I forgot to tell you guys that Chris was in an accident Friday.
 How's he feeling today?

Guess who's back on-line?!
 Glad it's finally over and you're getting settled.

OMG and this is the woman that gave birth to me and raised me:eek::lmao:
 :rotfl:Mothers! Which Housewife does Murph know? Thank you for getting me sucked into that train wreck. ;)

'A', 'C', me and my DH are the thrill seekers. We hit the new coaster, "Diamondback". All I can say is wow!
Looks awesome! :woohoo:

Ok, so Gus is feeling a wee bit better.
Sick is no fun. Glad he's better. :thumbsup2

So, we don't know anymore, but he's not excited about starting to feel bad with the chemo. :sad2:
 to you and Dad.

My dad's 60th birthday is tomorrow
Happy Birthday Dad! :dance3:

I have a call in to DVC already. :yay:
So what did they say? ;)

Not much going on around here today. I've been watching the French Open, tennis, in between laundry and straightening the house. We're having dinner at my sister's tonight because they leave for Memphis early tomorrow morning. They will be with my parents for a few days and then they are leaving Reid and going to Hot Springs, Arkansas for a spa vacation. I know it's AR, but if you ever have the chance to go, it's lots of fun. The Arlington Hotel was around in the days of Al Capone and Hot Springs was neutral ground so all the gangsters could vacation without worrying about being gunned down.

I have had to leave a message the past few times I've called. I haven't actually spoken to my guide since we were on the tour. And, it's starting to annoy me.

The hot springs sounds so cool. What a neat bit of history, too! :cutie:

Good to know, thanks!

:thumbsup2

As I was just going to say something about the whole Jon & Kate thing and how crazy it is. I enjoyed watching them when they were first on but things have definately changed over the years/seasons and can't stand either of them anymore. I feel so sorry for those kids.

How bad is it when the kids say to dad..I don't want you to leave anymore!:sad2:

Happy BIrthday Dad!:cool1:

Long day. I cleaned all day while KC slept all day. We ate leftovers for dinner and basically hung around. My back is killing me. BUT KC brought me some late night iced coffee so I am about to indulge and then relax with some reading. Night all!

Hope your back is feeling better!

How are we doing for the 25th? Are we a go?

And she got into a fight with a kid at lunch the other day...

Spill Sisterpopcorn::

Ugh. The computer's downstairs now at a desk in the kitchen and K's snoring is driving me nuts! :headache:
Yikes! He was just whispering in his sleep!!! Creepy! It's bad enough trying to get used to the noises in a new house without that!

:lmao::lmao:

Good morning! It's me! Back at the right time and the right place!

The universe is back on the correct axis:hug:

Hi Janet!

I'm going to work in the library today. It's probably my last day to do that for the year. Bob's home this morning but I guess he'll just have to wait to see me...
Of course, all this hinges on Gus going to school. AND since he isn't even awake yet, that's not really a sure thing. Here's hoping.

Hope gus was able to make it school today:goodvibes When are your kids done school?

Yesterday was the last day of school for the kiddos. My niece is on her senior trip to NY so I am taking today off to watch the kids. It is going to be a major housecleaning day for us. I had a long talk with the kids last night and told them I expected them to help today and this would be their spending money in Disney. We will see how it goes.

WOw your kids are done early! Do they go back before Labor day?

With all the rain we have been having, I'm having the same issue. Woody's ALWAYS a bear Thursday afternoons, anyway, and being stuck inside (and no Wii...)

Jimmy didn't have a good day yesterday either. Details below!

I told him later that if he ever DID fall into the ditch, it would only take me 45 minutes to go looking for him.

:lmao::rotfl2:

It's really getting hard to wake up easily, with the rain. It's yet again raining and 48. Today is supposed to get just a tad warmer, then tomorrow we're back to 77 and partly sunny.

I;m hoping the rains go away in time for the game tonight!

We're discussing making movie night be actually going out to see Up, but we haven't decided fully yet.

We may go to see this tomorrow!

I will have a 12 year old tomorrow. Is 12 considered to be a teenager? Regardless, I'm not ready for 12, but it's happening when I like it or not. ;)

Not a teenager yet:hug:

I have a call in to DVC already. :yay:

Morning. I started to quote but had to stop as I'm out of time! :flower3: Hope everyone has a great Friday!

My back is all screwy - sciatica's acting up badly and I'm in a ton of pain... whilst tied to the computer for a full day of writing. :headache: I'm off to take some Advil and stretch for a minute.

Ugh. Hope the back feels better:hug:

His neck hurts on the sides, but not front and back (did that make sense?) and his back is still hurting.

