoke. :mic:
It was fun and we had a great time.

That sounds fun! :goodvibes

I work this weekend and then next week I'm off to Puerto Rico for my little brother's birthday. :woohoo: Can't wait!

Ooh, cool!

Good Morning Fockers!

Kids are dressed and I have to take Linds to school in about 10 minutes and it's NOT freezing outside!

I know! It's 37 here already!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hope y'all have a wonderful Friday!:cutie:

You, too!

Thanks for the help on the airport stuff, Mel. I can't believe I need to know that stuff!!! It's so soon!!!!!

You know if you need advice on the heater stuff who to call, right? ;) Kirt's always happy to help the girls who's buying the first round of Lapus... :lmao:
You're welcome. And, yes, I know to ask K! Bob fixed it though! He replaced the thermostat and that was the problem! Ironically, it's too warm today to need heat! :confused3

the beach won my focker poll hands down!! i think you're all right. i need a relaxing trip!
Yay Beach! You definitely deserve a beach break. :goodvibes

I can ask him to reimburse me but it doesn't mean that he will. It's like him texting me this afternoon saying he was going to call the kids tonight but then not following through. (He deserves another  on that one)I can send him the receipt to show it was paid for but I can't go into his account and transfer the money to me. He's basically an a$$. :headache: :sad2:

Your chicken salad sounds sooooooooo good though! I bought an Asian salad mix from the store the other day and have yet to try it out. From what the package said it sounds like it would be right up my alley though.
I hear you. My father was a deadbeat. He owed my mom 40K in support by the time we graduated h.s. He never paid. If my husband did that, I'd hunt him down and kill him. Just sayin.....:rolleyes1
And the salad was DELISH.

IHe will get the roof done next week. As soon as the windows get in he will call me. :woohoo:

I go to get our taxes prepped on Monday. :sad1: I know I will owe the state. I'm hoping I won't owe the Feds.

What's everbody going to be up to this weekend?
Glad you have an answer on the roof. Great price too! We ALWAYS owe both state and fed. This is the beauty of owning your own business.
I'm happy to hear that you feel better, too.

We ended up not bowling. But the place we went does do bowling, but you can also just hang out at the bar/lounge area and it was ladies night so we got free champagne! :thumbsup2 Afterwards we went to a bar nearby for some Karaoke. :mic:

Wow Z! I can't wait to see your photos of P.R. Bob has an aunt that lives there. I keep hoping we'll visit someday. Only 19 days till I see you!!!

I don't know what he's afraid of? It's not like any of my family and friends would attack him or anything. :rolleyes1
Are you SURE?? LOL!!

I know! It's 37 here already!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
It says 55 on my thermometer! How bout that????? Glad you are getting the "warmer" temps too. Gosh it's been a long winter!

Another busy day today. I am working at the library until 10:30 and then picking SD up. He has a half day at school today and I'm taking him and his friends for pizza. Then home to do some laundry and then pick up Gus.

It's supposed to be 60 today but rainy. Bummer. I hope everyone has a great day!
MEL:banana:

Rachel wants to move again!- to Florida!- in a couple of years if all goes well. Right now she can't make up her mind where to stay on vacation down there. Should be fun to watch her pick out where to live one day.:rotfl: ;) (Mums the word on FB)

Thanks for caring, guys. I felt rotten. I'm over the worst of it. I'm still a bit achy in my back but no more 15 minute toilet visits. I went back to work tonight.

first, :worship: on the recap, you rock!

second , :lmao: you are so right about my decision making!!!!

third, glad you feel better

fourth, great news on the roof / windows.

fifth, hoping you owe the feds nothin!

Rachel: I would've voted the beach too. Universal is good when the kids are in their tweens/teens IMO.
I work this weekend and then next week I'm off to Puerto Rico for my little brother's birthday. :woohoo: Can't wait!
yeah, universal looked a little too old for my youngest.

karyoke sounded fun! any videos lingering out ther???

oooohhh, have fun in pr. where are you going? i have a friend from hs that lives in san juan.

Kids are dressed and I have to take Linds to school in about 10 minutes and it's NOT freezing outside!
i know, it actually nice out!!!! :cheer2:

I know! It's 37 here already!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Wow! One of my FB friends from "home" in IL has a status this morning that says something about 69 as a high there today. I am pleased with 44 predicted. ;) What bums me out now is that the 10 day (and I know that's not terribly accurate) puts us back in the 30's and possible snow showers for next weekend, when Dr. Belle will be visiting. :headache: And she's where is supposed to be 69 today - she won't be happy! :rotfl:

See, I'll even take the rain, as it usually helps melt off the snow... :rolleyes1

We caught up on most of our DVR'ed shows last night - just have last night's now, to do.

I'm doing my normal Friday morning volunteering, then I really don't have much planned. I need to go shower for that here pretty soon.

Hope you all have a good day! :grouphug:

Good morning... :goodvibes Yeah! It's Friday!!!
It's a normal busy Friday for us, but I also have an appointment to get my hormone test results. Then this weekend, we have a family picnic, and a meeting with the realtor. We also have a dinner planned with K's family Saturday. We're supposed to have the house ready to list Monday, but I'm starting to think it maybe be Tuesday or Wednesday.
We still have to patch all the holes from curtains and pictures, paint over them, and clean the carpets in the high traffic areas. Not to mention, I still have a few boxes in 3-4 rooms that need to get packed up. :headache: I'm so tired too. I've been resting the past few days because I'm so tired, but then I couldn't sleep last night. :sad2:

Have a good Friday! :cloud9: I'll check back in later this afternoon.

Morning! Nothing exciting to report around here... which is GOOD these days, right?! I'll be up early tomorrow to make "rope drop" for summer camp registration, then we might play some mini-golf. Sun. has BEACH written all over it! :beach:

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Hey all :wave2:. Crazy busy today. We are "reorganizing" the deaprtment and are in the process of transferring 48,000 cases :faint: However, before we can transfer them we have to review each and every one:sad2: It is a massive undertaking!
:faint: Good luck!

YAY! Lucky you! Although I shouldn't be complaining either since we'll be getting into the 60's.
Wow, that's warm for OH in early March, isn't it? Yay!

Oh, I forgot to tell you all. Jimmy got another medal for reading another 100 books! He is actually up to 256:banana:
Yay Jimmy! :cheer2:

:tiptoe:

I got offered a job.

Bye y'all.
Say what?!?! Where? Doing what? Huh?!?! popcorn::

i think i've decided st. pete beach. do you think it will be really spring break-y 4/6- 4/9? i just can't find a hotel i like that's available on the northern shores.
Yes and no... not at all like we tend to think of Spring Break - not MTV or Ft. Lauderdale-ish at all. SPB is very family-oriented, so it may have lots of people visiting at that time, and some may be teenagers/college kids visiting with family, but not crazy at all. :thumbsup2
ok v, i'm posing another question to you.....

i found a room beach front at double tree in north redington with 2 queen beds...............

or similar hotel st. pete beach.

same price ...........................

which is less spring break-y??? which one better for families??

also, is north redington just as nice a beach as st. pete. (as far as nice sand and ocean water)

my husband got spoiled by the beaches at cozumel and now tries to compare all beaches to this... i told him , we're going to florida , not mexico........so deal. ;) :rotfl2:
That's a tough call, I have to admit! Here's the big differences I see:

SPB: lots of shops, hotels, restaurants, etc. Not Spring Break-y, but busy and commercial. Wide beaches - lots of space between the edge of sand and the Gulf.

N. Redington: smaller overall, with lots more residential on the beach. Some hotels, but fewer shops, restaurants, etc. Quiet and narrower beach.

Sand is probably the same at both; it's all dredged from the Gulf, so there isn't a lot of difference up and down the barrier islands.

Hope that helps!

Hey guys! :goodvibes

Been a long week....

Waldo had surgery yesterday - everything went great, he's home and resting. :thumbsup2 Not a very patient patient, though. He's driving us nuts. No shower until tomorrow means no shower until tomorrow. No going up and down stairs means no going up and down stairs. Bed rest for 72 hours, means just THAT! :sad2:

Today is TE's birthday. :cake: We've postponed any celebrating until Sunday when hopefully, Waldo's feeling better.

Been working on our August plans, though. Trying to find somewhere to eat on our AK day. I've read pretty bad review on Tusker House for dinner and the breakfast was OK, not really wanting to return. Thought about Boma, but BTDT, trying to find something different, but the pickin's are slim. Any suggestions?

Hope everyone is doing well - all around! Miss you guys!! :grouphug:

Kat: I need you to come and cut down a tree on AC - you'll reap great benefits. Whatever that means! :confused3 Let me know when you'll be playing.

Hey darlin's. :teeth:

The job I interviewed for is in San Antonio with the school system. They offered me a sizable bonus if I came now and didn't wait until next school year.

I haven't accepted the position yet. I need to go down and visit and do some investigating. ::yes::

Love and miss y'all.

Will you wish her a happy birthday from me? Waldo's a trip - of course he's trying to wander already! ;)
