We didnt leave until 1am! Then we had to stop at his friend from work's for a new work phone and then drive the car back to the parking garage and THEN get a cab home. it took forever. we got to bed at 5am!!!! :scared1:
OMG that was a long day and OK stupid thing to say but if KC didn't want to be with you anymore then he really would not go to an all day wedding with you!

So, if you're friends with me on FB, you may have noticed that I enrolled my two youngest kiddos in public school Friday.
You have the right to do what you feel is best for your kids, as long as they're happy and you are there really is nothing to discuss with others :snooty::hug:

Before I read the entire sentence I was thinking that "rubbish" must be some new game they have in England. :rotfl2:
Hope you are having better golf days.
:rotfl:

We may do some "leap peeping" from the boat if the leaves change sometime soon,
Whats that??? And hope you find out when D is really coming home :rotfl2:

Oh sure, I'm back and everyone leaves me to talk to myself;)
It has been so quiet here without you that we've all forgotten how to chat :rotfl2:

D and I were going to go on a long beautiful walk today round a place called Appledore. It was about 30 minutes drive away and 5 minutes into the 5 mile walk the black clouds came and we turned round :rotfl2: So instead we went and looked round the shops in a quaint little town called Tenterten before looking at some deck then supermarket and home for lunch :sad2: But this afternoon was nice so we went for a 1.5 hour walk instead :thumbsup2

Is this the Scholastic book fair? Do you know how much of the proceeds the school gets to keep? Just wondering b/c ds is at a new school and they sent a flyer home saying that they get 50% of the sales from those catalog sales. I thought that sounded like a lot. I was thinking it was more like 20%. Anyway, they were asking parents to send in money, rather than doing the catalog sales. I'd rather do that anyway. The library at the school has hardly any books. They have empty shelves and the shelves that have books are only 1/4 full. The playground only has a slide and a couple of swings..

Advice from the Former PTA Queen: our school in Ft worth stocked the entire library from Scholastic book fairs---you get a lot of bonus books plus 3 fairs per year=lots of books. We were very proud of it. We were gonna do the playground next but the school board did that, so we did all the landscaping for the school (raised a lot of $$ from monthly skating parties and our fall carnival too).

Super sad thing--I'm in a really poor school district now (unlike that one) and people just don't volunteer and fundraise---course I do realize most are working full time to pay bills, but it's still kinda sad.

I think you will have fun. I hear Carnival is the party boat..

That's the plan! :lmao: 2nd honeymoon + no kids!

Funny thing--I told my MIL about the cruise and she said "oh no--you can't go--there are sharks!"

Uh....we go to the beach every year---just got back from the Bahamas!

++++++++++++

Ok--remember my excitement about the crocs BOGO sale? Well....Daran got his ACE golf shoes.....I got NOTHING---no athens, no shoes.....they were sold out. So the only thing she could find in my size was fuschia sassari
sassari
I think they are kinda cute---for the cruise right?? BA is laughing her little rear off at the thought of me wearing rubber high heels....

Good Morning, Peeps!

I read, but didn't quote, I hope you don't mind.... but let's test the memory, shall we?

Jo - sounds like a nice day. I wish we had quaint little towns to shop in, here. All we have are HUGE malls, although the ocean cities do have really cute boutiques, etc.

Janet - so good to see you back. I did notice the page count since your return. ;):lmao:

Dawn - No judgement here. I wish I had the patience to HS, but I don't. You do what you think is best for your family. :goodvibes

Hi Mary, Kat, S'late, CE, Tracy, Jen, TE and anyone else I may have missed! :wave2:
********************************************************

We headed to DLR yesterday for a few hours. The weather was really nice, we even used hoodies for the first time in months! We rode a few rides in DLR, then hopped over to DCA for some lunch and a few more rides. Evan was acting strange from the start. My momma senses were off, as I didn't catch the sickie signs... first he had a fit full sleep, tossing and turning, then he wanted to use the stroller at Disney, then he said he was tired during lunch and then asked to go home. :confused3 Sure enough, we got home and he had a fever, glossy eyes and the congestion started. :guilty: I kept him home today. Poor little guy.

I had planned to hit Target and some other places today, but now I'm stuck at home. Oh well, maybe I'll work on my TR. :surfweb:

BBL!

Janet--I think your title was "official spell checker" Right???

;);)

JK--you must be seeing a little better today?

__________
Did I tell you all I have to go to Nashville for my ear appt on 9/29? He won't operate then but it's my pre-surgery appt. About a five hour + drive too.

TE Sharks:rotfl: She sounds like my MIL when we fly. You can't fly, what if the plane crashes. :confused3

Can't get the shoe link to work!

Hey, I love you too!

