Blah! I gave into temptation! But this ice cream has 1/2 the fat of "regular" ice cream. So that means I can have 2 scoops for the price of 1, right?? :rolleyes1 Will power is NOT my friend. :headache:

I hear ya sister! All the good food we have been eating makes me want some kind of bad for me desert!

KC is on his way home! YAY! That still means about an hour till he gets here tho
.

Hey everyone!! Slow nite around our house,,rainy day,,we just hung out and took naps...yee haw...

Dawn, I really hope you can get in sooner!! Happy Birthday to Camryn!!
I`ll do the officail post tomorrow,,::yes::

Kat, is KC home from work yet?

He left work early to go to a pod cast taping of diggnation (digg.com). It's a geek type site and podcast. Apparently it was really crowded and he was lucky to get in. He left the place around 10-ish but decided to stop at Taco bell on the way home, so he should be here soon...I hope. I have been listening to all my back podcasts all night (disney and some harry potter ones).

What did I just tell you earlier about a heating pad ?? Guess I was right again !!:lmao:

Boy it must be tough being you:rolleyes1

:rolleyes1 It Really is a Curse... Scott is pretty tired of it as well.
I also seem to even know WHEN HE GOES TO A TRAIN STORE without him telling me Which BTW HE NEVER TELLS ME .
That really burns his butt as well:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Got morning stuff with Sara at school today and tomorrow.. check back in later.

Oh... they confirmed that Monday evening we did have an F0 Tornado touch down here in Roanoke.( 70 miles an hour)
It was so quick ( and over quick)there were no warning sirens. We had gone out to get Ice Cream and got home just as it began to hail( there is usually hail with a tornado) . It did not hit our neighborhood but about 5 minutes away from our house.
No one hurt and only about 300,000 dollars in damage.. mostly trees and minor house damages.

Morning everyone!

Jo--is Ellie doing trampolining at the circus? And why no animals?? Not even goats??
No she's not trampolining at the circus, she's not dancing either as only the winners perform and she came second! Over here there is a huge thing about no animals in circus's not even horses and definitely no goats :rotfl2:

"that little boy hit me" wth??? what is wrong with kids today? her mom was fine , she just say go play and be nice. i think she knows how the little girl is bc she told her numerous times, play nice.
How strange what a weird little girl

I was actaully...no hold on to your hats for this one...WORKING:eek:
What :faint: Really? ;) :rotfl2: Hope you're not so sore today!

The Nurse Practitioner agreed that 7/18 is too long to wait.
I hope you get in sooner Dawn and that you can find something to relieve the pain

Belated Happy Birthday Camryn

bday2.gif

I so missed that one :rotfl2:

THANK YOU! I feel the exact same way, Jo! :lmao:
Glad I'm not the only one :rotfl2:

Yours is better than Waldos! :lmao:
David would probably say that wouldn't be hard :rotfl2: LY Waldo!

I live in a human circus, Jo! :lmao:
Don't we all

Hope you have a great time! Post pics of Ellie performing! :thumbsup2
Ellie came second so she won't be performing!

1 of my old house consumers died and the funeral is tomorrow, I am really bummed out about her passing, I was close to her and her family!!
I'm so sorry Rosie

I'm debating eating some Peanut butter/chocolate ice cream. My tummy says ::yes:: BUT my thighs say: :sad2:
Mine say that all the time too!

I'm over here snacking on some 100 calorie pack of chex strawberry yogurt flavored stuff. pretty good. not exactly the brownie sundae i could go for but it'll do.
How's the healthy eating going Kat?

Blah! I gave into temptation! But this ice cream has 1/2 the fat of "regular" ice cream. So that means I can have 2 scoops for the price of 1, right?? :rolleyes1
Definitely :rotfl2:

Just had the window man round to do the final measure up and OMG he can talk, we chatted about holidays, money, family etc etc he was here for 2.5 hours :faint: :rotfl: Luckily he was very nice though!

Right I'm off to do the grocery shop and look for a new blind :wave2:

Morning! Work is slightly - only slightly - improved. But I've just decided not to let it get to me. Period. So there. ;)

Hi all Had a very busy and stressful day at work and home !!
HSM Hope you get the op sooner than July !!
I'm hopimg tomorrow wont be as stressful, but 1 of my old house consumers died and the funeral is tomorrow, I am really bummed out about her passing, I was close to her and her family!!
I'm so sorry Rosie!
I'm debating eating some Peanut butter/chocolate ice cream. My tummy says ::yes:: BUT my thighs say: :sad2:
:confused3
Okay, we need to keep each other on track again. I'd lost 4.5 lbs...... then managed to gain all but one of it back in 2 days of cake-eating at work. :headache:

Oh... they confirmed that Monday evening we did have an F0 Tornado touch down here in Roanoke.( 70 miles an hour)

You get warning sirens?! We get NOTHING. Just have to hope you're watching a network channel should a tornado be in the vicinity. Stupid Florida.

