Okay - I'm going to stir the pot a bit. I know I can vent to all of you.

I am so sick of the threads on the CB that are basically Obits, acting like those who are no longer here were the only ones keeping this place moving.

Is the disboards really not the same now? I didn't "know" over half of the people who are no longer here. I do miss seeing some of the people on here (and hate this is all going on), but if they are truly people you want to keep in touch with - you don't need the disboards for it.

I'm not saying that I don't think something went wrong.

For me, personally, it is aggravating that someone has posted "there is no one left here." Yes there is. Look how many are logged on right now.

I do think some people want an explanation and want to talk about things. The curiosity in us is natural.

Vent over. Flame away

No flames here Mary.....I don't see any change in the boards. Yeah, they seem to be a little slower but I attribute that to people actually having lives as opposed to this being their lives. Some people are upset and rightfully so for some things, but not for others IMO.

Murph's home from France, I brought Cooper home yesterday. She had a great time and got me a gorgeous silk scarf. She was too funny, it was mostly retired folks on the tour and she said she was much younger than the rest. When the ladies when to get their hair done, she went off on her own to see Monet's house. Gotta love Murph, she did report there were no aliens to shoot though.

Go Murph....don't let those OLD people keep you down:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Sorry there were no aliens in France:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The irony that is my life...

I had just sat down to post here about how I am planning to be here more often, be less of a lurker and more of a participant...blah, blah, blah... When I heard a crash in the kitchen.:headache:

It was a full, brand spanking new jar of pickles. Son #1 was making lunch for #2 and #3 and their love of pickles is solid and true. So, upon opening the jar, it slipped and fell. And this was not a small jar. Oh no. This is the pickle lovers jar. The gallon. :thumbsup2

So, with broken glass all over my kitchen, three pairs of bare feet roaming around, and juice oozing under the stove, my post had to wait.

Now the house smells like I'm holding the Vlassic stork hostage.

I promise to try to post more often and be a better Focker.

Wish me luck.

I'm here!
Kat, you know... rainy days and Mondays always get me down. :lmao: Sorry, I had to do it. Katt's at the doctor, so she couldn't sing the obvious song for Kat's post. ;)

Thanks for the congrats all. I just got back from getting more shots in the buns. Ouch! :sad2: Their official weigh in said I'm down 5lbs. I'll take it.
She didn't seem to upset that I refused the prescription and changed up the diet to suit me. I told her the one they gave me seemed extreme and I wouldn't do it and be a bad example to my kids. I especially have to think about Baylie. She's at that age where she's watching everything I do and copying me somewhat- good or bad.

My sandwich is gone, I better get back to school! Have a happy Monday afternoon, all! :cloud9:

Oh no! I hope you got it all!

Mmmm... I wish I could eat a pickle. Too much salt for me right now. :guilty:

Good job Dawn.:cool1: WTG with making sure you are doing it the way you are comfortable with:thumbsup2

Well ..I have been scanned, poked, and the WORST things that are for certain going on are Low Potassium, Vertigo,( DUH!!!) and a stomach bug.
There was a very small concern for my heart. Honestly w/o doing a Heart Cath., we can't know if there are any blockages anywhere. Since my blood pressure is good, stress test was in the good range and EKG looked good, unless I WANTED it done.. there did not seem to be the need for it. The chest pain they could not explain as it did not manifest itself while I was there( Isn't that just the way it always is)
Numbness is most likely due to Potassium loss, and low Potassium is not good for the heart either. So I must increase my consumption of foods with potassium or I'll have to supplement. I will need to have them re-checked in a couple of weeks
I just need to keep a check on some things.. and if symptoms persist or get worse.. then go to the ER.

I tried to tell Scott the Doctor said that his "train collection" was putting too much stress on me.. and he needed to sell them and give me the money.. but he saw right through my plan.

:woohoo: 50 days to Disney !!!!:woohoo:

Thanks for the link the last time I lost you all. We didn't get to the sand box yesterday. We did get the pond back in. I tried to level it out but now it is just uneven in a different direction:lmao: . Nana was not happy she did all that work for it to still be low on one side. It looks even until you add water, maybe I should just not add the water :rotfl: . My mom is doing better but still is not off the pain meds so she is still a pain. I took her food yesterday and Nana did dishes for her. She was so wiped out from Sat. It was just to soon to be going on an outing. She does this kind of thing after every surgery. When she had her stent put in she was upset they wouldn't let her go back to work until after the weekend. So sorry we are requiring you to take off a weekend after you heart surgery.

Well the Dr went fine. Gave blood, will get results next week. The best thing is they are going to ahve all my records faxed to them so I only need to go to one place for copies and letters! Hopefully by next week I will have everything!

Today is the 2 yr anniversary of my mom's death...It gets a bit easier each year, I just try to do something to remember her by every year. She died at the early age of 50 and it was really unexpected. So if you will all indulge me here's my fav pic from our wedding of me & mom.

Ordered my Samsung 40 inch LCD from amazon last nite! :cool1: Free shipping and no tax (and cheaper than Walmart!) I'm such a shopper that of course I'd read every review so I feel pretty good about it. Looking forward to hooking it up!
