hey girls!!!! i know i've been mia all week. it's been crazy , hectic past 2 weeks. i've been working alot and now taking the kids to st/ot total of 3 times a week. they're doing wonderful, it's just a busy schedule. how's everyone been??? i'm going back to catch up, but if anyone wants to throw a cheat sheet my way...................just sayin. :rolleyes1

Good luck with that Rachel! I had to play catch up and it took me two days! These ladies were chatty last week!

Glad to have you back, though. We need more crazy people in the ER stories. My DH (an EMT) hasn't worked an ALS truck in awhile, so I haven't had my fair share of drunk people assaulting cops, etc. :rotfl:

Hey all I posted this on 86'd but I will post here too. My major cleaning is done so the contractor can come in and make a mess. I started pulling out my clothes and realized I don't have enough shorts, so I am going shopping - ALONE - without Jim and Jimmy:banana:

Jodi - THought you;d like this story...my neighbor is a paramedic for the city. He got a call one time for a man with chest pains. He and his partner got to the house and there a a man (around 65 or so) siting there watching the Phillies game. He refused to let them take him to the hospital. My neighbor looked and the wife and sat down on the couch next too the guy. Guy is looking at him like he is crazy (he is;) ) and my neighbor asks the wife for a soda, and starts asking the guy about the game. The guy says to him aren't you going to leave, my neighbor says no and proceeds to tell him what is going to happen to him in the next few minutes (passout, etc) and he doesn't want to waste time leaving jsut to have to come back... so the guy finally agrees to go to the hospital.

Really? I can always count on my fockers for enable purposes! ;)

That's what Focker friends are for:goodvibes

Ok so that happened to me a few days ago, Mo. I realized it was because I was hunched over the suitcases that I was organizing. :headache: It's called predisneypackinglumbaritis - inflammation of the back muscles due to disney packing. ;)
:lmao:

OMG you crack me up:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good thing I just have to pack those last minute items

Add my BACK into the equation Mo
9bb7.jpg

You too:hug:

So V, not even an apology from Gramma? :confused3 I bet that gated community is looking better and better.

V - weren't you sending her to Indonesia or the Philipines?

See and that's why you need to pack early, you don't see T and me doing any last minute panic shopping;)

Hope you have fun shopping!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, the back is still feeling tight, will take more pills going to bed.
Getting my hair cut tomorrow and then off to see Murph, (who is also still feeling lousy)
Have a great night Fockers
V - weren't you sending her to Indonesia or the Philipines?
Bangladesh, Mo. We're all sending our mothers to retirement communities in Bangladesh. ;)
See and that's why you need to pack early, you don't see T and me doing any last minute panic shopping;)
Yeah Janet. We just do last minute leisure shopping. ;) You know for those "just in case" items. :lmao:
Getting my hair cut tomorrow and then off to see Murph, (who is also still feeling lousy)
I was going to ask you about Murph. Any diagnosis yet?
Have fun! :goodvibes
Quiet on the Focker front today, huh???
Gramma's Fuzzy Time Management got me in trouble with work this week. :mad: The plan was that I'd take Leo to work with me Mon. and Tues. and Gramma would pick him up at 10am. Well, Tues. I had a meeting at 10:30. Guess who was nearly an hour late getting Leo?
In better news, I booked my hotel for MNSSHP weekend yesterday. Thanks to LL for talking me down from the Poly ledge, I'm at CBR for $114/night! :cool1:
:hug: I agree with u about CBR being spread out...we had some drama as far as using the main building for mug refills but otherwise it was really nice. I'm in if they do pirate rooms for sure!
I got the Yumo- Family Cookbook. Which on eis you favortie of the ones you have? Last night I made her green pasta and ham from her website, but I subbed rigatoni for the spinach fett. because my kids think colord pasta is gross. :sad2:
I like the idea that it's fast and healthier meals, but I don't know if I want everything kiddie. So now I'm wondering I should take it back and get a different one. :confused3
I have that one too, I haven't really made anything from it yet. I got a bunch of cook books from a book club when i got it and haven't had time to really go through it. I have 30 Min meals 1 & 2 and 365 No Repeats of hers and I have tried several good recipes from those for sure!
I woke up with terrible back pain today, took a muscle relaxer and crashed until a short time ago. Still very tight. I need to loosen these muscles up, so off to the back yard to try and walk it off gently with puggies
I am a firm believer in a hot bath with epsom salts and I KNOW back pain!
Hope you and Murph feel better!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well the rest of our errands are done! We did the grocery shopping and picked up some other last minute carp. It's cold cuts for dinner today and tomorrow so I can keep the fridge clean!

