So WHO can tell me about CBR? I have never been.

What do you want to9 know?? We stayed there last October for F&W.

Does anyone else own any Rachel Ray cookbooks? I just bought one today and it looks great. I'm meal planning for next week with it. :banana:

IS grass green? I love RR! I have I think 3 of her books, lots of good stuff in 'em. Which book did u get?? I ahve tried a bunch of her recipes.

I wish we could catch a break here! I'm nauseaous. I'm sure it is because of all the turmoil. Why can't things be easy? Just once.

MEL:banana:

So sorry to hear about Bob...well at least you have some idea of what's going on, even tho waiting stinks! You're both in my thoughts!

Kat, I have a hard time sleeping too and when I asked the doctor about it, she told me it was anxiety. I'm not working now & I don't have kids, yes, I'm anxious.:rolleyes1 My grandmother has problems sleeping too so I thought it might be hereditary. But whatever, she put me on Lexapro. After about 4 months, I told her it wasn't working and I wanted to get off of it. Instead she raised my dosage. :confused3 It still didn't help my sleeping, I just didn't care as much that I wasn't sleeping. So after abut 18 months, she took me off it and I am just using Tylenol Simply Sleep. I do sleep much better although I do think I'm crankier than usual so maybe I need that Lexapro anyway. :rolleyes:

I'm pretty sure thats why I don't sleep as well. My mind wanders a lot and I think it keeps me from sleeping. I usually read before bed and that helps keep my mind focused on whatever the book is. I got a new pillow recently too, thats helping with the back pain some. Who knows.:confused3 I take advil before bed sometimes as most sleeping pills type things give me nightmares and reg things like advil knock me out. Weird I know.

Kat: Hope you get some zzz's :cloud9: My sleep has been waaay off this week and I've accomplished nothing. :guilty: Well I did get in some scrapbooking during my sleepless nights.

Oh and by this time next week I will be in The World!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo:

I swear I could get up and clean the house sometimes!

I will see u in just 6 days!!!!!!!!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had a great day! We got a little rained on going to the book store but we made it in before the downpour. I got 4 new books and some liquid Chai to make lattes at home, and it was all on my gift card- so technically free! ;) We sat and had some awesome shakes and relaxed and then we came home and ordered sushi and some Chinese food to go with it and watched a movie. I told KC he has some serious quality time to make up for sine I won't see him for a week! We watched Lost Boys 2....don't bother, it was entertaining but the end was lousy and the very best part of the whole movie was in the middle of the credits! Anyways I'm off to relax and hang with KC before bed. NIGHT!
Wake up Fockers!!!
I'm the first one up? That's pretty funny. :rotfl2: Today we are going to the Waterpark near our house. I've never been (we've lived here 14 years....that's so sad. :sad2:) but SD has and he assures me that we'll love it. We'll see! :rotfl:
Sd slept all night (I think, he didn't wake me anyway..) and he was good all day yesterday! I am SOOOOOO hoping we've turned a small corner!
Bob is still asleep downstairs (i think) so I don't know how he did last night. He was up when I went to bed at midnight. He had DVR'd Mutiny on the Bounty. That is a LONG movie! I finished Living Dead in Dallas yesterday. Ok read, not my fave.
I have to pay some bills before we go to the waterpark, so I should scoot. Hope you guys all have a great Friday!!! I can't believe in just ONE WEEK I'll get to meet the Fockers!
MEL:banana:
GooooooooooooooooooooooooooooD Morning Fockers! It is the first day of vacation.:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:
Lots to do over the next couple days. Today is cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms. Jim is taking Jimmy out to get a birthday gift for his dad, so that will give me a break for a little bit.
Morning all :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
Janet, how is your first official day of vacation so far?
Mel, I'm glad Bob got an answer to his issues and is on meds.
DH walked out the door this morning to head for work and reminded me that it's the last Friday he has to work before vacation :yay: :woohoo: :yay:
Morning! I'm finally at work and checking in quick before getting some stuff done (read on...)
Gramma's Fuzzy Time Management got me in trouble with work this week. :mad: The plan was that I'd take Leo to work with me Mon. and Tues. and Gramma would pick him up at 10am. Well, Tues. I had a meeting at 10:30. Guess who was nearly an hour late getting Leo?
:headache:
I missed my meeting, which was NOT good. Then, when I got home at noon yesterday to relieve her, she announced that oops - she'd picked up an 8p-8a shift last night... so she wouldn't be home early enough this morning for me to get to work on time.
:headache:
What really infuriates me is the combination of her utter disregard for how this impacts my job - which, BTW is what keeps a roof over our heads - and the lack of even a single apology from the woman. And BTW, this is nothing new. Been like this my whole life. You'd think I'd know better. From now on, I don't ask for her help, and neither do I accept it if offered. I'm DONE. :mad:
In better news, I booked my hotel for MNSSHP weekend yesterday. Thanks to LL for talking me down from the Poly ledge, I'm at CBR for $114/night! :cool1:
A couple snippets I noticed whilst reading he last page...
Katt - 25 pounds?!?! You GO girl! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Jen - you're thinking about CBR? I love the place! Stayed there quite a few times over the years and never had a problem, hence my return this Oct. Here are some pics from Aug. last year...
It is big and spread-out, so take that into consideration. I always have a car, so I'm not always up on just how far walks are. Any questions, feel free to ask!
I got the Yumo- Family Cookbook. Which on eis you favortie of the ones you have? Last night I made her green pasta and ham from her website, but I subbed rigatoni for the spinach fett. because my kids think colord pasta is gross. :sad2:
I like the idea that it's fast and healthier meals, but I don't know if I want everything kiddie. So now I'm wondering I should take it back and get a different one. :confused3
Wake up Fockers!!!
No screaming! I need some coffee...
That's great! I hope Bob did well too.
Janet- Yeah! Vacation!!! :banana:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm tired. I turned on the t.v. about 11:15 last night and found the girls gymnastics, so I had to watch. It was so tear-jerking to see the gold winner mouthing the national anthem, get choked up and start crying. Amazing. :cloud9:
K didn't get home until almost 11. He ate dinner, then fell asleep. :( Poor guy. He has 3 guys (four with his Field manager) now, but the one he was training this week broke his thumb over the weekend. :sad2: So, he's useless for right now. Once he heals, K can come out of the field again. I feel so bad for him b/c he's running calls all day, then has to go back to the office for several hours every night to do the office work he's not doing during the day. The kids have only seen him once since Sunday again this week. :guilty:

