Hi Janet and everyone else! I should have introduced myself... I'm Lisa, a FT School Psychologist, mom to Emmaline (1) and DH is Brad. He has a DIS sn, but never uses it. I do all the trip planning, ie: chatting.

I'm home sick today, vomiting, the whole nine yards. I've been working on taxes (which still aren't done), cleaning (my parents are coming from out of town) and laundry (which never, ever ends).

DD, DH and I were sick all weekend, but DD made it to daycare today and DH to work, so it's just me and my 2 feline friends, Licorice and Rumpelstiltskin. I'm enjoying the quiet today, despite my coughing and other issues.
Hi Lisa!
Welcome to Focker Land! :thumbsup2
I'm TE.......or Tracy on Facebook and in real life........but you can call me the Supreme Leader for short! :lmao:

I have 2 kids........and 2 children......HA! A goat joke!

Ab is 15.............and oh BTW Janet---she has her learners now---she gets her license in October.......I'll alert all Virginia drivers prior to that!
And BA is 12.
I am a professional cheer mom and I work PT as a dietitian at a nursing home (which I really love).

I don't think we've had a school psychologist, have we??? We probably need one---we talk about our kids a lot.......wait........nope.......Jen's a school speech therapist.....anyway, chat away!

Does it smell funny to them? :confused:

:
:confused3

Breaking news............3 goats have been spotted in the new barn............Noodles, Tumnus, and Tragos by the look of them...........stay tuned for further developments...........

thanks for the update supreme leader!:worship:

Well I'm back from the Dr...

Remember on Sunday in my attempt to get a shoe I took off some layers of bandages. STUPID!!!!!:headache:

I thought it was to keep the stitches clean well it was , but it was also to help with the swelling, something about compression??:confused:

So my foot is so swollen he left the stitches in (which makes showering a pain since I can't get them wet, I wrap my foot in saran wrap to start with.)

He did however say I can drive with the special shoe as my foot is strong enough for that.:thumbsup2

SO I go back Monday and hopefully will get them out then.

So he is re-wrapping the foot and I can't really see as he puts a screen up ( I don't like to look). I can tell he is doing extra wrapping so I ask if he is super glueing it on. No, but he put a big piece of surgical tape on top with a note DO NOT TOUCH. Smart a$$.:rolleyes:

So how many of you watched the Housewives of NJ intro show.

My mother knows the mother of the husbands who own the catering business, the Brownstone. The mother (was widowed when the kids were young, husband was mob and found in the trunk of a car) married a good friend of my parents, his first wife and him even hosted anniversary dinners for my parents at their house. The mother married into a family very different family then her own, complete opposite (one of her step kids is a priest). I wonder if the mother and step father will be on the show. I have to ask Murph to ask them.

To show you all what a small world, the mother lives in the town I grew up in and lives very close to T2.

T2 - PM and I will tell you where if you're interested.

******************************

Mel - good luck with eyes and sorry about the stress, so many people are getting hit like that. From what I was told yesterday, they are laying off a few more tomorrow, no one in my area, but still, very hard to see.

V - I have a few family members in education and the stories I hear are just pitiful, what happened to the Fockers setting up our own community and us taking care of our own.:grouphug:

Dawn - fingers crossed

TE - breathless with anticipation:rotfl2:

Hi to everyone else

Guess who has an offer being sent over tonight? :yay:
Woo-Hoo!!!
I know that feeling!! :cool1:
Do you like the conditions and such??

:rotfl2:
thanks for the update supreme leader!:worship:

you are most welcome!

I called Daran to let him know too.......

Has ANYONE seen Katt??
Janet---can u text her? I don't have her #.

_______________
Oh----hey Jo---I finished the "shopaholic and baby" CD---it was FAB! :lmao:
But I have questions..........
.....how much is 30 pea? (she bought a pizza)
.....how much is 40 quid? (she bought something big...can't remember what)

Buenos Nachos, everyone! :wave2:

Been a crayzay week here, and it's only Tuesday!! Evan decided to spike a fever last night, which I thought was weird since I thought his cold was allergy related and not necessarily a virus. Yeah, I bet you all didn't know I was and MD, right? :lmao: Anyway, it's been fun. :rolleyes:

Maddie's driving me nuts! She wants a new game for her DS "Gardening Mama" and I refuse to run out to the store and buy it just because she wants it. :sad2: So she's pulled out all her piggy bank money and searching all the drawers and couches for change. :rotfl: Poor little girl. She's got a gallon ziploc full of coins, so she's having Andy take her to the coinstar to see if she's got $30. :rotfl2: I know, I'm mean - but jeez, they just got a bunch of Easter crap. :rolleyes:

Morning everyone! Notice I didn't say "good". I think I finally caught the virus that's going through the Fockers. Thank goodness it's not the stomach virus, but just a sinus thing. My head is all stuffed up and I can't think straight. I've got the fuzzy head thing going on. So, if I type something crazy, that's my excuse!
Oh no! Feel better Jodi! :goodvibes

Hi everyone, IM BACK T-Im glad Maddie was ok and got to school ok.WOW SCARY!!How is waldo doing, when is his surgery.
Hiya, T2! :wave: Waldo's surgery is in about 2 weeks, thanks for asking.
MY BABY Bashful decided this trip he was NOT going to miss out on ANYTHING. He is just barely 40 inches so we told him he may have some problems and he wasnt taking no for an answer.
OK ...NO FLAMES HERE...I would NEVER put my child in ANY danger..
He rode BTMRR and loved it so next we went to SPLASH the CM said he could not go as he wasnt tall enough(you could MAYBE squeeze a stick of gum between him and the top bar. Bashful was MAD. So P thought of a quick fix..I had socks with me in the stroller and we took 2 maps and folded them up and stuck them in his socks and then put on the socks and crocs. Bashful went up and measured just fine and was able to ride BTMRR,SPLASH,TT,SOARIN,DINOSAUR with no problem at all thanks to as he called them his"MAGIC SOCKS"
Yeah, like I'm gonna flame you. You do recall Evan's "magic shoes 2007"... allegedly. :rolleyes1

Turns out the EARLIEST we would depart was MIDNIGHT but more likely after that. I was not sitting around an apt for that long with 2 kids. We just booked a flt for Sunday(Easter) and then went to re-rent a car and headed back to DISNEY!!!
OH and it was COLD for 3 days--we had on fleece jackets and pants!!!
Dude! I want to travel with the T2 Family! :banana:

Crazy day at work. I have been meetings all morning and am on my way to another one. I had a few minutes inhale my egg salad sandwich and check in with you all. It's raining and miserable here.
Hi Janet! Mmmm... egg salad. :teeth:

Hello! I'd like to join TFW. I never knew this existed and what a shame. I need to add some lime green in my life. DD has a diaper with limes on it. I think that's all we have here.

Just wondering how many TFW's have you seen at Disney? How many times have you given the sign to be given another sign or dirty look in response? How do I know if the person is a DIS'er or is just crazy for lime green?
Hi Lisa :welcome: I'm Tracy, but since we have about 4 Tracy's they just call me "T". I'm a SAHM of Maddie 7 & Evan 4, we live in So. Cal.
Hi Janet! Thanks for worrying about me. The weather alarm went off at 5.30 this morning and continued to go off until I left the house at 10. It hadn't started raining when I left, but, of course, it poured whilst I was in the car. I think the worst is over by now though.
Good to know you're ok, Angela. :thumbsup2
:Linds went back to school today. DR is taking a nap on the couch after taking some allergy meds. The cat is curled up next to him. The weather here is so crappy. I want sun!
WHat kind of meds is he on, Lori? I need to find Evan something - his allergies are horrid this month. I used to use Claratin, but it sucks. I'm trying Zyrtak (sp?) now, but it doesn't seem to very affective. :confused3
They have been keeping me busy at work today. I will check back in later.
Dude, you're one busy momma! :faint:
I know. : But seeing as my AP is blocked that day and I do get in for free because of my birthday I don't really see the incentive, because the next day I can go for free too since the AP is unblocked. So that's what I'm planning. My brother's girlfriend's bday is Sunday so we're all (including my mom) gonna go to Disney Sat & Sun. Plus all the hotel rates go down in price the 18th.
Sounds like fun, Z. Sux about being blocked out on your birthday. I am, too. Stupid Disney!
Hi! Bye!
I read everyone's comments but I can't focus enough to respond. My appt. went well. The pressure is up to 19, which Dr. Seigle is NOT thrilled about, but he said to come back in 2 months. We'll talk about more surgery then. Not my favorite answer, but at least I get 2 months.
Well, I'm happy you didn't get poked in the eye, Mel.
It's just so stressful to try to work out how to live on 3/4 of our monthly budget. I worry about what that means we'll have to cut. I mean, if that amount is almost a house payment, do you stop paying that? LOL NO!!! But, you have to add up the little, NOT necessary-but oh so nice extras, that you have (like Dish, Cell, Broadband, Movies/dinner out, DVC, gym membership etc) to even come CLOSE to that amount! So frustrating!!!!
Nooooooo!!! Not DVC!!!! :faint:

And worse, I might have to get a job.
Como say WHAT??? :scared: is right!

