Jim has a 2002 Forrester. Loves it. It has about 75,000 miles on it and is still in great running condiiton. THe only things we have really had to have is the normal wear and tear stuff, brake pads, etc.

Oh Janet! Carp, carp, carp! I hope it is just an allergy. They can treat that quickly. If it is a cold - pump the Zinc, Zicam or whatever! If you hit it hard right now you should be OK by the time you leave.

So...basically I have a virus. Nothing they can give, other than to make me comfortable. Should go away in 3 -5 days (6 days would be Friday). VIsine for the eyes, tylenol sinus for the stuffed nose, etc. Other than that lots of fluids. Good think I like water becasue I can't do juice. Acid doesn't agree with the stomach. Again, the weird thing is that I don't feel horrible, just tired. So, going to bed really early tonight and hoping to catch up on some sleep.

Congrats on the wins - those are cute. So... since I'm not much of a "girly girl" would I find VB bags I like? Everyone raves about the styles, but it's the patterns that don't really fit in my style, unless I'm just not aware of them all. Does that make sense?

I think they are really comfortable and soft and durable. There are less busy patterns. Check these out HERE, thats all the current styles. Ebags.com also has some of the older colors too, if those don't work for you. These are my 4th and 5th bags of hers and I LOVE every single one of them!

So I posted this on my TR but thought you all would like to see it too.

Since starting work there I have found out a lot of neat things about the store. Even tho the store isn't in an actual theme park, the theming is still all there, even when you don't expect it.

This will change the way you see the store if you have been there before! It certainly changed things fro me.

So what you are walking into is not just the WoD NYC, it's Mickey's NYC Mansion.

As you walk in, you are in the grand room, the main room of the house. To the right hand side is the elevator for the 3 floors.

The sides are Snow White themed.

To the left hand side, about halfway up the wall, is Mickey's fireplace. It used to have a big mantle picture over it, but apparently it fell and was never put back up.

There are several "hidden mickeys" around.

In the center of the room is the cash registers. BUT they are modeled after the pipe organ from Cinderella. I always thought they were a nod to the Wilderness Lodge or something. If you remove all the merchandise from the front of the register counters there is a full keyboard drawn onto it.

When you walk past the organ you enter "The Courtyard". Essentially you are entering the backyard of Mickey's Mansion. The floors even turn from floor to cobble stones (its a rug but you get the drift).

The theming is completely different than the front of the store.

When you turn around and face the front of the store you will see windows and open shutters so it appears that you are outside looking into the mansion.

The 2nd floor is considered like the play room (mostly toys and kids stuff is sold there) and the top floor is considered the gallery (where all the art and collectibles are).

Mini TR #2 for the day...Central Park & The Alice In Wonderland Statue!

This past Thursday KC picked me up from work and we went to have a little picnic in Central Park. I have been working for over a month now and passing by one entrance to the park every day and I have been too tired to go in. So today we decided that had to change!

We went in on 59th and 5th ave. This is one of the statues outside.

We walked past the Central Park Zoo, which apparently has gone up $2 since the last time went and is now $10 to get in. it's cool in there tho. I could watch the penguins all day. You can see into the main area through the gates, and a sea lion happened to be longing so I got a pic!

This is the clock that moves around and the animals rotate. I got all excited when i heard it going off but then realized it was half past the hour and they only move on the hour. oh well.

We stopped at a bench a ways past the zoo. KC had gone to subway and got 2 sandwiches and we shared them and people watched. It was a beautiful afternoon.

Hey Jordan-aren't you proud? I didn't even ask him to do it. I swear he can't take a normal picture- EVER!

Then we decided to go on the search for one of the only things I have never seen in Central Park- The Alice in Wonderland Statue. After reading punkin's TR i really knew I had to see it.

So off we went, wandering and taking pics.

I love it when the park and the city mix in the same photo- so weird but so cool. Its one of the things I love about NYC.

We found it!

It was really cool. People are ridiculous tho, climbing all over it like its a jungle gym! KC & I sat on a bench and let most of the people clear out so we could take some nice photos of it. It was hard tog et any when kids were playing on it too. But I digress.

I also took a few pics if the quotes from the book that surround the statue. Very neat.

We literally lounged on the bench for about half hour. it was so nice out and we had a great time just being there.

On the walk back out we came across this weird bench, sun dial type thing.

We wandered out of the park around 72nd street and decided to take the bus downtown since it was closer than the subway was. I was tired so I sat on a bench to wait, KC waited at the bus stop.

And thats all she wrote! It was a great day out tho!

I didn't want another van either but still wanted 2 rows of back seats.....and Abby is not happy about getting the MPV! I must say I am VERY happy with my Ford Explorer Limited---with the adjustable seats (leather for easy dog-paw cleanup!), I can see out much better. The SYNC system is super cool---downloads my cell each time so I can talk hands free for the whole ride. And of course, it's 4WD for our lovely driveway and winters!

Not Kat...but...It's a great hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the Lion King theater. Don't go see Little Mermaid. How about Mary Poppins. Want to go the non-Disney route? How about Hair (maybe too much for BA?), Jersey Boys, Wicked? Check out broadway.com and it lists all the shows currently playing.

Huh. I got the kids off to camp and then went to the grocery store. I was good, finally, and did the Active - I was good last week, but then took a four-day weekend. Sigh. And it was probably foolish to do it today as I have tennis later and it was a tough one for the legs, but oh well.

I have about 45 minutes before pick up. I'm not sure what to do. I could use a shower, but if I'm playing tennis later in 90 degree heat outside, well, it seems like a waste of resources.

The boys and I still have our regular tennis classes this afternoon, but that's not until 3:00, so we'll have some free time before then.

I really don't know much else. Hope everyone's having a decent day!

Not much going on today. No school. No daycare. I may take the kiddos to the library a little later today. Right now they are having fun playing with DR's blocks and Hot Wheels. Good Morning All !! What a morningFirst I as OFF today !! That usually is a good thing but not today !!!First Kyle was up all nigh with a toothache !! Judy made an appointment and I had to get up and take him !! Now bear in mind I worked till after midnight !! Sooo we ge to the dentist, he has a VERY bad cavity in a molar that is gonna need a root canal or extraction plus other cavaties !!They can't do nything till the infection is cleared and so I than had to run around getting the antibioti make sure he took it run to PO, run to bank !! Then in an hour I have a NASTY preceedure to be done at my OB/GYN !!! I am not a Happy Camper !!

Okay vent over I feel better ! That's why I love you guys I can get it all out and get HUGS !!You are all Great !! Jo still is the BESTEST thoug!h!!

Yes, it has 3 rows---and the last one has power up/down to add more storage space. It fits us really well----and I felt very safe this winter in all the snow---it has real 4WD (not just AWD) with both high and low features.
I was not even in the market for Explorers but a salesman said "just drive this one" and it was perfect---of course it's Hokie maroon color which helped too!

My MPV (that Ab will be driving...he he....) has the service engine light on..gotta figure out what's wrong. I think Ab is hoping it's serious!
