I think my insomnia is coming back...i fear that...I need some darn sleep! I was up most of the night then slept late this morning. So annoying, I feel all out of whack.

Just packing and making some choc chip pancakes for dinner...not much else going on!

How is everyone else???[/COLOR]

Oh No:scared1: .. You do not need that again. Hasn't KC been keeping you up.. Maybe your schedule is just outta whack.

I think it's my brain on Disney keeping me up, I dunno. It's just of I get woken up for any reason (last night the cat running around) I just can't get back to sleep!

Ok, I'm here!
Had swimming this am. Gus is doing AWESOME! Then ran home, showered and got dressed to go have lunch with my librarian friend at her house. It's about 35 mins to her house, and I was so glad to have a bit of quiet time to listen to NPR and just RELAX. It's been heck at my house for a week or more. SD is doing SO well (by the way, that's my DS15 for those of you NOT reading my TR....) He hasn't had any pills (valium) since the first day he was prescribed. And today he mowed the yard. I think he's better. :goodvibes Or at least I am hoping and praying he is.

Gus and I weeded the strawberry patch while SD mowed. I thought we should stay close by in case he needed me. No need, he was great. I am making some blueberry pancakes for dinner (Kat gave me the idea) and then we are going to play Disney Sorry and watch Jungle Book 2 on the Disney channel.

Lunch was so nice today. I really needed some grown up time.

Glad you guys all seem well. Lessa, hope your "date thingy" goes well. I'll keep fingers crossed for you!

MEL:banana:

:rotfl: And i don't mean she's a tramp BECAUSE she's a cheerleader. Cheerleaders are not tramps. She's a tramp because he likes her. And because she has a spell on my son. Pfffft.

Just had to add my disclaimer. ;)
I gotcha! :thumbsup2

RE: the cranberry and citrus and bladder infections--I just had a bladder infection and kidney stoney not quite 2 weeks ago. Lots of fun! Not! But in talking to a friend who sees a top pediatric urologist for her 5 year old that has bladder infections--he said citrus was still the best thing and that real lemonade had more citrus then any other citrus drink. So that's what her son drinks to help his.

Weird how we get so much conflicting information!
:confused3 It's so weird, right?

Great! So that mango and lime swirled margarita I drank at "dunch" should help! I was sitting there eating a stuffed jalapeno thinking, "Rut row! I think spicy food was on the list too!" :lmao: I'll be good now, I promise...

WT  When I had an infection 3 months ago... I had the Cranberry Juice:confused3
Yeah, they just found out yesterday that it's really, really bad for you!

Sike! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I dunno why they say two different things. :confused3 It's too mess with the patient, probably. ;)

Home tomorrow for a decent nights sleep, can't wait!

I'm so glad that he's doing so well. :yay: What an answer to our prayers, huh? Amazing.

I forgot to say it sounds like a nice, quiet evening. I've got a bit of alone time right now. Hopefully I'll get to see K tonight. Last night he got home after I was asleep (maybe 11?) :(

So glad SD is doing well! I wish I had some fresh blueberries, I'd stick those in the pancakes....but they are an arm and a leg in good old NY usually (last week I found some for cheap and made muffins). Chips I have in the fridge so thats whats for dinner!

I was so excited to pull up to Wilderness Lodge since we had not been there before, and we were not disappointed. It's lovely! :goodvibes

While we were checking in, I asked about being the flag family and not surprisingly, there were no open dates. However, we were surprised to learn we had automatically received a room upgrade. Concierge baby!

After changing into our bathing suits, we headed to the pool bar to get drinks to take to the "quiet" pool. No pictures in swimsuits. :cool1:

After hearing many good reviews, we decided on dinner at Artist Pointe. The restaurant wasn't very crowded and the CM's were all very hospitable. We started with the spring salad and cream of mushroom soup. Both were very good. :thumbsup2 I rarely eat meat, but the beef tenderloin sounded good, and it was.

CIMG0175.jpg

DH got the signature buffalo, which he enjoyed, although he enjoyed the sweet potatoes even more. Our server, Kyle, then came out with the recipe. :thumbsup2

CIMG0174.jpg

Then DH started telling our server about the Fockers and the DIS and whatnot. Dear, our server is busy and really doesn't care, although he was particularly concerned that no bad reviews would be forthcoming. He did tell me that Deb from Allearsnet eats at at least one restaurant each week to keep her info up to date. Hate that for her! So Kyle was a very good server and would recommend asking for him next time you go. :thumbsup2

DH had berry cobbler for dessert and I had chocolate hazelnut torte with honey lavender ice cream. Yummy, and not too much.