Well, we're supposed to go swimming with friends today. I'll have to check in later this afternoon.

Janet, how is your first official day of vacation so far?

Crazy. Trying to get everything done before Fockerfest!!!

:mad: for ya V. When I hear things like this I am glad Jim and I are able to work our schedules when we need too andnot have to depend on other people:hug:

Another trip to the World:banana:

V - I'd try to do an update for you, but I am actually lost the last couple days myself:sad2:

Wake up Fockers!!!

I was awake, we must have posted at the same time

Today we are going to the Waterpark near our house. I've never been (we've lived here 14 years....that's so sad. :sad2:)

I think this is true no matter where you live. When we went to the historic district a couple of weeks ago with Flat Stanley I mentioned the last time I was there was when I was in the 4th grade for a class trip, now I am jonsing to go back!

Sd slept all night (I think, he didn't wake me anyway..) and he was good all day yesterday! I am SOOOOOO hoping we've turned a small corner!

V- I meant to say... :mad: :mad: :mad: on your behalf. How frustrating! :headache:
Thanks - yeah, I'm not a happy camper this week.
V - I'd try to do an update for you, but I am actually lost the last couple days myself:sad2:
LOL, no worries - if it's big enough, I'll hear about it!

Hi T2! :hug: We'll miss each other yet again - I'm going 10/31-11/2 with MNSSHP on Halloween!

Oh no! That's one thing about TE, she completely respects all of our jobs and manages her time around that. Should something conflict, my brother lives just around the corner, so any issues and the kids go over there.
Sounds like you're ready for a few cocktails and some chick time, my friend. :goodvibes
In better news, I booked my hotel for MNSSHP weekend yesterday. Thanks to LL for talking me down from the Poly ledge, I'm at CBR for $114/night! :cool1:
She did WHAT???? :eek: I'm starting to think I'll never get back to the Poly. Next Oct. we're thinking WL and then for the big 2 week trip everyone wants to do CBR or SSR (if I get Andy to sign on the dotted line.);)

Hey Fockers,

V - yeah I'd be mighty ticked off to, that's just inconsiderate:mad:

T - I saw a thread the other day on the DVC boards about some good re-sale bargains for DVC, just lettin' you know;)

T2 - where's that gold, sounds like something I could take the nieces and nephews to

Katt - WTG on the 25

Janet - congrats on being officially on vacay (2 more days for me)

~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up with terrible back pain today, took a muscle relaxer and crashed until a short time ago. Still very tight. I need to loosen these muscles up, so off to the back yard to try and walk it off gently with puggies
C'mon Disney gods, first T's voice and now my back:headache:
She did WHAT???? :eek: I'm starting to think I'll never get back to the Poly.
Tell me about it! The best I could get was $399 :eek: Too rich for my blood.
Ok so that happened to me a few days ago, Mo. I realized it was because I was hunched over the suitcases that I was organizing. :headache: It's called predisneypackinglumbaritis - inflammation of the back muscles due to disney packing. ;)
:lmao:
I am expecting LOTS of DVC deals and resales if the economy keeps going in the toilet.. If people are losing houses and cutting back.. Then Vacation Homes and the like might also be able to be picked up for a song..
Hi Fockers! I see with a few Chatty ones gone the thread has slowed down a bit!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: In a few more days it will be even slower!!:lmao:
V:lmao: I feel for you and whar Gramma is like!! I don't know if my DD realises how lucky she is. I just get told whan to pick up/drop off kids and when I need to take off so I can watch Kyle :rotfl2: We really try to make our schedules GEL so we don't have to use too many vacation days. Me being off Mondays really helps, Any idea how many school holidays are Mondays ??????
Good Afternoon everyone. Jimmy's room and our room are clean. Just taking a quick lunch break and then it will be on to the bathrooms:scared:
Katt and Mo - Hope your backs feel better:hug:
