The doctor asked me a few questions, pressed on my belly a bit and pronounced his diagnosis that I've got an angry valve between my small and large intestines.

so my Gwenie has to stay at the vet tonight.. they have to sedate her and clean her ear out.. they didnt see a fox tail but they said there was alot of puss and its irritated.. poor baby... shes gunna think we abandoned her.. i took off her collar at home because i thought thats what was bothering her and it didnt get beack on before the appt and when we left the vet had us take her harness adn leash too...

Well Focker Friends I am 9 days from lift off. I'll be working this Labor day weekend. Thankfully, I'm off Tues., Wed., Thurs. We pick up the rental car Fri. eve.

Since we only count work days and don't count today or the day of departure, you're down to THREE Fuzzy days!!!

I'M DONE WITH SCHOOL FOR THREE WEEKS!!!!!

Of course, I'll spend much of that 3 weeks getting a head start on my next classes, but still.

That may be true, but you weren't up in the middle of the night to welcome her home! I was, unfortunately. Just called the doctor to see if there is something he can give me for the pain. It hurt so much in the middle of the night and I just couldn't find a comfortable position. I'm hoping today things will start to get better.

I think you need to take an hour's drive up north during your long weekend, V. If I lived that close and had a day off and an annual pass, I know where I'd be!

He doesn't think it's infected yet, since I don't have a fever. But that could definitely happen. How did they treat you?

I had a round of antibiotics. I found that motrin (if your Dr. Says it is ok) really helped with the pain, but you have to follow the directions and take it with food. I never had a fever. I wound up having a scan of my belly and it showed up on that.


It is so painful and so exhusting. Make sure you treat yourself sweetly and try not to do too much.

Yay! Your body will thank you. I miss tennis - LOVED playing, but on a particularly good serve I tore my rotator cuff. Only I didn't know I tore it, just thought it was a bad pull. So I did nothing. A YEAR later, I mentioned it to my Dr. - she did xrays - and it was healed, but with a bunch of scar tissue. Scar tissue doesn't stretch, so tennis, golf and the like are mostly out. Unless I learn how to be a lefty.

Oh, I'm sorry. Ouch! And yep, my feet were happy!

I watched a bit of the US Open last night, and one of my boys from the University of Illinois gave him a run in the third set, though! The kid just looked SO happy whenever he scored!

Well, my baby survived her first day of Kindy and had bunches of fun.

I'm glad she liked it, and she's a cutie!

I had an eyebrow wax this morning. Since the salon I use is at the club, I walked two miles beforehand. I am an exercise angel this week. No tennis today, though.
D is away on a long day trip, so I have the day.

We are going up to our neighbor's "lake house" tomorrow - it's a little double-wide in a development - for some swimming, boating, and eating. It should be fun - most of the street is going - but to an extent I dread days like this because you have to pack like you're going to WDW for 3 days, you know? Coolers and changes of clothes and sunscreen and bug spray and swim gear and... Plus we're taking the dog.

But it's just a day. And it will be fun, I'm sure.

Anyone besides V & Amy have long weekend plans? That's really all we've got.

Well, my girls would have worn them when they were little.......blue and lime green are colors they liked.

Speaking of shoes..........just got BA a pair of Nike Shox (??)---I was shocked at the price at first, but then found out that if they can still fit in "kids sizes" which was a 5 for her, they were $60 versus $120. She really likes them--anyone else buying them?