Did he call the doctor?
=================================================

So, Jimmy had a horrible day at school yesterday. Not focusing, getting up and wandering around, basically all the stuff that started all this in September. LAst night Jim and I were talking trying to figure out what the heck was going on with him when I said to him...What time did you give his medicine. He gave me this blank look and says I thought you gave him his medicine:headache: We felt sooooooooo bad. I talked to his teacher today to apoligize since it was our goof. She was very sweet and said mistakes happen and at least I got a look at what he is like without the meds. I LOVE HER:goodvibes

Today His class is having alive animal show with snakes, birds, and other animals indicitive to Southeastern PA:scared:. They are also doing their relay for life. Each class raises money for the SUsan Komen Foundation and then each class goes out and does a 15 minute walk. Then I will pick him up from school to get ready for the Phillies game.:cheer2:

Tball tomorrow and then we may or may not go see up. I realy should go start some laundry or cleaning the guest room but............I don't wanna:upsidedow

I have had to leave a message the past few times I've called. I haven't actually spoken to my guide since we were on the tour. And, it's starting to annoy me.
Yes, it would me too!

That was so sad!

So, Jimmy had a horrible day at school yesterday.
Poor Jimmy, but thank goodness you figured it out.

Lori: I know what you mean about waiting for bedtime. Mine are alot older and I've been doing the countdown lately too. :sad2: LONG days lately....
Happy Bday to your Dad!

So it doesn't get any better as they get older, huh? :rotfl: Lindsey asked me just last night when I was putting her to ed if she could stay up until midnight. Uh no...I like my quiet time so you are going to bed at 9 and your going to like it. You can stay up until midnight when your in college and have mounds of homework to finish.

Hope you can get the kids to clean. :thumbsup2

We're discussing making movie night be actually going out to see Up, but we haven't decided fully yet.

If you go see this give a review please. For some reason I thought it was out already and was surprised to see that it comes out today. I guess having the Disney Channel on 24/7 doesn't help since they play the previews for it over and over and over again. I was thinking of taking the kids next weekend/week to see it.

I know, right?!?! I understand they want to be able to support their family by doing this show but enough is enough and it's time to pull the plug. Who wants to watch a marriage fall apart and the kids suffer from it. I've already been through a divorce and don't really want to watch one happen publicly.

Just cleaning up the house today and doing some laundry. Its a cool and dreary day so the kids will most likely be inside. :headache: At least we get a break and will head to my grandma's for dinner.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for my dad. I'll be sure to pass them on. :goodvibes

Hope y'all have a good Friday! :cutie:

Just cleaning up the house today and doing some laundry.

I should probably do something:rolleyes:

Good morning girls! & Mr. T.!

No time to quote, but I did read some pieces parts.

CE:  - sending lots of good thoughts for your Pops.

V: I feel your pain, sister. Literally. Back pain sucks.

Mel: Hope Gus feels better soon! Oh and Caps who-haw heals quickly:rolleyes:

Dawn: I would call for another guide. Ours is Larry Hope and he's awesome. :teeth:

I know I forgot tons of other stuff, sorry! :flower3:

************************************************

Last night was Hair Salon night and whilst I was doing my SIL's hair, my brother went to pick up 2 gopher snakes from his friend. They brought them over and fed them little mice. One mice got the death card in like 2 minutes, but the other one was super spry and he out sleuthed the snakes. Maddie decided the mouse won her over and asked if she could keep it. My brother took it home, thinking we could come over today to pick it up, but I just read on FB that mouse got the card too. I'm hoping Mads forgot about it. :rolleyes1

Busy day today... lots of :laundy:, and cleaning and then we're off to see UP! and then the Lakers play tonight, so we'll be planted infront of the TV cheering them on! :cheer2:

Happy Friday everyone! :goodvibes

I will have a 12 year old tomorrow. Is 12 considered to be a teenager? Regardless, I'm not ready for 12, but it's happening when I like it or not. ;)

I think that's still "tween." ;)

Let us know what you think. Part of me wants to see it because it's Pixar, then part of me's not interested. :confused3

I frankly think the kids would probably be more interested in Night at the Museum 2 - we've watched the first a couple of times and they like it - but D wants Up, and I've heard nothing but good things... I pre-bought the tix, so we are definitely going. I'll let you know!

 to you and Dad.

Thanks!

Not much going on around here today. I've been watching the French Open, tennis, in between laundry and straightening the house.

I just turned the Open on, and should be doing laundry (I will in a bit.)

When I was little, we went to visit my aunt, uncle & cousin in TX nearly every year, and passed the Hot Springs area - it's quite nice!

His neck hurts on the sides, but not front and back (did that make sense?) and his back is still hurting.