Speaking of the many joys of living in FL....

It's officially Hurricane Season. :crazy2: The weather people are fairly chomping at the bit to start reporting on this tropical storm or that depression. I can't really blame them - the only alternative is the standard summer forecast:

lg_7DAY.JPG

Yes, we've got "record-breaking" temps already - and summer hasn't even hit its stride! :faint:

Had to mention a sale right?? it just so happens in the same shopping center with Target is a Bath & Body Works...now I'm gonna HAVE to go in.... KC is gonna love that!

kwym, i was showing my dh all the stuff i got from b&b, he's like, i don't have to smell all of them do i? men, just don't get it!!!

agreed that 7/18 is too long to wait. My doctor comes back Monday and she's going to have a talk with her about me getting into the OR sooner.
]

hang in there girl,

Sorry you had a rough day. Mom likes the Thermacare heating pads during the day for her fibro.
:
:thumbsup2 for the thermacare pads, love them

I would have told Masen to hit her harder next time. I mean if he's gonna go down, he may as well go down in flames, right? :rolleyes1
Of course you know I'm completely joking... well... sort of. :teeth:

:rotfl2: she's lucky masen didn't flat out tackle her a#@ . he's used to wrestling around with his 9yr old brother.

I'm hopimg tomorrow wont be as stressful, but 1 of my old house consumers died and the funeral is tomorrow, I am really bummed out about her passing, I was close to her and her family!!

okay, i really want to move to florida, so i;m covering my ears on this one, going la la la la la la la la..........can't hear you !!!! :rotfl2:

================================================

okay all the talk of motrin reminded me of a funny (well it's funny now) story... it's a CE type story , pretty long.....................................

first background............... my dh pulled a back muscle few years back while in law school.... he pulled it by sitting too much . i know ,wth:confused3 . but he was driving 45 minutes to school, sitting at school for 8 hours , then studying for 3-4 more hours, then driving home 45 minutes. so instead of going to the doctor, he started taking motrin and aleve. i'm a nurse, so i know he shouldn't have done this, but he did nt' tell me. so after 2 weeks of this :scared1: . , he comes to me and tells me his stomach has been hurting and he went to the bathroom and it was black. ok i know , tmi, right!! so i take him to the doctor and yup , he has a gi bleed. he has a scope, they find a bleeding duodenal ulcer. but it was healing so they just put him on protonix daily. everything's cool !!

about a year later , we're driving to disney (yes , we drive 16 hours , crazy!). so it's feb and we all have colds. okay , but my dh has a "man cold", so he's whining, "oh, i;m so achy, oh my head, oh i dont' feel good". i'm trying to drive, while he's whining, kids are whining , 18 month old crying. finally i'm like here, take 2 advil.. he says , "i'm not supposed to take advil bc of my ulcer." i say well, it's been a year, and one dose is not going to kill you. (while i'm thinking......and it will make you shut the he%% up:rolleyes1 ..... i'm a good wife ,aren't i) i just can't handle whining, esp in a grown man..........................any way, so about 2 hours later (halfway there) he's doubled over in pain, going "my stomach, my stomach" he's having horrible stomach pain, feels nauseated, so we stop at a gas station , stock up on rolaids, maalox, zantac.... now he's blaming me.... he says "are you trying to kill me off.... you're a scary nurse".. i'm like wth.....one dose shouldn't have done that. so i tell him to take an extra protonix ...........sometimes people take it twice a day, but he won't listen to me. he says "like i'm going to take your advice this time" so i call my mom (late night), she's looks it up online and yes you can take protonix twice a day. so now he's convinced, he takes it.

well........ i drove the entire way to florida.. while he's suffering in the passenger seat.... now has a "man cold" and stomach pain... so we finally get to clearwater (we stayed one night at the beach before heading over to disney)........ he went to the beach for maybe 2 hours, the rest of the time he was in bed. .............................................

he was fine the next day when we went to disney, but he will never take advil again............and most of the time he won't listen to my medical advice..whoops:rolleyes1

but, to my defense, when we got home , he saw his gastroenterologist and told him the story.... the doctor agrees with me and says welll, one dose shouldn't have done that , but your stomach must be very sensitive. so he tells him not to take it anymore...........duh.