It was my bright idea to go over to MK, see the parade, Wishes, ride a few rides and call it a night. Never staying at a resort before and never going in August before I had no idea how bad an idea this was. :rolleyes1MK was an absolute madhouse! DH was not having any fun with the throngs of people, heat or me. :sad2: We did manage to see Wishes and hop on Winnie the Pooh before calling it a night. As we were walking out, we noticed the mass of people waiting for the monorail, and thought "glad we're not in that." Until we got to the boat for the WL. :headache: I know people do this every night at MK and it's no big deal, but we honestly had no idea it was this busy. But we made it back to the room and were able to relax.

In the morning, DH decided he had been off work too long so we had breakfast, and headed home.

CIMG0208.jpg

I did try to book a room while we were there for October at the Poly, but no dates were available. So we may just stick to being day trippers. :cool1:

But it was relaxing, and we did get to spend some time together which was the idea of our trip in the beginning. :thumbsup2

I'm here! went to the mall at Johnson City today to do some school shopping! :thumbsup2 Stupid tax is 9.5% there tho---think we'll head to Christiansburg or Bluefield next time.

:rotfl:

Jon...is in love...with a cheerleader.

I have no idea who this tramp is. Whatever. :snooty:

 As a Super Cheer Mom (wanna see the 500 pics and videos???), I must object! ;)

Thats great Jen!! :yay: Are you feeling a little better about school now?
Sam is going into 10th grade and still doesnt have a locker, just could never figure it out..

OMGosh! :lmao: I'm sure I shouldn't be laughing so hard, but I am! I'm sorry! Your stories make me think I got off easy with a dog who had surgery at 5 months old and had to be confined for 2 months afterward! :rotfl2:

Sorry about your cord.

Great news! I have FOUND Dancing Queen!! Now it can play in YOUR head all day long too! :lmao:

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music’s high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You’re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

You’re a teaser, you turn ’em on
Leave them burning and then you’re gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You’re in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the dancing queen

yeah yeah....;)
A few minutes ago, him and Max were racing around and around the living room..........Isabella the cat apparently got tired of the nonsense and chased pup into a corner of the kitchen! Her tail was fluffed up like a pipe cleaner and he just cowered down and covered his face with his big paws! :lmao:

........guess what??? I've found mamma mia lyrics too......this dang internet is great! I remember in high school--I would listen to the top 40 countdown with Casey Cassum (??) and try to write down the words so I'd be super cool!
:lmao:

Mamma mia, here I go again
My my, how can I resist you?
Mamma mia, does it show again?
My my, just how much I’ve missed you
Yes, I’ve been brokenhearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?
Mamma mia, now I really know,
My my, I could never let you go.

Riley's not scared of the cat. He wants to eat her! She prances in front of him, he chases her, then she growls and hisses. She'll slap him, but since she is declawed, he thinks it's funny. He just wags his tail. :rotfl:

Great news! I have FOUND Dancing Queen!! Now it can play in YOUR head all day long too! :lmao:
Great! I'm going to listen to that one now too!

That was just the cutest movie. I love all these musicals coming out in theaters. :lovestruc

:lmao:

I pulled it up on my iTunes now. Thanks for getting it in my head! :rotfl2:

anytime!!! :lmao:

Daran just called---one of his Ft worth buddies is flying in to Roanoke tonite so he's gonna go have dinner with him. Wish his wife and kids were coming--I really liked them! You would too, Dawn---she is a number 1 home school mom--got a 17 yo and a 10 yo......both in Ft worth orchestra with the violin and very active in their church youth group. We got together a lot when I was there and I miss her. :sad1:

So, since we're all superb parents, I need some advice. :thumbsup2 I'd love to introduce Mamma Mia to the girls, but I don't want to explain the whole three daddies thing. Not to mention the scene on the beach with Christine Baranski and the bartender guy! :scared1:

Do I just act like there's nothing there and show them the move or tell them they just can't see it?

With Hairspray there was a message I wanted to talk to them about so we watched it. Of course, then the songs have lines like, "won't go all the way, but I'll go pretty far." :headache:  I don't need my 7 yr old singing that!!!

BA wants me off so she can play webkinz with her friends---do your girls like them?

I went with Ab (15 ) and BA (11) and her friend (10 1/2) and had no problems. It is pg-13, I think, but I don't remember any bad language or actual s-e-x.........so I think the other parts would be glossed over by the music for a little one. JMO--don't have any little ones now.