Oh, no.

What time did you give his medicine.

Oh, no - but glad the teacher was understanding, and she's right - stuff happens. It's OK.

I guess having the Disney Channel on 24/7 doesn't help since they play the previews for it over and over and over again. I was thinking of taking the kids next weekend/week to see it.

Will do - we're going to the 4:30 show, which should end around 6:00 and then we're going out for dinner. So, it will be later, but I'll let you know!

CE:  - sending lots of good thoughts for your Pops.

Thanks - small update below.

I'm hoping Mads forgot about it. :rolleyes1

::yes:: :scared1:

I had fun at school, then had a message on my cell when I left. I thought it would be Mom, but it was my dear cousin in MD, whom we saw for Thanksgiving and then she had a baby the day after we left. Her DH's niece (he's the youngest of 7, so he has older nieces and nephews...) is graduating from MIT next weekend, so they are coming up and are staying with us!!! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see the baby, and the 3 yo is adorable. Plus, I love my cousin. :lovestruc

And, it gives me great incentive to do a good cleaning again. ;)

Then, my dad just called - his surgical procedure for the chemo port went fine, and as a bonus it looks like his brother and the helpers will indeed have the soybeans planted by Monday, anyway. :thumbsup2

We wanted the early show of Up, but then D thinks we need to leave pretty early (even though there are 3 shows in this particular theatre at 4:30, 4:45 and 5:00 AND we already bought tix ) so we'll probably leave right around the time the kids get home from school. D did leave again for a bit, and I need to start some laundry. :laundy: So... Off my bum for a bit to do some stuff! :)

I started quoting but gave up :rotfl:

So did anyone miss me? :rotfl2:

It's been busy busy busy here, wednesday David and I played golf with some friends in the pouring rain and then we had take away afterwards. Then yesterday we were at the European Open golf all day, I then fell asleep when we got home then we went out for a meal. And there was more golf today, D and I played with 2 of my friends who I always play with on Fridays and I got grumpy as I lost yet again, D is playing so well and not giving me enough shots :lmao:

The girls are now home and Jess is asleep on the sofa, they both had a fantastic and horrid time all at the same time :rotfl: Apparently some of the other leaders were nasty and Jess who hates heights had to do a climbing wall and made it up about 2 feet :rotfl:

Anyway what I can remember..........

Welcome home Angela & Mitch
Dawn so pleased you're finally in
CE hope everything goes well with your Dad
Kat sorry about the neighbours
Deb hilarious gargling son you have there :rotfl:
Kristel looks like you had fun

Lori Happy Birthday to your Dad
V get better
Rosie too funny
Janet glad that it was only because you forgot the meds!

Everyone else, forgive me I'm old and forget :rotfl:

Thanks Jo:goodvibes

Off to pick up Jimmy from school andthen get ready for his first Phillies game. I'm sure Jim will be bringing the camera so I will post some pictures...probably tomorrow.

Have a good night everyone!:goodvibes

DAWN!!!!!
Shame on you.

I have had to leave a message the past few times I've called. I haven't actually spoken to my guide since we were on the tour. And, it's starting to annoy me.
That's not good. Poor Paul....

The universe is back on the correct axis:hug:

Hope gus was able to make it school today:goodvibes When are your kids done school?
Correct! LOL

Gus made it through the day (so far). I saw him during my time at the library and he was tired, but fine. The boys have a half day on June 11th and that's the last day. They go back after Labor Day. We don't get a Feb. break, so that's why the LONG summer vacation!

No, it gets worse! :rotfl: Now, they stay up SO late on weekends that I go to bed before them. :rotfl2: I just tell them, please lock the doors and shut everything off before you turn in!

Mel: Hope Gus feels better soon! Oh and Caps who-haw heals quickly:rolleyes:
Thanks. He seems to be on the mend. Cappucino is doing GREAT! She's eating again and drinking. I bribed her with watermelon. (Which she loves!)

:yay::yay::yay: Yes! I was just retelling my story of meeting Mia Michaels to K. He's not impressed. :sad2:

Did I post the pics?

I'm pretty sure u did, butu can post 'em again!!! ;)

My niece is on her senior trip to NY so I am taking today off to watch the kids.

Did she like the map and the other stuff u got her?

My back is all screwy - sciatica's acting up badly and I'm in a ton of pain... whilst tied to the computer for a full day of writing. :headache: I'm off to take some Advil and stretch for a minute.

I feel ya today! I'm bad in the back dept. Feel better! I myself need to soak in a hot epsom salt bath.

Hope your back is feeling better!

How are we doing for the 25th? Are we a go?