Trusted V....yay! Reading the first tr you recommended...she's awesome! Loving her writing! Thanks V :thumbsup2

Hi Janet! Hi Kat!

:wave2:

I'm debating eating some Peanut butter/chocolate ice cream. My tummy says BUT my thighs say:

Go with your tummy, becasue PB/Chocolate Ice Cream sounds yummy (hey that's a rhyme!)~~~~~

Blah! I gave into temptation! But this ice cream has 1/2 the fat of "regular" ice cream. So that means I can have 2 scoops for the price of 1, right?? Will power is NOT my friend.

I've seen the pictures. You are a skinny minnie::yes::

Thank goodness no one was hurt, but it still had to be scary:eek:

Morning everyone!

Morning Jo:goodvibes

Hope you're not so sore today!

I am, but it is getting better the more I move around:thumbsup2

David would probably say that wouldn't be hard Waldo!

:rotfl:

Morning! Work is slightly - only slightly - improved. But I've just decided not to let it get to me. Period. So there.

Insert stamping foot pouty smilie here;)

Sometimes that all you can do V. Go in, do your work and don't worry about what everyone else is doing:thumbsup2

Okay, we need to keep each other on track again. I'd lost 4.5 lbs...... then managed to gain all but one of it back in 2 days of cake-eating at work.

Another skinny mininie that just needs to stop it:)

I am surprised that FLA hasn't gone to the warning sirens:confused3

Speaking of the many joys of living in FL....

It's officially Hurricane Season. The weather people are fairly chomping at the bit to start reporting on this tropical storm or that depression.

It's like here in the winter. The sight of one tiny snowflake and the weather people are all over the "Storm of the Century"! :sad2:

I can't really blame them - the only alternative is the standard summer forecast:

lg_7DAY.JPG

Yes, we've got "record-breaking" temps already - and summer hasn't even hit its stride! :faint:

Oh, come on V...it's not THAT bad;) :rolleyes1

I forgot - someone asked about any good TRs we've found? I'm LOVING this one - she's a fantastic writer!

Another great one from Briarmom is here.

And does everyone know that LaLa started a new one? Overdue and Overpacked III: A Tale of Two Cities

Come join me!

I have been reading La La's..but thanks for the other recommendations!:thumbsup2
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Good morning everyone. Still a little sore from my graceful exit from my chair yesterday, but otherwise all is well. After work today I have to run to the Mall to get a birthday gift for the birthday party Jimmy is ging to on Saturday. Then I have to stop at the hardware store to get Garage SAle Signs to put up tomorrow. The ad should be in today's paper, and I also advertised on Craigslist. Tomorrow will be work and then going home and getting all the last minute stuff for the garage sale together. I have to borrow a folding table from my neighbor..that kind of stuff.

Hope you all have good day.:thumbsup2

Yes, we've got "record-breaking" temps already - and summer hasn't even hit its stride! :faint:

Yup, here too, V. In fact, yesterday was a "practice" drill for a hurricane evacuation. All the police officers had to stand around all day and pretend they had switched the east bound lanes of the interstate to traveling westbound. And hot? Our heat index yesterday was 101...and today it's supposed to be 97 air temp with a heat index of 105 :faint: The joys of living in South Carolina.

Honestly, I don't mind the heat. It's just a tad early.

Good Morning Everyone! I had a bunch of quotes, but decided to BAG that idea... so here it goes...

:cake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMRYN!!! :cake:

Jo: Bummer! I thought Ellie was performing! D'Oh! :headache:

Kate: Our weather has been so crappy lately! I"m dying for some warm weather and put that pool to good use!

Janet: Hope your rug burns are better. :rolleyes1 Skinny minnie? Moi? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Just you wait and see! :lmao: Although, I have to agree with you, V is a teeny tiny little thing. :sad2:

V: Yes, we need to start our "support" system again. ::yes::

Katt:  a tornado???

Kat:  Taco Bell??? I'm going to have to revoke KC's Latino card. :lmao:

Rachel: I'm :lmao: at your hubby! Men are SUCH babies!

Rosie, Mel & Ed: :wave2:

TE & CE: Miss ya!!!

okay, i really want to move to florida, so i;m covering my ears on this one, going la la la la la la la la..........can't hear you !!!! :rotfl2:
Yeah, you'll probably want to close your ears to my whining until about Nov.! :rotfl: It doesn't help that I work for a local government agency, so we're full-on hurrciane prep mode now. :headache:

Boy was I SORE this morning:sick:
Hope it gets better later Janet!
Another skinny mininie that just needs to stop it:)
You're so sweet! I know it's not a lot, but I'm just so frustrated about being up 10lbs from last summer. I don't eat a lot, I'm not an emotional eater, I stay pretty active, I'm not even all that big on sweets. I just don't know how I can gain pounds so quickly that take monumental effort to drop. :(
I am surprised that FLA hasn't gone to the warning sirens:confused3
Please. Most of the state doesn't even have a decent plan if a hurricane should hit. Shoot - we can't even manage to vote properly, remember?! :rotfl:

In fact, yesterday was a "practice" drill for a hurricane evacuation. All the police officers had to stand around all day and pretend they had switched the east bound lanes of the interstate to traveling westbound.
OMG, I need to move back to SC! At least they learned something from Hugo. I spend most of the summer telling my firends and coworkers what it was like living without water, electric, constant flooding and no cell phones post-Hugo. They just don't believe it can happen here. :sad2: Poeple honestly believe that life will be back to "normal" within days of a big hit. You'd have thought Andrew would be a lesson.
And hot? Our heat index yesterday was 101...and today it's supposed to be 97 air temp with a heat index of 105 :faint: The joys of living in South Carolina.
Bleeeeh. You win. ;) But boy oh boy do I miss the low country. I'm reading an Anne Rivers Siddons (one of my fave authors) book right now that takes place in Charelston and vicinity and I swear I can almost smell the salt air and pluff mud as I read! :cloud9:

Right I'm off to do the grocery shop and look for a new blind :wave2:
A New Blind What ???:rotfl2: Golf partner.. that the only kind I play with.. that way I can yell.. Par, Eagle, all day long :lmao:

Okay, we need to keep each other on track again. I'd lost 4.5 lbs...... then managed to gain all but one of it back in 2 days of cake-eating at work. :headache:

I've seen the pictures. You are a skinny minnie::yes::

I second that Observation::yes::

You get warning sirens?! We get NOTHING. Just have to hope you're watching a network channel should a tornado be in the vicinity. Stupid Florida.
guess they are more worried about Hurricanes. Figured you guys could handle a little tornado.:rotfl2:

Speaking of the many joys of living in FL....

Yes, we've got "record-breaking" temps already - and summer hasn't even hit its stride! :faint:

Ditto here..
it will be 97:faint:
It's not supposed to be 97 till maybe late July or August

Our heat index yesterday was 101...and today it's supposed to be 97 air temp with a heat index of 105 :faint: The joys of living in South Carolina.

Honestly, I don't mind the heat. It's just a tad early.
Calendar says JUNE.. MY body says either I am in Florida or it's August.

Why do they think we won't find these things out...:confused3

I keep telling him GOD is telling me he is there... I do seem to have this little voice that tells me to call Scott at the WORST times for him... even when he is out of town at a new train store.:lmao: :lmao:

You are a Busy Mom and have the battle scars to prove it. Would not want to trade ya on the garage sale.. :sad2:

I am jealous of all the hot weather you guys get, we are lucky when it gets to the 80's, it just doesn't feel like summer up here. :headache: And remember girls that I used to live in Virginia Beach so I can handle the heat.

Ok Listen! I'm serious this time. I am LOSING WEIGHT!

Just ran on the treadmill for 30 mins. (god, it felt like 2 hours!!:faint: ) and then did many many crunches.

I am so tired of TRYING. I want to suceed this time!

Mel:banana:

Janet: Hope your rug burns are better. :rolleyes1 Skinny minnie? Moi? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Just you wait and see! :lmao: Although, I have to agree with you, V is a teeny tiny little thing. :sad2:

Hey, I told you I am a Good Catholic Girl:rolleyes1

Hope it gets better later Janet!

Thanks V:goodvibes

You are a Busy Mom and have the battle scars to prove it. Would not want to trade ya on the garage sale.. :sad2:

I am actually looking forward to getting the carp out of my house:woohoo:

Rosie amd Dawn -

Jo - are you playing golf again?

V- your weather forecast actually doesn't look too different than NYC's they are calling for our first official heat wave, temps in the 90's buy Saturday and sticking around. I keep telling myself, it's good practice for August.

OK I saw Janet has rug burns, please tell me there is some juicy story behind that;)

V - yes you are a tiny thing, puh-leaze with the losing weight carp. You are adorable.

HI EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!

11 weeks from today in real time, Kelly and I leave for Fockerfest :yay: (but who's counting:rolleyes1 ) Oh and Sunday is the big reveal, SIL is having the family over for a b-day bar-b-q.
