Scott was taking his baby from him. And while he got used to him being around.. he was the guy that .. as he put it.. "SOLD SNOW TO AN ESKIMO"


Sara's Hair is too dark in the picture as is my "wedding" pic.. but hair color is/was the same.. and she look an awful lot like me... and.. has some of Mom's features that I did not get.

My mom used to call hubby "that boy" until she decided she liked him a lot.

Hi all. Bob's on his way home from the Urologist. They said it's an infection (OMG...that is so awful!!!) He's in alot of pain. They did an ultrasound (weird, huh?) and they said it will take two weeks to get the results! That seems LONG to me. The Dr. gave him an anti-inflammatory and an antibiotic. He's going to return on Tues or Wed if he doesn't feel MUCH better though. I hope he's well in time for FF!!

I wish we could catch a break here! I'm nauseaous. I'm sure it is because of all the turmoil. Why can't things be easy? Just once.

Unfortunately, Bob's having some issues. He slept downstairs last night saying that his back hurt. Turns out it's not his back. It's radiating up from "THE SURGERY AREA" and he's in ALOT of pain. He's got a call into the Urologist. I hope he feels better soon. He's not too happy right now.

We totally need a break, here!

Mel, I'm so sorry to hear this. And I'm not going to share it with my DH, since he did have his snip procedure this morning! We had to be at the surgery center at 5:30 am! So far, he's doing pretty well. A little discomfort, but nothing that Vicodin doesn't cure...

Thanks for missing me, guys! It's just been crazy around here. I had my slumber party on Friday night. Got home at 5:30am (with no sleep), and then slept and did yardwork all day Saturday. Between watching the Olympics, cleaning, laundry, getting DD7 ready for school, and watching my neighbor's DD, I didn't even log on from the time I left on Friday until yesterday afternoon! And it's taken me that long just to catch up on the 20 pages here!!!! My oh my are you girls chatty! You can't blame it on me!

Anyway, school started without a hitch on Monday. DD still likes her teacher, although she's already telling me about the "bad kids" in her class. She's pretty sensitive and doesn't like it when teachers get angry, even if it's not directed at her. I don't think she's got any really bad ones this year though, so it should be alright. Her teacher is also not a "yeller" so I'm sure we'll be fine. We're almost done with the first week of second grade!

So, I think the weekend will be quite boring here. DH is probably not going to feel like doing much. We're waiting for his surgeon to call to check on him, so he can ask a few questions. My job is to keep the girls from climbing on him and jumping on him!

I'm so jealous of all of you that are going to FockerFest, but hopefully I can find a way to come next October with you! I keep checking my ticker every day to see how long until our Ip-Dip trip. I know you'll all have a great time and the rest of us will hold down the fort here. I agree with Dawn and Katt that this will be our chance to boost our post counts and pull ahead of everyone else!!!

Speaking of FockerFest, did Flat Jodi arrive okay, Mel?? I read that Flat Jen didn't make it, but I'm assuming that FlatJodi did? Make sure she doesn't drink too much! She gets a bit loopy!

My sleeping hasn't gotten much better, I dunno what the heck its from but I am trying to catch some Z's whenever I can.

Kat, I have a hard time sleeping too and when I asked the doctor about it, she told me it was anxiety. I'm not working now & I don't have kids, yes, I'm anxious. My grandmother has problems sleeping too so I thought it might be hereditary. But whatever, she put me on Lexapro. After about 4 months, I told her it wasn't working and I wanted to get off of it. Instead she raised my dosage. It still didn't help my sleeping, I just didn't care as much that I wasn't sleeping. So after abut 18 months, she took me off it and I am just using Tylenol Simply Sleep. I do sleep much better although I do think I'm crankier than usual so maybe I need that Lexapro anyway.

I am definitely NOT telling DH about Bob. He was fine until about 2 hours ago and is now complaining of some pain. So, we broke out the bag of frozen peas. But he's been playing computer games all day, so I think he's pretty happy.

I'm glad that she arrived okay. I hope she doesn't cause too much trouble for you.

I'll keep Bob and SD in my prayers. When are you scheduled to leave?

The kids have 1 week of vacation left and maybe that has something to do with my BLUE MOOD. Along with Scott going out of town Sunday and will not be back till Wed. And MAJOR PMS and the kids doing nothing but fighting. I HAD 1/2 a cheese cake in my deep freezer for 2 months...

Katt, If you don't do stupid things near the Falls there is no danger!! They have guard rails by the Falls , they have signs up everywhere but people can't resist climbing over the rails or walking out on wet slippery rocks , the waters are treacherous but only if you ignore the warnings. The Falls are magnificent and worth a visit tell Scott no danger to those who use their heads.

Here's a bit of Fuzziness, math style for ya all!

Codes for fall came out today. I was originally booked at POP for 10 nights, base tix, base dining = $3026 (plan was to move to WL after the Thanksgiving weekend).

I tried to apply the code, but it wasn't valid at the POP or WL. BUT they could move us to CBR for $2955. Which is a $71 savings and I move up in resort level. Now if I WOULD HAVE booked that package without the code it would be $3635... So the way I see it, I'm saving $680!!!

I know, a bit fuzzy... but isn't all a bit fuzzy?


I'm still trying for WL for at least the 2nd half! I'm hopeful that a room only code will pop up.

So WHO can tell me about CBR? I have never been.

It took me so long to catch up that I am out of time but wanted to respond to this.We stayed at CBR last year and loved it. I can share more info and pics later if you want me to.

Cheesecake sounds good to me! I'm just suffering from sleep deprivation a bit (sorta like you, Mel). I hadn't recovered from the lack of slumber party on Friday night and then the Olympics have kept me up late every night. Then, we had to get up really early today for DH's procedure.... I need to go to bed, but I don't want to miss the gymnastics... what to do...

Jen- Woohoo on the upgrade! Why is my package (my pretned I'm going in 2009, not 2010 package) so much more than yours? I guess because I have one more "adult" I priced 10 nights and 11 days base dining and no hoppers or waterparks in ASMu Family suites for $5302! I know we can stay at POR for $400 cheaper, but I want the two rooms this time.

HSM, all I know is that the Family Suites don't get discounts. Don't ask me why, but that's just Disney's rule on the family suites right now, which sux.