Poor Evan! Hope he feels better soon!

Hey, no making fun of my typos until I'm back to normal. Then they are fair game ;-).

I am better each day. It seems like my left eye is clearing up faster than the right, though. Will find out more tomorrow when I go back to the specialist!

Operate? What did I miss?

well, remember I can't hear squat in my left ear now---60 decibel loss which is WAY below speaking level....and my cute little hearing aid can't keep up even if it wasn't broken right now.....so it's time to think about the surgery which should be able to get me back to 95% hearing.

They will replace the little ear bone (stapes) that has fused itself to the other bones. My doctor is sending me to Vanderbilt cause it's a good place and not too many people do this kinda surgery really well (actually he said lots used to try it...but they weren't too successful )---so I want a good doctor! It's a genetic thing, and my right ear will go too so it's smart to get them done when the other one is still working....cept I really don't look forward to it.

Hi Ingrid! :wave2: I'm Sam, the youngest focker. I go to UC Davis in a wildlife major. Im engaged to Marc whos gone a lot because hes a firefighter that commutes a good distance. Glad to have you around.

Janet: I'm amenic also, but never take my iron.:rolleyes1 Everytime theres a blood drive going on it makes me feel guilty because i cant give blood because of it.

BA is laughing her little rear off at the thought of me wearing rubber high heels....

At least they arent stilettos!:scared1: I just imagine rubber bending under your weight lol

Saturday night my car was broken into and my faceplate was stolen!:headache: I hate not having a radio!
Off to work!

I can't get Jim to even try a pair of Crocs. He won't even wear sandals.

I;m losing it, the load of laundry I was going to fold and put away...apparently I did that last night:rotfl:

Hey Sam :wave2: I never even thought about giving blood. Maybe that's why I almost passed out the last time I gave:rolleyes1

I started taking a multi-vitamin with Iron, becasue the 10mg iron piulls kill my stomach.

Is Marc fighting the wildfires? I will keep good thoughts coming your way!

OK, so I just found out that Christmas decorations don't go up until Thanksgiving. FOr next year I need your opinions. Columbus weekend to do MNSSHP or Veteren's Weekend. Is F & W still happening in November? I hear November crowds are better that October??? Opinions please. This will be my trip to go visit my parents, so I would not do a ton of park stuff. Mostly just hanging out with mom & dad. Maybe some hotel hopping, DTD, that kind of stuff.

Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllp!

Whats that??? And hope you find out when D is really coming home :rotfl2:

Looking at the leaves changing into their autumn colours. It's a big deal around here. ;)

So instead we went and looked round the shops in a quaint little town called Tenterten before looking at some deck then supermarket and home for lunch :sad2: But this afternoon was nice so we went for a 1.5 hour walk instead :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great day, all in all!

Perfect for cruising!

Tennis was fun! There were actually 7 people there - I'm shocked! :rotfl:

Hi Fockers!

I've been MIA these past few days. My computer was attacked with some kind of virus and until I can get it fixed I'm at the library. WooHoo...NOT! LOL

I caught up on this page but nothing else. I need to look up a Kristal update (or did she go to Disney? I know Rosie is down there now).

Hope everyone is doing well. :)

:goodvibes Thanks for all your support and encouragement. I woke up to several e-mails from people asking me if the rumor was true about my kids goin to school. It's so emotionally exhausting to deal wiht everyone, I swear. :sad2:

Mary- Mel and I aren't going for girls' weekend. I decided to book a trip for Kirt's bday and asked her if her and hubby would like to join us. Jo's going for the running thing. (Can you hear my lack of interest in running? :lmao:) I think there is a group going in October. Jodi would know more about it. :thumbsup2

I think most of Oct. and Nov. are about the same crowd-wise. Oct. tends to be warmer, while there's always the possibility of cooler weather in Nov. F&W generally ends the first weekend in Nov., so Veteran's Day rarely coincides. Go when you can enjoy the fest! :thumbsup2

Hi - remember me?! I know, I've been MIA. Life has been very, very hectic and I just haven't been feeling the posting bug, I guess. Hope things are well around here!

Glad you had fun and you weren't the only one who showed up!

Hi Fockers!

:wave2: Hi Lori! How is school going?

:goodvibes Thanks for all your support and encouragement. I woke up to several e-mails from people asking me if the rumor was true about my kids goin to school. It's so emotionally exhausting to deal wiht everyone, I swear. :sad2:

Just tell people to mind their own damn business!

Cold won't bother me. I was leaning towards Veteren's day only because it would save me a couple of Vacation Days. I really want to go to F & W fest though. Will have to wait until the dates come out I guess. My mom has never gone either so it is something I think she'd really enjoy!
