Kristel - :hug:

HI to everyone else

Hi Mo :wave: To funny about the eraser, no?:rotfl:

EYes great today:cool1: Not 100%, but much better! Have the specialist at 12:30 and if the last appointment I won't get into see the doctor until almost 3 :sad: Will let you all know how I make out.
Wooohoooo hope the appointment goes well and wow the eraser or as we call it rubber, came out quick :rotfl2:

I hate chucking! :rotfl2:
Me too :rotfl2:

I'm heading to MGM this morning and will ride ToT for all of you! :goodvibes
Oooh Amber from the Moms Panel is there too, have fun :goodvibes

Well the house is tidy the ironing is all done I even got the suitcase out of the loft, I hate rainy days :rotfl2:

Rockie's mom is still not doing much better. I have been pursuing back up plans for the trip just in case. We got the insurance but I'm hoping they will let me push it back until the beginning of December if needed. I'll keep you posted.

Also, I think I forgot to mention that tomorrow Doug has an appoitment for consult on radiation treatment for his itty bitty tumors. It seems on the last MRI a couple of spots 'lit' back up. :sad2: They stopped the Temodar.

:hug: on both counts. :hug:

Just a quick hi. My tummy's not feeling so great. I'm going back to bed as soon as Gus gets on his bus.

Feel better!

Definitely let us know.

ERASER UPDATE:It came out just fine!:rotfl:
I didn't post last night, though I read. When I was four, (and this is one of those crystal clear memories you get randomly from young childhood) I found a button in the gravel in my grandma's driveway. I wanted to smell it :confused: :rotfl: :rotfl2: (WHY I wanted to smell is it not nearly so clear) and it got stuck up my nose. :lmao: These things, they happen. ;) :rotfl2:

I'm heading to MGM this morning and will ride ToT for all of you! :goodvibes

Thank you! :goodvibes

*********************************************************
I have nothing going on today until the kids have tennis after school. I'm taking advantage of that, because tomorrow is pretty busy and I have morning activities on Thursday and Friday.

Tomorrow I have to drive the kids into school at 8:00 (school starts at 8:30) for the "meet the teacher" bit. We go in early, they show me their stuff, then they go outside and we get the "this is the plan" teacher talk. Sadly, D left this morning and isn't back until tomorrow night. He's always somehow managed to be around for this - I don't know what I'm going to do. I hate to pick one room to stay in, but I'd feel disruptive moving back and forth whilst the teachers are presenting. :confused:

Then, my "holiday friend" is having arthroscopic hip surgery as an outpatient tomorrow. I am driving her home, but she probably won't be done until 5:00ish. I may, then, have to attend a tennis team meeting in the early afternoon - I said it would depend on her surgery time, which we only found out late yesterday afternoon. I think I may just beg off that meeting, anyway. They don't know what time her surgery is. ;)

Thursday morning is tennis, and Friday morning is the volunteer coffee/orientation at the school. I don't need to be orientated, :rotfl: but I do need to go and beg for volunteers for book fair. :thumbsup2

None of this is that bad, it's just that I think I'll take total advantage of the day today. ;)

Morning Jo - Wow, you've gotten alot done today. Yeah, the eraser did pass quickly which makes me question what time it actually happened compared to what time the nurse called me???

Hey CE - Wow you have a bust week! I know what you mean about the moving from one class to the other. At Jimmy's school what they do is plan an hour so that the parents can spend 1/2 hour in one class and one 1/2 hour in the other. We also do our Back to School Event at night. Ours is next Tuesday at 7pm.

BTW - HAve you heard anything about the substituting? I'm still trying to catch up on everyone's lives!

Morning, morning, Fockers! :goodvibes

Morning two drop off went well once they got their huge backpacks out of the car. :rotfl: C's teacher didn't take all of her school supplies, so she was hauling those around still. :sad2:

On the way to school C told me that her teacher has fart spray in the classroom. She said it's for spraying around your chair if you fart and that there must have been some sort of contest going on yesterday. :lmao: Having a man for a teacher is different, I'll say.

Tonight's meet the teacher night for 3rd grade, so I'm excited about that. I got time to chat with A's teacher yesterday, so I feel really good about what's going on in his class. But with no communication home and the sad face paper Camryn drew, I'm anxious to get in there and learn about the 3rd grade expectations. B only went to public school K-2nd, so this is a new grade for me. :teacher:

I don't really have big plans for today. I think I'm going to organize some and clean out some of our books from school. I want to list them all and try and sell them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CE- Have a nice relaxing day. :cloud9:
Janet- Good luck at your appt. :hug:
Mel- Stay away from the vitamin gummy worms. :rolleyes1
I'd better run B to school now.
well, so much for keeping up around here. work, then sick for a few days with the crud that's going around. you know, the crud that everyone thinks is the swine flu. nope, not the swine flu. :rotfl2:
anyway, :hug: all around. only a couple days, then i'm outta here.
maybe i'll be able to stop in before then. maybe i'll get to see some of you next week! mel, i'll pm you my number.
Dawn - I will let Jim know that A thinks having a man teacher is cool ::thumbsup1:
Hi Rachel - :wave:
We had a rough start, he wouldn't get onto the field. Once he did though he had a ball. He liked playing goalie/defender best. Mom - I didn't let one ball get past me! I think it's becasue it has the least amount of running aroung:lmao:
:rotfl:
DS always wanted to play goalie, but he is such a fast runner, his coach never wanted to put him there. Finally got a turn at it and he was awful.
His first baseball game was last night. He got walked twice (got hit by the ball one of the times) and made 2 runs.
D and I were going to go on a long beautiful walk today round a place called Appledore. It was about 30 minutes drive away and 5 minutes into the 5 mile walk the black clouds came and we turned round :rotfl2: So instead we went and looked round the shops in a quaint little town called Tenterten before looking at some deck then supermarket and home for lunch :sad2: But this afternoon was nice so we went for a 1.5 hour walk instead :thumbsup2
That sounds nice. I've been telling dh that I miss his traveling. I want to go back to London.
So the only thing she could find in my size was fuschia sassari.
I love these! I have the black and white ones. They are very comfie. Only problem for you may be that they are cut wide. I have wide feet and they fit me perfect.
We headed to DLR yesterday for a few hours. The weather was really nice, we even used hoodies for the first time in months! We rode a few rides in DLR, then hopped over to DCA for some lunch and a few more rides. Evan was acting strange from the start. My momma senses were off, as I didn't catch the sickie signs... first he had a fit full sleep, tossing and turning, then he wanted to use the stroller at Disney, then he said he was tired during lunch and then asked to go home. :confused3 Sure enough, we got home and he had a fever, glossy eyes and the congestion started. :guilty: I kept him home today. Poor little guy.
Poor thing! I hope this doesn't get him like it got us. Baby Girl had fever for 6 days and ended up getting an ear infection, too. I was sick for a week and still have cough and some congestion I can't get rid of (been 3 weeks now).
Mary- Mel and I aren't going for girls' weekend. I decided to book a trip for Kirt's bday and asked her if her and hubby would like to join us. Jo's going for the running thing. (Can you hear my lack of interest in running? :lmao:)
I'm not into the running, either. Heck, I don't even want to be at WDW when a race is going on.
Patrick Swayze has passed. :sad1:
Sad
Just a quick hi. My tummy's not feeling so great. I'm going back to bed as soon as Gus gets on his bus. I want to hit the gym, but it will wait till 9 or 10.
:hug: Sorry you aren't feeling well.
Our school does 2 sessions back to back so parents can get to more than 1 teacher.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So, mr diz woke up feeling bad. He has a fever. He is never sick and was just bragging about not getting sick from me. Karma. :rotfl2:
I just hope ds doesn't get sick.
My sister called me yesterday to tell me our friends (they are my sister and her husbands best friends and always at our family gatherings) were riding their motorcycle Sunday and someone hit the husband. He died on impact. The driver fled on foot. Looks like the police caught the man. She saw the whole thing and is devastated. So sad. They've been together since she was 14.
Oh Mary, how sad for your friend. My thoughts and hugs to them and you :hug:
Dawn - Oops, I keep getting your kids confused. I need to get on the ball here!
Enjoy and I hope you get lots of volunteers :thumbsup2
That's terrible, I'm so sorry :hug:
Oh, Mary. I'm so sorry. What a horrible tragedy. :guilty:
Janet- I'll chalk it up to the eyes for now. LOL :rotfl2:
Wooohooo Dawn, my sister booked my trip and we're using her US cc so I can't check in :sad2:
--------------------------
BAck from the doctor, only there 2.5 hours this time. Much improvement! Gave me a bit stronger steroid drop, but he is verry happy with the progress. Go back again in 2 weeks!
Off to the Home and School Meeting. HAve a good night everyone!
FYI ladies, Kristel twittered this about 2 hours ago:
"JUST GOT WRD ROCKIES MOM IS DYING."
She said she wouldn't be on Enchanted tonight, sending thoughts and prayers to Kristal, Rockie, her Mom, and their family.
They actually do a separate time for every grade, so for MOST parents with more than one kid, it's fine. It's just those of us with twins who have the issue. ;) And D came home, but more on that to come.
I called the office last week. They hadn't gone through their sub applications vs. need yet, but said I'd definitely know something by Oct. :confused3
CE- Have a nice relaxing day. :cloud9:
I did, thanks, hope yours was good, too. :goodvibes
D called about 10:00 and their plane wasn't right, so they didn't go. He stayed at the office until just about a half hour ago, though, and test flew it once it was back up.
So, I still didn't have to make him dinner, and I got the boys fed and showered before he came back. But, now he can go to open house with me in the morning, and he was flying with Deb's (my local Deb ;)) DH, so now the DH is taking care of her after her hip surgery tomorrow and I am off the hook for that.
Anyway, that makes my day much better for tomorrow, at least for open house! I wasn't too worried about having to pick up my friend, but that's out now, too.
Hey--did u see my crocs link? What do you think--would you take them on the cruise??
No, I missed it. Was it the wedge ones?
I have been hanging around a cruise chat site. Those folks are a wild bunch. There are several juicy threads that DL Mama would love.