I am giving the friends I invited until the end of June (round about both our birthdays actually) to give me the $ for the hotel. I am pretty sure we are a go, say 90% so I will know def then tho. Hope thats ok. I think Mo is in to come too!!!!

**********************
Calgon take me away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KC is drilling and sawing and whatever-ing the back of the TV unit to make a hole for an exhaust fan. It's FRIKKIN LOUD!!!! My head is killing me!!! He wants to put in 2 fans, here's hoping he tuckers out for the 2nd because this carp is out of control!

My back is poretty bad I have resigned myself to the straight comphy recliner or on the bed with a pillow under my knees, other wise it hurts. I had to pop on here and check in tho!

Spoke to an old friend who's in town for the week and we made some plans to meet up in the city Tuesday. I'm really excited to see her!

Otherwise not much going on for the weekend! Hope it's a great one for you all!

So did anyone miss me? :rotfl2:

I did, but I knew you were at the Open yesterday, glad you had a good few days! :goodvibes

CE hope everything goes well with your Dad

Thank you. How's your granny doing?

Glad it went well!:thumbsup2

Thanks!

D is cooking dinner and I'm attempting to wake Jess up, she doesn't want to though :rotfl2:

Isn't "D" so much easier? ;) What did he make?

Off to pick up Jimmy from school andthen get ready for his first Phillies game. I'm sure Jim will be bringing the camera so I will post some pictures...probably tomorrow.

Can't wait to see! Woody and Buzz were jealous that Jimmy was going to a game. Fenway is nearly impossible - I looked at BOTH Chicago teams, my beloved Cardinals AND the Brewers for when we're in IL for DBIL's wedding, and seriously, all 4 teams are on the road.

I am so glad they can help him. :goodvibes
Have fun at the movie!

Thanks.

Cool! Sorry about your head and your back - hope it got better. Have a good night!

OMG, Up was FANTASTIC! I didn't know what to expect. I liked Wall-E very, very much, but I LOVE this movie. It was just so friggin' sweet, and laugh out loud funny, too. I cried, twice, at the sweet stuff, but then also just laughed and laughed.

The kids loved it, D, loved it... Good stuff. It is PG - some parts might be a little scary for tiny kids - but there's no language or even any gross humor or whatnot. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 - one for each of us.

Then we went out to a new Mexican place in our town. This is the second restaurant from the same people - we've been to the other one, which is in the town with our gym - but this just opened. It was really good, but Buzz developed a migraine type headache (for those who weren't around, we went through this a lot a little over a year ago, did an MRI, the whole shebang. It turns out kids get migraines, too. :sad2:) He's been a lot better lately, but this was a bad one. So, we kind of rushed through dinner - D took him outside for a while, I had Buzz's food boxed, and I was getting ready to go switch with D after wolfing down my meal when they came back in. Buzz ate maybe 1/3 of his food, but it was enough time to get D's dinner in. He's reading to them now.

We have the early baseball game in the morning. We've talked a bit about the boat this weekend, but the weather isn't looking great. Tomorrow is supposed to be 72 up there, but chance of showers in the afternoon. Sunday HAD said fully sunny, but only 65 - now there's showers in the forecast for Sunday, too. My guess is that we'll end up skipping it - the kids had fun last weekend, but really want to be able to swim, tube, whatnot, and it's just not warm enough yet. In 3 weeks, when they're ALMOST done with school , maybe it will be better.

Next weekend, right now, there's not great weather forecast, plus I'll have to see what my cousin's really looking at as far as spending time here, vs. needing to see the graduate and that family. ;)

O.k. ladies I know I am hardly ever here anymore but this vent needs a little more than the Facebook page can give.

A couple of weeks ago a huge limb fell off a tree and landed in my front yard. It was a huge limb that covered a large part of my yard. My son had been playing in this yard just before this fell. Thank God he had went in the house. This tree is half dead. Most of it is hollow and it is on the city right of way and I can not have it cut down. The city is the only ones who can have it cut down. It has been dropping small limbs and branches for years, that me and the neighbor have to pick up in order to mow our yards. We have complained about it every year for years.

When the limb fell I was told the tree would be cut down. I was told it would be taken care of the next day. The neighbor was told last week it would get cut down this week. It is still there. My neighbor called the mayor tonight while I emailed some government officials. The mayor, when asked about the tree, responded by asking the neighbor when was he going to move the trailer out of his yard.

I feel the mayor is trying to trade my son's safety for a clean yard and not even my yard. He is telling me through the neighbor that I can have a safe place for my son to play if my neighbor cleans up his yard.

This is going to make a great campaign slogan for him this year don't you think?

Well that is all and thanks for letting me vent some.
