it's been crazy busy around here. schools out now, graduation parties, trips back to ohio to mow the grass, etc.....

saw that kat is now a disney employee!!! congrats!!! i saw it on fb, that's the only way i know. i usually check in there every couple days and look at status updates. hope all is well with everyone else.


i did get a new dog. i wasn't looking for one, but someone dropped her off at the er........ and i'm a softie!! she looks like a ****-zu. she's great with the kids, my dog, house broken. took her to the vet, she's a-ok, just a bit underweight. so now i have a 100lb dog and a 7lb dog running around the house! i'll post pics if i ever get a chance!

Ellie had to go to the orthodontist this morning, last time we went we literally watched the whole of Finding Nemo in the waiting room so were expecting a huge wait again. Her appointment was at 11am so I picked her up from school at 10.15 and we got there early because there was no traffic. Well she didn't even have time to clean her teeth and we were seen and back to school by 11am when her actual appointment was Couldn't believe it!!! Bad thing though is she has to go on the waiting list for braces and that won't be till April 2010 At least they're free though

Same thing happened to me cuz I have the same dog a sihtzu(lets see if that gets thru) I also have a 100# Pit Bull who absolutely adores the little guy !! In fcat the little one RULES!!!

I need to go in about 2 minutes for fun tennis, then my day is pretty much free. I don't even need to go to the grocery store.

Wow...you were in and out this time around. And glad you get the braces for free! Sorry it'll take so long but I'm sure you'll be saving a ton.

Except that, despite my work computer being a laptop, I've been told I'm not allowed to telecommute, so if I go home to avoid being bitten - and BTW, I'm ALLERGIC to them! - I'll have to take vacation time... and it'll be considered unscheduled so it'll count against my attendance. Nice.

But so far, so good. I've made a barrier all around my feet with diatamaceous earth. Have I ever gushed over this stuff on here? It's amazing! A natural mineral type powder that basically dries bugs out through contact. Completely safe for humans, pets and plants. It's the only bug thing I use and it works better than any chemical.

We have a presentation to all the supervisors on Thursday, so everything has to be done by then. My co-workers think I am crazy because I brought in colored pencils and color coded each unit on each floor. I may be crazy but it works

We have our Brownie Father/Daughter bowling tonight, so that should be fun. Friday I have Evan's Pre-K "good-bye" luau and then next week I have the end of year party for Maddie's 1st grade class and our final Brownie meeting until the fall. THANK YOU!

I was meant to be on another conference call last night but it was at 7pm EST so midnight to me, well I got everything ready and was going to take the call in bed and fell asleep 15 minutes before it started

I had a solo riding lesson last night and it was AWESOME!!! (Leo was exhausted from Horse Camp, so he stayed home.) Everything just came together and I spent a good part of the lesson in a trot, with my horse actually following my leads.

We made it to Atlanta abour 5.oo last night, got checked in and had dinner with the rest of the group. After dinner we had drinks with another couple and she mentioned that she'd be tired from driving all day. Well, I wasn't until you brought it up. So it was an early night. As soon as Mitch can duck out, were headed to the Braves game. They lost last night so hopefully they will fare better today.

I think Mel sent me her germs... I feel kinda yucky in the tummy. It started yesterday after I ate a not-so-yummy meal at Mc D's. It wasn't my choice, but the girls both had shots yesterday, so I took them. I'm hoping it'll be gone soon. I'm functional at least.

Mom's coming to get my younger two a few minutes. They're going to the mall jumper place with her and my nephew. I think I'm going to take the opportunity to go to the grocery store without them even thought I feel queasy thinking about food.

So, all the boxes are unpacked other than some school boxes. They are slowly getting sifted through and most all of that stuff will be for sale at the mom's meeting I'm having at my house in July. K is slowly working on projects that need to be done. The former owners replaced the appliances, flooring, and carpet, but the faucets, sinks and other things are so old the finish is coming off. It's so nice he's handy. It was nice to get to sleep with a fan on in my room last night that wasn't clinking and wobbling!

So, today K's sending our DVC paperwork back. It's almost official. I already made our ressies for a 2 bedroom for 5 nights over spring break!

I've been posting on an anti-bullying thread on the community board, it's the one that's called "Absolutely Livid At The Teacher". I'm still amazed at some of the attitudes towards bullying that are out there (kids will be kids, let them work it out, it's all in good fun, ugh!)

Whoever posted the picture of those weird looking shoes, I'm intrigued-I have a "no toes" policy when we're in WDW due to an unfortunate incident when I was 12 that involved flip flops and a door and a toenail that was knocked off-that was a miserable summer.

I'm being really, really lazy today about getting off my behind and cleaning. The kids are not amused (mom, get off the computer!) I worked sooooo long yesterday, including driving an hour each way down to the office with both kids in tow during production day (I work for a newspaper), and the boss was in a baaaaaad mood and had fired two people (out of a 10 person office ).

I'm on the waiting list for 1 night at Hilton Head for either a studio or a 1 bdrm, DH has thurs and friday off and we thought it might be fun to go over there for two days (it's 4 hrs away) just for a quick getaway and recharge and to surprise the kids. I hope I get it!

Ok, now I'm going to go do the laundry and the dishes and vacuum. Really. Right now. Here I gooo....