The weather here STINKS! And apparently tropical storm Fay wants to come with me and aunt flo on vacation.... whats up with that???? ;)

I am hoping that it stays true to the reports and hits on Monday night (I fly early Monday morning) and is gone by Wed night (KC flys Thursday morning). At least I'll be in WDW! 2 more days!!!!!

See and that's why you need to pack early, you don't see T and me doing any last minute panic shopping;)

Hope you have fun shopping!

I did. I went ALL BY MYSELF...IT was :cloud9: . I got 3 pairs of shorts. 1 pair at Sears, Lands ENd for $13.99 and 1 pairs at Penny's for $12.99:thumbsup2 THen I got a couple of new shirts (COuldn't buy new shorts without shirts:rolleyes: :banana: :banana:

Getting my hair cut tomorrow and then off to see Murph, (who is also still feeling lousy)

I am getting my hair cut, colored, highlighted and getting my eyebrows waxed (can't have bad eyebrows for Fockerfest:rolleyes1

Hope Murph gets to feeling better soon:hug:

Yeah Janet. We just do last minute leisure shopping. ;) You know for those "just in case" items. :lmao:

:p

Mel - I hope Bob will be OK for FF too! I'm sending Tink with a little more pixie dust to spread you know where!!:tink:

V - Sorry 'bout the trouble with the mother.

Tanya - Happy Belated Birthday!!

I'll try to keep on the TRs while the other Fockers are away.:lovestruc

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Now we need some pixie dust and prayers sent our way. My DH has decided to start his chemotherapy treatments for the brain tumors before we go to WDW. :eek: Needless to say I'm not happy but it was his decision. It will be the pill form - Temodar. 28 day cycle. Sound familiar ladies? Only 4% of the people that take it have bad reactions or bad blood cell counts. He will start on the 25th of this month. He takes 640mg at night on an empty stomach for 5 nights. They gave him some anti nausia med. also. Then he will start a 2nd round on the 22nd of next month after blood tests. There will be another MRI and more blood tests in October before he visits the dr. again on the 16th. Hopefully they will see some shrinkage in the tumors. Side effects are very minimal for most. I just hope he isn't in the 4%tile. The week it would show would be the week we are at WDW. :sad2: We don't know if radiation will follow at this point. Please keep us in your thoughts.

so ................................

flat rachel is coming to fockerfest!!!

i didn't have time to make it, "talked" to ce and emailed my pic to her!!!!

so , a big shout out to ce.......................... thank you!!!!!!!!

i'm so happy to have my flat going to fockerfest!!!!!! yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so ................................

oh yeah,, katt--- you said something about my title, what is it???? popcorn::

I have made our "Chatter's" List easy to find. It is in My siggie... I think it is something like... "TFW Medical Specialist" But if you want to make a small change in the title I guess it would be fine. Keep it medically related.. :rotfl2: we're a "SICK" bunch around here sometimes...:rotfl2:

Man Oh Man Focker's...

Looks like you ladies going to "Fockerfest" are going to have some extra rain while you are there huh?

JUst saw a potential track for "Fay" for Tuesday or Wednesday sliding up the Gulf Coast.
Ihate to thnk how much more rain Florida can get.. considering how we got DROWNED when we were there... especially in JUNE:scared:

Kristel...:hug:
You will definately be in my prayers. Cancer is horrible. 3 out of our 4 parents had it and 2 succomed to that disease. My Mom survived it... only to die from a broken neck and pneumonia.. 6 years ago today. With both of my parents having a form of it... and several first cousins having it and one died from Cancer... I sometimes worry about my odds.

CE I see Rach sent you her Flat..:banana: I just have not gotten to take a pic to send you.. do not have many of me... I am usually BEHIND the CAMERA ( where I like to be ) so there are not many of me. SO I may not be going to Florida after all again.

Morning all I see some need hugs so here are hugs for all :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug:. If you don not need one now, save it I am sure you will need it at some time. I was gone all day yesterday. We got up in the morning and headed to Kalamazoo to get our new cell phones. I even got to change my number and ditch the telemarketers. We got the new Instinct. I think I will like it but it is a big change from other phones. Dd is off to start her Las Vegas vacation with her Grams and I have my to do list set for next week. I want to make sure my class room is all set before school starts. P had her last day on Thursday. Her parents tried to make me feel bad about not watching her next week and I set them straight on how I felt about them taking her from my care like it was no big deal. I can not believe they would stay on at a job for an extra week after being fired if it would loose them a new job. This way I am not coming home from vacation unemployed. I am going to rearrange furniture today. Bug wants his train table in the living room now that P isn't here. Hope everyone has a great day.

V - weren't you sending her to Indonesia or the Philipines?
Bangladesh, Mo. We're all sending our mothers to retirement communities in Bangladesh. ;)
::yes:: I once heard that Bangladesh offers terrific medical and is a great choice for cheap retirement! The fact that it's on the other side of the world is just icing on the cake. :rotfl:

Ugh, I'm sorry! :hug: Many positive thoughts going your way.

Sure - I don't have enough going on with paper writing, work, and trip preparations... now I need to get ready for a potential hurricane?!?! :faint:

I HATE these lead-up days, waiting, wondering, hoping it turns to the West, but feeling guilty about that because someone else will get nailed. Picturing what my living room will look like with the addition of a tree through the roof... wondering if my car would be safer in the Walgreens parking lot down the block... trying to guess if school will be closed... listening to Gramma tell me she won't evacuate - she'll just hole up in the interior bathroom with a loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter and the cats. :headache:

Good times here in the Tampa bay region. :sad2:

Now we need some pixie dust and prayers sent our way.
Prayers are on the way. This must be such a hard time for all of you. When my mom had her cancer the doctor said it was not treatable. The doctor said either they got it with the surgery or it would keep spreading. She has been cancer free for 14 years. We were very lucky and I believe the prayers of our church and friends helped. Here is a hug :hug: for you all.

Kristel: :hug: for you and Dh. I am keeping fingers crossed for you guys!

Margie: :hug: for you too. And a pat on the back for being so strong, girl! You did what you needed to do. They did what they needed. Don't let them make you feel bad. We love you.

V: Holy Carp. NO HURRICANES. NONE. Let Grandma hole up with the cats....you can come ride it out with us.

-------------

Bob is not feeling better. I'm worried but not telling him as he's sort of a drama queen with all the pain...shhhh. Don't tell Bob I said that. He's sensitive.
He's been on the anti-biotic for two days. Maybe it just hasn't started doing it's stuff yet. :confused3 I'll call his Dr. on Monday. I have a huge list of things to do today and tomorrow so he's going to sit around all day by himself. He assures me that he's going to be well for FF....I am starting to wonder though.

IN other news, SD is doing GREAT!!! His appt with the psychologist is on Monday so hopefully she will give him some tools in case he relapses. He seems really good though. Your prayers are working! :love:

I hope you guys are all doing great and KEEP YOUR PRAYERS COMING. Not just for us but for NO HURRICANES!!!!

MEL:banana:

I'm not sure if I should be more concerned or what? I have zero experience with tropical storms/hurricanes, although remember Lapufest last year? That was like the worst rain I'd ever seen in my life! :eek:
I'm going to go with "Ignorance is bliss" and try to focus my energy elsewhere. On what I'm not sure, but I'm just going to relax just long enough to not panic. :scared:

You are joking, right? :confused: Wait ... wait ... the mental picture is just to hilarious!! :lmao:

Sorry sweetie, but that's funny!
Good times here in the Tampa bay region. :sad2:
Stay safe, V. :hug:

That's great news Mel! :thumbsup2 My mother suffers from panic attacks and she's been seeing a psych. for about a year now and is doing wonderfully.

Again, thank you all.
Mel-Last time I had strep the meds didn't kick in until about 60 hours. I thought they would help in 24-48 and when they didn't I called. I was told that some meds actually take almost 3 days. Sure enough next morning after I called I woke up with much less pain. Hope he is feeling better soon. You can call and see how long it should take.
Bugs costume got here. He is a handsome Prince Charming and wants Cinderella to dance with him. I hope she can take a couple twirls when we get there for the photo.

::yes:: I once heard that Bangladesh offers terrific medical and is a great choice for cheap retirement! The fact that it's on the other side of the world is just icing on the cake. :rotfl:

Let me know which one Gramma will be in so my mother can have a friend with her! :rotfl2:

trying to guess if school will be closed...
School starts here Monday. Good thing I don't have to worry about that! :rolleyes:

Good afternoon Fockers. Got my hair cut and colored (all prettied up for Fockerfest). Jimmy got his hair cut. He looks so cute and now I am doing laundry.

Margie :hug:

Mel Glad SD is doing better:thumbsup2 It won't hurt to talk to the psychologist!:hug:

Fockerfesters - Faye is going to turn left ::yes::