I'm completely joking, I'm sure you know that. I hear you though. :hug:
so im home sick...i hear someone come i the house(a friend of the other boys no doubt) so i go to take my cereal bowl to the kitchen and there is one of the guys setting up for band practice: yes theyve decided to try and start a rock band. And they cant be normal and go in the garage or something...they have to do it right in the middle of the living room! not to mention after they started this, the pg&e bill shot up by $80! ( dont worry i wasnt here much that month so i made the other 2 boys split it themselves;)) So i asked him if they could keep it down, but who knows how that will go.

yes...my house is full of dirty loud boys, and pizza boxes. This is the same guy that delivers pizzas. They randomly have friends crash here for a week and i never go into either of the living rooms. I have been confined to my bedroom and sometimes the kitchen. oh and not to mention when i got back from florida they had put a hole in one of the walls! he tried to fix it poorly. I refuse to pay anything out of my portion of the security deposit after living with these fools! I wanted to leave and move out with marc in june, but marc wants to wait until september when the lease ends so we can save some more money. How will i last another 3 months here...what? its 5 months!
I'm sorry, but this made me :lmao: It's like a real life "I LOVE MY BOYS" episode. Anyone ever watch that? :lmao:
He did have a better day today, though. He had music class, which he loves, and they had a guest musician come in to teach them about African drum music. Leo decided that he wants to be an "African man" when he grows up.
:rotfl2: Oh and of course a :hug:
just checking in quickly before heading back to work.
Hey Dental Floss killer! How are you??
Well I'm back from the Dr...

Remember on Sunday in my attempt to get a shoe I took off some layers of bandages. STUPID!!!!!
Oh no! Feel better soon Mo! :hug:

First of all....

Mel - :hug::hug::hug: You're not being whiny, honey. I'd feel the same way if Eric had to take a pay cut. Feel free to vent as much as you want.

Mo - Sorry to hear your foot still hurts! :hug::hug: Try following the doctor's orders this time! :rotfl2: LY/MI! :laughing:

Lisa - Hi! Welcome to our crazy group! It's hard to stay caught up with us sometimes, but this group of ladies (and a few men sometimes) are great! I'm Jodi, a SAHM to two girls, ages 5 & 7. We live in Indianapolis. I keep busy helping my DH run a home based web hosting business and volunteering at DD7's school as PTO Treasurer.

:rolleyes:

This is so totally DD5! She's driving me crazy! Every time we go to the store she expects me to buy her something!! My mom sent both girls $10 for Easter and she was mad at me today because everything she wanted costs more than $10. I told her that if she helped me clean around the house, she could earn more money to buy whatever she wanted. I'm not buying toys for no reason anymore!

DD7 used to be on both Claritin and Singulair and the combination worked great. Then, our insurance changed and the Singulair went to about $106 per month! So, she's back on Claritin by itself. Right now it's working okay for her. I just started DD on Claritin, but I agree that it's not working very well. I bought some Zyrtec but she says it tastes worse than the generic Claritin. So, I don't know what I'm going to do about her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I'm headed to do homework with DD7 and then get the girls ready for bed. Gotta watch Loser tonight (and probably eat Easter candy while watching them workout!). Then I'll probably catch Idol on DVR. Eric's got class until 10pm and I'll probably be asleep before he gets home! I'm feeling a bit better, but still tired and sneezy!
Have a good night everyone!
Next year you'll be fantastic, this was your first year wasn't it :hug:
Thank you, and yes. I hope so!
I've been sick for the past 2 days. yuk! Its basically just the yukkies. When i stand or move around i get nauseous, but aside from that ive just been very fatigued. :headache: I hate missing classes, not im gonna have to play catch up!
I'm so sorry!
And worse, I might have to get a job. :scared1:
I'm really so sorry. (Though I'm glad about the eye for now!) I can't imagine what we'd do - well, I can, but I wouldn't like it. :hug:
How will i last another 3 months here...what? its 5 months! :faint:
Good luck, Sam. :hug:
Leo decided that he wants to be an "African man" when he grows up. :rotfl:
what kind of park doesn't have swings!:confused3
I'm sorry, I know you're sick, but that made me laugh.
Breaking news............3 goats have been spotted in the new barn............Noodles, Tumnus, and Tragos by the look of them...........stay tuned for further developments...........
It's a start!!! :rotfl:
Guess who has an offer being sent over tonight? :yay:
How is it??? :cool1::cool1::cool1:
*******************************************
Sorry, I started this as I was making dinner, and then the timer dinged and the window's been sitting up for well over an hour. So, I'll probably have to go back and read more.
I had to quickly go vote after we ate - it's our town council and school board election day. Also the town clerk... There's a story. The incumbent is a perfectly nice woman who's been clerk for 14 years. The challenger is a former councilman who got KICKED OFF the council for assaulting another member. :sad2: He's such a donkey butt, and he seems to have no idea what the job entails. :scared:
Anyway, I felt like I really had to go vote for her, if nothing else. :rotfl2: (I voted on the other stuff, too.)
OK, now to go see what I've missed in the past hour... popcorn::
I apparently deleted everything you said T:confused: So hi :wave2:
=======================================================
Home from work. Tomorrow I am in training all day. It should be interesting it's being given by the feds and it is called Mexican Drug Trafficking Organizations. THe only bad part is I will not be a computer all day:eek:
Mine and Jimmy's new crocs came today:yay: Mine are really comfy and Jimmy loves his Scooby Doo one's:thumbsup2
You're not being mean. I feel the same way, and I have the big freakin' twin birthday coming up in 13 days. I have nowhere to put more carp. :sad2:
Have a good night everyone!
You, too!
Hi! What area of the country are you in? :)
Lovely eastern PA
Well gotta go pick up my sister from the hotel. She is staying with us. Parents are staying in a hotel now. Dad got sick 3 times on the way down. Apparently, the flu crosses state lines.
Jimmy takes just Clairitin and seems to be working (fingers crossed)
Gotta watch Loser tonight (and probably eat Easter candy while watching them workout!).
I'll be watching too. Ron is getting on my last nerve now
Sorry about the family sickness! :eek:
Northern or Southern eastern PA? :) We often drive through Wilkes-Barre, etc. on the way to IL to see our moms. We drive all the way down 81 to get to my FIL's in eastern TN, though. :thumbsup2
:hug: I guess I'm just luck, Jimmy loves to looks but rarely asks for anything.
Yes, you are! A trip to Target with the kids is just asking for trouble. :sad2:
And does he think people are really going to vote for him. Or are they like here and just vote for him anyway:sad2:
I'm really fearful that he just has name recognition, you know? "Oh, I know that name... "
Yeah, because he's an insane person! :rotfl2:
Forgot to quote you earlier Sam....:headache:on the yucky boys and I hope you feel better. Hope it's not too hard for you to catch up at school!
I'm really fearful that he just has name recognition, you know? "Oh, I know that name... "
Yeah, because he's an insane person! :rotfl2:
Exactly. I swear the people here get re-voted in all the time only becasue they know the name. They have no clue if they are any good or not:sad2:
I had quotes. Really I did. I had a whole bunch. Dang.
T: Sorry about Evan being sick. Poor kiddo. We use Zyrtek here, seems to do a good job. :confused3 Thanks for the positive vibes. I can work, I used to work, I just don't WANNA work. Rofl.
Janet: Omg, Pea and quid....funny! Sorry you have to go to Mexican drug school. Be careful! :lmao:
CE: Thanks and you're right. I know what I might have to do too. I'm not too happy about it. We had a similar election problem here not too long ago. Thankfully, the guy in question didn't win!
Sam: Sorry about the boys and the swings. Hope you feel better!
:welcome: to the newbie! I'm Mel. I have two boys, 16 and 11, and a great husband named NotBob. (His name is Not Bob) We live in Michigan now but are originally from Mass. I love gummy bears. And the nanner. :banana:
MO: Thanks, I'm doing great. No issues at all. AND YOU LITTLE LADY......not soooooo much! Leave the dang bandages alone! Listen to your Dr.!!!!! I will drive to NJ if I have to. (I have family there!)
(How'd I do????)
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((&&&)))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Ok, got one kid in bed. Gotta go chase the other one. I'm tired.
I am going to pour a glass of wine and curl up in bed with a book. Tomorrow i am going to the gym and I'm going to ride the bike. I missed it so much the last week and a half. That should improve my BAD mood.
It's pouring down rain outside. April showers bring May flowers though, so no gloomy whining.
LY guys.
Have a great night!
MEL:banana:
Oh, I know. I can't imagine trying to decide the little things to go. :hug:
I'm glad your crazy guy didn't win. The election, being merely local, apparently had a small turnout, and the polls have been closed for an hour, but I can't find any results! :rotfl:
Uh, my FB thing has now encouraged me to do a little spring cleaning of a personal nature. My friend numbers are dropping like flies... :snooty:
